the convoluted doctor who lore gets extra funny when you realize that, at two separate points in the past, two different companions to two different doctors ended up running into rasputin but both came to the conclusion that he was a pretty nice and normal guy. which, depending on how you interpret the power of the doctor, is either a nice subversion of a lot of tropes of stories used in pre-soviet russia, or side-splittingly hilarious as you start imagining the master getting roped into various adventures with different versions of the doctor that he can’t fuck with yet or else he’ll destroy the timeline, forcing him to play nice with the humans as part of his 4D Time Chess Master Disguise Plan #3852
Lol yeah this is a WIP that's probably gonna stay that way~ This was super fun to sketch out and use as practice! I did little tiny parts of this on streams here and there and it was super fun to giggle with everyone at how ridiculous it is! Based on This video by Cale Brown. I was gonna reblog this on this post, but you cant put videos on reblogs~ 🙄
I was doing a talent show at school and I was standing on the stage (but it wasn’t even our main stage. We have a huge historical auditorium that we use for talent shows and yet I was on the shitty one upstairs.). Anyways, I began singing, and then Brendon Urie showed up and him and I and my friends preformed Rasputin.
In a time of great prosperity, a tyrant king sent his son to live among the people and learn their ways. He did so for many years, until a great calamity befell the kingdom.
In the aftermath, the tyrant's son was changed. The tyrant's son turned away from his father, and became a warrior. The tyrant chased his son across fields and mountains and oceans.
He said, "If I can't have my son, then no one shall."
In the end, the tyrant used his son's love of the people against him. He promised him a miraculous technology that could rebuild the kingdom. When his son came to claim it, he unleashed a plague upon him. His son was destroyed.
i also figured, since i'm on a destiny kick right now, that y'all would enjoy these studies of Rasputin i did.
poor guy. he was the coolest fella ever and we had him for so little time :(
and here's a quick sketch i did of what a full exo form might have looked like for him.
I wanted to keep the "incomplete" feeling of his experimental exo form by leaving his extraneous limbs sort of wiry and loose, not well armored like his main body. i don't think i pulled it off very well. hopefully if i try again i'll get it better next time.
i want to draw felwinter in the future too, he was a pretty epic fella. thumbs up.
