People be like "it's OK to take a break from everything!!" without realising that it's not a break for fans who were following the french ccs. It's a permanent leave.

Like, imagine that your favorite egg(s) and cc(s) left because of mismanagement overnight. Really, imagine it for a second. Your faves don't show up anymore. Quackity doesn't even acknowledge they're gone despite the fault lying on his studio. Imagine having to "take a break" after that. Truly put yourself in our shoes for a second.

You need to realise that right now, "Taking a break" feels more like "accepting that we're being kicked out without a word"

It is. Deeply. Deeply. Frustrating. Especially since the problems in question were consistently pointed out by fans and ccs.

Also, for the record, I DID try to take a break. And then literally the next day Pomme's and Dapper's admins left. So yeah I'm done waiting. I want solutions to the problems we've been screaming about for months.

If not for us, then at least for the rest of you.

Sorry if you think im being impatient. That i don't give Quackity enough grace. But the problem with the integration of the french community started day one. It's normal for us fans to assume the best, to assume that surely, those were just one-off errors and that they were being resolved behind the scene. But it's not normal for Quackity to do the same.

How tf did Quackity let it slide for so long without investigating the cause? Did he even notice/care that we were consistently left out? How did he not know that Lumi was the only french admin on the team? Why did he seemingly not talk to any of the admins in private even ONCE in an entire year ?

Say what you want, that he's young, that he's overwhelmed, that he never managed such a big team, that he blindly trusted the management he put in place, all that is true... but that doesn't erase the fact that he himself took these risks. It's his own fault for creating such an ambitious server without the necessary skills to oversee every aspect of it. And im sorry if his mental health takes a toll because of this situation but it is NOT hate to point these facts out.

Ways that the QSMP could be funded without breaking Quackity’s bank:

Patreon: opening a qsmp patreon with different rewards (admin pov streams, exclusive merch, behind the scenes, HD quality of the art used on the server) might be the easiest way to get funds for the server, and it does not need to use q’s money to start (the qsmp yt channel memberships can also work like this)

Constant Merch: we have been asking for merch since the brazilians arrived and the translator was added as we have always known that it is a very expensive investment. egg merch is the most obvious way as they are perfect marketable plushies but also cucurucho and now the bunnies are amazing for a variety of things (plushies, keychains, stickers). the only bad thing about this is that q would have to pay for the initial drop.

Sponsorships: i think i have never seen quackity do a sponsored stream like… ever. the closest sponsor i see happening would of course be duolingo as a lot of qsmp members have been doing duolingo ON stream ever since the server started (and even before in foosh’s case)

Joining an Org: i see this one as the very last ditch effort but joining an org like offlinetv would help q with the server’s finances

i love the qsmp and i would hate seeing the project end because quackity decided to pay the admins after someone shit face admin decided to go on a power trip

not even writing his own lore or streams …. 😶

I don’t think that admins writing lore for a cc is a problem in itself, at least it wouldn’t be if they were fairly compensated for doing so.

For example, we knew that Jaiden pretty much let the admins do whatever they wanted for her character, but I think there’s a difference between this and straight up wanting someone to write a whole script for your stream.

And even then, if people were doing it and being paid for it the amount they deserved, why not. But it kinda makes me, personally, a bit bitter to know that Quackity got so many flowers for the QSMP while doing so little himself. Because at this point, we know that :

-He wasn’t streaming much on the server

-Wasn’t writing lore for himself or for the server in general.

-Wasn’t much involved in the preparation for the events. -Wasn’t involved in the behind the scenes/admin side of things since he said he didn’t know anything about the situation.

So yeah he still had a great idea by creating the QSMP, it’s an amazing project on paper that still was able to, at least to an extent, unite communities for all over the world. But I can’t help but feel eeeeeh seeing him receive awards and compliments for it now that we know what was actually going on. Kinda like if the producer of a movie was receiving prizes for it while the directors, writers and actors are eating dirt.

At the end of the day him not writing his lore is such an unimportant detail compared to what the admins went through, but it still adds to the pile.

The QSMP character admins not getting paid is fucking ridiculous, same for the update accounts. The higher up admins literally making specific decisions that they knew would create massive drama in the community, resulting in most of the issues from purgatory 1 (which got several cc's to completely burn out, and their fans being sent death threats).

The fact that they sent contracts to the admins, made the admins sign them, but never actually signed it on their end, and then threatened legal action after they publicly discussed pay...

We've known there were some issues behind the scenes for the QSMP for a while, especially the French cc's have been open about it, but today the French admins spoke up too, and it was so much worse than expected. I shouldn't be this pissed off, but I am.

The QSMP has been putting itself on the market as the inclusive server, (despite being incredibly white, cis & straight with only a few exceptions, but that's a different question) but they can't even be bothered to respond to questions from cc's if they don't see the cc in question as important enough.

This seriously needs to be addressed, because clearly the QSMP management is on a trip, and apparently, Quackity has given them so much freedom that he doesn't even know about any of it.

Idk about yall...but as much as i love the project i've kinda lost the passion i had with it. Seeing so much bad stuff happening and most people (as in players and in community) not even addressing it makes me really upset. Of course no one has an obligation to address anything, nut it does taste sour.

And quackity's response to this was so..shallow. as if one of his friends wasn't harassed until he had to expose parts of his life that he didn't even want to share.

I love this server (anyone that checks my blog and/or ao3 will see it) and i don't want this post to be read as hate towards quackity, or the players or the adimins , but i think i will need a break from it. At least from the main tags, all pf this made me not enjoy the server as much, and whats the point in following something you are not enjoying?

I am mad that people looked at the mess of the union and completley ignored the fact that pommes admin had psycological effects from this server. ramons admin got fired without their knowledge and yet people decided to focus on the union and the awards.

I spoke about it before, but these people don't truly care about the admins. I was hoping people would open their eyes a bit of the scale of what's happening with Lumi's and Shade's statement but nothing changed.

The admins are simply an afterthought. They just want to know that it's "okay" to continue watching without feeling guilty. Or they don't hide that it has nothing to do with them at all.

I truly would like to know if they would care more if it's a POV they watch? If it's their favorite's egg?

My favorite POV is breakfast club + TazerCraft and my favorite egg is Empanada. I could keep watching and ignoring all this mess, but I simply can't. Because this situation is fucked up.

And I'm baffled how extremely cold people are. When I went to check here people's reaction about Lumi and Shade coming to the public I was shocked to see people were just like "Welp, QSMP isn't about the eggs anyways. they're supposed to be temporary oh well".

How people can read about Lumi's statement of working her ass off for free, to being morally harassed and pretty much kicked out of the project even before Lea started spilling the beans. How are they okay with Quackity saying to the CCs that Pomme will come back while not saying a word to her, which led to her eventually quitting?

They really believe the "evil bad admins" were dealt with and now it's all sunshine and rainbows in the future. And the merch, including those of admins who left because they couldn't stand the treatment they were getting? Totally will go to their pockets, guys. Believe me, it's sooo obvious.

after rewatching the fundy's mind stream, i absolutely fucking refuse that the lnv ending is the last we'll see of him and quackity. no. i cannot accept it. i genuinely feel like there has to be one more lore stream.

i'll probs make a proper re-analysis post of the entire stream, but for now, i think we can confirm that a few things:

the forewarned mystery man is quackity.

if this is the case, then something quackity will do will destroy fundy as per what the book says.

there is still an unknown truth the books keep secret from fundy since it believes it may "hurt" him.

it makes sense, then, that the "go to sleep" comments could be metaphors for fundy to remain ignorant of this forbidden truth.

the thing is, i think fundy has found this forbidden truth. what do i think it is? well, based on his meetup with wilbur, it might have to do with the fact that he will never get the recognition that will satiate his longing hunger for it.

it's a long jump, i know, but we know that this is the one truth that fundy dismisses all the time. the core of his need for recognition stems from his lack of approval from wilbur. this is why he jumps from nation to nation, person to person. he wants to amend this, but as we know in the dsmp, closure is a luxury.

others' approval of him may be lackluster, but the alternative is to accept that nothing others will say can fix his lack of closure from wilbur, his lack of self-worth.

but when he first accepts it, when he first rejects this mindset, he hurts. he admits it in front of wilbur, then he jumps.

like what the book says, the truth will hurt him. it's hard to stomach the idea that nothing comes out of the hard work you've exerted into something.

which brings us to this question: how in the hell did he internalize this perspective? for the longest time, fundy utilizes others to patch his self-worth, or he submits to vulnerability and says he misses wilbur. but we never find him internalize the possibility that closure is never attainable.

cue: alex quackity. he HAS to be involved somehow, i know it.

in the book, it mentions how this mystery man—now established as quackity—will do something to hurt fundy and destroy everything he cares about. the book even warns him to not join lnv due to these facts. but as we know, fundy joins lnv.

however, most interactions we've seen of quackity and fundy are, i feel, still at the beginning of something bigger. fundy has not established much of a big role in lnv, nor have we seen him and quackity get into anything past the introduction stages.

but in the book, we know quackity has to have ruined something. it's forewarned that he'd destroy an aspect of fundy's life. so, what is it?

more than anything, i think quackity has got to do with fundy letting go of his recognition-chasing mindset. i don't know how he does it, but it would make sense. if it's hinted that what quackity does would "hurt fundy and destroy everything he cares about", what more can he do than break fundy's dependency on people altogether? say or do something so fucked that it practically ruins fundy, becoming his final push to let his mindset go?

then, the "hurt" quackity would cause would be fundy's jump. "destroy everything he cares about" would be less "i will physically destroy all your attachments," and more "i will ruin your perspective on your attachments so you dettach them from your life yourself."

this would then coencide with fundy's current isolation arc, when he doesn't allow himself to care for other people at ALL. not even a smidge of care, because quackity has tarnished it.

THUS, I FEEL LIKE THERE SHOULD BE ONE MORE LORE STREAM. to give context on as to HOW quackity ruined fundy. it just makes sense and would tie some loose ends of his dream plotline together.

Also the way they all got summarily kicked out just felt like him lashing out and punishing the workers for Léa's whistleblowing and the fans for daring to get outraged

Admittedly this is a very bad faith interpretation of something that could just be a simple over-correction out of panic, but like... furloughing your workers for an indefinite time without a warning is not a reasonable move actually!

Everything in Lea’s interview only cemented the fact that the QSMP really is just the biggest shitshow ever, but one thing that took me by surprise is how badly the prison arc development was managed

The more I learn about QStudio, the more it makes it easy for me to just drop the whole project, honestly. Like what’s the point.

They let the server run as an empty shell.

They clearly give 0 shits about any of the admins that dared to point out problems.

And now we learned that the people who weren’t fired have probably just stayed in the studio because of « privileged » treatment + trauma bonding + manipulation from upper management making them think that the admins who spoke up are liars

[Edit: the situation is more complicated, but this statement up here is going off the assumption that some of the people who are still on the team were never paid and their passion + loyalty are still being exploited, notably to throw the ex admins under the bus. This might be false. They might have been paid fairly since the beginning and are just trying to keep their job. We don't know. But that was my assumption when writing it.]
