People be like "it's OK to take a break from everything!!" without realising that it's not a break for fans who were following the french ccs. It's a permanent leave.

Like, imagine that your favorite egg(s) and cc(s) left because of mismanagement overnight. Really, imagine it for a second. Your faves don't show up anymore. Quackity doesn't even acknowledge they're gone despite the fault lying on his studio. Imagine having to "take a break" after that. Truly put yourself in our shoes for a second.

You need to realise that right now, "Taking a break" feels more like "accepting that we're being kicked out without a word"

It is. Deeply. Deeply. Frustrating. Especially since the problems in question were consistently pointed out by fans and ccs.

Also, for the record, I DID try to take a break. And then literally the next day Pomme's and Dapper's admins left. So yeah I'm done waiting. I want solutions to the problems we've been screaming about for months.

If not for us, then at least for the rest of you.

Sorry if you think im being impatient. That i don't give Quackity enough grace. But the problem with the integration of the french community started day one. It's normal for us fans to assume the best, to assume that surely, those were just one-off errors and that they were being resolved behind the scene. But it's not normal for Quackity to do the same.

How tf did Quackity let it slide for so long without investigating the cause? Did he even notice/care that we were consistently left out? How did he not know that Lumi was the only french admin on the team? Why did he seemingly not talk to any of the admins in private even ONCE in an entire year ?

Say what you want, that he's young, that he's overwhelmed, that he never managed such a big team, that he blindly trusted the management he put in place, all that is true... but that doesn't erase the fact that he himself took these risks. It's his own fault for creating such an ambitious server without the necessary skills to oversee every aspect of it. And im sorry if his mental health takes a toll because of this situation but it is NOT hate to point these facts out.

While I certainly have my opinions on Quackity and QSMP as a whole, I do want to remind everyone that if you do see someone upset about this, show them compassion.

It’s hard learning that someone you looked up to isn’t the person you thought you knew. And although our situations are quite different, the emotions can be similar.

So if you see a sad QSMPer: offer them a helping hand. Let them know that there are still places to have love and passion and that even misplaced love is still beautiful and it should be treasured.

I don't particularly care about the current argument over the union, it's pure distraction to shift the discussion away from the actual problems, as if anyone here actually cares about the union and not just what the union can possibly facilitate

But I do care about the employees and former employees of QSMP and they deserve respect and dignity and credit, not slander or vague passive-aggressive accusations

Which I've unfortunately seen even from people I know and care about, even people I follow or used to follow here on Tumblr, even people I consider friends

So, I feel like I should just be honest here, idk how I'm gonna handle this diplomatically in order not to burn too many bridges unnecessarily, because I don't actually want to lose people over this, but I do also have principles

I had no animosity towards Quackity before this, I hope you can see that from my blog history; I've never been a cc!Quackity hater. Unfortunately at this point I do need to see him do better than this, because his employees and former employees deserve better

If he does actually try to make it all up for them, if he actually talks to them with respect and a willingness to listen to their concerns and their experiences, then I have no more beef with him

I don't think he's a bad person, but he is doing a bad thing

It's his server. If he actually doesn't know, then that's a problem. It's neglect of the people who play on and work for this server. This dude can't constantly say how proud he is of his project and then not be involved enough to know what is happening behind the scenes.

People weren't allowed to talk about Wilbur or Forever because it was seen as CONTROVERSIES. That is actively protecting abusers from being deplatformed! That's also not controversies; those are actual abusers who hurt people and shouldn't be swept under the rug!

When you want to start a project that is about connecting people from different communities and in different languages, you can't make your admins sign an NDA! You can't force them to not talk to each other when it comes to said projects and therefore stop them from knowing about events soon enough.

This isn't some school project where someone puts zero work into it and then takes all the praise for it. This is about people who try to make a living out of this, and paying them minimum wage is vile. They do so much work! And the admins on Twitter who look for clips and make edits, etc., don't even get paid AT ALL. One admin drew a commission and never got paid for it!

Also targeting certain Eggs where the streamer will have the most emotional reaction just for content is disgusting. It gives off emotional manipulation vibes. Some streamers were actually in distress because of this and all for content!

One admin was afraid to talk about the 🍉 genocide (don't wanna get this into the tag cause it's more important to use it to spread awareness) because they feared getting fired! Don't you see how fucked up this is?

I just can't believe that Quackity wasn't aware of ANY of this stuff. And again, if he was, that's just as problematic!

I really hope that all admins will start a strike to finally get the payment they deserve. I hope the CCs playing on this server aren't aware of any of this (but considering how some said how tiring they felt from the egg stuff only for one day later to praise it, I doubt they don't know at least a bit). I hope Quackity finally has the fucking balls to talk about this. Just ONCE he should open his mouth and address this.

And if y'all don't see it the same way, then I have lost all hope in humanity.

immersible disappointment in Quackity it was not malicious but his neglect still led to the constant abuse of workers, and regardless of whatever his intent was he should have done better. The admins are real people, real people that got hurt and were never treated with the care they deserved.

i'm so annoyed. i got my phone number posted on twitter by a quackity/qsmp fan and had to go to the police and get a lawyer all because as an ojibwe person i said something about the racism. and as someone who was a fan of quackity and was watching the qsmp, it hurt that he said nothing. it hurt even more that the rest of the mcyt community said nothing.

Everything in Lea’s interview only cemented the fact that the QSMP really is just the biggest shitshow ever, but one thing that took me by surprise is how badly the prison arc development was managed

Wdym Quackity ordered for drastic changes THE DAY BEFORE it was supposed to be shipped?

The more I learn about QStudio, the more it makes it easy for me to just drop the whole project, honestly. Like what’s the point.

They let the server run as an empty shell.

They clearly give 0 shits about any of the admins that dared to point out problems.

And now we learned that the people who weren’t fired have probably just stayed in the studio because of « privileged » treatment + trauma bonding + manipulation from upper management making them think that the admins who spoke up are liars

[Edit: the situation is more complicated, but this statement up here is going off the assumption that some of the people who are still on the team were never paid and their passion + loyalty are still being exploited, notably to throw the ex admins under the bus. This might be false. They might have been paid fairly since the beginning and are just trying to keep their job. We don't know. But that was my assumption when writing it.]

I never want to hear another person try to excuse Quackity by trying to claim that he was just an idiot and didn't know what was going on in the behind the scenes. He actively knew and partook in the exploitation of the volunteers and workers just so he can get attention and views.

QSMP was never a "passion project" for him.

kind of feeling like the rest of the fandom just wants french fans to shut up and leave already :|... why should we be trusting quackity when he hasnt even given any more updates on anything. ("ill keep you updated everyone" -quackity (lying) on his stream addressing issues). "trust that theyre working on it!!!" is starting to feel more and more like people are actually meaning "omg stop complaining so much!!! youre ruining my enjoyment".

of course the new announcements feel like damage control why would we expect anything else? they refuse to talk about anything and start to dangle shiny new things in front of the rest of the fandom so they get distracted from french complaints. why should we trust that anything is happening when the syndicat says that the fired admins havent even been contacted by anyone after more than a week?

im so done at this point :|. i cant even lurk on twitter anymore because all the french accounts i looked at either went inactive, private, or deactivated entirely because of how many death threats they were getting for daring to expect more of quackity.

i dont necessarily think Q was lying or is trying to sweep the situation under the rug but yeah ! people can and SHOULD be wanting more communication and transparency
