listen i will always be forever salty and bitter that they didnt use adam's corpse to turn it into the hound.

because imagine how terrifying it would have been for everyone in the schnee manor if the one guy that's been terrorizing her for years STILL came back as a giant grimm monster

and then weiss being forced to see the SDC mark on some random faunus (idk if weiss or ruby have ever met/talked about adam so im just assuming she doesn't know who adam is)

like i get it why they needed it to be a silver eyed person (to spin the whole 'that must be what happened to mom' convo), but it's a missed opportunity to turn the guy who looked human into the Beast he was based on

Now this, this is what RWBY deserved. The world of Remnant is a twist on fairytales, so make it fucking dark and depraved since RT wanted to be mature so damn badly. Also, from what I remember RW never talked about Adam, let alone knowing his scarring. Even his color pallet matches Grimm to a tee, even though we have Ruby, Summer, and Qrow (too an extent) with those colors as well. I’m just, maaan.

But may I also propose a Silver-Eyed Adam?

You get:

A) A foil to Ruby as a huntress for “good and justice” who hasn’t been discriminated against her entire life and is ignorant to the true tragedy of the world she lives in, versus Adam. A member of a minority race who is a fierce combatant because it’s the only way he’d survive, not because it’s “fun and heroic” like Ruby. He’d get away with being a SEW because he’s a Faunus, and a lot of idiots would think he couldn’t wield his eyes because “Faunus are lower beings”, so but of course he wouldn’t be able to, because Adam’s soooo dumb. /s Also, he has a mask to hide not only his scar he would get from SDC, but hide his eyes as he became higher ranked in the WF.

B) Foil to Yang. It’s really weird but I’m not sure I’ve seen a lot of people touch on this, at least recently. Yang genuinely has (or has had if it’s still an ongoing problem) anger issues. Her lack of thinking and forethought literally cost her her arm in her fight with Adam. It didn’t change much in Volume 4. What the writers could’ve done, instead of brushing it aside because for some reason overcoming trauma is “boring”, is focus more on Yang becoming less of a party girl and more of a planner like her mother.

C) Blake development, because good GOD after V5 she had nothing going for her besides Adam. Like, we never saw how she became so enamored with Adam in detail. Her development with Adam could reverse, between her being a more serious-yet-shy book lover and activist to actually playing a more intimate role within the change for the WF. Not just, “hey why did you guys burn my mansion down, this isn’t right”. Like, Blake is the most privileged Faunus in the show. Her struggles next to what we can glean from Adam is absolutely minimal. Can you imagine, after what Adam did to her new home and found family, what the confrontation could’ve been like? Adam tearing down everything Blake has and spitting in her face? Snarling that she’s always been a coward, never wanting to actually face danger because she’s a spoiled little rich girl, and that she could never be half of what he is. And you know what, she deserves to hear it.

D) WHY IN THE GOD DAMN HELLISH FUCK DID ADAM AND WEISS NOT HAVE A SINGULAR CONVERSATION. HE COORDINATED ATTACKS ON THE SCHNEE FAMILY. AND THEN YOUR EX GIRLFRIEND IS ON THE SAME TEAM AS THE FAMILY OF YOUR NUMBER ONE OPPRESSOR? HELLO?? IT’S LITERALLY RIGHT THERE.

RWBY Ruby Rose’s Age Timeline

I would like to start by stating that I have been following the series since very beginning (Red trailer) and this is my belief of what Ruby’s age is currently at. I do not rely on information given by the fandom and only rely by what the writers has officially given us within the past 10 years and within the show.

It is also my belief that Beacon Academy’s semesters are dictated in the following system:

- 4 year-long curriculum

- 2 semesters within each year

- 4 months with each semester

- 2 week break between each semester

- Remaining 4 months of the year (Winter season) returning home before next year begins.

- The Vytal festival is held at the end of that school’s year.

- Each academy operates their school years differently from one another, so don’t mistake semesters being the same as Beacon Academy.

(Extra Note: Ruby is 15 at the start of the series and her birthday is October 31)

Volume 1 beginning: Ruby’s arrival in Vale - Ozpin welcomes Ruby into Beacon as classes for that year begins. (March) (Ruby age 15)

Volume 1 end: Team RWBY + Sun and Penny vs Roman Torchwick and White Fang - After volume 1’s showcasing of Beacon Academy and it’s classes I would generously say 1 month passed. (April) (Ruby age 15)

Volume 2 beginning: Beacon academy food fight - Ruby’s quote at the cafeteria when referring using their last day before classes start to have the “BEST DAY EVER”…

“Look guy’s it’s been a good two weeks, and between more exchange students arriving and the tournament at the end of the year, our second semester is gonna be great, but… classes start back tomorrow.”

Going off of that I would say their first semester is complete and they just finished their 2 week vacation. (July) (Ruby age 15)

Volume 2 end: Small grim attack in Vale - After the food fight, the bridge fight, the dance party and the Grimm attack within volume 2 it would be fair to say a month passed. Team RWBY also mentions at the end that they could use what time they have left to prepare for the Vytal festival, but exaggerates they were already prepared and just wanted to rest. The scene is intended to be funny but I do think they prepared anyway. (August) (Ruby age 15)

Volume 3 beginning: Vytal festival tournament begins - Ruby’s monologue in front of her mother’s grave featured colored leaves, as to showcase the changing of the seasons. Penny’s teammate Ciel also states, when meeting Ruby for the first time, that Ruby is currently still 15. (October) (Ruby age 15)

Volume 3 end: Ruby leaves with team JN_R to go to Haven - Ruby’s final scenes showcases the background covered in snow, leaving to me to believe it is winter season and it’s their 4 month break before the new year begins. Also note that it must have taken time for Ruby to recuperate under her father’s watch and to also coordinate with team JN_R to plan their departure for Haven academy in secret since Beacon’ Fall, so it would be safe to say month since that time. (November) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 4 Beginning: Team RNJR hunting Grimm - Originally RWBY writers Miles and Kerry officially stated it had been 6 months since the “FALL OF BEACON” (October). During the years between volumes 4 - 9 the information of the 6 months has been exaggerated by mostly the FNDM community to be now 6 - 8 months. I will refer to what the writers originally stated and go with only 6 months since the “Fall of Beacon” (October) and not with team RNJR’s departure (November). (April) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 4 end: Team RNJR and Qrow arrive in Haven - It’s difficult to pinpoint the exact time with each characters stories happening in different time periods within the 6 months since Beacons fall, but following along with RNJR’s journey only, within the volume, I would say maybe a week. (April) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 5 beginning: Team RNJR and Qrow meet Oscar - Not much time has passed since volume 4 finale and for Qrow to recuperate from the poison. (April) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 5 end: Team RWBY and company successfully defends Haven academy and relic - Within Volume 5 Ozpin mentions training Team RNJR for 1 month in order to prepare for their retrieval mission, to capture the spring maiden, against Raven and the Branwen Tribe . Also note that Haven’s school year was about to begin after the attack on Haven, but there is no official statement as of yet if the academies all begin their school years the same way as Beacon’s. (May) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 6 beginning: Boarding the train to Argus - As stated by Qrow in episode 1, two weeks have passed since the attack on Haven in volume 5’s finale, so probably the the start of the new month. (June) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 6 end: Team RWBY and company arrive in Atlas - Ruby and company have only been on foot and in Argus for only a couple of days since the train crash. Also the snow areas within Volume 6 does not indicate a change in seasons, but a changing of locations since Argus has Snowy regions in its borders. (June) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 7 beginning: Arrival to Atlas - Volume 7 immediately starts off where volume 6 ended. (June) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 7 end: Salem’s arrival to Atlas - Due to episode 5’s montage I would like to believe it took them a month to get used to things in Atlas. Also extra reminder that since it also being the northern continent and it’s always snowing, it doesn’t automatically make it the Winter Season. (July) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 8 Beginning: Salem’s attack on Atlas - Only a few hours passed since Salem’s arrival and Ironwood issuing orders for team RWBY’s arrest. (July) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 8 End: Team RWBY’s Fall into the Ever After - Only 2 days time had passed since the beginning of Volume 8. (July) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 9 Beginning: Team RWBY arrives in the Ever After - The volume immediately starts where volume 8 ended so time passed for the characters physically. (July) (Ruby age 16)

Volume 9 End: Team RWBY and Jaune leave the Ever After and arrive in Vacuo: Time is different within each Acre of Ever After but I believe 1 or 2 days physically passed for team RWBY since their arrival. Also note we don’t know the approximate time that had passed in remnant when they returned from the Ever After. (???) (Ruby age 16)

I would also like to state that i believe not only team RWBY will be in Vacuo within Volume 10, but that they will also return to Vale and possibly Beacon academy as well…

Salem will no doubt launch an assault on Vacuo, but I believe she’ll also be a distraction for Cinder to go to Beacon and retrieve the relic of choice at the same time.

With it possibly being the fall season (assuming not much time has passed on remnant) it’s poetic and symbolic Cinder would try to get the relic of Choice during that time.

Ruby just learned more about Summer’s mission and Raven’s involvement, so she’ll likely want more answers.

Ruby returning to Vale and Beacon academy on the eve or day of her 17th birthday would be a really nice touch in-story, since you must be at the age of 17 to enter the academies and Ruby was admitted at the age 15.

I know a lot of people would not agree with this because they have been sitting on what Lindsay Jones said on RWBY REWIND a few years ago of Ruby being 17 and just rolled with it, but I have been trying my best since the very beginning of the series to keep up with what information the writers of RWBY has given us these past 10 years and this is what I believe it is.

RWBY Christmas Party

Five years have passed since the defeat of Salem.  It’s Christmas time at the Xiao Long/Rose house and everyone is bustling to get ready for the holiday party.

Yang: You almost ready for the party, sis?

Ruby: Yep, I can’t wait to see everyone again.  We haven’t all been together since we saved the world; it’s gonna be great! (her face saddens)  I just wish Oscar was here to celebrate.

Yang (hugging her sister): Hey, don’t be so sad.  You know he’s got that job to do in Atlas. Besides, with any luck, he may be back for Christmas.

Ruby:  I know, but it just won’t be the same without him.

Yang: Daaaaw, does little Ruby miss her Cookie?

Ruby (her face blushing): Yang, quit treating me like a baby!  I’m 23 years old, for Remnant’s sake!

Yang (smirking): True, but you’ll always be my wittle baby sister.

Ruby: I AM NOT A LITTLE KID, YANG!!

Yang lets her sister go and laughs.

Yang: Okay, okay.  Well, don’t stay up for too long.  Everyone will be arriving soon.

Yang makes her way downstairs to see her dad hanging up Christmas decorations along the wall and Zwei walking around wearing a mini-ugly sweater.  She smells something good cooking in the kitchen and walks in to see her boyfriend tending to the stove. She hugs him from behind and rests her head against his back.

Yang: So how’s the food coming, Lover Boy?

Jaune: Almost done with the roast.  And no, you can’t have any before I serve it.

Yang (feigning a hurt look on her face): Jaune Arc!  How could you think such a thing about me?

Jaune (rolling his eyes): Because I know you’re not one to shy away from my cooking whenever you get the chance.

Yang: True, your cooking is great. (smirks) But I’d say you’re the tastiest dish of all.

Tai walks in.

Tai: You know, you might be able to get the cooking done faster if you let me help you, Jaune.

Yang: And I keep telling you, Dad, that the only time that I will let you cook for me or any of my friends is when we are down to cockroaches and dry bread.

Tai: How dare you!  Who gave you those delicious noodles when you and Ruby were little?

Yang: The noodles that were over-cooked?

Tai (gasp): Just for that, one of you gifts is getting returned!

Yang: Real mature, Dad.

DING DONG

Jaune: That’s probably them!

Yang: I’ll get it. (opens the front door) Hey guys!  Glad you could make it!

Blake: Hi Yang, thanks again for inviting me, my parents, and Sun over.

Yang: As if I wouldn’t invite my partner, her parents, and her boyfriend.

Sun: It sure was cool of you to do this, Yang.

The Belladonnas and Sun enter the house.  As they put away their coats, Ghira stares back and forth at various doorways and hanging decorations.

Blake: Dad, what are you looking at?

Ghira: Don’t mind me, Blake.  I’m just trying to find any mistletoe that I can confiscate.

Tai: Don’t bother; I made sure that there wouldn’t be any this year.

Ghira nods toward Tai in appreciation.

Blake: Dad, we’re not kids anymore, we’re adults.

Ghira: True, but we are here to celebrate this holiday, not to have make-out sessions.

Tai: Exactly, and as long we’re celebrating it here, this house shall remain PG-13.

Ghira: Mr. Xiao Long, I seem to have some newfound respect for you.

Ghira and Tai shake hands and nod in respect for each other while Kali pinches the bridge of her nose and their kids give each other deadpanned looks.

Yang (to Jaune): I don’t know what’s weirder: The fact that they still see us as kids, or the fact that they think we wouldn’t have make-out sessions without mistletoe.

DING DONG

Sun: I’ll get it (opens the door) Neptune, buddy!  Glad you, Weiss, and Penny could ma- (sees the position the two are in) Dude, why are you carrying Weiss in your arms?

Neptune: Well, the snow covered up most of the trail and Weiss didn’t want to get her shoes damaged.

Weiss: Of course I didn’t, these are very expensive shoes.  I didn’t want them to get broken or wet.

Blake: Well, glad to see that some things don’t change.

Ruby comes downstairs, to which Penny takes notice.

Penny: Ruby! (tackles Ruby into a bear-crushing hug)

Ruby (weakly): Hey Penny.

Penny stands up.

Penny: It is so good to see you again!  And thank you for inviting me to this Christmas party!  I am certain this will be a splendid cele- (notices Ruby’s sad features) What is troubling you, Ruby?

Ruby: Oh, it’s nothing Penny.  I just….I just wish Oscar was here.

Penny: I am certain he is fine, Ruby.  He’ll probably be home for Christmas. Besides, one should never be sad during such a joyous and festive occasion.

Ruby: Yeah, I guess you’re right.

KNOCK KNOCK

Jaune: More guests! (opens the door to reveal the next set of guests) Guys; glad you could make it!

Nora: C’mere, you big lug!! (wraps Jaune in a bone-crushing hug)

Jaune (strained) Good to see…you too, Nora.  *crack* Oh Gods, my ribs!

Ren: It’s good to see you all again.

???: Hey guys!

The others turn to see Coco, Ilia, Yatsu, and Fox behind Ren and Nora.

Blake: Glad you all could make it.

Ilia: Thanks for the invite, Blake.

Coco: We would have gotten here sooner, but we had to let a certain someone set the pace.

Coco, Fox, and Yatsu glance back at a woman who is six months pregnant and her husband slowly walking up the steps.

Jaune: Glad you two could make it.

Cardin: No problem, Jaune.  Thanks for inviting us. (turns to his wife) Okay hun, just a few more steps.

The couple enter the house and Cardin helps his wife onto a plush chair.

Cardin: Need anything at the moment?

Velvet: Some water would be nice, Cardin.  Oh, and some cold cuts!

Jaune: I can help with that. (to Cardin) I’ll show you where they are.

Cardin: Great. (whispers to Jaune as they head to the kitchen) I’ve heard of food cravings, but hers are on another level.

Yang (to Velvet): So, how many more months?

Velvet: Only a few. (rubs her stomach affectionately) I just can’t wait to see her.

Blake: I still can’t believe you and Cardin ended up together.

Velvet: It…was a bit of a shock to see him and have him apologize to me.  Even more so when he asked me out on a date. But he’s gotten better over time.  There are moments when he feels hesitant on trusting Faunus, but he’s better than he was at Beacon.

Blake: It’s something.  (Directs herself to Coco and Ilia) So have you two been?

Ilia: Great; I’ve been helping with more Faunus rights groups without going to extremes.

Coco: And I’ve been going around Mistral helping with any Grimm problems.  (Takes Ilia’s hand and smiles at her partner) On the plus side, we’re thinking about moving to Menagerie.

Sun: Really? That’s awesome!  We’d be neighbors!

Ilia: Yeah, we figured it would be nice to be close to your parents and help them out in any way we could.

Coco: Plus, Menagerie’s got some great clothing shops.

Ilia (shaking her head): Not one to turn away from fashion, Coco?

Coco: You know it, babe. (kisses Ilia)

Meanwhile, in the kitchen…

Jaune: So Velvet’s a vegetarian, but the baby craves meat?

Cardin: Yep, and not just any meat.  Specifically cold cuts; roast beef, turkey, ham, salami, the works.

Jaune: Look on the bright side, at least the baby’s not hankering for seafood.

Cardin (shivering): I don’t want to think about that.  We’d be flat-ass broke if the kid did. (hears Jaune chuckling to himself) What?

Jaune: Nothing, it’s just…this situation between you and Velvet is kind of ironic.  One day, you’re picking on her and calling her names. The next, you two are married and about to have a kid.

Cardin: Yeah, it’s a miracle that she even gave me a second chance.  After everything I’d done not just to her, but to others…I sometimes feel like I don’t deserve any of this.

Jaune: We all deserve second chances, Cardin.  Even you.

Cardin: It hasn’t been easy; I still have moments where I’m hesitant about trusting other Faunus.  But…that’s when Vel’s there for me.

Jaune (handing Cardin a beer): At least there’s that.  And she’s not the only one willing to help you, Cardin.  We’re all here for you; you don’t have to be afraid to ask for help.

Cardin: Thanks, Jaune.

The two sipped their beer before Jaune holds up a paper plate with cold cuts on it.

Jaune: Duty calls.

Cardin (chuckling): No kidding.

As the party continues on, the guests preoccupy themselves before dinner.  Velvet and Cardin talk with Yang, Jaune, Ren, and Nora about potential baby names.  In the end, they come up with Jack for a boy’s name and Cottontail for a girl’s. Blake, Sun, and Neptune talk with Ilia and Coco about open houses in Menagerie.  Tai has a deep conversation with Ghira and Kali about Faunus rights. Ruby, meanwhile, shows old family photos to Penny and Weiss, the former of whom is elated to see what her best friend was like when she was little.  Around 6:20pm…

KNOCK KNOCK

Yang: Were we expecting anyone else?

Jaune: Not that I know of.

Jaune walks to the door and cautiously opens it to reveal…

Everyone: Oscar?!

Oscar: Hi; sorry I’m late.  I just got back from my mis-

Ruby: COOKIE!!!!!

Using her Semblance, Ruby tackles Oscar, causing both to sail out of the house and onto the snowy pathway.  Ruby lands on top of Oscar before peppering his face with kisses.

Ruby: What are you doing here?  I thought you were gonna be gone for a few more days.

Oscar: I thought so too, but we were able to get the job done a few days early.  So I figured I’d surprise you by coming home for the party.

Ruby: *sniff* This is all I wanted for Christmas: you being home.

Oscar: Glad your wish came true then. (holds up a plate)  I also got you cookies from that bakery you liked in Atlas.

Ruby: Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!!! (peppers his face with kisses)

Yang (from inside the house): Hey lovebirds!  How about getting out of the snow and into the house?

Ruby and Oscar laughs before she rides him piggy-back style into the house.

After the party…

Ruby: Well, tonight sure was a good turnout.

Oscar: Yep.  Oh by the way, I know it’s not Christmas yet, but I wanted to give you this.

Oscar hands Ruby a rectangular box.  Ruby opens it and gasps when she sees a necklace with a customized rose in the center.  She flips it over to read “The most beautiful rose in the world” on the back. Oscar helps her by fastening the necklace around her neck.

Ruby: It’s beautiful.

Oscar (wrapping his arms around her back): Merry Christmas, Rubes.

Ruby (wrapping her arms around his neck): Merry Christmas, Cookie.

Ruby

You twiddled with the music box in your hand, it was fairly small yet still quite beautiful. The rose design it had along with wines tracing along its silver surface, much alike the quality of those in stores.

Yet you made it, you created the music sheets after sleepless days, trying to translate Ruby’s favorite song into a music sheet. You studied the parts of music boxes through your scroll, you nicked your fingers many times as you shaped the metal for the box.

You worked hours on end to purchase the materials, sure it cost more to build a music box than buy one but you wouldn’t let yourself. Ruby had helped and supported you through so much, you wanted her to feel even a drop of the appreciation you felt towards her.

You did have many busts when it came to making them but you felt so proud the moment when you could make a successful one. Your head remembered the sound of her favorite song by memory given how much you played it on the music box to get it right.

As you walked towards Ruby’s dorm you felt nervous, not by the chance you’d be caught by the night guard, he already gave you permission to go.

You really hoped Ruby liked the gift, you put your all into it, it was in a cute red box with a f/c(favorite color) ribbon tying it.

The moment you knocked on her dorm door you felt all your worries wash away, you weren’t the type to have doubts. You knew Ruby, she was a precious and sweet girl who deserved the world.

You smiled at Yang as she opened the door, you looked slightly nervous and a bit tired with light bags under your eyes. It didn’t stop the genuine love she could feel coming from you, she opened the door wider to let you in as she smiled at the gift.

Ruby had her nose in a textbook, looking cutely focused as you chuckled, that caught her attention. She noticed her other three teammates walked out the dorm, leaving you and her.

“Y/N? What’s up!” She greeted cheerfully, you took off your shoes and stepped on Weiss’ bed. Ruby focused on how the candle light enhanced your features.

She looked curious as you handed her a box, you smiled and nodded at her to open it.

And she did, her eyes glossed up at the beautiful music box in front of her. She observed every detail, her being more flattered as she saw every thought you put into it.

“Play it.” You encouraged, your voice mellow from your tiredness, it was due to the hour and how much work you put into her gift.

She twisted the knob and listened to the song with you, while it wasn’t as professionally done as the ones she’d see in shops it was still welcoming.

She came to the realization you made this as her keen eyes observed the craftsmanship and details, it wasn’t impossible given you two first met in a workshop.

As the song ended her eyes were watery, this song was her favorite, it was her and her mother's song.

You sat up and hugged her back, she tucked her head into your neck as she kept repeating how much she loved you.

You loved her too, and you felt fulfilled knowing that she knew.

-Before Weiss heads to Beacon cause I wanna be unique

Weiss… was perfect in aristocratic standards, she behaved impeccably, was talented and had the charisma.

Her silvery hair never failed to perk your interest, the way all her moves were calculated and graceful. Her eyes were a beautiful sky blue, they were probably what drew you in the most.

They were free, they were bright and daring, you weren’t sure when exactly you realized your fondness of her, it just happened.

While you weren’t the most poor aristocrat you certainly weren’t the most rich. It kept you grounded, you had always been level headed yet when it came to her.. you felt all sensible thinking fade.

Perhaps that was what made you follow her to the balcony that night, you remember how you froze when you watched her beautiful features be illuminated by the shattered moon.

Her expression made you pause for a second, with a defeated smile you could help but think she didn’t belong here. An angel can’t be kept in a cage after all.

“Why the long look?” You asked, your behavior genteel as always. Sky blue met e/c, your heart beat fast at the eye contact.

To think you were only 12 at the time.

You and Weiss became acquainted, slowly it turned into friendship, you couldn’t help but admire her.

She really was a beauty among thieves, you loved it when she laughed and joked. Your heart broke when she looked defeated or down, you always strived to be there for her as she did you.

Yet.. secrets can’t always be kept forever, white lies are soon seen through, you weren’t an opaque wall rather than a tinted glass.

“I’m leaving.”

Such a simple sentence from her managed to change your mood tremendously, yet even then as you turned to meet her precious blue eyes..

You couldn’t bring yourself to stop her, she deserved to be free.

“I see.” You couldn’t bring yourself to say more without your voice breaking. She raised her eyebrow at your seemingly relaxed response, yet Weiss was perceptive.

“I’m sorry Y/N.. I just can’t keep being grouped with my family anymore.” Her voice cracked with guilt and pent up aggression, you could feel her emotions about to overflow.

Two warm hands were placed on her cheeks, Weiss couldn’t help but lean into their comfort, you gently brushed away her tears.

“Weiss, look at me.” She hesitantly looked at your face, she didn’t say a word of how it made her heart skip a beat.

“I’ve known..for a long time you don’t belong here.” You started, Weiss could only listen to the cadence of your voice as she put her hands on both your wrists.

“You were made for adventure, a thrilling life with people who care about you.” The more you spoke the less coordinated your words became, she knew you cared about her. You wished for her to get the affection she truly deserved, with the amount of people she should.

It shouldn’t just be you.

“Weiss, when I look into your eyes I see the sky.. I see freedom.. I see many beautiful things.” Her cheeks tinted at the words, you noticed, she always got like that when praised.

“And freedom isn’t caged, it's the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.” She smiled wryly as she knew you quoted the dictionary, you always did when it came to words that struck you.

“Therefore.. I support you, I’ll even aid you if need be.” Her heart warmed at your words, you were always there for her, speaking and looking at her as if she were the most precious thing.

She couldn’t help her next action.

Her arms wrapped around your shoulders as her lips made contact with yours, they were soft. Her lips were pushed against yours as she tried to convey how she felt to you, smiling slightly when you wrapped your arms around her waist.

When you two separated you met her eyes, they looked back at you lovingly, the way you would always look at her.

“I love you Y/N/N.” She admitted with a smile, you were surprised and delighted. You couldn’t help the way your face melted into a sweet grin.

“And I you, Weiss.”

Blake

Blake was scared of your affection sometimes, not that she was scared of you as a person.

It’s just that she was hurt and emotionally scarred so many times and it was hard to heal. Her emotional state was equivalent to a paper that had been crumpled then straightened out.

The marks were still there.

She wasn’t sure she could recover if you turned out the same way Adam did, yet every time you looked at her with love in your eyes she just couldn’t help but stick with you.

She felt ashamed she would always lose her voice when she would try and say she loved you, it made her think of Adam.

You noticed this of course, and every time without fail you would give her a smile and tell her it’s fine. Sure it hurt a bit but you loved Blake, you knew of her past, her emotions and traumas.

You loved every bit of her.

She had come into your dorm late one night, she was busy at the library due to the Torchwick situations. Yet she felt her heart rate increase at your sleeping face, you always were the most beautiful person to her.

Then she heard it.

“...love you..Blake.”

You had murmured it in your sleep, she knew that you loved her, she knew that you refrained from telling her that because you loved her.

Her reaction wasn’t what she expected though, instead of the dreaded fear she thought she would have she instead had a feeling of comfort, ecstasy even.

Her emotions had already come to accept that you loved her, that you weren’t Adam.

She teared up a bit of the realization, they weren’t sad tears but ones of pure and genuine delight.

While she was on her high she sat next to your body and shook you awake, you drowsily looked at her. With a sleepy smile you lift up your hoodie a bit and let her sneak underneath it.

You called it ‘Hoodie Time’, Blake found it as a good way to calm down and relax if she listened to your heartbeat.

And the added bonus she liked being in small spaces.

She felt you stroke her hair as she listened to the cadence of your heart, it was slightly fast and it only flattered her.

“Want to talk Kitten?” You asked, Blake usually did this when she was stressed. You didn’t mind though, you thought it was quite cute.

She shook her head no as she kept her right human and cat ear on your chest.

“I just wanted to say” she started as you rubbed circles on her back to keep her calm. She felt slightly nervous but your action did help.

“I love you.” She got it all out in one breath, she grew slightly worried as she noticed you stopped rubbing her back. She shook her head, you weren’t Adam and you’d never be, you were Y/N.

Her worries ended when she saw how happy your face was, you looked as though you struck gold.

You looked at her as if she just gave you the world, you didn’t want her to worry, you quickly pecked her forehead since it was fairly close to your lips.

“I love you too Blake.” You began, then you started tearing up. “I’m glad you trust me enough to say this.”

She was flabbergasted at how genuinely loving your reaction was, it made her all the more warm inside, she loved your way of love.

She loved you.

She always would.

Yang

You smiled as you felt the wind brush against your hair, the city lights always looked perfect in the night. Unfortunately the police sirens weren’t that pleasant, then again, your favorite blonde is the one who is driving right now.

She took a sharp right as you grasped onto her stomach tighter, her muscles tensed at the feeling. The feeling of your fingers brushing against her stomach caused her to lose focus for a minor second.

At least until you snapped her out of it.

“Yang!! Bascule bridge is splitting right now!!” You alerted her, her lilac eyes noticed the ship trying to pass, she immediately increased the motorcycle speed.

Unlike with Ruby, Blake and dear oum.. Weiss, you wouldn’t get scared or mad when she invited you on a thrill ride. You enjoyed it and participated, it surprised her at first given you were a pretty mellow and sweet individual.

She smiled as she heard you gasp in excitement as you two were on the motorcycle mid air, the gradient of the bridge was more than enough to lose the cops and make it to the other side.

You treasured how her hair seemed to fly in slow motion, the moon illuminating the whole scene.

The landing was a bit rough, but thanks to your semblance, aerokinesis, you guys didn’t crash into oblivion. It did slightly exhaust you to slow the velocity you guys were falling at however the adrenaline sure helped.

Luckily there were only minor scratches to bumblebee, unfortunately you both just realized that the way back to Beacon was on the other side of the bridge.

“So Yang.. how would you feel sleeping on a random roof?”

Yang merely laughed at the question and slapped your back, she was on board with it.

That question eventually led to the two of you being on a flat roof, Bumblebee was hidden in a bush right below you guys. You could use your semblance to bring you and Yang up but the bike was a bit too much for you right now.

“Best Joy ride ever!” Yang laughed out with a huge grin on her face, you chuckled at her antics and gave her a fist bump. You guys relaxed for a bit, nearing sleep before Yang turned to you, her eyes looked determined.

“Serious though, I’m glad I have you Y/N/N, I’m not able to do these things with anyone else without being called brash and dumb.” You frowned at the last words, without speaking you merely grabbed her hand as you looked at the star signs.

Ursa Major, quite ironic given you have an overprotective bear hugging friend next to you at the moment.

“Yang.. before I met you I wasn’t able to be myself, while I’m not necessarily as… extroverted as you.. my parents didn’t like my need for thrill.” You told her as you grasped her hand tighter, she too frowned at your words.

“But then I met you… this amazing, lively person, the day you first invited me to a ride like this.. I felt happy.” She blushed at your description of her yet you kept going.

“You’re not dumb, maybe a little brash but you’re still a ray of sunlight that came into my life..and I love you for it.” Your face turned crimson as you admitted those last words, she paused as she came to terms with what you said.

The two of you were still lying down as she raised her arm, you closed your eyes as she patted your soft hair.

“Gee.. you could’ve just told me you loved me..then again you wouldn’t be my Y/N if you didn’t speak a lot to get a point across.” She laughed as you started snickering at her words too, her eyes caught sight of yours as they held contact.

“I love you too Y/N.” She smiled brightly as she brought you in for a kiss, you couldn’t help but beam with happiness as well.

You loved Yang a lot, you loved her thrilling, welcoming self. And she loved you as well.

What’s your reasoning behind the desire for Qrow to be Ruby’s father? Purely curious.

Sure, thanks for asking!

There’s a couple different factors, at varying degrees of relevance. I’d like to start by saying that I have no desire for this to actually become canon, nor am I disappointed that it’s been stamped out, because again: my thoughts have no bearing on the story. Liking things is easier if you acknowledge that it’s out of your hands.

However, here’s some of the things that have motivated my interest:

Parallels. Parallels between Ruby and Qrow, and their story with others’.

Visually, Ruby and Qrow look very similar because Ruby canonically grew up imitating his look, down to the red cape, crosses from her first outfit, dark hair, and black-red color palette. This can also be said of any other father-daughter pair in the show; Blake and Ghira share a color palette, as do Yang and Taiyang. Even Weiss and Jacques share a color palette in Volume Three. Considering the importance of color thematically, I’d say it’s more than significant that Ruby and Taiyang look nothing alike. It’s more than an anime genetics mishap -- it’s an effort by the character designers to coordinate design elements from different characters, and Ruby and Taiyang do not coordinate whatsoever.

Ruby and Qrow share the same familial story beats as other characters. All members of Team RWBY spend Volume Four with their fathers. You heard me. The character arcs of each member of Team RWBY in Volume Four is driven by their fathers. Except for Ruby, who, of course, is out in the wilderness with Qrow.

Story potential. There are things we don’t know about Team STRQ that would be illuminated by this reveal.

Qrow thinks he’s a bad luck charm. Qrow began intentionally distancing himself from his family after Summer died, but instead of going back to his tribe, he stayed with Ozpin. Why? He alienated himself from his daughter in a perceived effort to keep her safe from himself, so she has no risk meeting the same end as Summer. However, he still has that emotional bond to her and the man he entrusted to raise her in his stead: Taiyang.

The idea of Taiyang getting over Raven fast enough to fall in love with and then have a child with Summer to preserve the two-year age gap concerns me. She apparently took point in being a mother to Yang, but that speaks more to STRQ family dynamics than to  previous substance in Summer and Taiyang’s relationship. It smooths out those edges to imagine that part of the hurt between Taiyang and Qrow comes from the bitterness that he abandoned his child and family like Raven, especially after Summer’s death.

Just some crazy coincidences -- scenes that make me go “hey, is that a hint?”

Very first episode. Ozpin offhandedly mentions “a dusty old Qrow,” to which Ruby responds by providing that that’s her uncle. We have a shot while she’s explaining this where Ozpin smiles at her, and knowingly sips his coffee. I’ve always seen that as him checking to make sure that that’s who she thinks Qrow is.

Ruby is technically the main character, but Qrow was always Monty’s original “RWBY OC” -- the character that molded the principles of RWBY’s character design. To invent him and then invent his niece seems like a step further than it needed to go.

Qrow, 3x12: “Tai, please.” WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT RT. GIVE US THE FORBIDDEN LORE.

And in general, Ruby just acts more naturally when talking about Qrow than when talking about Taiyang. Yang has a closer relationship to her father than Ruby. It feels appropriate to see a father-daughter relationship between Qrow and Ruby if it’s not present between her and Taiyang.

That’s a lot of it, although I’m sure there’s other things I don’t remember right now. Nobody take this post as an opportunity to refute any of this! I’m not interested in having this disproved, because I already accept the show’s canon.

- sanders sides: i know who thomas sanders is. i see fan art of a guy who kind of looks like him in some color-coordinated outfit and im reasonably sure it’s sanders sides. there were less sanders sides than i thought there were initially, it seems now there’s like five but i thought there were like eight-ten.

- the witcher: is it a show or a video game? which came first? i know Henry cavill has white hair in this. that’s it

- dragon age inquisition: to be honest any fantasy buff dude art on my dash could be either dragon age inquisition or Witcher. i never really know. im also only 70% sure it’s called dragon age inquisition. no idea what it is though

- unnus annus: i only really picked up on the details of this one a few days ago when it ended. i was curious about watching it because YouTube series are fun and then i realized what it ending means so :(

- infinity train: uh it’s a cartoon? i thought that character who has light hair in a ponytail and an off-the-shoulder shirt was from this but now i think that’s another cartoon. i could tell you literally nothing about the story of either of these shows. im sure they’re good i just know nothing about them

- she-ra: i know slightly more about this one. I thought the main character’s name was “catradora” but now i know that’s the ship name for the two main characters. that fic by someone who knew next to nothing about supernatural and thought the main character was “destiel” is very relatable to me.

- rwby: is... is it pronounced “ruby?” i read it in my head as “ruwuby.” so that’s not great. uhh it’s another magical girl anime i THINK? really unique animation style and the costume design is cool.

I hope so! Weiss's and Blake's outfits have both incorporated more of their colors into them now that they're free of their pasts. CRWBY is aware of what they're doing so Ren could easily follow suit. Color is consistently a very important source of symbolism in RWBY and this would be a great way to show Ren's growth after hiding his feelings for so long. There'll inevitably be coordination with Nora now that they're on the path to advancing their relationship for real.

RWBY VOLUME 8 EPISODE 7 SPECULATION AFTERMATH!!!

Hello Hello Hello!!! XD Another Week........and the last episode of RWBY before the hiatus is out!!!! Sorry I am late AGAIN (busy with work) but let’s dive right in and see what I got RIGHT and what I Definetly got WRONG from my Speculation post!!

-Sigh.........I got everything wrong in my speculation post 😑.......ya know....stuff like this can make someone wonder what is even the point of writing. Like.....you can write whateeeeever you think is going to happen, from theories you have thought about for months or speculations you made after an episode airs....only to find out NONE of them becomes true. Revelations like this can make just about anyone bitter.......angry even, towards the creators who make the things you love just because they didn’t do the things you wanted to happen.....to what “I” wanted to happen. You know what I have to say about that.......I Don’t Give A S*** I Was Wrong, I STILL LOVE RWBY!!! 😤 I can make a million theories and speculations that could be right or wrong but at the end of the day RWBY is still one of the rare few series that can make my imagination go WILD!!! 😆.....(not like that you perverted F***s 🤨) So what I am trying to say is that I was HORRIBLY WRONG AGAIN, but I STILL LOVED THE EPISODE!!!! Here my thoughts about it.......

-(Salem) Ok......i’ll be honest....I was really disappointed with Salem’s small involvement in the episode 😔. I was really hoping we could finally see how she fights on her own but I have to understand that there is more within the plot that needs to be shown then my selfish desire of seeing Salem kicking some ass 😓. The only positive thing I can take away from this small scene is that it confirmed what I always thought.....that Salem is the kind of woman dramatic enough to cause about a catastrophe and play about as if it were her own Orchestra lol XD. Oh! And tremendous work from CRWBY with the set up of the battlefield between the Grimm and Ironwood’s forces. I was amazed by the incredible number of character models that was placed within the episode to showcase the large scale of the battle between two great forces and I can’t wait to see how much more CRWBY could do in the future battles!

-(Oscar/Ozpin & Hazel) I more or less thought that this would be the direction that Ozpin would take to try and reason with Hazel (revealing Salem’s curse origins) but I didn’t expect for Oscar to reveal jinn’s name to him to get him to listen 🤔. Now while I do understand that this may prove beneficial for Oscar and Hazel’s future trust with one another, I still feel like it may not be the right time for Hazel to switch sides just yet story wise. I think Hazel will still be under Salem’s command by the end of the season but there’s no doubt that Oscar will make Hazel begin to question Salem’s plans and agenda for gathering the relics.

-(Emerald, Mercury & Tyrian) Hmmm I have been thinking about it and I also think it would be a good idea if Emerald would be the one to ask the last question to Jinn, considering that the two share a connection with the tale of Aladdin. The question now is......what will be her question 🤔? I am honestly quite surprised that Mercury and Tyrian are going to Vacuo this early in the volume. From Salem’s standpoint it would make sense to send her followers to the next relic, given that she is nearly about to obtain her second relic within the next few hours. I am a bit disappointed that they are leaving though, especially Tyrian, because i was hoping that there would be a conclusion with his and qrow’s fight in Atlas, given what happened with Clover last volume. I kind of want to hope that they will turn around and return to Atlas near the end of the volume due to Vacuo forces heading it’s way towards Atlas and that they would need to warn Salem, but so far we don’t know if Ruby’s message could convince headmaster Theodore to deploy his huntsmen to fight Salem so we’ll just have to wait and see.

-(May Marigold) Clap...Clap...Clap...👏👏👏 that Scene was......GOOD!!! I am glad for the Trans community to be givin more representation for themselves and I hope the trend will continue on in the future in other prominent series and tv shows.

-(Weiss & Whitely) Ok......as much as this scene between the two siblings warmed my heart, I’m gonna have to play devils advocate and say that I still don’t fully trust Whitley just yet. While this may look like a good direction for Whitley’s character, we still have a long way to go between the whole Schnee family to fully see where Whitley wants to do going forward in his life. So for now I’ll trust that he is doing this “kindness” for Weiss and her friends because he wants to help, but I’ll keep an open mind on what he does in the future. Also BEST DAD KLEIN IS BACK!!!! WOOHOO!!! 😆😆😆

-(Ren & The Ace-Ops) Oh Ren.......while I’m glad to see you evolve your semblance and realize your current “faults” for your character arc this volume.....I can’t help but feel terrible for you for this revelation 😥. With Ren’s new Ability he can now see a person’s current feelings and emotions as if they were different colored petals. With this new found power he was quick to realize the inner turmoil of each member of the Ace-Ops and the storm of emotions within Winter Schnee. But I, as an audience member, was also quick to realize that Ren’s new ability could serve another purpose, specifically for the Shipping fandom.....if Ren is now able to see the feelings of anyone he has his vision set upon, he could easily tell who has feelings of “love” for one another!? For example: if he were see Yang talking with or about Blake for any reason, he would be able to see petals of “love” swirling around her and determine Yang has feelings for Blake. And not just them.....but he could foresee what could potentially be future canon ships down the road for other characters as well!!! Now as well you and I know the shipping fandom can be kind of........crazy🤪, and with this sudden realization Lie Ren has just became the Shipping Community’s messiah of canon ships 😭. Good luck Ren!!! You’ll need it!!! Lol

-(Penny) Alright as heart wrenching that this cliffhanger was....I can’t help but feel that it was too “plot convenient” for Penny to just land exactly where Ruby and her group were hiding out after her downfall from Amity in episode 5 🤨. Maybe before she shut downed she could have tried to alter the course of her landing to land near Ruby’s last coordinates but I have some doubts for that theory 🤔. I don’t know it just felt weird to me lol but despite that this does present an interesting situation because we know Cinder, The Hound and Neo were sent to retrieve Watts to find Penny’s location. So could this mean the long awaited confrontation between Ruby and Cinder is about play out? 😮 I guess we’ll see.....

Overall, despite my personal grievances, the episode was excellent XD and now I am left with the realization that I will have to wait several weeks for the next episode to air......ain’t that a B**** 😑

RWBY Volume 7: Chapter 13 - The Enemy of Trust

Thoughts & Theories

1. So, um, hi, is next Volume just gonna be...a war? Just an entire season of violence? I mean, lowkey yeah I’m down for that. I remember before the season started they said something about how one of the upcoming volumes was gonna be shorter than normal. Was that 8 or 9? If it’s 8 I think we now know why.

2. Why are her eye flares...green? I find it weird that the maiden’s are color coded: Orange for Fall, Pink for Spring, Blue for Winter and Green for Summer; but then Penny breaks that. Maybe the eventual Summer maiden will have a different shade? I guess it’s cause she’s a robot (and cause color coordination) but boy it triggers my OCD.

Also, that whale Grimm is gonna eat her. I can’t believe we didn’t see this coming after the toy whale in the first episode.

3. Ruby is done with Cinder’s s**t I see. Time to see how many whale chunks she blast off.

4. Guess the bird friends will have to make a jailbreak next Volume. Probably gonna fight Ironwood (I’m sorry, GENERAL Ironwood) and Winter.

And Qrow’s lust for vengeance will continue, #Justice4Clover.

6. Pietro! You’re not dead! Wow! Watts? You are also alive. Weird, but it makes sense, we still don’t have their backstory together. Gotta wonder if he’ll team up with Qrow and Robyn to bust out. They need to both build giant robots to fight each other.

7. Neo gets no respect. I can’t wait for that back stab. Gotta wonder if Emerald and Mercury are on the whale. I’d love to see the three of them interact, and Neo can mime about how s**t Cinder is.

8. Ren and Nora STILL need to have a talk. Watching Ren break down and cry was rough, but him shouting at Nora was NOT OK IMO.

We need a couples retreat at the end of next Volume, I swear. I mean send Salem and that f*****g whale back to Dishonored first but then yeah, I need both my angst and tenderness respectively.

9. Semblance: UNLOCKED!!!!! And it’s the same as the old one, guess it always is. Some sort of Aura projection, but kinda like a simplistic version of the Green Lantern’s ring? Very curious to see
