You play Robert, a patient who has self checked into the room, looking to recover his memories. It is a wholesome depiction of psychiarty which deviates from the usual sensationalisation and caricaturisation that stigmatises people with mental health issues.

The game takes place over a week throughout which you follow a routine that leads you to progressively unlocking more memories, which affect how you carry out your routine.

I enjoyed the versatility of a two pane screen for puzzles and interactive cutaways (for the memories). The room itself is used as a puzzle, which contains puzzles in the “closeups” and in the feelings that the memories trigger. It’s a simple narrative that honors the complexity of recovery.

That said I am fully against psychiatric institutions, those places are a hotbed for abuse, we need solutions in the community, we need to surround ours with care and resources, not send them away.

u mnie to wygladalo tak ze jak mnie zabrali do szpitala po probie to po 2 dniach juz bylam w psychiatryku, tam kurwa zamkneli mnie i nic xD zadnych spotkan z psychologami tylko co 2 dzien 'jak sie czujesz?' i tyle. Az byl zal nie wkurwiac i nie odpierdalac z innymi na oddziale. A jak wrocilam to dostalam skierowanie na chodzenie do psychiarty. Wchodze se do tej baby i ona tam zaczyna, z moja mama oczywiscie. Nie dala mi dokonczyc zdania dopowiadajac jakies rozne wkurwiajace zdania.

Jak trafiłam do Psychiatry(ka)?

Już od paru tygodni mama wie o moich problemach i o tym że się okaleczam. Miałam rozmowy z psychologiem, a mama powiedziała że bedzie mnie sprawdzac czy nic sobie nie robie. Cięłam sie głównie na brzuchu tak aby nikt nie zobaczył (i kiedys na nogach). Mama sprawdzała brzuch i nogi ale nie zauwazyla ze chodze w długim rękawie... we wtorek gdy powiedzialam zeby mi wyprala pilnie bluze na jutro pochwili przyszla do mnie i powiedziala ,,podwiń rękawy". Miałam okaleczoną rękę. Powiedziała że jedziemy do psychiarty (poniewaz miala umowe z psychologiem) i jeśli dobrowolnie z nią nie wsiąde do auta to zadzwoni po karetke i sami mnie zawiozą do szpitala. Dała mi 2minuty. Pozniej przyszla z torbą i powiedziala ze mam sie spakowac (tak na wszelki wypadek). Powiedziałam że jade z nią. (Pojechaliśmy ok.18) W szpitalu (normalnym) weszliśmy, zarejstrowaliśmy się i czekamy... czekamy.. inni ludzie np. ze złamaniami byli przyjmowani w ciągu godziny czy dwóch. Ja czekałam 5 godzin. (Przyjechalam tam o 19) Najlepsze zaczeło sie o ok. 21.30. Jedna lekko starsza pani już zdenerwowana wstała i podeszła do lekarzy później wrocila z krzykiem ,,jak na paychiatre można czekac 5 godzin!?" do swojej córki- ,,następnym razem to sie zabij, poprostu sie zabij". Weszli do gabinetu ok. 23 najpierw obie, pozniej wyszla matka nastoletniej dziewczyny z pokoju a po ok.30min znowu weszła. Wtedy się trzęsłam. Poprostu trzęsłam. Modliłam sie aby jechać do domu i nie chcialam słyszeć mojego numerka "39". Gdy go usłyszałam- zamarłam. Wchodzimy- i ujrzałam starszego faceta. Tak faceta. Liczyłam na babke. No ale trudno. Najpierw weszłam z mamą. Pozniej ja zostalam sama. No i się zaczęło. Zadawał dosyc proste pytania (ale nie zapytał o np. Czy wychodze z domu normalnie czy sie boje) Proste- czyli w brew pozorom trudne. Np. Dlaczego się ranie? Na końcu zapytał czy myśle że musze iść do szpitala psychiatrycznego. Ja tylko zapytałam "czy to mi pomoze?" A on "to pytanie jest do ciebie". Nie patrzałam na niego. W ogóle. Patrzałam sie w sumie w jeden punkt. Pozniej zawołał mame i kazal mi sie rozebrac bo chciał mnie zbadac. Chwile cos pisał na komputerze i pytał sie o jakieś rzeczy typu czy mam kontakt z ojcem. Pozniej przeszedł do badania. Kazal mi pokazac brzuch i zbadał gardło itp. (Powiem tyle- to był także pediatra- zwykły lekarz. Nie chce z nim więcej rozmawiać wręcz boje sie go/ był dosyć surowy) Pozniej mama cos podpisała i dostała jakieś kartki. Nie widziałam ich aż do teraz. Nie wiem co na nich pisało. Gdy o 1 w nocy przyjechałam do domu. Mama mnie przytulila i powiedziala ze jesli dalej bede sie okaleczaj i bede w takim stanie to zabiora mnie do szpitala psychiatrycznego. Dalej jestem roztrzęsiona. To chyba tyle. Dziękuje Ci za chwile poświęconej uwagi❤️ Dobranoc
