Thinking about the Philza Polycule's reaction to qPhil getting corrupted/possessed by the Ender King.

Missa terrified, confused, and worst of all guilty as shit because maybe he could've stopped this if he wasn't gone so often, if he wasn't so out of the loop constantly. He could've helped Phil. If he caught it early enough he could've gotten others to help him. He barely knows who Rose is let alone Ender King. This whole thing is so much bigger than him but if he'd just been around more, maybe he'd have even a shred more knowledge to help his husband.

Fit absolutely PISSED, both at the situation and himself. Phil TOLD HIM about this "Ender King" ages ago and he never thought to check in about the whole deal with it ever again. Even if he doesn't understand it and even if Phil seemed extremely uncomfortable saying the asshole's name let alone going into detail about whoever or whatever the fuck it is, he should've still made sure Phil was doing alright. It was clear enough this was something he needed SOME kind of support for. He's arguably the person that sees Phil the most on the island, how did he fuck up this badly?

Etoiles light-heartedly brushing the whole thing off. Phil is strong! He is the GOAT! He will come out of this fine! But on the inside, he's terrified and doesn't know how to begin to understand what's going on. These are affirmations for himself just as much as anyone else who hears them. It's the only way he knows how to cope. He's been blindsided by this. Phil is always so strong. He has to believe Phil can beat a god. What else can he do?

To stir up some interest beyond my friend groups, here's the basic premise for my qPhil-centric fic that I'm going to write:

Phil gets a message from Rose warning him that the Ender King will make his first move soon. Phil hasn't been able to stop thinking about the implication of EK lacking a vessel meaning he plans to use Phil in some way.

Well, he isn't wrong. Over the span of a week, Phil notices himself experiencing odd behaviors that he normally wouldn't exhibit. He doesn't want to admit it to himself, but he's slowly becoming possessed by Ender King.

He's terrified, but in classic him fashion, he doesn't want to burden anyone who cares about him. He spends the days fighting tooth and nail to remain inconspicuous in front of Chayanne, Tallulah, and his QPR polycule (Missa, Fit & Etoiles) and their other friends while his condition worsens.

Eventually, he ends up fully possessed, and it's up to the polycule & potentially the aid of other islanders to save Phil from a malevolent deity they barely know anything about.

(If anyone wants to send asks about it, I'm down to talk about parts of it! Plot, characters, anything like that! :D)

Edit: I have named the fic "Awake Me From My Nightmare" :D
