i have a lot of opinions about the Octonauts movies- but i’ll keep it a bit short i suppose ^^

Cave of Sac Actun: 9/10

CoSA is actually my number-one favorite Octonauts movie- it centers around Barnacles and Peso and in Barnacles’ past- which makes me a bit happy and sad at the same time. At times the movie doesn’t make sense to me- like when Grouber notices the shaking trees- i’m not really sure how to explain it. But whatever, it is my favorite movie besides that.

Great Barrier Reef: 6/10

This is probably my least favorite movie- I mean, i love the songs- It just gives me the least amount of interest than the other movies do. I love the main character Corey and the song he sings. I actually mostly love all of the songs in the movie, but the plot is just simply: eehhhhhh

Ring of Fire: 8/10

I love this movie a lot- but the mega gupz thing is just eh, I don’t really like it. I like the plot besides the gupz thing, i love how the crew has to face the danger of the ring of fire by themselves - with some company of course. I also don’t like the ending either???? idk, that’s just my tiny opinion i guess.

What do you think of MasakoX's What If Bulma Trained Like Goku?

Never saw it other than the thumbnails. So I dont know what its about. But Bulma training like Goku? She would have to learn martial arts. Cause even if she mad battle armor, she would need to know how to fight. The battle armor is essentially the same as Cyborg 17 & 18 except their enhancements are like internal battle armor while Bulma can remove her armor (& would be weaker). But like I said, Bulma would need to learn martial arts because from what I can tell, 17 & 18 fighting styles "installed" in their brains.

There were a lot of asks like this one, so imma answer them all in this post. And for most of these I either never saw or I only saw a few. So I will give quick scenarios of how I think they would end. So, you'll kinda get quick what-if stories from me.

Saw some of it. Felt like Broly was infantized in a way. Doesnt match up with Z Broly at all to me. Not very interesting, so I stopped watching it.

I dont think I saw it. But if he was, then he would be too weak to defeat Freeza if he became a SSJ before the Saiyan Saga.

If Vegeta became a SSJ on Namek, then he may kill Freeza, but Vegeta likes to gloat, so... Freeza may have ended up killing Vegeta either by the planet exploding or by a sneak attack. We saw what happened when Vegeta defeated Freeza in RoF.

And Vegeta was less arrogant in DBS. So DBZ Vegeta would have definetly gloated too much and would likely get himself killed. Then Freeza would recover and hunt down the rest of the Saiyans on Earth.

Never saw it. Would be lame to me tho if they stayed fused forever.

However, Toriyama would figure out a way to defuse them somehow. Likely from a wish from the Namekian Dragon Balls to defuse them (like how Supreme Kai & Kibito defused). So, after Vegito enters inside Super Buu, frees Piccolo & the kids, then defeats Kid Buu with his own might, the 3 wishes would be...

#1: Restore Earth from its damaged state.

#2: Bring those killed by Babidi and his minions back to life.

#3: Defuse Vegito.

I would prefer something like that. Then, the series continues on as normal until the Goku Black/Future Trunks Saga of DBS. Then Vegito would probably be in the Tournament of Power (would need another team member). According to DBFZ, Vegito & Gogeta's power is about equal to Jiren's full power (not his awakened state). So a Vegito vs Jiren battle would happen early and other opponents would be eliminated during their intense battle.

Depending on if Vegito could use UI or not due to the Vegeta half, Vegito may defeat Jiren. Or Jiren may awaken while Vegito doesn't awaken & Vegito loses. Maybe the Potara Earrings break and they defuse. Could go either way.

Never saw it. But if Freeza saw Vegeta's potential, I'm pretty sure Freeza would kill him. He kept the strongest of different alien races as trophies in a way. He kept Vegeta around while noticing his potential anyways, so the premise for this what-if is already in the series. Freeza always recognized Vegeta's potential.

But if Vegeta was seen as an actual threat to Freeza, Freeza would eliminate him just like he did with the rest of the Saiyans because he saw them teaming up against him as a threat. A very short story. And a very short story for Vegeta.

I think I saw maybe only 4 videos. From what I remember, MasakoX kinda changed how Z Bardock was. I could be wrong. And I think he made Bardock & King Vegeta team up? And the Saiyans defeated Freeza? Can't remember.

But if Bardock did convince the other Saiyans, Freeza could still easily kill the Saiyans. He effortlessly destroyed Planet Vegeta while in his first form in the original story. Saiyans pushing back against him would just result in Freeza using more power to finish them off. Back to the normal canon. Nothing changed except Freeza would be more paranoid and probably kill kid Vegeta, Nappa, & kid Raditz.

Now it's a story where there is no Saiyan Saga. THAT would be interesting to explore. How does Goku and the others find out about Freeza? Is it from Jaco? What happens after the Z Warriors (& Piccolo) train to face an enemy like Freeza? Do they all go to Namek? Gohan would probably not be there with them. Goku would lose some friends then turn SSJ. Afterwards we have a Cell & Buu Saga without Vegeta screwing everything up. DBS would be very different tho.

A two-for-one, eh?

Saw very little of the Freeza & Gero one. Interesting concept. Don't know how it ended or if it ended. I imagine it would have a lot of betrayal. Maybe even end up having Cell need to absorb Freeza to be perfect. Idk.

Broly as an android? Never saw it. But in my mind, Broly would have to be suppressed through science. Greatly suppressed so that he doesn't get out of hand. And then once he breaks the mind control mechanism or deactivation remote, we essentially get the part of the 1st Z Broly movie where the Z Fighters have to work together to defeat Broly. Except now he's on Earth, the human Z Warriors would pitch in, & Gohan would probably have to turn SSJ2. Maybe Goku dies while fighting Broly & that makes Gohan snap. Then Amdroid Broly is killed by the Father-Son Kamehameha.

Back To The Future Part 2 vibes. Incest vibes. Kinda weird having an OP character in the past and he has to pretend to be weak the entire time. Doesn't feel like there are any stakes. One Punch Man is similar due to Saitama being OP, but they make the boring idea work with comedy and get you invested in other characters.

I just feel like if Trunks accidentally went that far back, his first priority would be to make sure everyone stays alive. Second priority would be that when Goku attacks the Red Ribbon Army base, Trunks would hunt down Gero & kill him. Mission accomplished. He now tried to return to his timeline.

Also back to the incest thing... Bulma has shown attraction for Trunks in official material. Breakers to be specific. So, its kinda accurate there. She'd do it if she didn't know. But Trunks? Nah. Seems out of character. I don't remember but I think MasakoX had Trunks kinda attracted to her until she said what her name was. I know its a Back To The Future Part 2 reference, but I think Trunks would know what his mom would look and sound like immediately even when she was 16. Bulma's look is easily identifiable. So that part was just an unnecessary reference that made Trunks out of character.

Saw some of it. If my memory is correct, I thought it was pretty good.

I can't remember, but I don't think I liked it. That kind of power does make sense for someone like Gohan, but I don't think I liked the way it was implemented.

Didn't watch it. Didn't care for the name. Never like that "So-and-so Did Nothing Wrong" thing. So it didn't interest me. Plus... Zamasu did everything wrong.

Never saw it. But I would imagine it would play out with King Vegeta seeing his fate at the hands of Freeza, try to fight against it, then die to Freeza regardless of what he did just like Bardock how couldn't change his fate. He was cursed with knowing a future he couldn't prevent.

Saw a few minutes. Wasn't with it. Goku would have destroyed a lot. Only someone like Grampa Gohan could fight with him and be alright.

The people at Capsule Corp. would be wiped out & Goku would turn into an Oozaru. Then Bulma would probably be on the hunt for the Dragon Balls to wish her family and others back and find a way to kill that giant ape.

Goku falling on his head and being nursed back to health & being taught kindness by Grampa Gohan changed him.

That not happening would result in Goku's Saiyan nature causing him to wreck havoc.

Didn't see it. Never liked that ship. Toroyama didn't choose that for good reasons. Seemed too obvious that the male & female lead would get together, plus they aren't compatible. Bulma was most compatible with Yamcha, but she argued too much for no reason and ruined that romance then got stuck with someone who was worse.

If she was with Goku, Bulma would complain almost as much as she does with Vegeta. She complained about Yamcha training too much and Goku trained even more. She wouldn't be happy. She would likely divorce him/separate from him. I believe the only reason Bulma didnt separate from Vegeta was because Vegeta is the kind of guy that would stay and threaten you if you try to kick him out. Goku wouldn't. He would just want to see his son regularly.

Saw some of it. Seems like Freeza was almost a different character. But it wasn't bad. Maybe Freeza turned good too quickly tho.

Never saw it. If Freeza betrayed then but they were saved by the Z Fighters, then I can see them turning good.

Just a suggestion, but next time tell me if you like those what-if stories when you ask these questions. I don't really watch MasakoX's what-if videos anymore, so knowing your thoughts would be interesting.

Fandom: Hollow Knight

Chapter Characters: Pure Vessel/Sealed Vessel, mentions of other characters, Random Voices

Warnings: Canon typical violence, gore, body horror, psychological torment, time shenanigans, Hollow (Sealed Vessel) is not having a good time and likely is not going to have a good time for a long while.

Chapter Summary: Questions, questions, but if you answer them a door may open that should have stayed closed. What is the price of undoing other's mistakes? Is it a price one can pay?

There was a voice that whispered in the silence now. A sigh within the echo of each infected drip in the puddle that forms, formed, yet to form under their suspended body. Constant questions asked to them, of them, for them. Maybe they had succumbed to the infection to the point they were dreaming wild dreams of nonsense and fears mixed with wishes and hopes. Like the odd dreams some would speak of in jest or as portents of fortune when they had stood like an ornament within the palace. Practicing and projecting the feeling of being empty, of being pure. Even as they listened and watched those around them live and dream.

They had not dreamed before they were sealed. At least they did not think they did. They were not meant to sleep at all, but they knew there were times where they would fade, drift away and come back slowly or abruptly back into awareness. Those moments they had trained themself to not start or sway. To remain upright and still so none could see or question, to know they were not empty and throw them away.

The new voice liked to whisper questions on why they feared that so much. They did not answer, though, after they had stopped counting the cycles of waking up whole and in the dark they began to think about how they had left their siblings in the dark.

(Do you mourn them?)

They should have stopped hurting and caring as fiercely as they had started for the little vessel, their sibling, the one their sister called Little Ghost of Hallownest.

(How fitting a name, if you had a name would you match this Ghost or separate from them?)

Yet, they still cried out in their mind for them to flee to leave and never return to this place. To let them remain rotting and dying in the egg of their false sacrifice. If that small vessel ever heard them they never answered or paused in their quest. A foolish quest, much like how the Gendered Child protected those few who remained within the dying gasp of a kingdom crumbling. Why do either of them not give up?

Another crack, but it’s different. Cold dread overcomes the scorching heat of infection, and numbs the agony of their mask slowly being split open a small crack at a time from viscous orange pus. Then they feel a sensation of falling and their mind is filled with dreams that are not dreams, but not the same as those that come with the dark and cold of when they first became sealed.

(If another made a sacrifice, would you accept it?)

No.

(If one loved you enough to disappear, would you accept it?)

Flashes of a place of gold tinted light and fights that seem endless as little Ghost somehow changed the cycle, is not in Hallownest, but is and fights so many they know from dreams repeating. Hornet fierce and unrelenting. The Nightmare King of scarlets and reds, themselves as they were once meant to be if they had truly been Pure, the Knights they had admired and feared in equal measure for their strength and their closeness that they would never know. Her in full power and rage as the little Ghost fought on and on, and darkness crept ever up into this gold painted realm as if seeking something.

The Void awake, given form, given purpose, given Rage. Their sibling, all of their siblings that were never given a chance, never saw anything but the void and the pain of cracked masks. Gone. One with that which all return to. Where they want and yearn to return to.

They were free? She was gone from mind and soul, but it hurt more then if She had remained. All because they knew, they knew that the one who saved them was gone. A drop in an ocean that was the Abyssal Sea. 

They were alone.

(Is this existence worth living with their lives being chains around your soul?)

Hornet was alive, but she could survive without them, without their presence a reminder of all that was lost and gone. They did not deserve this life, this chance.

(If it brought you Agony, would you undo it all and take the toll so they could live?)

They felt something warm and pale, weak and powerful, flickering and steady within them. It flowed back and forth, in a circle that could be remade.

(Would you hold the Sins of this land? Just for a chance they could be happy?)

They Pulled.

(You would choose to suffer to save those you have loved from the moment you were made aware of love?)

Somewhere, deep, deep, deep in the Abyss. As eggs of two beings of light rested in the nest of darkness. That which was The Shade Lord and the Ghost of Hallownest stirred and dreamed of a repeated journey to save a sibling tricked by Light. They stirred and settled, but now changed.

A once sealed vessel, broken and far from empty stirred as the final groan of a door being shut echoed in the dark. This was not the dark of their tomb.

Below the ledge they lay, eggs began to hatch.

You hold the chains to revert their deaths…if you can withstand the agony of the Sin of undoing so.

pony starlight is in a poly relationship with pony sunburst and pony trixie! (this means human starlight is dating rainbooms + human trixie :D

rarity and trixie have this love hate relationship with each other where they make out in the back of the yearbook room when no one's around (everyone knows they kiss in there but pretend that they dont because it's more fun that way)

I wrote RoF in what was essentially a 36-hour period, so I don't remember what came first for certain, but I'm pretty sure it was this, the second break in the fic:

It’s not always bad. With a little time, it all becomes manageable. It’s just the way we live now, after a while.

Rose plates the eggs, breaking a little piece off to give to Bagel. She puts one in front of Emily, and sits down next to her at the countertop. “Okay.”

“I’m sorry.” She can’t fathom eating right now, not when she feels like stepping down from the stool will suck her through the floor and away from everything she’s ever worked for. 

Rose splits Emily’s portion of eggs down the middle, dumping one of the halves onto her own plate. It makes everything more manageable. 

“I know. We’ll be alright.” 

The entire fulcrum of the fic was meant to be the communication between Rose and Emily, where they go wrong and how they fix it. Even for an established relationship fic, I wanted it to be clear from the jump to the audience that Rose was fully invested in the relationship, come hell or high water, and Son was our semi-unreliable narrator. The love for Rose is not the main point of the story, but it's almost the setting for it. Emily adores Rose, even when she's hesitant about their relationship. When Emily says she couldn't hurt Rose in the sequel, we believe it. Emily loves Rose. Rose will give Emily anything she thinks she can give. They're apologetic, but they both try to make their own shit as manageable for the other person as they can. This is where I began, and where everything was built going forward.

4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue?

I love talking about dialogue and prose, and I LOVE this question for Room on Fire, which is centered around conversations. I’m going to be insufferable about this and answer it a few ways: 

I think my favorite piece of dialogue outright is from the end, either this sequence: “It’s not an engagement ring, by the way.”  ”It’s not?”  “It’s anything you want it to be, baby.” Emily says, her smirk spreading even wider. “Well, maybe not a chastity ring. I know how you catholics are about-”  “Literally shut up.” or the almost immediately after “Something that made me yours?” Rose supplies, quietly, trying to veer them into familiar territory. Emily’s eyes darken and her mouth twitches, just a little. “You and I both know a ring doesn’t make you mine.” 

They’re playing a game here, where they’re shifting back and forth from best friends, to people that sleep together, to people that want a future together. Loving someone like they do is exactly that; best friends who sleep together and trust each other and bicker and get through it and love each other all the more coming out the other side. They’re telling each other they want a future together without having to say it out loud, at least knowing peripherally that the other is thinking about it and confirming that they’re both fully invested in the relationship. It ends with them being responsible therapy goers and being explicit, but even before they say it forthright, we the audience know where this is going. They’re going to have sex, they’re going to make each other breakfast, they’re going to take every step to immesh their lives together that they think they can get away with. A ring doesn’t make Rose Emily’s. Rose has always been Emily’s, because Rose chose to come to Marietta, and Emily is finally at place where she’s so at peace with herself that she can say it to herself and to Rose without making herself nervous about it. These lines are the culmination of a lot, and a few months later, I’m happy with them. 

The most important line in the fic, or at least the line I want everyone to say out loud to themselves as many times as they need, is this from Dr. Joshua: “You didn’t come into this world fucked up, Emily. No one does. It wasn’t your fault. You were just a kid trying to be good.” 

My mom wasn’t around a lot when I was little. My dad was extremely strict, and the second my mom got home, he would make us stand in front of the stairs while he would tell her every bad thing my brother and I had done since she’d left. Most of my childhood memories have to do with the feeling of shame, and the waiting for something horrible to come from it. I wanted my mom to love me and to be proud of me more than I wanted anything in the world, and I became this really frightened, nervous, quiet kid who would panic anytime I thought I was failing at something. All these years later, I’m still this quiet, easily frightened person who desperately wants the affirmation and love of others, even though I never feel like I’ve done enough to deserve it. I’m still standing at the base of the stairs, waiting for all my misdeeds to be said aloud and for everyone to shame me and leave. I wrote this piece of dialogue after I found some of my journal entries from when I was 6, 8, 11, all saying some iteration of “I’m a bad kid and I need to get better.” I wasn’t bad. I was a little kid. I try to be good, and just by virtue of trying, we are good. There’s nothing inherently wrong with me. It’s just my own brain trying to hurt itself. I know my audience, and I know what it’s like to grow up queer in a house that wasn’t built to accommodate that. You’re not fucked up. There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re still worth loving, and however you were treated as a kid isn’t your fault. You were just a kid trying to be good. You’re still just a kid trying to be good. And you are. The people who love you know that. You can rest now. 

The line I really loved but felt very under-the-rug was this one by Rose at the beginning of the ring scene: “Whatever you’re trying to apologize to me for, Sonny, it’s okay.”

In Candlewax & Polaroids, I get into the backstory and Rose’s side of the relationship. She’s a kind and logical person, so it’s not a revelation that she’s willing to forgive whatever Emily’s done, even though she is very stubborn. The big thing about this line is that Rose is able to recognize and say it. She knew about Emily’s anxiety. She knew about Emily’s attraction to her. She knows what Emily is trying to work through. She’s trying to give her space, but she’s obviously rehearsed all these things to say or how to handle this aspect of their relationship. And she’ll never point it out or make Emily feel apologetic for it. She loves Emily. It doesn’t matter whatever Emily is hiding from her, because she loves her, and in the most clear sense of it, she’s already forgiven her. The door is open and the house is warm, Emily doesn’t need to punish herself and stay outside. It’s all okay. (C&P part 2 will get into this scene more, but I’m not giving any spoilers).

there's a scene ingame where king kolka lets the party stay overnight and sleep in preparation to storm the temple, and al comments that it's an 'untimely record personal' for him to sleep that late. ofc my mental version of that scene had marathyssa [my rof s/i] sleeping next to him too so the whole room was like a pile of sleeping kittens but the kittens are three young adventurers and their caretakers
