Honestly love these guys, the best enemy designs in genshin, they're cooler than like 50% of the named characters. I like the fatui skirmishers even more than the elite enemies.

A lot of the new enemies kind of blend into various unrecognizable reskins of a "damage blob", the Sumeru/Inzauma enemies, that you just dump atacks into and that.

I like enemies that actually take effort to navigate and deal with, the ruin robots and even the freaking Hilichurls are more satisfying to fight than random samurai #276 or random desert merc #1167.

And the Fatui enemies are the epitome of that. Their elemental shields actually give 100% immunity to any type execpt it's counter. And the fact that they actually work together, seriously, 3/6 of the enemies are dedicated SUPPORT units,

watching them work together is so cool, seeing them help each other, heal, revive, etc.

--you have a frontline shielder with the anemo guy, a healer with the hydro guy, and a defensive mage with the geo guy.

the hammer guy has the most dificult to counter shield, and actually hits hard. The pyro guy straight up has a gun, and the cryo guy, while annoying, is pretty damn fair.

The concept of poly geochanter/reader/pyroslinger was brought up to me by @sea-of-dandelions in the past and honestly, kinda thinking about it again....

Geo is always trying to be the responsible one. A little overbearing at times, but you know he always has both yours and Pyro's best interests at heart. This does sometimes look like shielding Pyro out on the field, or making sure he's home to make you dinner. Other times it looks like Geo making sure you're all in bed at a reasonable time.

Pyro on the other hand, he's much less responsible. Not to say he isn't responsible at all, but more he's a little too confident in himself. Whilst this does manifest as slight recklessness in the field, it does have its uses. He's smug, sure, but secure in the relationship. And he's good at making sure you and Geo feel secure and listened to.

Now together they can be menaces. But they're both very loving, doting even. Pyro will spend all his money on you and Geo if you don't stop him, granted Geo isn't already trying to stop him. Geo is the one making sure you have essentials in the house, Pyro is the one making sure you have ✨️ fun ✨️ items.

Pyro doesn't particularly like cold food, he's a bit of a baby when it comes to the temperature of his food. He's insufferable in the summer, wanting warm food even when it's ten million degrees outside. I hope you can put up with his complaining, always wrapping his arms around you and sighing in your ear. Geo seems used to it, at least.

Geo tends to reward you both with kisses of all things. He would never admit it, but he enjoys watching you and Pyro compete for his kisses. He'll set little tasks to do throughout the day, and for each task completed, that's a kiss! He enjoys this power a little too much.

mr fatui pyroslinger you are very tall

aka : i have always been fond of the fatui npcs, which led to me making one of them into my oc (along with a treasure hoarder bc i love them too). the pyroslinger's name is arseniy & the treasure hoarder is luin. (: luin is constantly doting on arseniy, who doesn't really... understand why, but all the same, he kind of likes how chatty luin is. still, he feels conflicted that luin always sneaks off from his group to come track him down.

note : arseniy usually wears wraps around his face like most pyroslingers do, but he chooses to take them off in trusted company! he has a lot of burn damage on his skin from past incidents & is almost completely blind in his right eye (which he covers for a reason).

i'll make a separate post about him eventually, but i really wanted to show how damn tall the skirmisher characters are (because holy crap, their models are huge)

i have the urge to write about it so why not also the names are taken from the quest lol

Imagine a random investigator woman finding the fatui in Chasm. She was there to help Jinwu and others but then she got very interested in the area so she decided to explore it because why not. While she was checking one cave out, she met with the fatui. They introduce themselves to her. Anton (Anemoboxer), Radomir (Hydrogunner), Temur (Pyroslinger) and Danila (Geochanter). The poor fatui were very hungry and had no food, this made her heart crack. Even though they were bad guys she just couldn't see them suffer like this. So she decided to help them.

As she brought them the food, Mashkov (Electrohammer) tried to attack her thinking that Anton and others have betrayed them. While e was swinging his big hammer towards her, Anton held it. After stopping Mashkov, he explained the situation. They argued, trying their best to be on top of the argument, then Mashkov left them alone. While she was still at the shock of almost dying, she thanked Anton. Hugged him with her tiny body.

After a few small talks the atmosphere filled with enjoyment. They felt like they were becoming closer and closer to each other. Since they enjoyed her company, she stayed with them for a while. Helping them with the food, keeping them busy with her impressive knowledge... The men loved her very much. Any word that came out of her pretty mouth was like music to their ears. Her gorgeous features always distracting them in a conversation. As they got more affiliate with her and since they weren't allowed to go back to Liyue, she took them to her place. A place near to Qingce Village but also distant from the guards and people. Everything was going great.

What the actual hell is this?

The game developers have never seen someone in real life shoot a right because every damn time a Pyroslinger shoots his rifle, his arm should absolutely be dislocated.

Why is the butt of the rifle not being braced by his shoulder? The kickback will not only knock him on his ass, but fracture bones and dislocate limbs.

I mean, I know they were going towards the Alexander Petrov stance, but come on now. Seriously.

Hot take For some reason I think that some of the enemies are hotter than some of the playable characters. I also have this thing were I think masked men look sexy.

These two recently released in Sumeru look much hotter that some of the characters from sumeru. Daythunder and Sunfrost

Next the nobushi. I like the fact they are buff.

Next up the fatui

These four guys. These four have some things I really like. I also the chasm has given some of them character development and shows how much of a bad situation these guys are in.

This is just a missed opportunity. We could have had a playable character that used to be or is a treasure hoarder especially with th mask.
