a leverage quinn/eliot thing i'll never write that’s been sitting in my drafts for a literal year so i'm just yeeting it out into the void
okay so who the hell knows if this is in any way an original thought but i think it’s sort of accepted by fandom that quinn and eliot knew each other long before they fight in the first david job. so let’s run with that. maybe when they met eliot was fresh out of the service and trying to figure out what he was going to do with his life. private security would be the obvious choice, but he still needs the adrenaline, and a break from people giving him orders. so he becomes an independent contractor, a retrieval specialist, and on a job he runs into mr. quinn. same place, same time, but different targets, and they hit it off while digging through an old storage space. and they just keep running into each other, time and time again, and eliot gains a reputation for being the best while quinn is happy to remain in the shadows. being lesser known has its own set of benefits.
and then they hang out after a heist, and things happen, and they find themselves becoming more than friends. this goes on for the next year, maybe two, and then...then they work a job together. something they’ve never done before, for some reason. and it feels off from the beginning, but it's quinn, and eliot trusts him more than anyone in the world, so he pushes those concerns aside until he can’t. the job goes so wrong so fast, and eliot finds himself taken hostage, waking up in an old warehouse, bruised and bloody and so tired. all he has to do is survive, because quinn is coming, he just has to hang on until quinn finds him. quinn will always find him. and then quinn does find him, and he looks so guilty, so fucking sad, and it hits eliot like a kick to the stomach that he’s been sold out. eliot gets free somehow and they fight their way out, and at the end of it all, a trail of bodies behind them, they stand there and look at each other. quinn is devastated, trying to find the words, and eliot just... shakes his head and walks away. he never hears quinn quiet plea for him to wait.
in the interim eliot finds his way to moreau, the awful things he does to forget, never telling anyone why he will only work alone. after a while he realizes he either needs to get out or lose himself completely, so he gets out, spends some time with toby learning to cook, and eventually goes back to working solo. then he’s hired to do a job in LA, a one and done with a team of thieves, and he does it. what a massive miscalculation on his part, because he does not want to like these people. liking people means wanting to be around them, giving them power over you even if you don’t mean to, and he just won’t do that again. but he does. and he keeps coming back, and despite the fact that hardison never shuts up, and parker loves jumping off buildings in a way that makes him deeply concerned, and nate is a ticking time bomb, and sophie is as warm as she is a terrifyingly good liar, he finds himself building a home there, working with these four people, beating up bad guys because he's helping people.
and then sophie cons the team, and the betrayal hits twice as hard this time. but before he even finds that out, he sees a face he’s done his level best to never see again. he lets quinn beat him up a bit, lets him think he’s winning, because eliot knows quinn has always been one thing above everything else, and that’s cocky. and when eliot grunts “now that rib’s broken,” he doesn't tack on like my fucking heart the way he wants to. it’s been years, and it wouldn’t have the impact he wants it to. and then the team separates and he’s never felt so adrift in his life.
in the immediate aftermath, quinn tries to reach out, and eliot keeps changing numbers, because really quinn should have gotten the fucking hint after the first five unanswered calls. eventually eliot shoots him a text, saying that quinn needed to leave him alone, and that he would reach out when he wanted to. the calls stop after that.
three years later, eliot has to go hunting for quinn because he needs a favor. and all quinn wants in return (besides the money, of course) is for eliot to just let him explain. they can go back to not talking, but he wants eliot to know the truth.
and when the job is over, when dubenich and latimer have been dealt with and the bat cave has been deserted, quinn tells him what really happened that night. how eliot wound up in that warehouse, why the job went sideways. [there’s some kind of bribery/secret that he was just desperate enough to keep quiet that he’d sell eliot out] and the price was that quinn had to turn eliot over. he tried, tried so hard to think of a way to get them all out of it alive, and they were almost home free and everything went so wrong so fast and he couldn’t think fast enough. and then eliot walked away never knowing that had the right amount of pressure not been applied to the exact right spot, quinn never would have put eliot within 100 miles of that job because even though they never said it in so many words, quinn had loved him and he knows eliot loved him too.
and so eliot takes a few days to think while everyone else scatters to parts unknown but this time with the full understanding that they’ll all eventually be reunited. eliot thinks, and thinks, and eventually texts quinn and invites him out. they can start with a beer.

this might be my last fic in this fandom but I loved writing it so: a kinda rough coffee shop au, quinn/eliot, 13k, lots of gentleness and some light angst with a happy ending. all the main story beats are there, it's just a bit unpolished. check the ao3 tags for more info.

Fictober Day 12 - Leverage - safe house
Prompt:  “You’re making my head hurt.” Title:  safe house Fandom: Leverage Ship: Mr. Quinn/Eliot Spencer Rating: Mature Warnings: coarse language,  alcohol use, blood, minor injuries, sexual situations (fade to black). Length:  1,135 words Summary: Just a couple of idiots who refuse to go to the hospital when they’re injured.
Quinn picked up the remote and raised the volume on the TV. He was hoping to drown out the sound of the pipes squealing as Eliot showered off the detritus of the job they both just got back from. He needed to do something to get his mind off thoughts of a wet and naked Eliot Spencer just a few feet and a closed door away.
Fifteen minutes later Eliot emerged from the bathroom in a cloud of steam, hair still-damp towel wrapped around his waist, and smelling like Quinn's shampoo. "You're making my head hurt," Eliot complained.
"It's not me that's making your head hurt. It's the wack on the head that guy with the baseball bat gave you." Quinn lowered the volume and put the remote down on the arm of the couch.
"Whatever, I'm still blaming you."
"That's fine, it's not like I was out there saving your ass the whole time."
"Seriously? That's the way you remember it?" Eliot shook his head and winced. He reached up and touched his forehead, fingers coming away with blood. "Fuck."
"You're head's bleeding."
"No shit, really?" Eliot turned around and headed back to the bathroom. "I think it opened up again in the shower."
Quinn followed. Besides the gash on his head, there were bruises starting to bloom on Eliot's back and side. The job had gone a little rougher than expected. "Maybe you should go to the hospital and have that checked out."
Eliot shot him a glare that would've sent a lesser man running but only made Quinn want to bend him over the sink and lose the towel. "Yeah, yeah, I know. No hospitals." Quinn shook his head. "Idiot," he muttered.
"Like you're one to talk. How about you let me look at your shoulder?"
"My shoulder's fine," Quinn lied. It hurt like a motherfucker.
"Then why don't you show me how fine it is." Eliot's voice was stern and commanding. Quinn hid his grin by looking down while he slid off his jacket and unbuttoned his shirt. Eliot helped him get the shirt off without taking a layer of his skin with it. He saw the blood soaked through it when Eliot tossed it to the floor and grimaced. Huh, he hadn't realized it was that bad. "This needs stitches," Eliot said, a thread of concern laced his words.
Quinn shrugged and instantly regretted it as the pain hit him like a brick on fire. "I've got a suture kit in the other room," he said through gritted teeth.
"Good luck sewing your own shoulder together."
"That's what I have you for." Quinn grinned. "I trust you."
"You trust me?" Eliot said disbelievingly. Trust was rare in their line of work.
"Well, with this sort of thing, yeah I trust you." He wouldn't want Eliot to think he was soft for him or anything.
"Fine. Take the rest of your clothes off and get into the shower. I'll stitch you up after you get out," Eliot said, his fingers still warm on his skin.
Quinn stood there and enjoyed the way Eliot's hands felt on him. After a moment he cleared his throat and stepped away. "Unless you're gonna lose the towel and join me, I'm gonna need a little privacy here."
"Whatever," Eliot grunted. Quinn closed the door behind him, stripped off the rest of his clothes, and got into the shower.
When he got out, Eliot was wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and a couple of butterfly bandages on the wound on his head. The suture kit and a bottle of Jack were on the coffee table in front of him. "Give me a minute to put some pants on," Quinn said as he dug around in his duffle bag. Several minutes, a clean pair of pants, and two swigs of whiskey later; Quinn sat on the edge of the sofa while Eliot disinfected his wound. It burned like hell but the booze helped take the pain down a notch.
He treated himself to a big gulp of Jack when Eliot finished stitching him back together. "So, what's the verdict Doc?"
"You'll live." Eliot's hands moved to his torso and Quinn held his breath. Firm hands running over his ribs, no doubt checking for breaks. Perfectly innocent. Perfectly fine. "I don't think anything's broken." Eliot moved his hands away. For a moment Quinn mourned the loss and wished for something more.
They watched the end half of some monster-in-the-closet kind of movie and shared the rest of the whiskey. By the time the movie ended Quinn had his head in Eliot's lap.
The day had caught up with the both of them and Quinn stretched out on his side so as not to aggravate his shoulder. He lay his head in Eliot's lap for a moment, figuring Eliot would push him off after a minute or two. But Eliot didn't push him away or complain about it. In fact, a little while later when they'd settled on another movie to watch, Quinn felt Eliot's fingers in his hair. Maybe they'd both had a little too much whiskey?
"You got a bed in this safe house or just the sofa?" Eliot asked, his voice relaxed and sleepy.
"The sofa opens up into a bed."
"Ah."
"Or we could just stay here like this," Quinn suggested.
"As lovely as that sounds, I don't think my back will be happy with me in the morning if I sleep sitting up." Eliot stopped running his fingers through Quinn's hair and leaned back. "How about we get up and I turn this sucker into a bed?"
"And then what?"
"And then we go to sleep. I don't know about you but I've had a long day."
Quinn pushed his disappointment aside and reluctantly got up from the couch. "We sharing the bed or...?" Quinn let the question hang in the air.
Eliot shook his head like he thought Quinn was an idiot for even asking. "Of course, we're sharing the bed. Neither of us is in any shape to take the floor. Besides, I think I can keep my hands to myself while you sleep."
"It's not your hands I'm worried about." Shit. He said that out loud didn't he?
Eliot quirked an eyebrow. "What was that?"
"Nothin'," Quinn muttered.
Eliot huffed. "If you behave yourself, I'll make you breakfast in the morning."
"Not much in the pantry to work with here." Quinn kept the place stocked with canned goods and emergency supplies only. He was regretting that decision now.
Eliot leaned back on the bed, arms tucked behind his head. "Well, then I guess you don't have to behave."
Quinn grinned. "Now that's the best damn news I've heard in a while." And just like that, neither of them felt all that tired.

Allies in The Last Dam Job
There's this fun bit of attention to detail In The Last Dam Job when they're discussing how to get Dubenich:
Tumblr media
This isn't quite the full gif but what it is is that Sophie says that Dubenich is going to know every friend, every person that they would be expected to go to for help. And Nate looks at Eliot and goes "we find someone who is not a friend" to Sophie and Parker "someone who is not in the game" to Hardison "someone we do not trust." And that's exactly what happens.
Eliot recruits Quinn who we last saw trying to kick the shit out of Eliot:
Tumblr media
Parker recruits Archie who is retired:
Tumblr media
Sophie recruits Maggie who is the token honest friend in this heist show:
Tumblr media
And Hardison recruits Chaos who they all hate for trying to kill Sophie:
Tumblr media
It's just a good bit of attention to detail.

re: "All I’m saying is the fact that someone isn’t talking to me about Eliot Spencer every second of every day is very unfair and borderline illegal." & tags - if you want to, can you elaborate on your werewolf!eliot ideas?? i’d like to hear about it!! if not all good tho :)
Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Yes I would love to elaborate! (buckle up because i have Thoughts)
(wow this really got away from me so uhhh .... warning for 2k of ranting about Eliot as a werewolf?? list of headcanons under the cut)
From the moment I first met Eliot Spencer, I knew he was werewolf-coded. Aside from his insanely fantastic fighting abilities and the absurd amount of punishment he can take, there are many other factors that contribute to his werewolf status.
Eliot needs a pack Our boy is out here working on his own for years and look at all the good it did him! None! He carries severe trauma from his family life because he blames himself for how it all went down and doesn't think he'll be welcomed back. Plus something probably happened during his military days or early PMC days to put him off working with others. Could have been the pain of losing people all the time, could have been something more. Either way, Eliot working on his own is a defence mechanism - but a self-destructive one.
Wolves thrive in packs - like duh, they're pack animals. As my username suggests, I'm into werewolves and, by extension, wolves. I've done research for my own werewolf novels in the past, so I know that in an average wolf pack, each pack member will have physical contact with the other pack members on the regular. Like, several times an hour! (gosh if I can find the research paper this info came from I'll link it but honestly it's been years) That's a serious level of physical contact required to keep the emotional bonds of the pack healthy!
Flick back to Eliot. He loves to fight, he loves the violence and the pain, yes. He hates the killing and the blood on his hands. He actually tries to leave the assassin world behind after he meets Toby (which is before he meets Moreau, as per early dialogue in The French Connection Job). He bonds quickly with Toby. Show Eliot a little love and care and he's yours for life! He moves onto retrieval work, then somehow ends up working for Moreau.
Now, when we see Eliot and Moreau in The Big Bang Job, Moreau says, "You work alone." Which means that Eliot had that reputation when he came to Moreau. He probably only took contracts to start off with. But he accepted job after job from Moreau and was so good that he was highly respect and it's inferred he ended up as Moreau's top bodyguard/assassin. Why the hell would Eliot end up that close to a man who brings out all the worst in him? Because Eliot's a werewolf and no matter how toxic, Moreau fulfills the need for a pack bond that he's been missing all this time.
Fast forward to Eliot meeting the rest of the Leverage team. One job only - my ass. He saves Hardison's life after Hardison brought a gun to their little meeting - and we all know how Eliot feels about guns.
Wolves are designed to live and operate in packs. Eliot says it's one job only but is bonding with them all from the get-go. Werewolf trait confirmed.
Eliot needs physical touch Now, I know what you're thinking. Eliot canonically avoids physical contact with the team. He refuses hugs, especially from Hardison, growls at Parker poking his bruises (don't get me started on the growls), and shoves people (ahem Parker) out of his personal space. So why would he do all this if he needs physical touch??
Because he's one gigantic ball of angst and self-loathing and guilt.
Eliot doesn't think he deserves forgiveness or love or family, etc. That is a whole other rant, but he denies himself the physical contact he needs with others as a way of punishing himself.
However, as the series progresses, we see him become more comfortable with physical contact! He hugs Hardison several times, he doesn't move away from Parker, etc. Why? Because he's bonded with this team (ahem pack) and there's only so much he can suppress his instincts. The more time he spends with them, the more naturally the contact flows.
Eliot needs to protect others Whenever we get a scene of the team walking as a group, where is Eliot positioned 90% of the time?? That's right, at the back of the group. He lets the others walk in pairs and falls back to bring up the rear. He's keeping them all in his line of sight and constantly scanning for threats ahead, along with protecting the team from any rear attacks. It makes sense for him to do this given his military background, but it also makes sense for a werewolf to do this.
He's the only werewolf in the team. His instincts revolve around keeping the pack safe and protected, so he does that in the best way he knows how.
Not to mention how feral gets over kids!!
Wolf life is all about the pack and the family structure. Pups are integral to the pack's survival and future. Eliot doesn't have kids of his own. But that doesn't stop his instincts from blaring every time he interacts with a kid, be it on the con or off. He takes time out every time to help that kid in an attempt to calm the raging storm of instincts inside his body.
Eliot needs to feed others It's another werewolf instinct that rears its head when they're in the safety of their headquarters (ahem den). Protecting the team/pack from physical threats is just one aspect of taking care of them. Feeding them is the other major one.
None of these idiots can cook to save their lives - except Nate, but he's also drowning his liver 90% of the time, so Eliot has to compensate for that, too. The team can't operate at full capacity if they're not consuming good nutrition. So Eliot makes sure to feed them.
His humanity recognises that these are independent people - coworkers - and he can't control every meal of every day. But he can cook for them, once a week or once a job, which is just enough to satisfy his instincts that he's doing his part to care for them. Plus they love his cooking, and the praise he gets from it is an unexpected but pleasant bonus.
Eliot and team sports/kitchens This ties in with my first point about Eliot needing a pack, but all the times we see Eliot go super hard and get absorbed in the role he's playing are when he's on a team sport or he's in the kitchen. Both of these fulfill super important instincts for him - being in a team/pack and providing food for others.
Think about The Tap-Out Job. Eliot's playing a fighter but he's not pretending to be on a team. He doesn't get over-invested in the role. But what about when he's a baseball player? A hockey player? He falls into those roles hard because he's working with another team again, and this little werewolf is built for that environment. Same in The French Connection: the kitchen becomes his den, the students are his pack mates, and he goes hard at investing in them and protecting them. Never mind the personal aspect of Toby.
Same for episodes like The Fairy Godparents Job when we get a scene of Eliot teaching a bunch of girls self-defence. Team setting + protecting kids = happy werewolf instincts.
So, werewolf headcanons? I have a lot of different origin theories but the main one I like for Eliot is:
he became a werewolf either for a covert military op, or was bitten by Moreau (choose your own angst flavour)
if it was for the military, they were trying to engineer supersoldiers and he was deemed a failure; he has werewolf instincts all the time but only has enhanced strength, healing, etc on full moons
if it was bitten by Moreau, there's a psychic-style bond linking them, which is why he was so loyal to Moreau for so long, and also why he is so reluctant to go after Moreau
(wow this is too different theories already and i said this was my 'main one' whoops)
Eliot can only shift easily on the full moon; shifting outside of a full moon can only be caused by extreme stress and is ridiculously painful
he suffers an insanely high prey drive all the time and is so strict about his control because he doesn't actually wanna rip out the throat of Random Guard #3
he used to chain himself up for full moons so he didn't hurt anyone, but since the team found out about him, Hardison and Parker have taken it upon themselves to 'puppy-sit' him every full moon
this involves no chains but an obscene amount of dog chew toys. Eliot is never impressed. He also never chases or chews the toys. The video evidence Hardison has was obviously doctored.
Hardison and Parker found out the truth when a con went sideways and Eliot was trapped in a room with them during the full moon
he was terrified he was going to kill them - or worse, bite them - but his instincts recognised them as pack so instead he just tried to wrestle with them all night
Hardison had a major freak out when he discovered Eliot was a werewolf - it's one thing to be obsessed with sci-fi/fantasy, it's another thing entirely to see your best friend transform before your eyes
Parker was not even remotely phased, being all like, "pfft of course werewolves are real, I thought you knew that Hardison, you talk about your elves and orcs all the time!"
"Woman that is completely different and you know it!"
"What else do you think is fake? The tooth fairy?? Ha!"
Eliot is Done With Their Shenanigans
Parker only ever refers to Eliot as Sparky when he's in his wolf form
Sophie didn't actually know about werewolves before the reveal but she pretends that she did
Nate knew about werewolves before Eliot, he just chooses to pretend that they're Not A Thing
werewolves generally don't make good hitters, because the constant exposure to violence ramps up their hunting instincts aka they find it hard not to kill
of course, this doesn't matter if you're someone like Moreau who specifically wants killing machines and thus turns his top hitters into werewolves, to ensure loyalty and enhance his strength
the only other werewolf hitter not under Moreau's control that Eliot knows is Quinn, who most certainly did not pull his werewolf strength punches when they tousled in The First David Job
Quinn doesn't have a pack (werewolf or otherwise) and genuinely doesn't seem phased by this, which pisses off Eliot to no end
however, after they work together in The Last Dam Job, Quinn deems himself Eliot's Best Werewolf Bud and keeps popping up randomly to hang out on full moons, etc
Parker and Hardison are a bit weirded out (and a little jealous) of Quinn's attention initially, but soon get over that when they discover that two werewolves on a full moon absolutely play for hours like 6 month old puppies - especially with the tug rope
Eliot is Extremely Susceptible to belly rubs even in his human form, which is half the reason he pushes people out of his personal space a lot - his reputation would never survive anyone finding out
of course the entire team figures it out and take to ambushing him with belly rubs whenever he's being stubborn or annoying
belly rubs are also the only way he will relax enough when he's injured so they can treat his wounds
despite the incessant dog jokes, the ever-growing pile of dog toys, and the bowls labelled with "Sparky" and cartoon bone symbols ... Eliot absolutely adores the pack he's found himself in and wouldn't change them for the world
One of these days I will sit down and write a thousand fics for werewolf!Eliot! Till then, I'll just keep churning out the headcanons ;)

Fictober Day 3: Leverage - pushing boundaries
Prompt: “That was not my intention.” Title: pushing boundaries Fandom: Leverage Ship: Alec Hardison/Parker/Eliot Spencer, Mr. Quinn/Eliot Spencer Rating: Mature Warnings: explicit  conversation about sexual activity. Length: 1,211 words Summary: When Eliot stops returning his calls, Quinn decides to take matters into his own hands. Of course, Parker and Hardison have to get involved too.
Quinn leaned against the bookshelf and struck a casual pose even though he was almost positive that Eliot already knew he was there. Eliot turned around and scowled. "How did you get in here?"
He looked tired. Quinn wondered about how much sleep Eliot was getting lately. He tended to burn the candle at both ends a bit more than Quinn liked.
"What, you think I just hit stuff? You of all people should know better than that."
"I didn't mean you picking the lock," Eliot growled.
"Did you mean, what am I doing here when you've been very purposefully avoiding me for weeks." Not that Quinn had been hurt by it or anything. He'd just been worried, that was it.
"I haven't been avoiding you, I just haven't seen you."
"And you haven't picked up any of my calls either."
"I've been busy, doesn't mean you can go breaking into my place, man."
"And you haven't called me back." Quinn pushed away from the wall and took a step closer to Eliot. "I was worried. I thought something might have happened to you."
Eliot studied him for a moment, and nodded, seemingly satisfied with what he saw. "That was not my intention." Eliot raked his fingers through his hair roughly.
"Which part? The not returning my phone calls or the part where you were ducking them, to begin with?" Okay, maybe Quinn was feeling a little hurt.
"That's not what I was doing?" Eliot sputtered.
"Really? So it's been my imagination that you've been avoiding me ever since we sucked each other's cocks."
"Shhh..." Eliot whipped his head around like he was making sure no one was around to hear.
"What, you afraid your teammates are gonna find out? Is that what the problem is? Is that why you've been avoiding me?"
"No," Eliot scoffed.
"Then, what is it?"
"It's complicated."
Quinn sighed. "Yeah, okay." He turned around. "It always is, isn't it?" He started walking. He didn't know what the hell he thought coming here was going to accomplish.
"Quinn, wait."
Quinn stopped and turned around.
"Come on, let me make you lunch while I try to explain it."
He sat down at the table and watched as Eliot sliced chicken into thin slices, doused it in some sort of marinade concoction he threw together, and then tossed it in the fridge. Quinn liked watching Eliot cook. He'd only had the pleasure once before and that time had been a quick grilled cheese. This was a treat. The way Eliot's hand gently gripped the knife, the ease of the way he did everything without even cracking open a cookbook. It was so enthralling it took him several minutes to realize Eliot was stalling. "Thought you were going to explain everything while you cooked," Quinn pointed out.
"Gimme a few minutes here to get everything started. I still have the tortillas to make."
Tortillas to make? Who the hell made tortillas from scratch on a whim? Eliot Spencer, apparently. Quinn watched and waited. Finally, Eliot got to the point in the food preparations that he felt able to have a conversation. "The thing is, me and Parker and Hardison, we're more than just a team."
"Yeah, yeah, you're a family. You've told me this before." Quinn had always thought the closeness of team Leverage was a little odd, but who was he to judge? It seemed to work for them alright.
Eliot looked down at the counter. "Yeah, no. We're a little more than that."
Quinn raised an eyebrow. "You mean y'all knock boots together?"
Eliot looked up, crossed his arms, and nodded. As if he was daring Quinn to make something of it.
"All three of you?" Quinn asked for clarification.
"Yeah all three of us, you got a problem with that?" Eliot's voice was rough and tinged with anger.
Quinn put his hands up. "Whoa, no need to be defensive. I'm just trying to get a clear view of the matter, is all."
"Sorry, it's-" Eliot shook his head, words failing him.
"It's complicated, I get it. So, are you saying that when you and I -- you know.." Quinn rubbed his chin. He didn't want to say the wrong thing and have Eliot putting his fist in his face. "That you were cheating?"
"Nah, that's not it." Eliot turned around and got a cast iron skillet out of the cabinet. "You're kinda my free pass."
"I'm you're what?"
Eliot shrugged. "My free pass. Alec and Parker knew I was interested in you, there was a conversation, and they said they were cool with us starting something or whatever."
Quinn grinned. "You had a conversation about the possibility of hooking up with me?"
"Shut up."
"Then why ghost me?"
"I was supposed to let them know if something happened between us and I hadn't gotten around to it yet." Eliot started rolling out the tortillas and Quinn let the conversation lull. By the time Eliot had the chicken and peppers cooking, they were no longer alone.
Parker punched Quinn on the arm in what he was sure she meant in an affectionate manner but was hard enough to hurt either way. "Hey Quinn, did Eliot finally stop ignoring you?"
"No ma'am, he did not. I had to break in here to get his attention."
Parker's eyes went wide. "You broke in?"
"No, he did not." Hardison planted a kiss on the top of Parker's head and sat down at the table. "He was making such a fool out of himself that I took pity on him and unlocked the door remotely to speed this whole thing along."
Well, that explained why it was so easy to get into this place. Apparently, he'd been invited.
"Move what whole thing along?" Eliot set a plate of tortillas in the center of the table, Parker jumped up to get the plates, and Hardison stayed right where he was sitting as Eliot set the table up with the chicken, and all sorts of little accompaniments to wrap up in the tortillas. It looked and smelled delicious.
"The conversation," Parker said.
"You know, the one where you tell us about your little thing with Quinn and where it's going," Hardison said.
Uh-oh. Had he walked into some sort of trap? He turned to Eliot but he looked just about as freaked out as Quinn felt.
"Can't we just share a meal together in peace?" Eliot sat down and grabbed a plate.
Hardison turned to Eliot. "Do you like him?"
Eliot growled. He actually fucking growled.
"Do you like him? Yes or no?" Hardison repeated himself.
"Yeah, yeah. I like him." Eliot didn't look exactly happy about it.
"Okay, good." Hardison turned his attention to Quinn. "Do you like Eliot?"
Quinn leaned back in his chair and smiled. "Yeah, he's not so bad."
Parker clapped her hands. "Yay!"
Eliot shook his head. "Now can we eat?"
"Yeah, we can eat. Just don't go thinking this here's the end of the conversation," Hardison said.
Eliot shook his head and Quinn smiled. He had a feeling getting involved with Eliot Spencer was going to be a bit more complicated than he'd first thought. He welcomed the challenge though. Especially if it came with more meals like this.

An incomplete list of things I want from season 3 of leverage redemption:
More Parker running the cons! (Nate passed on the roll of mastermind to her for a reason, damnit!)
Eliot's hair beads and more floof please (#freethefloof2024)
Sterling!
On a similar note: Mr. Quinn, McSweeten, and Dr. Paul
Can Hardison please be in it more than he was the last two seasons! Please! I need my three soul bonded faves to be together again! (I understand why that might not be possible, but I want it🥺)
Let Eliot Spencer get more hugs!
Historical au episode centered around Eliot and Hardison. Someone suggested it be an old Western theme and now i can't stop thinking about it! (Sorry I don't remember who suggested it, but if you know, feel free to tag them or let me know so I can tag them)
A whole episode with just Eliot, Hardison, and Parker doing crime shenanigans and bonding/making up for lost time since Hardison was gone for so long.
Musical episodes!
I want Eliot to shoot a bow and arrow.
