would u guys believe me if i said earlier today in math class i was playing some game about sea creatures and suddenly i saw an image of a cuttlefish and i literally jumped in my seat

rabbit: i swear she would hardly pay attention to the story unless it interested her, and would go straight for the leviathan in her seamoth/cyclops and then get confused when it explodes. she would make a huge base and fill every corner with aquariums.

the spine: he would follow the story as well as he could, though always being called by the jon to help him. he would make a normal base and would basically speed run the game, not even on purpose.

the jon: would have no clue what to do and would just swim around, forget he has to breathe, die, then do it all over again. his favorite creature would be the peeper and his inventory is FULL of them! wasn’t paying attention and got scared when the aurora exploded and shut down for a minute.

hatchworth: kind of a mix of rabbit and the jon, but would gather all the cuttlefish eggs and hatch them all at the same time.

zer0: would play for multiple hours then forget it exists then play again. he has a shit ton of resources and all of his vehicles are upgraded all the way. accidentally has the volume on 0 and then gets jumpscared by reapers or ghost leviathans.

upgrade: basically the same as the spine but it takes her longer to complete the game.

I mean, I’m certainly not going to change that, not with my motivation, but come on. How does almost no one take advantage of the narrative and worldbuilding potential of Shepard becoming an AI god with a thousand pet giant space cuttlefish? Screw domestic bliss after the war, I want to see a digital avatar of Shepard dancing on the roof of an annoyed reaper with her love interest.

There are even fewer Synthesis fics, but Synthesis is less an ending and more a vague philosophical expression of optimism, so I forgive the fandom for that.

Made up of Sweet (left) and Hearts (right)! Originally paired up due to being part cuttlefish, these two are now genuine friends.

Sweet (they/them) is usually tired in interviews, despite carrying cold brew coffee to every interview. While usually drowsy, Sweet is wide awake when it comes to music and trends!

Hearts (he/him) is usually hyperactive in interviews, answering things too quickly for interviewers to fully understand. His many projects seem to have a large amount of detail poured into them, making it seem that he took months to complete them!

Fun Facts!

Despite making jokes about being married, both members of Buble Pink are not in any partnerships or marriages.

Sweet was born with several mutations (ex. heart-shaped suckers), which has caused several “annoying“ scenarios over the years.

Hearts purposely curls his hair, which has caused unnecessary speculation into his suckers.

Sweet was Team Order while Hearts was Team Chaos. They weren't fans of the Squid Sisters, so they didn't participate in the Callie vs Marie Splatfest.

Sweet is more into literature, while Hearts is into the sciences.

Sweet's Japanese name would be Same Kō (サメ • コウ), a pun off of the starry night octopus's name in Japanese (サメハダテナガダコ / samehadatenagadako) and the golden cuttlefish's name in Japanese (コウイカ / kōika).

Hearts's Japanese name would be Aka Rīpā (アカ • リーパ), a pun off of the neon flying squid's name in Japanese (アカイカ / akaika) and the reaper cuttlefish's name in Japanese (リーパーイカ / rīpāika).

HII sorry for replying so late to this (or honestly any other ask)!! my life has been a mess lately and i'm trying to keep it together lol. anyways, here's some more anaïs lore 👌 [questions taken from here]

31. How patient is your character with others? Do they find it easy to handle people that try and bug them, or hard? Anaïs has a lot of patience, but a very... cold type of patience. She won't lash out, kick, punch or be rude, and has perfected the art of mantaining a seirous, yes-sir face. She actually has very little tolerance for bs, but keeps it to herself.

79. Which one do they prefer; knowing when they die or how they die? The topic of death is one that Anaïs really struggles with because being raised Catholic, learning that mechanical cuttlefish are going to kill all of your friends and then being spaced and subsequently being resurrected will do that to you. After all of the events of ME1/2, she'd definitely prefer to know when she dies so at least her anxiety calms down a bit. She never tells anyone, but she's practically freaking out from the moment she wakes up after the Lazarus project, thinking that she's a dead woman walking.

82. If they could have one superpower, what would it be? Choose wisely, it could have drawbacks to them. This a really complicated one but I would say the superpower (if you could even call it that) to forget. Anaïs is an overthinker, and most of the times, she'll dwell a lot on her trauma or insecurities, and afterwards, want to forget them without external help. That superpower does eventually come in her life after the Reaper War. It's called a therapist.
