extremely tempted to sketch out designs for a bunch of Team Plasma grunts for the Driftveil safehouse

#i wanna have like. a consistent side cast to pull from for the anthea and concordia roleplay blog #hmm notes to self would probably wnt to have name job level of contact w safehouse crew and pokemon #the safehouse can house uhh 13 people comfortably and closer to 24 if ppl sleep on floors and couches #there were only abt a dozen people in rood's group at first but after they helped stop neo plasma a bunch of other n loyalists and #generally decent ex-plasmas contacted them to help out with rehoming the 'mon rescued from neo + digging out opelucid #some of them have since tried to distance themselves from plasma entirely but a bunch are still friendly with a+c #and several still live in driftveil and are involved with local pkmn welfare organizations #and the mon canonically living in the safehouse in bw2 are galvantula scraggy patrat herdier + n's zorua and rood's herdier and swoobat #lovenpeace meta #oncilla speaks

yknow i always had my little knickknacks and complaints with gen 5. and that stuff was minor like the stupid evo levels for pokemon like braviary and all that. but if you asked me what my issue with BW were is THIS. the fact that the zorua line was the FIRST gen 5 pokemon to be revealed AND one to get an entire movie dedicated to it, and they made the obtaining methods so bull that it hurts.

now, i know what you may be thinking: well GEE kuze, if it bothers you so much, just do as the wiki says! and normally, you would be right! but the only issue is that:

1) the prices for a current copy of black/white are OVER 50 dollars! if that sounds like a reasonable price to you, then good! whatever floats your boat! but i CAN'T afford that! emulation it is, then!

2) last time i checked: THE CELEBI EVENT ENDED 12 YEARS AGO. so there is NO WAY for me to do the whole transferring thing unless i just so happened to find a distribution cartridge right on my bed by cosmic deity's doing. and i can say just the same thing about the shiny legendary beasts requirement.

ough. long story short i hate specific requirements for stuff like this. it makes me stomp my feet and blow steam out of my nose.

I remembered that he had a Zorua friend, that Rood gave to Nate/Rosa in B2W2. I wonder if this Zoroark is his Zorua friend that was entrusted to Nate/Rosa, but Nate/Rosa returned his Zorua (who had evolved to Zoroark) to N when N met them at Pokemon League?

#personal #pokemon masters #when i was playing white 2 and got zorua from rood #and knew that it was n's pokemon #i took really really great care of him #even though it was a bit tough leveling him up early on #but once he got access to his best moves and tms he became really powerful #it was fun fooling the opposing trainers with the zoroark #and when i reached the point where n met the protag in pokemon league #he recognized the zoroark and was very happy #i was going to return zoroark to him but he says 'zoroark looks happy with you hope you continue to take care of him' #or something like that #which i appreciate but at the same time #i wish i could return n's zoroark to him #he's the rightful owner of his zoroark after all #but since n wants zoroark to stay in my team then i keep bringing zoroark as part of my fixed team in b2w2 #and seems like n has another zoroark too #the one that leads nate/rosa to the n's castle ruins #anyway #i'm rambling #but i just think n and his zorua/zoroark's friendship is great #even if it's only shown very little and mostly implied throughout the game

For all “Emmet is accused of and put on trial for murdering Ingo” is great whump fodder, the fact is, there’s evidence that incarceration or even what we think of as traditional criminal justice isn’t really a thing in Pokemon Earth. One of Team Plasma’s Sages, Rood, is given the opportunity to atone for his crimes alongside other former members of Team Plasma to return Pokemon they stole to their trainers. In USUM, Lusamine and Guzma endanger all of Alola with their actions and Lusamine doesn’t appear to face any legal consequences and Guzma starts working under Hala.

And Chairman Rose is particularly egregious, imo. While it’s never said outright what happens to him after the main story, Oleana makes a cameo appearance in the DLC where she’s shown looking for Rose, having heard a man who looks like him (actually Rose’s younger brother Peony) was in the area, implying that Rose is a free man. I suppose he could be on the lamb but that doesn’t seem likely, he lost most of his resolve after being defeated. And the postgame antagonists of SwSh, Sordward and Shielbert, are explicitly free and atoning for their actions using their wealth.

Anyways. Point is, Pokemon Earth is a lot kinder than our world, and Emmet’s not going to get falsely accused, probably.

rotating hazel and leon in my mind some more. but also my beloved OC camila and her nerd boyfriend cheren

for context, camila is my OC who replaces hilda/hilbert as the MC for pokemon black & white. she's a pokemon battle loving dork who is upsettingly physically strong. as in, when she disappeared for 2 years while looking for N, she was sparring with her own pokemon. hand to hand combat with a blaziken. basically taking on plasma grunts herself instead of bothering with the formalities of a pokemon battle. she's also hazel's cousin, older by 2 years

a couple years after B2W2 came out, i decided for one reason or another to retire camila- that she'd become champion, she didn't need to do anything else and she could retire.

problem? camila was 16 during the events of B2W2. she's young!!!!! she doesn't need to retire! I'M FIXING THAT. SHE DESERVES BETTER

so now i can spend time thinking about what she, cheren and bianca are up to 10~ years later! especially since at some point camila and cheren started dating for real (and are effectively an old married couple at this point)

since we don't have any new information on cheren and bianca officially.... i'd like to think cheren's moved up from being a teacher at the small trainer school.. maybe a larger school somewhere in unova now? i'll have to think on it, but i'd like to think he's higher up in the pokemon league structure now, but probably is still a gym leader

i'd like to think camila took the initiative post her 2 year trip around the world to ensure ghetsis is out of the picture and neo team plasma is disbanded for good, while helping N and Rood establish the remaining dedicated team plasma members into a more coherent organization dedicated to helping weak and abandoned pokemon

camila, unlike hazel, is a little more comfortable with being in charge and taking on duties, so she works with the pokemon league a lot more and still serves as a representative even though she let go of the champion role officially a long time ago. that saaaid, she's still a fan of running off and having fun instead of being tied down to paperwork (leaving all of it for cheren to do, while she gets to do fun things like wrestle a beartic)

meanwhile bianca's a little more settled, still working on her pokemon professor studies and focusing on like, 5 or 6 different areas because she's still not 100% sure what she'd like to focus on when she finally becomes a fully fledged pokemon professor- she's friends with Sonia, though! she always seems to be interested in a new topic every week... but! she's very knowledgeable, and it comes in handy more often than not- just more in a practical sense, and less a study sense

when they all have free time though, camila's absolutely dedicated to getting the three of them out of unova- whether it's going to champion summits, just tagging along on research trips with bianca, or literally any reason under the sun to go somewhere, she's making an excuse to take her best friends with her <3 (and once in a while picking somewhere romantic to go with cheren)

and, well, that new undersea academy off the unova coast sounds interesting. cheren got a job offer to teach for a semester there... hmmm....

meanwhile uhhhh leon and hazel are holding hands. i dunno. i HAD something i wanted to say but it disappeared out of my brain

Hilda obtained her trainer’s license at sixteen and completed the Unovan Gym Challenge in under ten months, she is one of four trainers (N, Cheren, and Bianca) from that year to do so.

Hilda was the trainer to defeat the original Team Plasma.

She holds the title of former Unova Champion and is honored in the Hall of Fame. Hilda never acted as Champion, only her friends and the League know her reasoning for turning down the position.

Despite not having acted as Champion, Hilda can sometimes be seen at league functions and has remained on good terms with the Unova league. 

Hilda captured Reshiram at Plasma’s Castle and is The Hero of Truth, the dragon remains in her possession.

She vanished from Unova for nearly three years after her journey, returning just after Neo Team Plasma was defeated. The reasoning behind her departure is not public, some speculate she was training, others that she was searching for someone.

She has only recently been seen on the competitive battling scene, having taken a hiatus after her journey.

✦ | Semi-Public Information | ✦ (Unovan citizens, select groups, and friends know)

Hilda is bonded to Reshiram. Those familiar with bonds between humans and legendaries may know that this means the two can freely communicate and feel one another’s pain.

Ghetsis attempted to kill Hilda during their battle at the castle, but her Samurott took a hit in order to protect her that nearly cost his life. He has scars on his chest from it.

Her mother, Clara, is a nurse at Accumula Pokemon Center. Her father, Ethan, was a Pokemon researcher with an interest in legends. He passed away in a cave in that occurred at an excavation site in the Ruins of Alph. Both of her parents were Pokemon trainers that completed the Unovan Gym Challenge but did not defeat the Elite Four.

After finding her footing again in Unova, Hilda speaks with aspiring trainers at the trainer schools in Unova.

Hilda is passionate about Pokemon conservation efforts and supports related charities. She pursues participating in research involving strengthening the bonds between people and Pokemon. Like her father, Hilda also has an interest in legends across various regions. 

Hilda frequently checks in on Rood’s Drifveil City group of members from the original Team Plasma that remained loyal to N. She continues to offer assistance in their efforts to reunite or find new homes, for Pokemon that were separated from their trainers. 

✦ | Private Information | ✦ (only those close to Hilda know)

Due to Unova’s dragons being the result of one dragon’s split, Reshiram’s existence in a physical form is dependent on being bonded to a person. If Hilda were to surrender her title, or when she inevitably passes, Reshiram will revert to the light stone until it recognizes a new hero. (Those very familiar with the legend of the Unovan dragons will also know this)

Due to her bond with Reshiram, Hilda can tell if someone is lying.

Hilda spent her time away from Unova after her journey traveling to various regions and building her bond with Reshiram. She raised an Umbreon named Shadow during this time and accepted scatted challenges for battle. While traveling she kept an eye out for N but never found him.

Hilda has PTSD as a result of her experiences facing Team Plasma. The trauma caused a period of stagnancy following her initial journey and hiatus from competitive battling.

Hilda was hospitalized in Opelucid City for a few weeks following the events that occurred at Plasma’s Castle for treatment of burns and other injuries sustained during her battles against Reshiram, N, and Ghetsis.

Since her return to Unova, Hilda suffers from tension headaches from time to time.

She resides in Nuvema town, renting a small house from an older couple that has known her since she was a child that has relocated. Her mother takes care of the home whenever she is traveling.

believe it or not the idea to have her be a former team plasma member came to me while i was drawing lmao. having her be an assistant to juniper sr. was already an element of her character i hammered out going in but the plasma thing is just extra sauce

also i didn't write it into the image but she's specifically also researching the swords of justice & keldeo, which is why her pendant is similar to the 3 colored ornaments on keldeo's resolute form (this does in fact play into the ship bc skyla is the gym leader of mistralton city. and guess what cave cobalion lives in)

edit to add: also she has an emolga. i did not draw her with the emolga but the emolga is significant bc tabs released all her plasma-issued (definitely not stolen) pokemon after the fall of team plasma but then didn't actually have her own pokemon while she was briefly doing community service with sage rood's ex-plasma group, nor after that when she became cedric juniper's assistant, but skyla gave her the emolga as a gift ^^ so her first real pokemon that's actually hers was a gift from her gf. which is very gay
