For your s class asks, au where Yoojin used to pet sit for his neighbours pets for some extra cash whenever he doesn’t have a job to do. When he awakens, he ended up with an animal taming ability, making him a legit monster tamer (would be funny if it worked with high ranked monsters as well)
When Yoojin sees the terrifying, pterodactyl-like monster heading for his boss’s van, he doesn’t stop to think. Without a single thought in his head other than desperate panic and an overwhelming desire for Lee Soojin and Im Namgi to stay alive, he whistles sharply, the way he does when he’s first starting to train a dog, and shouts, “Stop!” with as much confidence and sternness as he can muster.
Later, he’ll clutch his head and wonder why the fuck he thought this would work, because under any normal circumstances it shouldn’t have. The monster should’ve devoured them both. Yoojin should’ve died with them. But he stands there now, hands shaking with adrenaline and throat still aching with his yell, and watches the monster pause and turn around with a combination of terror and relief.
“B… back away from them,” he adds, since the monster doesn’t seem like it’s on the offensive anymore, and to his utter shock, it does. It climbs off of the car, ignoring the startled yelps of the people within, and instead walks towards Yoojin. “Oh, fuck.”
It slowly creeps forward, using claws on its wings and its short hind legs to unsettlingly and jerkily crawl along the ground, until its giant, sharp beak that was until only a second ago poised to dive into his boss’s car is only an arms-length away. At this distance, Yoojin can see its dark eyes, clear and focused on Yoojin, and how its head is covered in short, iridescent black feathers that almost look like scales. It’d be beautiful, if not for the needle-sharp teeth that poke out of its beak.
“What,” he croaks quietly, not daring to move. There’s a lesson about scaring away wildlife blaring in the back of his brain, but none of them hold a candle to the reality of being stared at by a creature that could undoubtedly kill him with half a thought.
It makes a strange noise in its throat, something between a chirp, click, and purr. It sounds… friendly, bizarrely enough, and the creature doesn’t look like it’s about to rip his head from his shoulders, but Yoojin doesn’t trust that for a single second. He doesn’t dare move.
The moment—if it could even be called a moment, rather than a pause before the creature could eat Yoojin for interrupting its previous meal—is shattered by the ear-piercing cry of another pterodactyl creature. His eyes instinctively go for the new threat, which is flying towards them with single-minded focus, before he remembers that he shouldn’t take his eyes off the thing that could kill him right now.
Instead of having a chunk taken out of him like he expects, though, the creature in front of him whips its head around and lets out one of those same ear-piercing cries and lunges for the other creature. Yoojin has to raise an arm against the dust and gravel that’s inadvertently flung into his face, but when he squints his eyes open again, the first flying creature has already tackled the second one full force and is obviously trying to gouge it in two.
Are they fighting over who gets to eat us…? Yoojin spends a moment staring in disbelief, before he remembers Lee Soojin and Im Namgi all at once and sprints towards the overturned van.
“Boss!” he yells, and is overwhelmingly thankful for the way Lee Soojin immediately pops her head out of the window and waves that she’s okay. “Do you need help?”
“I think we’ll be okay as long as nothing else comes at us!” True to word, she begins hauling herself out of the window and turns to grab her husband as soon as she’s free. Yoojin hurries over to help them both down, and they all duck for cover as soon as they can get their bearings.
“What do you think those are?” Im Namgi asks shakily, looking out at the scene of destruction laid before them through the window of the bank they’re taking cover in. There are other people in here too, but most of them are huddled as far from the windows as they can, apart from the security guard who’d let them through the doors. “They’re not like any animals I’ve ever seen.”
“They look like dinosaurs,” Yoojin offers, “but that doesn’t make sense either.”
“Who cares what they are,” Lee Soojin groans, sliding down the wall and staring up at the ceiling in despair. “They’re still wreaking havoc either way.”
Yoojin turns to join her, but a flash of blue in the corner of his eye catches his attention first. It’s a glowing blue screen hovering in the air, reminiscent of a game window.
[The Awakening of Han Yoojin has been registered.]
Once Yoojin reads that window, another pops up.
[Awakened Han Yoojin

Yoojin has to sit down.
“Hey,” he says to Lee Soojin once he’s taken a deep breath. “Is there anything strange in the air right now?”
She raises a sardonic eyebrow. “You mean other than the dinosaur creatures?”
“No, inside the bank.”
She gives him a concerned look, but she gamely gives the entire bank a passing glance. By the time her eyes settled back on Yoojin, she should’ve seen the window. “There’s nothing out of the ordinary here. Yoojin-ah, are you okay?”
“Other than the dinosaur creatures?” he jokes weakly and earns himself a snort. “I’m fine.”
So he’s the only one who can see the windows. He settles back against the wall and takes another look at… whatever the windows are supposed to be. As he scrolls through the information, careful not to be too obvious about his movements, he’s overwhelmingly reminded of video games and fantasy stories. Except—
Except.
This is real life. If his concentration wavers even a little, the screams of people outside are all too audible. There’s the sound of crunching glass, the shriek of metal, the frantic pounding of feet. This is not a video game, and yet somehow Yoojin is a player.
What is happening?
“Oh my god,” someone whimpers from across the room. “There—it’s here. Why is it looking at us? The rest of them have ignored the insides of buildings.”
Yoojin scrambles back from where his back was pressed against the front-facing wall, followed closely by Lee Soojin and Im Namgi and anyone else who’d taken shelter at the entrance. Right there, crouched over the space Yoojin had just been sitting, is one of the feathery flying monsters, peering intently through the glass.
“It’s not attacking us,” someone else whispers. “Maybe if we all stay quiet and still, it’ll go away?”
The creature doesn’t move, and neither does anyone else in the room. Yoojin’s eyes catch on a series of scratches down the creature’s flank, like something had turned a set of sharp claws against it. Like… like another one of those flying creatures.
[Current targets: Agile Devil Pterosaur (C-Rank)], the blue window had said when he’d clicked on the monster tamer title. Maybe that would explain why the first dinosaur that had attacked them had turned on its own kind? Maybe it was something Yoojin did? Is this what the taming skill does?
Without thinking, Yoojin takes a step forward and has his wrist caught by Lee Soojin before he can move any farther. “What are you doing?!” she hisses, eyes wide in fear. “Stay here!”
“I think it’ll be okay,” he reassures, and curses himself for the hesitation that’s audible in his voice. “I… I think it’s here for me.”
“What does that mean?” she demands. Yoojin tugs on her grip until she lets him go, and she curses. “Yoojin, you’re not allowed to sacrifice yourself for us or whatever harebrained scheme you’ve got cooked up! It’ll just come after us next!”
Yoojin breathes out a laugh. “Don’t worry, I don’t think that’s what will happen.” And then, before he meets any other resistance, he strides to the door and slips outside.
It’s loud. Much louder than what he was able to hear inside the bank, and he’d barely been able to ignore it while he was in there. There’s a flying dinosaur creature perched on a car not far from where he’s standing, too far for it to notice him stepping outside but easily within swooping distance. He gulps.
The flying creature—Agile Devil Pterosaur, or whatever it’s called—stays shockingly docile as he closes the door behind him and they both size each other up. It cocks its head when Yoojin fails to do anything other than stare at it, and lets out one of those clicky chirp-purrs.
“Hi.” Yoojin’s voice cracks in the middle of the word and he has to cough awkwardly. “You… Do you understand me?” It clicks its teeth together at that, which would be encouraging if it weren’t so threatening. “Right…”
As if sensing his hesitation, the pterosaur slowly bows forward until it fits the tip of its beak under Yoojin’s hand. This time, the purr is more pronounced, and in combination with the gesture and the way Yoojin can spot its tail wagging slowly back and forth, he has a fairly good idea of what it means.
Oh god, he thinks faintly, I have a pet dinosaur?
“Okay,” he says, because there’s no amount of time in the world that would allow him to process all of this. “Okay.” Just—just pretend that it’s a dog. It’s a huge, feathery, murderous dog. Oh god.
The ground rumbles alarmingly, and Yoojin is forced to throw his arms forward for balance, inadvertently caught by the hulking form of the pterosaur. Further down the street, what looks to be a gigantic tree has split the road in two, cracking the pavement and throwing the sea of abandoned cars into disarray. When he looks more closely, there are people struggling in the branches, temporarily out of reach from the swarm of pterosaurs around the tree’s base but soon to be in danger once they figure it out.
Yoojin looks consideringly at his—his tamed monster? His pet? It looks back at him patiently, feathered tail snaking back and forth, and Yoojin makes a decision. “Let’s do this.”
He whistles, and the pterosaur visibly straightens to attention. “Let’s start by rescuing those people, okay?” He points at the people still clinging to the branches of the tree desperately. “Bring them back here when you’re done. Be gentle!”
The pterosaur lets out a shrill cry and takes off in the direction of the tree. Yoojin takes a moment to scan the street, looking for others that could use help. He doesn’t know what his stats mean, but until he can figure it out, he’ll be treating himself as the same squishy human he’s always been.
There’s a man to his right who’s punching the creatures with a speed and strength that can’t possibly be human, fist glowing red when he pauses to take a rest. There’s a teenager further down the street who weaves impossibly fast between the mess of wreckage around them, light and graceful on her feet as she escorts people to safety.
That’s who I can be, Yoojin thinks determinedly, and squares his shoulder as he spots the first two rescues dangling in the feet of his pterosaur, winging towards him slowly.
Come on, Han Yoojin. Let’s help people.

Help I’m desperate for Lea and I apologize for the link spam this morning AAAAAAA. I’m like foaming at the mouth I love Lea so much and the way they interact with the hunter (playing a stoic, altruistic, shy, conflict-avoidant, and secretly soft hunter) makes me scream
I um… would love to know Lea’s POV or thoughts about the Duncan conflict if the hunter let him rip off their hood and hesitates before bowing to Duncan to try and keep Lea safe behind them??
Sorry if that’s a lot to ask and obviously no pressure I just,,, thought I’d peek in and get it off my chest to send in an ask
for you, and the dozens of other people that have asked me for this scene from Lea's pov over the years~
A hush falls over the parlor, a loud ringing in Lea's ears at the sudden silence.
An older man stands, wearing posh, silver armor, emblazoned with the king's swooping hawk, layered over a dark red tunic and embellished with silver studs and gold feathers - there is only one person this man can be. He has a group of soldiers with him, wearing the same silver and red, and those ugly molded masks.
"Lord Duncan," Merry says, her hands on her hips as she takes a few steps forward, her voice the only sound to break the silence.
Lea quickly stands from the table, and the hunter does the same, glancing back at Lea for a moment before eyeing the creeping soldiers as they move through the tables and across the parlor.
"What a wonderful surprise to have you here, Duncan-" Merry starts, but she's cut off by a sharp look.
"Lord Duncan," he says, his voice hard.
Merry's face twitches.
Duncan turns to Lea and the hunter expectantly then.
Lea does their best to keep their face wholly neutral, their jaw set as they stare right back at Duncan. The hunter does much of the same, both standing rigid in front of the warden as he glances between them. His hand is on his sword, and Lea doesn't miss the way his fingers flex around the hilt, the slight curling of his lip as he stares on in distaste.
Lea knows he expects a bow, but that simply isn't how things are done here in the north. And Lea is happy to remind Duncan of that fact, especially after what they've heard about the man today.
Neither Lea nor the hunter move.
"Is there a reason you've brought your little dogs into my establishment, Warden?" Merry cuts in then.
"I heard we had visitors. Very rude of you to keep them from me," Lord Duncan says slowly, turning away from Lea to slowly appraise their partner. "And a hunter, no less."
Lord Duncan suddenly steps towards them, reaching for their hood, and Lea bites hard on the inside of their cheek, resisting the urge to grab his wrist and shove him back.
The hunter quickly steps away, wordlessly dodging his outstretched hand, and Lea can just see the flash of their eyes beneath their hood, glaring out of the shadows at Duncan.
He clicks his tongue, disappointed as he pulls his hand back.
"No need to be shy," he muses.
Lea feels their expression flicker, but thankfully Duncan is too focused on the hunter to notice. Lea runs a hand over their hair, clearing their throat and stepping between them, forcing Duncan's attention as well as forcing him back a few feet.
"Introductions?" Lea prompts, tilting their head towards the warden.
"My name is Lea Chen. This is Hunter Karstark. We only just arrived early this morning, and unfortunately had a few things to handle in the city. A shame we haven't crossed paths earlier. I've heard many good things," Lea continues, forcing a warm smile for Lord Duncan.
There's a bitter taste in their mouth.
"The market here is impressive - the town seems to have completely recovered under your leadership," Lea adds, nodding at him. "It's admirable." Lea's voice is tight, but their mask doesn't slip, even as Duncan's demeanor shifts slightly, a slight upward curve of his lips.
He glances between Lea and the hunter, and then looks to Merry.
"How about a room, Captain? To talk to our guests, in private," he says, sticking his nose up at the rest of the parlor.
Lea shakes their head, glancing over at Merry. They don't want to be in a room alone with this man.
But Merry doesn't notice, just waving everyone over to the stairs. The clank of armor punctuates each step, and Lea glances over at the hunter, a shared unease rising between them. Lea looks back at the parlor one last time before climbing up the stairs, their hand instinctively going to their hip, though they're unarmed right now.
Probably for the best.
Merry leads the group across the mezzanine at the top of the stairs and down the hallway, towards a back room tucked along the far wall of the tavern. She raises her hand and wraps her knuckles once, twice, three times, and when no response comes she digs a ring of keys from her pocket and unlocks the door, throwing it open and stepping inside.
Lea lets the hunter step in first, giving them a brief reprieve from the soldiers right on their heels.
Lea follows after them and Merry, joining them on one side of the room, while Duncan and his soldiers line up on the other. Lea glares over at the soldiers and their silver masks, eyeing the swords strapped to their belts.
Lea doesn't like this, a slight tremble in their hands as their adrenaline spikes, the last soldier stepping in and shutting the door with a soft click.
Duncan lets everyone stand in an uncomfortable silence for a few seconds, and Lea can't help but notice how he relishes it, picking at some nonexistent dust on his armor while the hunter squirms beside them. Lea glances over at them, but they're hiding in their hood, unable to see them in their peripheral.
"You can leave us," Duncan says then, stepping aside so Merry can reach the door. She gives him a long, hard look.
"No. I think I'd rather stay," she says.
"I wasn't asking," Duncan snaps back, curling his lip.
Lea tenses, and Merry remains unmoving, her hands on her hips. The hunter sinks farther back in their hood.
Duncan sighs, glancing to one of his soldiers and waving his hand. They respond immediately, striding across the room and grabbing Merry by her elbow, hauling her forward.
Merry rips her arm from the soldier's grip, but they're undeterred, grabbing her again and twisting her arm this time, forcing her to turn around and face Duncan.
"Don't fucking touch me," Merry snarls, once again jerking free, "I'm fucking going!"
Lea takes a step forward, though they're not sure what it is exactly they're planning on doing, here. The soldiers don't notice, too occupied with glaring at the hunter or leering at Merry, but Duncan shoots them a curious look, raising an eyebrow, and Lea glares back at him, which just makes him smile.
Merry steps away from the soldier then, holding her hands up, and if looks could kill, Duncan would drop dead in that moment. Instead, his smile just widens, watching as Merry steps out the door, slamming it closed behind her.
An awkward silence passes before Duncan speaks again, nothing but the sound of grinding metal as the soldiers shift on their feet.
"So. Tell me, Handler Chen, what brings you and your hunter to my city?" he says, crossing his arms and eyeing them both across the room.
"We are just passing through, my lord," Lea says simply, and the title almost makes Lea gag.
"And your destination?" he prompts.
"The mountains, near Skala. We received some reports of a weak spot in the Vel. A wraith lurking around," Lea says. They do their best not to look to the hunter, coming up with the lie on the spot, but Lea knows they're smart enough to play along.
"Is that right?" Duncan muses, turning to the hunter then. "Do you have anything to say about that?" he asks.
Lea tenses again, Duncan's eyes flashing as he glances at them before looking back to the hunter expectantly.
The hunter just shrugs. Lea quickly wipes at their mouth in an attempt to hide their smirk.
Duncan lets out a long sigh.
"I see," he says.
"It's unfortunate Captain Harlowe got to you first," he starts. "You should be more careful about the company you keep." He adjusts the collar of his tunic. "A pirate? A criminal - is that the kind of people the Order is doing business with these days?"
Lea shifts, crossing their arms, but they keep their mouth shut, refusing to fall for the bait. They'll give Merry a piece of their mind later. Right now, Lea and the captain are a united front, and they're not going to turn on her for Duncan.
The hunter glances at them, but they remain silent, even as Duncan's glare hardens. He clicks his tongue again at the lack of response, irritation flashing across his face.
"So, from what I understand, you've had quite the day, today," he says then, holding his hands behind his back. "I heard you are quite the gossip. Asking a lot of questions, none of which I believe had anything to do with wraiths, or the Vel," he says, his gaze sliding from between Lea and the hunter, smiling coolly.
He moves farther into the room then, clearing his throat before he stops right in front of them. "Make no mistake. I allowed you to do the things you did. Don't let Captain Harlowe fool you. I am the final authority here, not her." His cold eyes flick between the two. "My hospitality is not unconditional."
"Of course, my lord," Lea says then, uncrossing their arms and giving Duncan a mirthless smile.
Lea isn't playing this game anymore. It's clear he knows that they're lying - there's no point in playing pretend. If Lea is going to be honest about anything, it will be about their feelings towards the man.
Feelings of disgust and contempt.
"I'm glad we understand each other," Duncan says then, though he turns to the hunter as he says it, making Lea's hands twitch at their sides.
"Now. Unfortunately, I need you out of my city. The two of you, the way you're running around, you're scaring my people," he says, still looking at the hunter.
Lea can't help themself, and they scoff, shaking their head at Duncan.
Duncan quickly turns to them, wrinkling his nose. "What's funny, Handler Chen?"
The soldiers shift around the room, their hands on their swords, and Lea's eyes flash, stepping close to the hunter as they leer at Duncan.
"These aren't your people, Lord Duncan," Lea says, a bite in their voice. "Don't insult us by pretending otherwise."
Duncan considers Lea for a painfully long moment. Then he takes a few steps back, closing rank with his soldiers. "I want you gone by noon tomorrow. You two, and the captain. If you are still in this city tomorrow afternoon, you will receive no mercy from me," he growls, his voice deadly. He moves towards the door now, but doesn't reach for the doorknob – instead he bangs his fist against the door twice. It opens, and two more soldiers step in.
At the sight of their flashy armor, the hunter shifts instinctively in front of Lea, their hand reaching for their hunter's knife.
Lea takes a deep breath, their own hands hovering in front of them, reaching half-way for the hunter's cloak - but they stop short, pulling their hand back and letting it curl into a fist at their side. Lea knows what comes next in situations like this, with men like Duncan. It's better not to show him what will hurt. Grabbing the hunter would give Duncan too many ideas.
"I wouldn't," Duncan is saying, smiling at the hunter. They reluctantly drop their hand, leaving their knife in its sheath.
"Take off your hood," he says suddenly, as the door closes again behind him.
Lea feels their lip curl, but the hunter obeys, reaching up and pulling their hood off.
There's no reason for this - except for Duncan to make himself feel good. In another place, in another time, Lea would run a man like Duncan through with their sword. That would make them feel good.
"That wasn't so hard, was it?" Duncan smiles, taking a step towards the hunter. He reaches down and pulls a knife from his belt, twirling it for a moment in his hand, watching the light glint off the blade. The hunter tenses in front of Lea, but holds their ground as he comes around the bed. The soldiers follow him, three of them coming towards them, the other two going towards Lea.
"This isn't necessary," Lea snarls, and they know immediately they slipped up with how pleased Duncan is with that outburst, giving him exactly what he wanted, his eyes widening as he glances between Lea and the hunter. One of the soldiers draws their sword, pressing the blade against Lea's back, and they scowl, swallowing loudly as the other soldiers converge around the hunter.
"Now," Lord Duncan says as he casually flips the knife in his hand, "Bow."
Lea doesn't move, but the hunter hesitates, glancing back at them, their gold eyes flashing.
They turn back to Duncan, and Lea can just watch as they slowly, slowly begin to bow.
Lea says their name, takes a step towards them, but the sword in their back bites through their shirt, and Lea stops. But when the soldiers hovering around the hunter shove them down to their knees, Lea tries again, only to be restrained, grimacing at that blade pricking the small of their back, a hot trickle of blood making them recoil.
They say their name again, struggling in vain.
The hunter doesn't look back at them this time, keeping their gaze on Lord Duncan.
"All the way down," he says.
"Stop it!" Lea shouts, but it falls on deaf ears as the soldiers manhandle the hunter, grabbing their neck and slamming their face against the floor. They pin their arms behind them, and one of the soldiers presses their knee against their back, trapping them beneath their weight.
Lea thrashes violently, jerking in the soldiers' grasp as that sword cuts at them again.
The hunter blinks up at them, their eyes wide, and Lea bares their teeth at Duncan as he moves in front of them.
Duncan tilts his head, glancing back at the hunter on the floor. He smirks at the twisted expression on Lea's face, and Lea only stops themself from lunging at him for the sake of the hunter.
They never should have let Duncan get them alone in this room. Trying to play nice, and for what? For the hunter to get beaten to the floor. For Duncan to flex his power.
Lea snarls at Lord Duncan as the soldiers force them to their knees. The movement jars the cut in their back, and they gasp, their body contorting in pain. Lea looks to the hunter then, shaking their head - just let them do this. It will be over soon.
It will be over soon, and I'm sorry.
The soldiers push Lea all the way to the floor, and they try to keep the hunter looking at them, saying their name, but they can see that the panic has seized them, and Lea continues to struggle as the hunter thrashes on the floor.
Duncan laughs at them.
"Look at me," Lea says, but the hunter isn't listening - the hunter isn't in the room with them anymore.
They convulse against the floor, and manage to throw off one of the soldiers and wrench themselves free, scrambling across the floor as they try to get away.
It's hard for Lea to watch.
Duncan puts an end to it, though, stepping forward and kicking them in the face.
Lea has to close their eyes then. Focus on their breathing.
Duncan whispers something to the hunter, his foot on their chest, and after a moment he steps back with a nod, the soldiers abruptly releasing Lea. They quickly force themself back onto their feet, breathing heavy, glaring at Duncan and imagining all the ways they would hurt him for this.
Duncan pauses, glancing back to the hunter on the floor, his soldiers once again surrounding him. "Noon tomorrow," is all he says, and then he steps out the door.
As soon as the door is closed, Lea rushes over to the hunter, dropping to their knees in front of them. They put what they hope is a comforting hand on their shoulder, saying their name, trying to bring them back.
The hunter closes their eyes, and Lea lets out a shaky breath.
They should have just kept their mouth closed. They should have just done what he asked.
Lea wants to apologize, but it doesn't feel like it would be enough.
They just whisper their name again, and the hunter opens their eyes. Lea leans over them, reaching to take their face in their hands - but all they manage is the ghost of a touch, their palm barely brushing the hunter's cheek before the guilt forces them to pull away.
The hunter slumps back against the wall, bowing their head, and Lea wonders what would happen if they tried to hold them.
"Don't - don't try to get up yet," they stammer, pushing the thought from their mind.
"I'm fine," the hunter says, just like always.
"Yeah. I know," Lea sighs, and the hunter lifts their gaze then to look at them.
"You're bleeding," they say.
"Yeah, I know," Lea repeats. The hunter scoffs, glancing sideways, and they push Lea's hand away and try to stand.
"I just said-" Lea starts, jumping to their feet to steady them, clicking their tongue and grabbing at their arm.
Lea is holding them too tight, they know it, they can see it in the way their knuckles strain white, can feel it in the rush of heat beneath their palm, the hunter hot and shaking from being pinned to the floor.
Lea is reluctant to let them go, though - not because they think they'll fall, but because Lea is afraid that they themself will.
But when the doorknob starts to turn, Lea doesn't hesitate this time - there's no way to hide anymore, Lea's weakness clearly exposed in the hunter's shaking hands. They quickly pull the hunter back behind them, glaring over at the door, though they relax slightly at the familiar, friendly faces.
But they keep the hunter behind them, this time.

I’m curious, whats the relationship between your lawyer!hyj and stw?
I feel like they’d get on great. They have their little coffee dates to trash talk SHJ and complain about the association. HYJ regularly calls him up like “I need you to stand around intimidating while I tell people they can’t force others into contracts and that they better get rid of them now :)”
STW thinks HYJ is in desperate need of protection. Probably also aware HJY keeps looking at him like “could be a hunter…. Could be the replacement for the director” like I think HYJ has many more opinions on how guilds work and so on.
I feel like it would be additionally funny if HYJ became Yerim’s guardian because he knows the ins and outs of how awakened kids are treated and STW is just say there like “that is not a child that is a nuclear bomb. You already have one of those regularly threatening you (read: Yoohyun throwing a tantrum over Yoojin not being within reach)”
but HYJ does not care.
So TLDR I think they’re much closer than in canon and generally on the same side but STW is very much more aware that HYJ is ready to manipulate mansplain manwhore manslaughter him

Nobody enjoys being bored, in fact, you personally believe boredom is the universe's way of punishing you, but Robin, the poor girl, seems to have it worse. You’re both on her bed, Robin’s head hanging off the side as you try to brainstorm things to do.
Although being with her is never a bore, there’s only so much you can do when you’re stuck inside due to a heatwave. Something about boredom seems to make Robin even more jittery, the energy not spent building up inside her until they come out in the little tremors in her hand as she tries to write down her ideas or pull herself back onto the bed.
“A movie,” she says suddenly.
“The movies are closed, something about the kids messing with the films.”
“We can watch one here, can’t we? You still have that tape?”
And that’s how you find your body pressed against hers, her eyes glued on the screen as you study her freckled face, aiming to memorize the location of each one. There’s a more prominent one on the bridge of her nose, disappearing for just a moment as her nose scrunched in reaction to the movie.
“What’s wrong?”
You clear your throat.
“We’re missing snacks, d’you want popcorn?” She nods and you peel yourself from under her covers, the skin of your thighs slightly sticky from the perspiration. You return a few minutes later, two bowls of popcorn in your hands. To your surprise, the end credits rolled on the screen as you walk in.
“I have an idea,” The bed shifts under your weight and Robin shuffles over, just a bit, to give you space, “Why don’t we use the popcorn for a game?”
“I’m not sure I like where this is going.”
“We toss it into each others’ mouth and if we catch it, it’s a point.”
“What’s the prize?”
“My eternal love for you?”
“‘Kay, but it isn’t my fault if you choke alright?” You hum in approval and she pushes herself to the foot of the bed, a bowl in her hands.
“Ready?” you nod. She tosses one and it lands just below your feet. Another and it goes over your head. The third is close, touching your cheek before it falls to the ground. You finally catch the fourth, the butter of the popcorn melting on your tongue as you close your mouth around it.
“Your turn,” she smiles, and for a moment that’s all you think about. The simplicity and comfort of the situation despite your circumstances knowing that you’d dwell on this memory for years to come.

A maxi dress? A jacket? Tamaranean boots? Yeah, the boys dressed her. (fun thought that damian bases women fashion to his mother but him and jon both think it was a bad idea. Talia looks great btw)
Back in 2019 I added Mar'i to the supersons daughter and kinda forgot about them until one train of thought. Wish I could show you some old sketches but they're way back home and I'm here.

Jon and Damian's character sheet will be up when I actually get started on them hahaha... school...

bread: in middle school I was the shy and smart quiet girl sat in the back, to the point teachers would ask out of nowhere if I was in class. There was a classmate sat next to me who was talking to his friend about him texting a girl from another class. Out of nowhere I asked him if he had a crush on a friend of the girl he was texting to. I don't know what came over me or why I asked (he texts to girl X and I ask him if he likes girl Y as if it makes any sense), when I just was aware he knew that girl and they were sort of friends. But he looked at me shocked and thought another classmate told me about his crush on this girl. He could have denied it and I would have believed him.
robin. hands down, it's gotta be robin.

Mini Fanfic #1173: A Long Awaited Explanation (SSBU X Fire Emblem)
12:56 p.m. at the Smash Mansion's Outdoor Patio.........
Robin: (Sitting Next to Lucina and his Son on a Wopden Bench Together) So you Severa, and Ingio have been playing the roles of retainers to Nohrian side of Kamui's family with your identities getting altered in the process.
Lucina: And this all started because a man in a cloak asked you for help?
Owain: (Simply Nodded) Precisely. We spotted him following us on that night, bending into the shadows unnoticed. Once we finally met face to face, he told us his "situation" and plead for our help. We were hesitant at first, or- rather.....Severa and Ingio were the ones the most hesitant about it if anything. (Smiles Sheepishly While Rubbing the Back of his Head Back and Forth) I....might or might not have let my nativity get the better of me at the moment and convinced them to help him out.
Robin: ('Sigh') Of course you did.
Lucina: (Gives Owain a Deadpinned Look on her Face) We really need to teach you to stop taking requests from random strangers one of these days.
Owain: (Comically Glares at the Duo) Do you two take me as a child or something!?
Robin: (Simply Shrugs) Well, you are my troublemaking son after all.
Lucina: I'm still older than you, so yes.
Owain: BY A FEW MONTHS MAYBE!!.
Lucina: (Crosses her Arms Reminising on the Past) Honestly, I couldn't even begin to tell you how many times I got you out of trouble over the years......
Owain: AREN'T YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME RIGHT NOW!!?
Robin: (Gives His Son a Fatherly Glare) Owain, don't yell at your older cousin. It's rude.
Lucina: (Playfully Sticks jer Tongue Out at Owain)
Owain: OH FORGET I ASKED!! ('Sighs Heavily') Anyways!.....After we accepted the request, the cloaked man telephoned us to Valla, altered our identities and off to Nohrian Empire we went. The experience itself wasn't too shabby. Newer bonds have been formed, done a few erra-I mean quests here and there, faced various types of monsters and evil forces, sat back in the sidelines as we watch two the nations set aside their differences and reluctantly work together as Kaumi lead us to victory. It was a decent time all around, except for all the near death experiences that transpired during our journey. But after we slayed King Garon, who turned out to be an evil tyrant surprise-surprise, we then found out that the man in cloaked just so happens to be an even more diabolical entity who wants to kill Kamui for....personal reasons I believe? I don't quite remember. I'm just more relieved to never fave him again.....
Lucina: Was he difficult was defeat?
Owain: ('Heh') Difficult? He was a god-forsaken NIGHTMARE to put down if anything! But I digress. Because after that was dealt with, Nohr and Hosido has finally formed strong, unbreakable alliance on that day and peace has been bestowed on both lands ever since. After the war has concluded, our trioic adventures has come to a close as both Severa and Ingio decided to remain in Nohr while embarked on more solo journey.
Lucina: (Eyes Widened a Bit in Genuine Surprise) They have?
Robin: What were their reasons for wanting to stay if they don't mind asking.
Owain: Well, remember when I say that newer bonds has been formed during our time at Nohr? Well, the bonds those two made has formed to formidable sisterhood on one end and a cherishable romance on the other. Severa became the co-founder and leader of a band of highly skilled Wyvern Riders known as the Wyvern Regade, and Ingio- (Chuckles Lightly) I swear, if anyone were to tell me that Prince of all Twinkle Toes abd Skirt Chasing has retired his flirty ways and finally settled down into a committed relationship, I would call that biggest blasphemy of the century!
Robin: (Chuckles Lightly) Is that right? Who's the lucky gal or guy?
Owain: Make that the lucky gal AND guy, because no only he is dating his fellow retainer but he's also dating the elder prince of all of Nohr as well! Who I must add has now taken the title of becoming king.
Robin: (Smiles Brightly) Nice! I hope they're doing well nowadays.
Owain: I do as well. They seemed really happy with one another the last I saw them together. And Severa too. It makes me so happy to know that she's getting the recognition she remarkably deserves.
Lucina: So they've moved on already.
Owain turns to his cousin who looked saddened at the thought of one of her closest companions and her younger brother in another kingdom, living their own lives. This, in turn, causes him to frown as well.
Owain: (Takes a Deep Breath Before Speaking) I'm sorry, cousin. The choice to stay weren't easy ones for either of them to make on that day. But I can guarantee you 100% that those two missed and thought about you every single day.
Lucina: I know. I missed them too. Everyday of my life.....('Sigh') But above all else.....(Gives Owain a Small, Yet Sincere Smile on her Face) I'm just blessed to know that they're still alive and happy.
Owain: You are? Truly?
Lucina: (Happily Nodded) Yes, truly. We've all been through hell and back to save to our families' timeline from complete chaos. So I believe it's only right to let them the lives they've set for themselves going forward. Besides, I plan on visiting them one of these days in the near future once I know how to use the Dimensional Rings properly.
Owain: (Eyes Begins to Widened a Bit) The Dimensional Rings? (Turns to Lucina) Question: Is it a golden ring? The kinda of ring that is giant sized?
Lucina: Whenever its used, yes.
Robin: Why?
Owain: Because I believe that might be the same ring that brought me into this place to begin with.
Lucina: Seriously?
Robin: Did you see anyone around using it by any chance?
Owain: I can't say that i have I'm afraid.....The ring itself just appeared out of nowhere when I first saw it in the desert. (Crosses his Arms) The thought it's existence has hardly ever crossed my mind up until now. Not even when I took long nap on the sidewalks.
Lucina: (Eyes Widened in Complete Shock) You WHAT!?
Robin: (Webt Back to Glaring at his Son) Owain, those sidewalks get colder in time of year! You could've gotten your sick!
Lucina: How long did you slept there!?
Owain: (Starts Rubbing The Back of his Head Again) Well.... Considering how long i was transported to the beach and how far I've walked towards the town, I'd say it was.....approximately aboooout..... Few....hours or so? (Forms an Awkward Grin on his Face)
Lucina: A FEW HOURS- (Holds Up her Hand While Pinching her Nose and Letting Out a Heavy Sigh) Owain Everfield Yliston.
Owain: I.....don't think that's my middle name-
Lucina: HUSH! (Angrily Points at her Dear Cousin) If I find out that you've been in roaming around this town in this cold temperature, on an empty stomach SO HELP ME-
Owain: Cousin, cousin, please! Calm yourself. Despite the turn of events that aspired as of late, I can assure you and father that I am perfectly well and long past fed.
????: He's not wrong, you know?
The trio turns to see Dark Pit and his two girlfriends, Misako and Kyoko, standing in front of the patio's doorway.
Dark Pit: We treated him to lunch after we woke him up from his sidewalk nap.
Misako: He even convinced us to take on the Big Bang Burger Challenge for the fourth time. Failed again by the way.
Kyoko: (Happily Holds Up her Shopping Bags Close to her Face) Not to mention all the shopping we did thanks to the money he provided!~ ('Squeals Happily') I'm so loving this New Year so far!~
Misako: (Casually Shrugs) Eh. It's whatever. (Forks a Small Smirk on her Face) Still had a good time today though.
Dark Pit: Same here. You weren't bad company today, Odin. (Forms a Teasing Smirk on his Face) Or should I call you...."Owain Everlast Yliston".
Owain: (Eyes Widened in Disbelief).......H-How-
Misako: We heard everything from inside.
Kyoko: Love your real name by the way~
Misako: Suits you a whole lot better than your fake one.
Owain: (Let's Out a Loud Gasps Before Glaring at the Trioic Couple) Excuse YOU!? I'll have you know that the "fake" name is based around one of most powerful gods in all of mythology! And it is far more superior than my bland, boring actually name.
Lucina: Owain, your mother gave you that name when you were born.
Owain: W-Well, yeah, but-
Robin: ('Sigh') She would always tell me how much she adores that name of yours. As do I......
Owain: (Rolls his Eyes) Father, I know that, but-
Lucina: Honestly. I cannot imagine the look on my poor Auntie's face when she finds out that you find your name dull or boring.
Owain: (Angrily Points at his Cousin) You will do no such thing!-
Dark Pit: Hey, make sure you send us a video whenever you do tell her. Kinda wanna see how this soap opera plays out-
Owain: ('Groans in Pure Annoyance and Defeat') ENOUGH ALREADY! Mother doesn't need to know about all this! (Points at the Dark Angel) And I certainly don't need to be taunted by the likes of you!
Dark Pit: Yeah, well, now that you're gonna be living here for now on, you could bet your dramatic ass thar I'll mess with you every chance I get.
?????: PITTO! NO. CUSSING!
Dark Pit: Oh. Right. (Walks Over to the Door) A few people want to talk to you by the way.
Pitto opens the door wide, revealing Peach amd the rest of the ladies (and Lea) as they all fall down on the ground together.
'Thud'
Peach: ('Sigh') Oh geez....(Turns to the Others Behind) Is everyone okay back there?
The Others: Yeah..../Mmth/We're good/
Lea: My hair isn't!
Aqua: We'll fix your hair later, Lea.
Peach: (Gets Herself Up From the Ground Before Clearing her Throat and Forming a Very Welcoming Smile on her Face) Salutations, my dear~ My name is Princess Peach and-
Owain: (Eyes Widened Once More) Princess? (Quickly Bows himself Down to Peach and the Others) P-Please excuse and forgive me for my intrusion here, your majesty! I had no idea you lived here, honest!
Peach: (Smiles Sheepishly) Come now, dear. There's no need for you to bow and apologize. It's okay.
Owain: (Slowly But Surely Stands Back Up) Are you certain? Like absolutely so?
Peach: (Giggles Softly) Yes, absolutely~
Palutena: (Smiles Brightly) Yeah, you don't need to worry about Momma Peach. She won't bite.
Samus: Unless you provoke her that is.
Peach: (Turns Back to the Bounty Hunter) Sammy!
Samus: What? I'm not entirely wrong, am I?
Bayonetta: You can be a scary princess sometimes, my dear.
Peach: (Sighs While Rolling her Eyes) I know that! I just don't wanna scare him off! Just let me do all the talking, okay?
Samus: (Shrugs) Whatever you say, boss.
Peach: (Turns Back to Owain) Now, Owain, Odin or umm-
Owain: Just Owain is fine, ma'am. (Rolling his Eyes Again) It is my birth name after all.
Peach: It's a wonderful birth name, dear.
Kyoko: Told you!~
Peach: Anyways, Pitto has told us some much about you minutes ago and nothing would make our day bright more than to have you stay and be a part of this family.
Owain: (Eyes Slowly Begins to Widened Yet Again in Genuine Surprise) You.....all considered me a part of this family of yours?
Daisy: (Smiles Brightly) Heck yeah!~ You seem like pretty nice kid all around. You'd fit right in.
Rosalina: (Smiles Softly) Plus, being here would give you an honest chance to reconnect with your father and cousin going forward.
Robin: (Places his Habd onto his Son's Shoulder, Giving him a Smile of his Own) And I am more than willing to make up for loss times, my son.
Lucina: (Gives Owain a Very Loving Hug) As will I. Owain, I know we've gotten the wrong foot earlier, but words are not enough to express how much you mean to to us or even how......ecstatic and blessed I truly am to finally see you again after all this time. So please......Would you stay here and be a part of our ever growing family?
Owain: (Stares Deep into Lucina's Eyes For a Brief Second Before Tears Starts Falling Down From his Eyes) Yes.....('Sniff') Yes, of course! (Happily Pulls Lucina and Robin into a Group Hug) I would be more than honored to be a part of this wonderful family!~ I love you two so much.
Lucina: (Tears Starts Falling Down From her as Well) ('Sniff') We love you too, cousin.
Robin: (Happily Hugs Her Son and Niece Back) Welcome to the Smash Family.
Moms: AWWWWWWWWWWW!~
Lea: (Starts Tearing Up as Well) Great. ('Sniff') The water works is about to get in.......
Samus: (Tearing Up Along with the Rest of the Ladies) You and me both, man. ('Sniff') This is so beautiful.....
Peach: There's only one way to distinguish these watery emotions, ladies!~
Moms: GROUP HUGS!~ (Gather Around and Joins on the Hugfesr)
Dark Pit: Yeah, you all have fun with that. (Starts Making his Way to the Door) If anyone needs me, I'll be in lounging around in the-
Misako: Get your ass over here! (Yanks Pitto Over to the Group by the Collar)
Kyoko: Now, mister!~
With the trio included, the heartwarming hug fest is now in completion. Life wasn't easy for the dramtic young man in blonde: from witnessing his love ones perish, risking his own life against all odds and fight for a better outcome, to parting ways from his older companions after the war was set and done.
It was a very long road ahead for him to endure alone indeed. But even with all that in mind, Owain Everlast Yliston believes that this town is one place....he can finally call his new home.

Also a little stranger things headcanon for you: Steve likes to sit on Robin's lap♡
That's it, that's the headcanon
You are so correct, he absolutely does.
I imagine it starts kind of accidentally, like they're going somwhere but there's only one seat left. Naturally Steve offers Robin to sit on his lap but she refuses. They argue a little bit (/aff) until Robin tells Steve to just sit on her lap and he's like "fine" and sits down in her lap. I assume he hasn't sat on someone's lap since he was a child, and at first he's a bit grumpy, because he's a Man, but eventually he finds that it's quite comfy. Robin isn't complaining either, putting her arms around his middle and her chin on his shoulder and he leans back into her.
Next time they encounter a single chair for their two butts there's no arguing, Robin just sits down, pats her lap, Steve gets comfy. And then it also happens when they could sit in different seats but just decide not to, like Robin is sitting somewhere with someone, Steve joins them and just sits down in her lap and Robin adjusts her position so that it's more comfy for both of them, no comments. It becomes very natural.
Robin's lap quickly becomes free real estate for Steve.
Great headcanon, thank you!! Forehead kisses for you!! 😘😘😘
send me asks with headcanons and you'll get forehead kisses in return
