I dreamed I was in a shop looking at these fetish ballet boots that somehow had Buffalo-style soles. Of course this is nonsense because how would you fit the necessarily bulky Buffalo sole into the vertical profile of one of those pointe boots, but since this was a dream I developed a powerful craving for them and my only concern was that I didn't think I could walk in them. And I had to remind myself, the fact that you can't walk is kind of the point, you big dummy! So then the only concern was spending money on something that is specifically not supposed to function (or does not serve a *practical* function, only a leisure one). Perhaps the dream means that now that it is the new year and I have promised myself to stop spending my dwindling savings on insanities, it is time to buy a pair of Buffalo shoes like I always wanted. I found out about them when my American friend moved to Germany in the 90s, and the shoes were the first thing he really hated about being in Europe. But, he's fucking 6'4" or something, so what the fuck does he know!
