Campanula carpatica (Carpathian harebell, tussock bellflower)
My neighbor down the street has a beautiful rockery and she’s pretty deft with a paintbrush too (as this lovely painted rock testifies). Campanula carpatica is native to the Carpathian Mountains in central Europe and it grows in mountainous habitats, in and amongst the rocks. Flowers are purple in color and plants bloom from June to September.

my mum and I went to the garden center today. "we must behave", we said. "we can't buy too many" we said.
what fools we are.
VFT, bear paw cactus and string of hearts are mine! the rest are for the garden, we bought a ton of alpines for the rockery we're building.

The rock garden in May
I took a lot of photos in April/May but work was so much that I had no time to spare for editing/posting. Have some belated impressions of my small rockery now.
Amongst others there are various carnations, mossy saxifrage, euphorbia, Cerastium tomentosum and Saponaria x olivana “Bressingham”.
