Tia laughed in response. “Of course you are. About that, actually… you aren’t moving back too, right? I know you and Nicky came here together, but—“ Tia cut herself off, pressing her lips together.

“I’m not going anywhere,” Dame assured her, voice saccharine as she tucked a wayward curl behind Tia’s ear. “No need to be worried, mon ange.”

Tia’s eyes fluttered shut momentarily at Dame’s touch. “Good. I don’t want you to leave.”

Dame didn’t respond, locking eyes with a gorgeous woman who she hadn’t seen before who was standing near the door. “Tia, lovely chat but I have to run,” she said, eyes never leaving the strangers. Without waiting for a response, she set down her untouched food and slipped away.

Inktober day five and six ; double theme this time, Hidden treasure as Black Peppa, and Dragon, as Charity Kase ❤️❤️ Really happy with this one, took me way more time than I tought because I inked all of the drawing traditionally, but this was really cool to do ❤️ And actually in love with season 4 of drag race UK, the queen are all so phenomenal, Rupaul UK is such a strong franchise 😭  Enjoy, and stay safe ❤️

as the biggest rpdr fan i follow, are there any seasons you would recommend to someone who's never watched any before? I really want to start watching but i'm not sure which season to start with since the first season of reality shows usually aren't great :))

OOOHHH okay, seasons 4, 5, and 6 are regarded as the golden age of the show, and for good reason. It's peak reality tv trash with amazing drag and really heartfelt moments. But those seasons came out in the early 2010s, so it hasn't aged all that well regarding tr4nsphobia and f4tphobia. (Roopul didn't allow openly trans contestants on the show until like season 13, tho past contestants who transitioned were allowed on all stars before that)

So if you're looking for a tamer season to start with, season 8 and 9 is a pretty good introduction. I started watching right before All Stars 3 aired, tho All Stars 2 was the first season I watched in full. I was able to enjoy it a lot without having seen the previous seasons yet. Season 12 is another great season (despite the disqualified contestant).

Regarding international seasons, drag race UK seasons 1 and 2 are very good!!! You don't need to have seen the US version to get into it. The Thailand and Philippines international seasons are also great, as are the first two seasons of the España series.

Sorry I don't have a definite answer, but any of the above seasons are good places to start!

my week has been good !! my sleep schedule is in shambled (i have gone to bed at 00:30 in the last 2 days), but we move on

uhh i have been watching this specific youtubeers reviews of drag race a lot this week.. ive literally never watched drag race or had any interest but somehow i found myself watching a 2.5h compilation of his rpdr uk s2 reviews until 1am. so. yeah

what else what else.. uh ive been doing a lot of opera practice !! i have had my lines stuck on loop in my head for so long,, as well as everyone elses lmao. tho its a good opera so i do not mind

overall, its been a very fast 2 weeks. i swear i spent the first half going "isnt it only supposed to be friday today" bc it had gone so fast. but ive had some fun and stuff so its not all bad

also! my friend made brownies today and it rly helped cheer me up (i am a tad bit poorly the past few days)

I feel like saying "first trans girl" on rpdr uk is slightly confusing because they're all "girls" as queens in drag and there have been trans queens but I'm assuming she means the first trans woman and I guess somehow that's true, which is kinda wild that they had 2 seasons without a trans woman

is the tea on canada's drag race vs the world still that theres not a single queen from a non-anglophone franchise and also that icesis is there for some reason. ukvstw was a mess but like it really did have the best cast it couldve had with the seasons that had aired at its time of filming, like some heavy hitters or "robbed queens" in janey, blu, baga and jimbo, some fan faves in lemon and cheryl, a genuine wild card pick in pangina and then they had to go a direction with the american queens and for the direction they chose (which feels off but like anything else wouldve felt off too) mo and jujubee were great choices. youd think that with a sequel season that has a ton of not just new seasons but new franchises to pick from theyd get into a similar casting format but with just more queens but they have truly just not utilized any of the obvious options (i know a lot of them probably were asked and declined im just talking theory here)

like from each franchise you could pick out heavy hitters, fan faves or wild cards but a lot of the obvious choices arent there (see keta minaj, bimini, farida, pythia etc for heavy hitters)

like iirc the seasons that aired pre-filming were thailand 1+2, holland 1+2, italia, espana 1+2, down under 1, uk 1-3, canada 1+2, and rpdr 12 and all stars 6? not sure abt all of these.
