"My concept for this album was based on two color illustrations that were given to me on my confirmation day in 1955, that I still have to this day. They are from the 1700’s and depict an evil man and a good man both at the split second of their death. When I showed them to Drew and explained the idea -- well, these pieces speak for themselves."

Ho sempre amato la musica progressive perche' l'unica che riesce a portare dentro scenari epici o fantastici, dentro castelli fatati o deserti popolati di anime invisibili che parlano a gesti. Una musica che sembra uscire da grammofoni futuristi e che vola su ali di animali preistorici dentro mondi immaginifici. Amo quelle note che sembrano danzare dentro riquadri di scacchiere o che vedi eruttare da fondali marini ribollendo come gaiser islandesi. Come si fa a non avere la curiosita' di seguire il capitano "Zero the hero" nella sua teiera volante o di stare dentro l'armadillo Tarkus o conoscere mondi lontani e stare sospesi nell'incredibile?
