कोविड आणि त्याचे ग्रामीण शिक्षणावरील परिणाम. व्यथा, हरवलेल्या सरकारी जाणीवा आणि त्याचे गंभीर परिणाम. मी पुणे जिल्ह्यातील राजगुरुनगर तालुक्यात शिक्षण क्षेत्रात थोडेफार काम करतो आहे गेल्या 10 वर्षांपासून. माझी संस्था मुंबई माता आणि बाल संगोपन संस्था यांचे माध्य

मातून ग्रामीण शिक्षणात बदल घडविण्यासाठी कायम प्रयत्नशील असतो. ग्रामीण शिक्षणाचे त्यांच्या बरोबर राहत केलेले विश्लेषण आणि त्यातून मार्ग काढण्यासाठी वास्तवाचे भान ठेवून केलेले काही प्रयोग हे पथदर्शी आहेत. संपूर्ण आणि सर्वंकष नाहीत पण आजच्या विदारक ग्रामीण शैक्षणिक परिस्थितीवर मात करण्यासाठी उचललेले ठोस आणि नावीन्यपूर्ण पाऊल आहे. ' हेतू हा पूर्णत्वापेक्षा महत्वाचा आहे (perpose is more important than perfection) यावर आधारित कार्यक्रम आहे हा!!! पिरॅमिडच्या शिखरावरील दृष्टिकोन आणि तळातील अनुभव आणि वास्तव याचा ताळमेळ नसतो कधी. दृष्टिकोन(vision) हा चुकीच्या गृहितकावर आधारित आहे असे जाणवले. त्यांच्या मते खराब सुविधा आणि शिक्षक हे कारणीभूत आहे. हे बदलण्याचा प्रयत्न करण्यासाठी मोठे बजेट हवे आणि ते नसल्याने काही करू शकत नाही असा निष्कर्ष काढून हात झटकले जातात असे जाणवले. खरी परिस्थिती भिन्न होती. शिक्षक याच शिक्षण पद्धतीतून बी एड झालेले होते आणि प्राथमिक आणि माध्यमिक शिक्षण देण्यास सक्षम होते. पण त्यांचेवरील अयोग्य हा ठपका, जाण्या येण्याचा खडतर मार्ग ,पालकांची अनास्था यामुळे पूर्णपणे खचलेल्या मानसिकतेत होते. शाळा मधील भौतिक आणि शैक्षणिक सुविधा खराब होत्या हे वास्तव नाकारता येत नव्हते. पण शिक्षक शिक्षण देण्यास असमर्थ आहेत हे फक्त शहरी निकषावर आधारित होते.(खरेतर हा मुद्दाच सध्याची शिक्षण पद्धतीचा आरसा आहे) ते झोकून देवून काम करण्यास तयार होते, गरज होती ती पाठीवर एक थाप देण्याची त्यांच्या व्याथेशी सहमत होण्याची आणि त्यावर उपाय सुचविण्याची. शाळा भले पावसाळ्यात वापरता येत नसतील पण उरलेल्या सहा महिन्यात का शिक्षण होत नाही. ५वी मधील मुलाला दुसरीचे पुस्तक वाचता येत नाही ही परिस्थिती नक्कीच बदलायला हवी आणि ती बदलता येते हे आम्ही ३४० सरकारी शाळात केलेल्या प्रयोगातून दाखवून दिले. आज साऱ्या ग्रामीण शाळेत विद्यार्थ्यांची उपस्थिती नाही. त्यावर प्रयत्न हे जणू काही शिक्षक यासाठी जबाबदार आहेत हे दाखविण्यासाठी असतात. अभ्यासक्रम अतिशय शुष्क आहे आणि म्हणून मुले येत नाहीत हे वास्तव का नाकारत आहेत तज्ञ? पालकांना मुल शिकल्याने त्यांचे आयुष्य कसे बदलेल हेच माहित नाही मग ते मुलांना शाळेत जाण्यासाठी का भाग पाडतील. ज्यांचे घारी मुले सांभाळण्यास आजी आजोबा नाहीत ते शाळेचा उपयोग पाळणाघर म्हणून करतात. त्याचे हात कामास सक्षम होईपर्यंत ते तेथे सुरक्षित राहते म्हणून ते वापरतात. नाहीतर ती मुले त्यांचे बरोबर त्यांच्या कामाच्या जागी तात्पुरते स्स्थलांतर करतात. पालकाची मानसिकता बदलणे अशक्य आहे कारण त्यांना वेळ नाही आणि इच्छा नाही. घडलेल्या माणसाला परत घडविणे हे केवळ अशक्य आणि शक्य करावयाचे असल्यास दूरचा मार्ग. वेळ आणि पैसे खु लागणार आणि परिणामांची शाश्वती नसणार शिक्षकांचा स्तर उंचावण्यासाठी प्रयत्न अत्यावश्यक आहेत पण ते करताना सध्याची एक पिढी शिक्षणास मुकणार नाही याचे भान आणि जाणीव ठेवणे आवश्यक आहे तज्ज्ञांची व्हिजन आणि तळातील अनुभव यातील मूलभूत फरक लक्षात घेतले पाहिजेत. तळातील अनुभव आणि अनुभूती वर आधारित कार्यक्रम तयार केले हवेत. छोट्या छोट्या पावला मधून उंची हळू हळू गाठता येईल हे वास्तव स्वीकारले पाहिजे. जोपर्यंत कार्यक्रमाची आखणी तळातून सुरू होत नाही तो पर्यंत वाट नाही फक्त पळवाटा दिसणार.परिस्थिती तशीच ठेवण्याला सहाय्य करणाऱ्या या विश्लेषणाचे माजविलेले अवडंबर हेच सत्य आहे का याचा विचार करण्याची वेळ आली आहे. असो माझ्या संस्थेमार्फत अनुभव आणि अनुभूती मधून केलेल्या सुधारणा सांगतो. दृक श्राव्य मध्यम हे परिणाम कारक असते हे सिद्ध झाले आहे. त्याचा वापर कसा करता येईल हा विचार करत होतो ई लर्निंग हा उपाय होता पण इंटरनेट नाही म्हणून तज्ज्ञांनी नाकारला होता. पण हर न मानता शोध घेतला असता त्यावर उपाय सापडला. कॉम्प्युटर मध्ये संपूर्ण अभ्यासक्रम ,(१-१० इयत्ता, सर्व विषय) भरून तो प्रोजेक्टर वरून दाखवायला सुरवात केली. १०० टक्के उपस्थिती साध्या झाली.शिक्षकांचा उत्साह दुणावला आणि थांबलेले शिक्षण सुरू झाले. नोकरी जाईल ही शिक्षकांची सार्थ भीती घालवण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करावे लागले पण परिणाम बघितल्यावर ती सहज निघाली. शिक्षणासाठी सहाय्यभूत ठरणारी ही प्रणाली मुलांना आवडू लागली,कवितांची गाणी झाली, गणिताचे खेळात रूपांतर झाले आणि संपूर्ण वर्ग वाचू लागला पडद्यावरचा धडा!!! कामाचा आनंद मिळू लागल्यावर शिक्षकांच्या मानसिकतेत अमुलाग्र बदल घडला. मुले घरी कविता गुणगुणू लागली आणि पालकांना काहीतरी वेगळे घडते आहे शाळेत याची जाण आली. ते शाळेत शिक्षक

One of the remotest village - Beldarwa along Indo-Nepal border has taken its first baby step into 21st Century with promoting #AdultLiteracy. Two village ladies (sitting) employed at our little mushroom farm want to become supervisors in future. The only literacy they have is counting notes/coins and writing their names in broken handwriting. We asked them to learn "How to find the volume of the container in which the substrate will be Pasteurized?" They said, "will mug it up and let me know." Being stern, "There will be a test." With an aghast feeling they queried, "That means we need to learn from basics?" I gladly welcomed them to the world of education, "Absolutely. Age no bar. Start anything good and worthwhile the day you question yourself, Is it worth the effort?" Absolutely! Thanks to our local teacher Lokesh ji. AICTE launched PRAGATI scheme to encourage more girls to pursue technical degrees. Students will receive 50,000 rupees every year they enroll, with a total 3-year scholarship for students in the first year and a maximum of 2 years for students who enter laterally.

Funds will be distributed directly to the student to cover books, tuition, equipment and software expenses. This is an excellent initiative to encourage more girls to enroll in technical programs and a way to close the gender gap in STEM fields.
