Lena sighed loudly as she plopped down onto the bed. Looks like she’s going to sleep alone…again…for the third night…this week. She knew Rafa was busy filming that movie for HBO but she feels like he never sees him anymore. She understands, she really does, with her having a demanding job, but it’s just that when she finally has free time, he’s busy and when he’s not working on anything usually she’s back at work. Just then the front door opened and she could hear Mia excitedly greet her boyfriend. She grabbed her wine glass, she had already had a few and with her irritation rising like vomit, she didn’t want to say anything to start an argument.
“Hey Mia, hey girl, where’s Lena?”
“Back here!” She called out, Rafa entered the bedroom with an apologetic smile on his face and takeout from her favorite carry-out.
“Hey, Lean,” He greeted he tried to kiss her but she moved her head back. “Babe, I’m sorry, I know I’m late, I brought your favorite,”
“That’s nice.” She said dismissively as she scrolled down her social media
“I know, Lean, I know. I promise once the movie comes out, I’ll make it up to you.”
“Okay.”
“Lena, I promise, Friday I got you.” Lena wanted to believe him, but with his growing busy schedule, last-minute meetings, and phone calls, were taking precedence over her. She understood, she knew what she was getting into when they started their relationship but it doesn’t make it hurt any less.
“We’ll see.” She sighed getting comfortable
“Lena, you know I don’t like being away from you.” Lena wished he would just stop talking to her. She could feel her word vomit coming on and once she got started, she didn’t want to stop.
“I don’t know, maybe there’s someone else that’s taking up your time.” Fuck. She shouldn’t have said that but the five glasses of Pinot Noir say otherwise.
“The hell is that supposed to mean?”
“What I just said,”
“Lena, I’m so fuckin tired I don’t even have time to cheat on you even if I am, which I’m not.”
“How do I know that? We haven’t had sex in a month.” Rafa groaned in irritation, this is the last thing he wanted to do.
“Raf, the last time we had sex was after that Warrior's Game last month. I don’t want to talk about it anymore, can you put that food in the fridge before you go to bed.” With that Lena turned off the lamp on her nightstand and laid down to go to sleep.
After taking his much-needed shower, Rafa came out of the bathroom and smirked when he saw Lena who appeared to be fast asleep. He got in the bed, wrapping his arm around her waist.
Rafa has been busy these past few weeks, he knows that he’s been coming home later and later. He’s been at the studio almost every night this week, not getting home until well after midnight. Now that he thinks of it it has been a while, that’s when an idea hit him.
Lena groaned when she felt Rafa’s hand caressing her breasts, any other time she’d leap at the chance to fuck her boyfriend, but she was still a little salty with him and slightly drunk. She shrugged him off moving over,

The next morning, Lena awoke to an empty bed again and an awful headache. She should be used to it by now, not the hangover, her boyfriend dashing out first thing in the morning. She checked her phone to see if Rafa texted her and he didn’t. Which was strange, usually he texts her if he’s leaving before she wakes up. Just as she was about to get out of bed, the door opened to reveal Rafael with a cup of coffee in hand and a brown paper bag from their favorite breakfast spot.
“Damn it, I was gonna surprise you.” Lena smiles softly at Rafa’s attempt to treat her to breakfast
“What’s this?” Lena asked, graciously taking the cup of coffee from his hands.
“I know I don’t deserve the best boyfriend award, but I want to make it up to you,”
“How you gonna make it up to me?” but first, I need an apology.”
“An apology?”
“Yeah an apology,” He smirked, Lena knew what he was trying to do but she was not going to give in easily
“What do I need to apologize for?”
“What you say, Lena?” Rafa asked smugly, his hand coming down hard on her ass, she bit back a moan.
“Have I ever done anything that would make you think I would ever cheat on you?” Rafa asked smacking her ass again,

“Let’s take a shower and get something to eat,” Rafa suggested
After a much-needed shower, Rafa and Lean entered the kitchen ready to eat the food he ordered for them. He looked and saw a brown amazon box on the counter.
“Is that for me?” He asked motioning toward the package
“Yeah, it came yesterday I didn’t get a chance to tell you,” Lena said with a playful glint in her eye.
“Go ahead and open it, I got it for you maybe we can try it out today.”
In hindsight Rafa should’ve taken his girlfriend to see a different movie, hell they could’ve seen The Curse of La Llorona again but here they are at the fucking movie theater and Lena is fangirling over Captain fucking America and it’s pissing him off.
“Damn he so fine,” Lena muttered to herself she noticed Rafa shift uncomfortably and smirked inwardly. She knew she was walking on thin ice, but in all honesty, she wanted to see how far he would go.
“He not all that,” Rafa said earning a shush from a nearby moviegoer. As they watched the fight scene Rafa noticed Lena rubbing her thighs together, making her leather skirt ride up, he clenched his jaw in irritation.
“I just know he got a big dick,” Lena whispered loudly knowing Rafa could hear her. Rafa leaned over, his lips ghosting over her ear. Not that anyone could hear what he was saying with the loudspeakers in the theater.

On People with Disabilities and COVID-19
Currently, the whole world is facing a threat from COVID-19, the coronavirus, however it is well known that there is an at-risk demographic. Many people with disabilities will fall into this at-risk category depending on the nature of their disability. Many people with disabilities have illnesses which suppress their autoimmune system or cause respiratory issues, both of which are causes for concern in the case of COVID-19 infection. Plus, those with physical disabilities often face discrimination and barriers which will make it harder to follow the general advice.
People with disabilities who need carers will find advice on self-isolation and social-distancing difficult to follow, leaving them at higher risk of catching the illness via continued contact with other people. Furthermore, those people with disabilities who are able to operate in a state of self-isolation will face more difficulties in obtaining essential items and food if they do not receive support. A lack of supplies in supermarkets will unfairly impact those with mobility issues as moving from place to place in search of items may not be possible and access to certain shops may also be a barrier. At risk people with disabilities may also be in self-isolation without support and afraid to leave their homes to buy essentials for fear of being in contact with the general public and contracting the disease.
An expert with WHO, speaking of COVID-19 specifically, has warned that issues already faced by people with disabilities could be “exacerbated in crisis situations”. Discrimination in this crisis is a real fear, many people with disabilities are scared by potential health-care rationing. Advice so far on social-distancing and self-isolation has failed to recognise the problems these practices cause for people with disabilities. On a day-to-day basis people with disabilities face discrimination and social exclusion is, unfortunately, a regular occurrence, however during this crisis being excluded and discriminated in emergency advice and government measures can have serious impacts on the rights and welfare of people with disabilities.

AXS Lab evaluation and response to COVID-19
Introduction
AXS Lab exists to support people with disabilities and raise awareness of the issues they face via new media, films, and the power of story. Throughout the COVID-19 crisis AXS Lab will shift its focus from ordinary programs to focus on awareness raising and disseminating advice as it affects people with disabilities. We will cover the threat people with disabilities face, our response to this threat and how you can help us beat COVID-19.
How it affects us
Many people with disabilities will fall into the at-risk category depending on the nature of their disability e.g if they have illnesses which suppress their autoimmune system or cause respiratory issues, both of which are causes for concern in the case of COVID-19 infection. Plus, those with physical disabilities often face discrimination and barriers which will make it harder to follow the general advice and may put them at a higher risk of contracting the disease. In recent days there has been renewed chatter about the threat of discrimination against people with disabilities in end-of-life decisions as healthcare providers prepare for a shortage of lifesaving resources. Coronavirus cases, recoveries and deaths
AXS Lab is situated in New York City, currently the situation is concerning, with the number of cases doubling every few days, currently standing at just above 15,000, and over 25,000 in the whole of New York State. In New York City alone there are 930,100 people with disabilities, 11% of its total population. The threat of COVID-19 is becoming more and more apparent as data scientists reveal the sharp rise in cases in the last few weeks compared to the first couple of months. The number of infected cases is growing quickly and will continue. As of 25 March 2020 there are 436,159 cases globally according to John Hopkins University. With the WHO saying on Tuesday that “the US has the potential to become the new epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic.”
Our Response
AXS Lab has an established audience from past projects which includes: people with disabilities, disability rights activists and supporters. In order to combat the blanket advice given to all regarding self-isolation and social-distancing, information will be written and disseminated through social media pages. The traditional media will also be engaged to highlight the problems that people with disabilities face and to stem the discrimination in advice and emergency policies to follow. In addition AXS Lab will act as a funnel for all advice, updates and news of new measures in regards to COVID-19 which apply directly to those individuals with a disability. This will include publishing information on AXS Lab social platforms and directing our followers to other resources to check information depending on geographic location.
To alleviate anxiety and stress caused, AXS Lab will encourage those more harshly affected by this virus and measures that have been put in place, to reach out to the organization via social media and we will share their stories and experiences, further highlighting issues and providing a network and moral support for people who are struggling. AXS Lab will encourage supporters to provide specific help to people they know who have disabilities and/or underlying health conditions and different methods of how community support can be provided will be debated and shared with our audiences. AXS Lab will also be sharing ways in which people can advocate for the rights of people with disabilities amongst the growing fear of rights being curtailed in the midst of policy changes and insufficient resources in healthcare.
Overall, AXS Lab hopes to ignite a supportive network for people with disabilities who may be having a particularly difficult time in order to educate and encourage others, as well as providing moral support and a community for those who need it so we can all make it through this uncertain and testing time.
