while i think all angels' true forms can change over time from their experiences i don’t think they change quickly, or at least not after their first thousand years or so, after this i think it’s a gradual thing. but since nepilim are young comparatively and part human, jack’s true form is in a stage of evolving quite frequently. and i definitely think jack’s special interests and hyperfixations impact it and it’s a frequently added to collection of all things jack.

i think dean would have a cake for his birthday because he makes pies a lot and he’s been working on getting good at making cakes so he wants to show off his skills. he makes BEAUTIFUL pies and everyone knows it but he wants to show he can make cake too. he makes it in secret. his family actually makes him a cake/pie/etc and it’s kind of a mess like there is A LOT of love in it but also it’s kind of burnt and also raw and they feel real bad about it. and he says, “don’t worry i love it!” and they say, “but it’s not even edible dean! you have no birthday dessert.” and then dean says “well… i don’t know about that.” and goes to get his secret cake he spent hours and hours on.

if cas is nearby when jack gets overwhelmed and is on the verge of a shutdown/meltdown, they will go up to him and quietly tug on his trench coat sleeve. cas knows what this means. he won’t say anything, as not to add to too much sensory, as he quietly shrugs off his coat and puts it on jack’s shoulders. jack likes to wrap it around themselves. they like the pressure it helps them focus on trying to calm down. it’s like a cocoon. and it smells like their dad. so even when they can’t handle a hug it feels like their dad is hugging them.
