We've seen her break down. It's the understanding that she'll never go home, that there's no longer any Kate without Tammy being a part of her. We've also seen her break down at the loss of a friend. Hopper has seen it. Robin's seen it. It won't be the first time or the last...

mistake: What's the worst mistake your OC ever made? What led to them making it? Have they been able to fix it? How have they moved on?

Kate makes a lot of mistakes but she'll admit that she makes them and tries to fix them. She actively tries to learn from her mistakes. As for the worst one she's ever made...as Tammy? Keeping certain things to herself too long.

wound: How does your OC handle being wounded? Are their wounds mostly physical? Mental? Emotional? What's the worst wound your OC has ever experienced?

....she's never been majorly wounded (yet). She has been through some major emotional wounds like the death of her friend, and the loss of her old life...I'd say the worst so far was waking up as Tammy 😂😂😂

I really liked how you played with the morality on 'Think Bigger'. You push a bit into sympathizing. Push a bit again. And then there's the reminder of exactly who we're dealing with. It's a nice ebb and flow with how the reader should perceive them.

I was a bit nervous when I first come up with my Bradley H, my lone wanderer oc, because of his morality. He certainly is a bad guy, but not because he is insane (he probably is but that’s beside the point) or that he holds a wrong belief like some villains in fallout series, but because he simply doesn’t care. He has a very self-centred view of the world where he deems anything useless if he can’t see benefits directly related to him. However, if it comes to his friends, he then cares. A lot. That’s why I wanted to portray him from an outside view but also being inside of his little circle, and from someone who has been lack of affection, BH would be a very contradicting figure and will get them more confused.

I wanted to show that BH’s actions highly depend on whether he cares or not, therefore sometimes he seems like just a guy from someone who’s close to him, or a really sweet guy, even; but he isn’t, and overall we shouldn’t really sympathise with him. I also wanted to show he’s very charismatic and he knows, which would naturally get Butch’s head all confused.

It was really interesting trying to write this from Butch DeLoria’s POV in itself. He’s a 19 years old boy who was a bully probably because he wasn’t really loved by his own mother and doesn’t know who his father is. He has this illusion of what a tough guy looks like, but inside creepy places he still randomly asks you to not leave him there. My most belovedest cringefail boy <333

🍨 [ICE CREAM] How does your OC compose themselves in stressful situations?

If he can prepare in advance, he will dress up smart. Especially for work events, he will make sure he's very well dressed. Mostly because he knows that whatever he does, he will be noticed, so he has to fit right in and look well kept (this is why he's also always perfectly clean shaven and makes sure his clothes look good most of the time anyway - without the extra step, however. Can't have people think stuff. When actually he'd just be happy in a comfy sweater and jeans - which is why he's dressed like that on week ends for example)(I need to translate a short one shot about that lol).

If he can't prepare in advance/if stress goes over a certain threshold... Prepare for the snark. Also he touches Kalinka's fur. His dog means a lot to him and her being by his side always is also a moral support. She reminds him how far he's come. Something he's proud of, and it helps with self confidence.

Well he does smell like tangerines since he carries some with him all the time, and I think acidic at first and very sweet after is pretty fitting 😅

Indulging with food ? Lol. Is it indulging if it's good food he's cooked/baked himself? It's more like enjoying the fruit of his labour, right?

Maybe BEING TOLD A SIMPLE THREE WORD SENTENCE BY THE RIGHT PERSON USING ACTUAL WORDS AND VOICE, RIGHT, DIANE ? 😒 Instead of trying to find convoluted ways to communicate it without opening her damned mouth. He does love it, it can be pretty endearing (and he finds sometimes it means a lot more than just words), but for once, he'd like to hear it.

Another Round if You're Up For it

UM okay, listen...this got away from me a bit...

Warnings: cheating, light smut, swearing. Unbeta'd (I only read it over like..once or twice..) Rating: M...I guess for the above warnings. Pairing: Rengoku Kyojuro x unnamed/undescribed oc Notes: Kyojuro is a bit darker in this. Man is not as innocent as he appears... Thank you to @vixenofcourse and @comatosebunny09 who helped me decide on what direction I wanted to go with this.

Sequel: Prompt: "When he touches you, is it his face you see or mine?"

This is for our game "send a song and create the bones of a scene or plot based on it" If you want to join in, lmk and I'll send you a song!

“What are you doing?” She whispers it, afraid to break this silence, this tension that continues to build between them. She’s not supposed to be here. She’s not supposed to be doing this. 

“Hmm?” he asks, his eyes moving from looking at her lips to her eyes. They pierce her, holding her in place. It’s amazing she can even see his features in this dark room, the only light being the glare of the streetlight from the window. Everyone is downstairs. She can hear them, the music vibrating the floor underneath them. Even though she can’t hear him, she knows her boyfriend is down there, waiting for her. If he even notices. He hasn’t noticed that she has to bite her lip when they fuck, desperate to make sure she doesn’t call someone else’s name. His name.

She hasn’t been able to stop thinking about him. It’s gotten to the point where she knows she needs to break up with the boy downstairs because it’s not fair to him that the man in front of her occupies her mind as much as he does. 

“What are you doing?” she asks again. He didn’t even stop her in the hall as they passed each other, just pulled her into this room. She heard the lock click behind him as he closed the door. 

“Something we both want,” he says. His arm goes around her, hand pressing into the small of her back as he pulls her into him. His other hand goes to her jaw, tilting her head up as he kisses her. 

She was right, she thinks idly. He kisses with as much passion as he does everything in his life. 

She doesn’t know who moves first but her back is pressed against the wall and he kisses her like he’s trying to memorize every part of her. His leg presses between hers and he can’t help but try to will him closer. How come it never feels like this with–

 “We,” she swallows tightly. She breaks the kiss but his mouth moves across her jaw and down her neck. “We shouldn’t do this.” She knows it’s wrong. She can admit that she’s not perfect, she’s made mistakes but him? This isn’t supposed to be something he’d condone. He’s not supposed to want her back. Not like this. “We should stop.”

“Why?” he asks. She almost doesn’t hear it. “Why do I always have to stop?” He lets out a slow breath. “Because of him? You think they’re going to suspect anything? He can’t even see the way you look at me or how much I’ve fucking held back.” 

She’s never heard him swear before. “Kyo-” she gasps as he pulls her closer, rocking her on his thigh. He swallows it with another kiss. His hand slides up under her shirt. The heat of it feels like it burns. 

“Say it again.” 

She shakes her head, unwilling. She wasn’t supposed to say it in the first place. He laughs lightly and she shivers at the sound of it. 

“Again,” he demands.

“Kyojuro,” she breathes. Her head falls back, giving in to the sensations. 

He hums against her skin. “Does he make you feel like this?” 

She doesn’t answer. She digs her hand into his hair, fingers tightening on the blond locks. He groans. His hips buck against her, his grip on her waist tightening. He moves her, just enough that she’s rocking against his thigh, the friction building. He’s strong enough to hold her, to direct her as he wants. She feels almost weightless in comparison.

“Let me hear you.”

“We can’t,” she breathes, trying to focus. Her shirt is somehow off and his mouth burns a path on her collarbone. He’s going to set her on fire and she knows she will welcome the blaze. “We-” she cuts herself off. “Don’t leave marks.” 

He pulls back and stares at her for a moment. He is breathless and desperate and wanting, just like she is. His gaze darkens the longer they look at each other. “I could leave any,” he says. “I could brand my name onto your skin and they still wouldn’t guess that I’m going to make you forget anyone who’s ever touched you.” 

Her breath catches in her throat at the promise. Wasn’t this exactly what she wanted? She just never expected that this man, the same one everyone praises for how kind, how innocent, he is, would want it too. 

“Just once,” she says out loud, hoping that the universe will forgive her for this transgression. She can be forgiven if it’s just once, right?

He laughs. “As if I would let you go now that I have you.” He kisses her, “right where,” again, “I want you,” and again. He hitches her closer, urging her to wrap her legs around his waist. She does, succumbing to the feeling of him and losing herself to her desires. 

She kisses him back just as hard. If she does goes to hell for this, at least she won’t burn alone. 

*meanwhile downstairs…*

“Where’s your girl?” “Upstairs I think. I don’t know, she’s around.” “I saw Rengoku go up there. You’re not worried?” He laughs. “About him? Please. He’s probably never even kissed a girl before.”

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

While I do love my angst and it does get me emotional I think what gets me the most emotional is just casual expressions of love and/or soft moments between characters when someone lets their guard down. For example a character placing a blanket over their friends and keeping vigil for the night or a character who usually keeps to themself having a child latch onto them and refuse to let go. (These two moments being some of my favorites that I've written recently)

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

The most common themes in my fics tend to be found family and finding yourself/personal growth which I know are pretty common everywhere. To go into a bit more detail I want to express to my (future) readers that no matter how lost you are, no matter the mistakes you've made, and no matter who you used to be, you can pull through and things will get better.

I write not only because I love it but also to share my experiences as well as my hopes and dreams for the future. It's both therapeutic in its own way but also I like to think that by expressing some of my own personal experiences through my writing it might help someone else who is going through something similar feel a little less alone and maybe it might give them something to hope for too.

🎶 Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?

I do listen to music while I write although I tend to listen to instrumental music so the lyrics don't distract me from the words in my brain haha. I like to listen to whatever music will put me in the mood for what I'm trying to write at the moment. So for the last few writing sessions I've been listening to fantasy/renaissance music and it's been really helping me get in the right mindset 😄 (for nanowrimo I've been writing on a story I'm co-writing @dryads-veil)

💞 Who's your comfort character?

Okay so I'm going to be difficult and say I don't have a comfort character…I more so have comfort groups that aren't necessarily romantic. I just have certain characters that just make me so happy to write together and make me feel all cozy and soft inside.

Comfort pairings/trios:

Mason/Felix/Jackie… are just the best friends ever Jackie and Felix always giving Mason a heart attack when they get in over their heads when they set their mind to something but always doing their best to make sure he doesn't work too much and has fun and does things outside of his job as a teacher.

(Also honorable mention I love Felix and his little sister Sofia they're very close and their interactions are so funny and adorable and I love them)

Kafele/Amari… Well they have a rough start but even though they can't remember they used to be childhood friends and God they were so adorable and once they learn to trust each other again they would do anything for the other and idk they're both a bit spiky but they make each other soft and I love them so much.

Astraea/Anakin… just owns my whole heart. Astraea trying to be the best Padawan she can be for him in appreciation that he saved her while Anakin just wants her to be the happiest she can be and feels like he's not being a very good Master seeing as Astraea just naturally excels in being a Jedi when it's actually just being terrified to speak up cause of her past but she thinks he's the best Master ever. Idk where I was going with this but the two of them are just really soft for each other and I love it so much.

🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?

Ooo this is another hard one… I don't think I really have a particular favorite to write although I have general characters I favor. I'll be honest it's probably kind of obvious that the characters that are easier for me to write are the ones that I relate to personally the most but I think the ones that are the most fun to write for me are the ones that are very active. Characters who are incapable of sitting still and doing nothing, characters who are impatient, curious, passionate, or stubborn are my favorite kinds to write.

Specific characters that fit this would be: Amari (one of my Miraculous Ladybug ocs), Victoria (one of my leverage ocs), Felix and Jackie (in one my original stories with no title so far), the Boys™ Rah, Haeju and Xi’aire (in one of my original stories currently titled The Missing Piece), and an honorable mention for Aisha who so badly wants to acts on her emotions but tends to let her fear get in the way

p: are you what George R. R. Martin would call an "architect or a "gardener"? (how much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)

i am a gardener masquerading as an architect. i plan out my fics, possibly to ridiculous degrees, but i usually go off-script immediately. i love planning everything out though because it does help me figure out the little things, even though i can’t follow an outline to save my life.

x: a character you enjoy making suffer.

i also answered this here, but i do enjoy making my characters suffer. i enjoy making ryan lopez suffer. she’s a dc character, involved with the snyderverse batman, and she’s not the suffer in silence type. she’s a very angry individual. when she suffers, i get to write fun angry rants and bouts of violence.

y: a character you want to protect.

hen rosenberg, for sure. she’s a harry potter character, marauder’s era, and she’s the youngest of my main characters. she also goes through a lot, which is needed because of plot, but i honestly want only good things for her.

z: major character death-do you ever write/read it? is there a character whose death you can't tolerate?

reading it, the story has to be incredibly good and the death has to be for a good reason. i usually avoid it though. writing it, i’m more of a temporary major character death writer. i tend to put my characters through a lot, so i like to give them happy endings. most canon deaths are something i can’t tolerate, which is where fanfic inspiration comes from. one example would be tara from buffy the vampire slayer. i can assure you that in my btvs fic, tara lives a long and happy life.
