Hala in the DND setting and an NPC named Cordelia with their Rhibombee partner. Hala's going trick or treating with their main crew in the first picture. All the pokemon before Cordelia (Red hair) are Hala's. Cottonee- Rostram - Eisa - Anis and the two plushie pokemon are.... currently technically part of her roster but... haven;t introduced them yet. They were brought to life by Fae magic. Cordelia is a gardener focused on hydroponics and they manage a ruins in the nearby mountain in the town they live in. They talk to Pokemon and like Hala have a love for fairy types.

✨giving the strawhats pokemon✨
bc i’ve been thinking about this FORVER and no one makes them 🤧
fair warning: im only on ep 163 so~ im sorry if some things aren’t completely in tune as a lot of this is going off snippets of clips i've seen
☠️Monkey D. Luffy☠️
1. Kingler 2. Morpeko 3. Swalot 4. Shiny Goodra 5. Solrock 6. Jirachi
{Luffy has a full team bc he’s the captain, Goodra was a gift from Shanks as a Goomy, and he’s had Morpeko the longest. Solrock is bc of Sun God Nika}
⚔️Roronoa Zoro⚔️
1. Bisharp 2. Honedge and Honedge 3. Aegislash 4. Houndoom
{Zoro has two Honedge’s bc of his iconic three sword style and Aegislash used to belong to Kuina + he’s had Bisharp since it was a Pawniard and since he was little himself}
🧭Nami🧭
1. Smeargle 2. Gimmighoul 3. Castform
{pretty self explanatory tbh; Smeargle to help her make maps, Gimmighoul bc she likes treasure, and Castform bc of her weather wand}
🎇Ussop🎇
1. Ditto 2. Rhibombee 3. Armarouge
{He gave Kaya a shiny Cutiefly for her birthday, the one right before he joined the StrawHats, and she gave him Charcadet as a farewell gift}
✨Sanji Vinsmoke✨
1. Shiny Luvdisc 2. Shiny Tsareena 3. Shiny Milotic 4. Shiny Scovillian 5. Shiny Exeggute
{Sanji has a full shiny team bc he’s extra like that and i can totally see him being a shiny magnet} {honorary mention: Zeff kept a Noivern and a Lickilicky at the Baratie to help with the food}
💊Tony Tony Chopper💊
1. Winter Sawsbuck 2. Audino
{Hiriluk had a Cherrim that he couldn’t get to bloom into sunshine form when he was alive and Doctorine took over care of it when it did bloom and Chopper joined the Strawhats}
✋🏽Nico Robin🤚🏽
1. Nihilego
{Robin is honestly good with all Pokémon handling but, given the limited knowledge I have of her, I struggled with choosing and opted for Nihilego bc of it's unknown status and it's tendency to mimic the sounds of a scared little girl to protect itself}
🌟Franky🌟
1. Conkeldurr 2. Silvally
{Silvally was Type:Null before Franky met Luffy and joined the Strawhats. He’s had Conkeldurr since it was a Timburr}
🎶Brooke🎶
1. Chatot 2. Low-Key Toxtricity
{He’s met Meloetta and played a duet with her on multiple occasions; however, Meloetta is Uta’s partner officially}

About
•Ajax, they/he
•Professional battler
•Lover of bug types
•From Hoenn, currently live near Fourtree
My Mons
•Current Team:
-Lucario, Loki: Loki was my starter and first Pokémon. He was a riolu back then, a surprise baby from a ditto that was brought in by some rangers. I was already volunteering at the shelter at the time (I was 14) and just fell in love with him, and he was my favorite mon there. After a few weeks of taking care of him and reading up on Riolu, I ended up adopting him and he’s been my best friend ever since.
-Sylveon, Sam: Sam was one of the first Pokémon I caught myself, and he has been on my team ever since. He was the most food motivated eevee I’ve ever met, and that hasn’t changed. He his easily bribed with pokeblocks.
-Banette, Circus: Circus was another shelter mon, but I was already an adult when I got her. She was dumped as a Shuppet and was very unhappy about it, but seemed to get along with Sam. They hadn’t been able to find a forever trainer for her and I had trained a Shuppet in the past, although I ended up passing him to a ghost-type specialist as at the time I didn’t have the space for another team member. She came home with me and I’ve never regretted it.
-Roserade, Angel: Angel is another mon I caught as a young trainer, he was a Roselia at the time. He always needs to know what’s happening and going on, and training him to stay in his ball was a challenge.
-Bisharp, Hecate: I got Hecate from another trainer I met at my first showcase battle outside Hoenn. We both had a love of Bisharp/Pawniard, and it turned out she was from a family of pokemon breeders and her Bisharp had just had some eggs. I had experience with steel types from Loki and so she contacted me when the eggs hatched and were ready to go to homes, and thus I ended up with a tiny little Pawniard.
-Talonflame, Zephyr: I caught Zephyr in Kalos while there for an event, he was a very bold little fletchling who started divebombing me in an attempt to steal my sandwich. He didn’t back off even when I called out Circus to scare him off and I was worried what would happen to him if he did this to others, so I ended up catching him. He didn’t seem to mind. He just kept gunning for the sandwich as soon as I let him out.
•Other Mons:
-Zipper the Yanma: Zipper is a super shy little thing, ont of the first bugs I ever fostered from my local shelter and I just couldn’t send him back. He likes to cling to my back or ride on my head.
-Juniper the Whirlipede: Another rescue, we don’t know how she ended up in Hoenn, but suspect she was released by a trainer. She is incredibly sweet and I had wanted a Venipede since I was a small child so I knew a lot about them, so I took her in.
-Masquerade the Lampet: Masquerade was a Litwick when I caught him in Galar, I’d been wanting another ghost type for a while and Chandelure is a mon I knew would gel well with my battle style. He is training up to join my battle team as a rotating member.
-Gale the Swellow: Gale was a Taillow someone gifted to a friend of mine who loves birds, but they failed to actually talk to her about it first so they didn’t know that she is allergic to feathers… luckily I had the space to take Gale in. My friend still visits her regularly after taking plenty of allergy meds, and they occasionally compete in Cleverness Contests together.
-Sprite the Rhibombee: Sprite latched on to me as a Cutiefly when I was in Alola for a showcase. She refused to leave and wasn’t allowed on the plane home unless she was mine, so I caught her at the airport.
-Krios the Whimsicott: Krios blew into my yard as a Cottonee, and was somewhat battered from a big storm. I am authorized to rehab some types of Pokémon including Grass so I helped get her back to full heath and she has just stuck around since. I eventually ended up officially catching her because She seemed to have no interest in leaving.
-Goomber the Goomy: I acquired Goomber as an egg because I was hoping to raise a Goodra for my team. Though not a poison type, Goomy requires similar handling and as far as dragons go are some of the more laid back and “easier” ones to raise as someone who had not raised a dragon before. However, he has ended up being…. Not the brightest bulb in the box, so he has ended up more of a housemon than a battler.
-Gummi the Wurmple: Some of you may already know how I ended up with Gummi, as I chronicled Juniper’s temporary adoption of an army of Wurmples last year. Gummi is the only one who didn’t leave.

Pokemon Professor Herlock Sholmes!
An incredibly intelligent, yet scatterbrained, Professor Herlock dabbles in many fields, although the last several years he’s been focusing on variations of Pokémon catching and Pokémon evolution. His studies have led to him crafting various kind of poke balls and doing research into the Pokémon Ranger techniques. His insight into Pokémon lead people to theorize he is a Child of Viridian but in actuality he just had a keen eye. He does not specialize in any type.
(Reasoning for each Pokémon under the readmore)
Shiny Mew: the legendary that is interested in Sholmes is a shiny mew, which was flitted around him ever since the event over a decade ago. When Iris was younger she would sometimes catch sight of the shiny mew and believes it to be a blue bunny Pokémon.
Rhibombee: Herlocks Ranger Partner, Rhibombee helps to subdue angry Pokemon
Feebas: high level although still weak as it is a feebas, herlock refuses to say whether it is him or Feebas which is holding back from an evolution. The potential that his Feebas holds, to evolve at any time, is meant to show his interest in the field of evolutions.
Wyrdeer: a new and exciting Pokémon that Herlock found and coaxed to come home with him, gentle giant that gives rides to the village kids, especially Iris
Silvally: meant to reflect my headcanon that before Mikotoba Sholmes considered his perceptive abilities to be a curse and they cause him headaches leading to him blocking out the world. The fact that his Silvally is now free to breathe the open air is an analogy to himself.
Reuncilus: grown by Herlock himself on accident, Reuncilus is attentive and helpful around the lab.
Eevee: similarly to Feebas he is intrigued by Eevee and the potential they hold for evolutions. Despite being partners for several years his eevee has yet to evolve.
Not shown is the sixth member of his team (since thi ombré is technically his ranger partner, not part of his Pokémon team) an Oricorio who was left in his care by Mikotoba before the man left to his home region.

[ WIP ] Empires, but it’s Pokemon
Had this AU stewing for quite a while!! I have many thoughts, but I don’t know what to do with them entirely.
But! I do have these pokemon teams!! Most of them, anyway. I may be able to make an entire region, but I sadly cannot make an entire dex of mons. I believe there’s a tumblr up for that regional making. I also could not do or at least list the whole teams for everyone on the bottom end, since their vibes are hard to match ( Well, Lizzie and Jimmy are easy, but I’m not listing them yet?? ) so if you want to suggest some mons for them, please do!!

Pokemon AU because why not
Arthur: he would be one of those trainers who obsessively calculates which Pokemon would best balance his team. His main companion was a Shelmet when he was a little kid, but his dad convinced him to give up his beloved Shelmet with the idea that Shelmets were too weak and that he needed something more befitting of his father's legacy. Uther wants him to focus on Fighting-Types so he can one day inherit his father's gym, but Arthur feels like restricting himself to just one type is very imbalanced and would ruin his chances of success. Growlithe is his new companion, but he always secretly keeps an eye out for Shelmets
Gwen: she would catch all the ugly and unpopular ones. When asked about her reasoning for this she says, "if i dont love them, who will?" and then cries as she hugs her Alolan Muk, which she named Sweetie Pie. Unassuming in that you think she won't be hard competition, but the next thing you know her Drowsee has knocked out three of your pokemon and you're all out of Potions
Morgana: the Dark-Type gym leader. She was supposed to take her father's place as leader for his Fight-Type gym, but she's rebellious and edgy and somehow even more competitive than Arthur. Her main companion is a Spiritomb
Merlin: a member of the Elite Four. He likes to hang around Arthur and make fun of him for having taken on the Elite Four about 17 times now, but every time he loses to Merlin. Since Arthur used to be mean to him when they were kids, Merlin considers this poetic justice. Now you probably think he's got all Dragon-Types, being a dragonlord? Nope! In this au, Merlin himself is a rare shapeshifting Dragon-Type pokemon called Emrys (doesn't exist in the canon pokedex, just thought it'd be a cool idea) that has taken the form of a human - of course, Merlin isn't aware of this and thinks he's actually human. Its for this reason that he is uncannily in-tune with his Pokemon, a factor that contributes greatly to his status as the hardest Elite Four member to beat. His team is comprised of cutesie Fairy-Types - but then all of them are heavy-hitting powerhouses. So basically not only is Arthur's Machamp getting K.O'd in one hit, but its getting K.O'd in one hit by a frickin Rhibombee. Merlin finds this absolutely hilarious. His main companion is a Psych/Fairy type called Hatterene. He sucks at naming things and usually names them after the main color of their body
Elyan: his original intention was to do all Normal-Types, but then he learned about the tragic past of how Phantumps are made (souls of lost children possessing tree stumps), and now he exclusively adopts catches Phantumps bc Protective Older Brother Mode: Activated
Gwaine: Fighting-Type. The Fighting-Type gym used to belong to his father until Uther bought it out, something that made his father so upset that he fell ill from stress and later passed away. Gwaine became a drifter, wanting nothing to do with the lifestyle that killed his dad, until he meets Merlin and Merlin teaches him the value of forming friendships with Pokemon. His companion is now a Blaziken named Weed
Lancelot: he scolds the others for being so aesthetic-based with their Pokemon bc that's bad for building a balanced team, but then when you look at his team its just all sword/knight-themed Pokemon. All of them. Except for his main companion, which is a Milotic that was a gift from Merlin
Leon: he takes the Nuzlocke approach - catch the first pokemon you encounter in each new area, let them go when they faint in battle. He has somehow managed to beat the Elite Four with just a Houndoom and an Eggsecutor
Percival: he only has one Pokemon, bc he feels like that's all he needs. He just has one sole Aron, but since he couldn't think of a name he let Gwaine do it for him (which is why its name is 69)
Gaius: another member of the Elite Four. His team is mostly Poison-Type. His main companion is a Gloom, but his Toxicroak is one tough customer. Used to be the Poison-Type gym leader, but decided to retire and gave the gym to Merlin. But then Merlin gave it to some kid named Daegal, much to Gaius's chagrin. The main reason he's so hard to beat is bc he uses so many goddamn Potions
Mordred: he's just a small child starting out on his first big adventure, with a trusty Charmander by his side. He grew up in the foster system, but he has fond memories of the Alakazam that once belonged to one of his foster parents. He hopes to catch an Alakazam as well some day, or really any Psychic-type. He also follows Arthur around like a lost puppy
Gilli: Fire-Type gym leader. His companion is a Centiskorch
Freya: Pokemon breeder with an incredibly vicious Purrloin as her companion. She's the only one the Purrloin - named Cow, for some reason - is nice to. Her dynamic with Arthur is pretty much the "it don't bite" meme
Mithian: a trainer whose father wants her to inherit his Normal-Type gym, but she ran away from home to pursue her dreams. What those dreams are tho, she's not entirely sure yet. She just knows she doesn't want to be a gym leader. Her method of battle mostly involves a lot of stat-changing/HP-draining moves that drive Arthur absolutely ballistic
Elena: doesn't keep pokemon due a traumatic incident in her childhood involving a Grimmsnarl, but makes sure to show up to all of her gf Mithian's battles for support!
Will: you bet your ass he's Arthurs rival. He saw Arthur be a jerk to Merlin when they were all kids and decided to become his sworn enemy. He doesn't stick to any particular type, just whatever he thinks looks cool. His lack of effort when it comes to balancing his team makes Arthur very, very frustrated - especially whenever Will beats him in a battle (which doesn't happen often, but enough for Will to feel properly vindicated). His main companion is a Shieldon that his dad helped him catch when he was a kid, a few months before his father died

Full Cast/To Do
I’m making this list as a reference of who was caught where and who to (eventually) make proper refs for. Sorted by the region each comes from (including Kats, and in the order he went there during his main adventures), and bold indicates they’re part of the main cast. There are MORE that who is listed in this post, but they aren’t going to appear.
I don’t currently have names for all of them, and will edit/reblog as I come up with them. Some of the non-main cast will be available for asks periodically.

Why don’t you choose to do more cocoon/chrysalis type in betweens for bug Pokémon?
I decide based on each Pokemon line’s inspiration/origin and their dex entries. For all the Bug-type Pokemon I’ve done that don’t go through a cocoon/chrysalis phase, here’s why:
Paras: based on a cicada nymph; the body never matures due to the mushrooms.
Venonat: yes, it turns into a moth, but it is based off mites, which don’t pupate.
Scyther: based on praying mantises (among other things) which don’t pupate.
Ledyba: based on ladybugs, which don’t pupate which DO pupate, but Ledyba is already an adult stage ladybug, so it wouldn’t pupate anyway.
Spinarak: based on spiders, they don’t pupate.
Yanma: based on dragonflies, they don’t pupate.
Surskit: based on water striders, which don’t pupate. Though Masquerain’s eyespots are based on moths wings (among other insects with the same gimmick), it is based on damselflies, which don’t pupate.
Nincada: based on Cicadas. They don’t pupate, but the molting process was shown for this one.
Combee: based on bees/wasps, which *do* pupate, but I liked the concept I had and it didn’t seem fitting for the line.
Anorith: based on anomalocaris/trilobites/brine shrimp; none pupate.
Kricketot: based on crickets, which don’t pupate.
Dwebble: based on hermit crabs. Why is this even bug type?
Joltik: based on ticks/spiders/tarantulas, which don’t pupate.
Shelmet: based on giant tube worms/nautilus. No pupas here.
Larvesta: based on a (Atlas) moth, which definitely pupate. I could have gone the pupa route here, but didn’t for two reasons - first, dex entries state that it “spews fire from its horns and encases itself in a cocoon of fire when it evolves.” and I thought just drawing a ball of fire would be boring for you guys, and second, because it takes so long to evolve them, I liked being able to see the change happen over time rather than in an unchanging cocoon.
Cutiefly: based on the bee fly, which *do* pupate, but Cutiefly and Rhibombee are so similar looking it felt like a pupa just wasn’t necessary.
I’m sure you noticed a trend here; almost all of these were based off of creatures that don’t pupate, so it just didn’t make sense to go there. For others, I just did what I thought made sense. I hope that helped you understand my reasons.
That said, I plan on making some pupa alternative for some of these (Venonat, Larvesta), for fun, one day.
