Agricultural Robots Market Size, Industry Trends, Share and Forecast 2019-2025
The "Agricultural Robots Market" report is expected to grow from $4.6 billion in 2020 to $20.3 billion in 2025. It is expected to grow at a CAGR of 34% over the forecast period. Due to COVID-19, the agricultural robot market is expected to decline by about 8% in 2019-2020. A decline in the skilled workforce (as indicated by an increase in the average age of farmers) and an increase in the economics of IoT and GPS technologies are driving the market growth. The decline of young farmers entering the agricultural sector and the rise of farmers' minimum wages are also driving the growth of the agricultural robot market. With the advent of low-cost IoT devices, enterprises can provide a variety of agricultural software and analytics services to their customers. The use of multi-mode systems for coordination between various hardware such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), autonomous tractors and other automated farm equipment through centralized management software serves as a growth opportunity for the agricultural robot market.

Roboplant is making the factory starting process easier
Tumblr media
Roboplant now has better production tools in the farming sim game on Linux and Windows PC. This is all thanks to the continuous work of developer Rebelpug. Currently available via Steam Early Access. The Roboplant latest update brings a host of new content. Plus developer Rebelpug always welcomes more suggestions and keeps track of player feedback. In the past month, the dev's are making the factory starting process easier. While offering more tools to earn money and a better way to manage your production.
TWO NEW PRODUCTION MACHINES
Roboplant now has a better wick system that you can unlock to increase your production. All while you research more advanced machines. This new version of the wick system produces almost twice the amount of plants and it looks very good placed in corners. Seedling has always been a time-consuming process. With the seeder versions currently available in Roboplant. The workers have to do a lot of manual labour to grow seedlings and get them ready for the next step. Nevertheless, with this production release, you will be able to unlock an advanced and more efficient version. Since this can increase your yield and reduce the manual work of your robots.
FOUR NEW PLANTS in Roboplant
More plants, more fun. That’s why you can now grow four new Earth varieties in your factory. The dev favorite is mint, but the others are pretty cool as well. All of them can help you diversify the production so that you can earn extra money.
PRODUCERS NOW CAN BE PRIORITIZED
Another interesting upgrade for this update release is the possibility to prioritize producers. This feature is accessible from the warehouse panel in Roboplant, since this where you can view all the producers and what they're producing. And you can also prioritize them. Workers will then focus on those that have a higher priority status. You can even filter producers by plant type and prioritize all of them at once. This is a highly requested feature to give you more control over priorities. Let us know if it meets your expectations.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR WORKERS
Now you can choose the look of your workers in Roboplant with a unique skin. There are more skins coming over the next few months.
NEW TUTORIAL AND ADDITIONAL SUPPORT PANEL
The new tutorial is finally out. Over the past months since the early access version release, there were complaints about the tutorial. The Roboplant design now has a more comprehensive tutorial. Which is also better for both those who are starting from scratch and those who just need additional tips. In the new Roboplant tutorial, every time you open a panel for the first time, you receive a message from Beebop. In this message, you can learn more about the panel and what it does. As well as get useful tips on how it works. You can go back to this message by clicking the question mark icon on the top right corner of each panel. This new tutorial might not be perfect yet, but its come a long way from the first version. The dev's are also eager for more player feedback on this improved change.
BALANCING for Roboplant
Balancing is another important aspect of this release. During January, Roboplant became too difficult to play. After realized this, Rebelpug went right to work on balancing the difficulty. While making some aspects of the game easier and smoother. Roboplant farming sim game now has better production tools in the game. Which is available in Steam Early Access. Priced at $19.99 USD / £17.99 / 19,99€. Along with support for Linux and Windows PC. Plus the game also has a free Demo for Linux too.

Roboplant latest update brings Linux support
Tumblr media
Roboplant farming sim game is now testing out Linux support with Windows PC. Which is the result of further details from developer Rebelpug. Available now via Steam Early Access. Another small piece has been added to Roboplant. So now the developer adds various points to the roadmap. All thanks to player suggestions. This release also includes a fantastic addition to make games more challenging. If you are curious about what this new update has in store, read below.
Planetary events are coming to Roboplant
This is definitely the most important feature of this Roboplant release. The game is due to become more interesting and demanding with the addition of an extra level of difficulty. Depending on the planet you are on, at some point in the game there will be a planetary event. This will also put your business at risk. You will have to keep an eye on your hydroponic machinery and your robots, since they will need extra help.
Unleash your creativity, build more freely
There’s no more need to build rooms connected to corridors. Choose a room and add it wherever you want. And if you want to connect to another room through a corridor you can. But this is not necessary anymore.
Enjoy moving around the game with new camera controls
We have improved camera controls so players can move around more fluidly. You can now rotate the view (mouse middle click) and pan (right click).
Smarter workers that never get stuck - or at least try not to!
One of the problems in Roboplant was that robots could get stuck. And as a result, there was not much to do. We tried to make them smarter to avoid this kind of situation. If by chance one of the robots crashes, a notification will warn you.
Better, fewer notifications
The dev's are limiting the number of boring notifications so that when you get one, you know it’s urgent. Also, there is a new icon on the notifications: if you click on it, it brings you to the target.
Improved performances:
This is a work in progress but the dev's did reduce the workload on the CPU and GPU. So it should be faster on lower-end pcs. The road is still long, there may still be some limitations for some GPUs. But there are plans for more upgrades in the February update.
Roboplant Trailer
youtube
Balancing
There is an increase to the day duration since it was rather short. While balancing the profits of each plant and increased some construction and worker costs. It should be more of a challenge now. You now have to research the small storage locker to unlock it.
Improving the Roboplant experience
There are several changes to improve the experience. The producers will show you exactly which resource is actually missing in a billboard. Going back from any panel will bring you right where you were before. Making it more clear what is the impact of having workers unhappy or untrained in your production line.
Experimental Linux support
Rebelpug emailed to let me know they added support for Linux. Do keep in mind, it’s still experimental. But the dev's haven’t faced any functional problems. The main concern is that on some machines it doesn’t recognize the drivers properly. Let Rebelpug know if you encounter any weird glitch in Roboplant via Discord. There may also be a slight performance drop compared to the Windows PC build. Here's the email statement:
It's [Linux] still slower the performance compared to windows but I presume it's a driver issue
Do note, the Demo on Steam also offers Linux support with Windows PC.
Analytics - A way to improve Roboplant
Analytics is not mandatory and it’s totally up to you. But if you opt-in, this will be a huge help. With data, they only track how Roboplant is played so that we can improve the gaming experience. Also giving out free content. Roboplant farming sim game is available via Steam Early Access until November 2023. Available for Linux and Windows PC. Priced at $19.99 USD / £16.75 / 19,50€.

Roboplant will have you harvest food on alien planets
Tumblr media
Roboplant farming sim game is due to get a port for Linux with Windows PC. Which is the creative genius of developer Rebelpug. Working to make its way onto Steam Early Access. An alien planet, a team of robots, and all the necessary to build an efficient hydroponic farm. All so you can grow vegetables and fruit. The mission? Selling your products to other galaxies. While feeding humans on planet Earth. Growing the business into an interstellar farming empire. This is the premise of Roboplant. A new indie farming simulation game whose demo is out now. Getting ready for players during the October Steam Next Fest. The demo contains some of the basic features the game has to offer. Including a glimpse of what’s going to be implemented in the next months. Due to arrive before and after the early access release this November. Due to staying in Early Access for no more than a year. Plus, Rebelpug also has plans to offer Linux support going forward.
We are planning to do porting on Linux.
The developer does have plans to port Roboplant to Linux. But they also need to do some work to make sure the port doesn't require too much extra effort. In their email reply, the developer does point out the time frame, "we would love to do the porting in the next 6 months". However, I can also confirm that the Unity 3D game plays rather well with Proton. And yes, I'm playing the full version of the game, early.
Roboplant Trailer
youtube
Roboplant is a farming tycoon game set in a future where hydroponic technology allows growing plants on alien planets. Players begin their mission by choosing a planet (at the moment only one is available) and building the first base for their business. Then, they need to hire loyal workers with different skills and add the necessary farming equipment to start growing the first vegetables and fruits.
Game Key Features:
Growing plants Players can grow both terrestrial and alien plants. Each Roboplant plant needs specific setting conditions. So a room where it is possible to grow fresh strawberries might not be ideal for some juicy alien melons. Also, the plants can die and go to waste if the factory lacks water or electricity.
Research new technologies Players can use machinie available in the lab to research new tech. As well as make upgrade to their business. There are beautiful and even more efficient hydroponic machines that can be unlocked in the research tree. As well as water and electricity storages, solar panels, new plants, etc.
Improve your workers’ skills Each robot has different skills and therefore a specific role. Players can hire biologists, engineers, farmers, and builders. They can opt for generic robots. Workers can get specialized in specific areas. So they can work faster with less risks for the plants.
Fight environmental events Not only do players need to make good choices in Roboplant to grow their business. But they also have to face setting challenges such as meteorite falls, sandstorms, extreme heat or cold and more.
Play with genetics and create new plants Players can become mad scientists and experiment with genetics in order to create new plant species. Who knows what can be created by adding some strawberry genes to an apple!
October Steam Next Fest:
Players who access the Roboplant demo at this October #SteamNextFest can have the chance to play the game. Due to see a hint of the features listed above. They can access the core gameplay through the challenge mode. This allows players to choose a challenge and complete it in a limited amount of time. They can’t access the story mode, which allows the player to play Roboplant with no time limitations. Or unlock items in the research tree. Therefore, they’ll have the chance to grow only specific plants. Doing so with the hydroponic machines available. You can play the Roboplant farming sim game demo this October. Due keep in mind, this will be a Windows PC. Since a Linux port will be coming roughly 6 months after the Steam Early Access release this November.
