If only you had double checked. If only you had not been in a hurry and sent your professor the wrong file, the worst possible file ever, then you wouldn’t have been in this situation.

Your boyfriend went to a college across the country, so in attempts to combate the daunting reality that was a long-distance relationship, the two of you had made a habit of leaning on technology and such to help fill in the holes and make it feel less excruciating to be apart.

One of those holes conveniently came in the form of a video of you, in bed before classes, sunrays bathing your form as you got yourself off for him.

If only that hadn’t been the video you had accidentally sent to your professor instead of the 5 minute tape he had asked you to turn in, proving that you had learned enough so far in the course to be able to talk freely about it.

“Show me,” professor Solo simply said, leaning back in his chair.

“Excuse me, sir?” you fiddled with the sleeve of your cardigan, wishing that you had just sat down and not awkwardly continued to stand in the middle of his office.

“You just told me that you didn’t wanna fail the class, correct?”

“Yes,” you answered apprehensively.

“And that you’d do anything to make that so?”

“Yes, but Mr Solo, I was thinking more in the lines of extra credit or-“

“You’ve already given me more than a peek, this is nothing compared to that,” he coldly cut you off as his eyes shamelessly wandered, “or you could just walk out that door and fail this class, choice is yours.”

Feeling your heart all the way in your throat, you pondered, “…you just want me to flash you, nothing else?”

“I’m not gonna touch you, if that’s what you’re worried about.”

Utterly mystified as to how he could be so composed while asking you such things, you continued, “…and if I do, then you won’t fail me in this class?”

“Might even fudge the numbers a bit and have you come out on top,” he shrugged, piecing gaze never straying far.

Staring up at the dark ceiling, you took a deep breath and uttered, “…alright,” before your fingers nervously began to fiddle with your cardigan, slowly peeling it off and hooking it in the crook of your elbow for safekeeping as you then lifted your shirt up just enough for him to peek at your soft bra.

“You can do better than that,” he scoffed, his eyes practically burning holes in your brassiere, “turn around and bend over, let me see what you’ve got under that skirt.”

You needed this class to graduate… so like a stubborn pill, you turned around and braced on the chair behind you. Squeezing your eyes shut as you arched your back, feeling the crisp air hit your bottom. Your eyes swiftly snapped open once more as the sound of a zipper resonated throughout the room, “what are you doing?” you spun back around, skirt twirling around your thighs, “I thought you said-”

Hand down his pants, he nearly rolled his eyes, “I said I wouldn’t touch you, not that I wouldn’t make the most of this, now get back to it.”

My new Jane Eyre-inspired modern Reylo AU fic has officially begun <3 Here's the description and link to the first chapter:

Rey Johnson has never taken a risk in her life. She was from a foster family with an angry drunk father and a foster mother who never did anything about his rampages. She learned from an early age that it was easier to keep her head down as much as she could and to escape in times of pain rather than to fight back. One refuge she found was in reading--specifically, the works of Gothic horror novelist Ben Solo.

Having just found out the elusive author will be teaching a one-time-only class at his alma mater across the country, Rey decides to take the first leap of her life. Despite having never had a formal education, she manages to attend Ben Solo's literature class. However, when the only accommodation she can afford is a haunted house owned by the author himself, things take more unexpected turns than Rey can keep up with. The most unexpected of them all is the relationship she forms with the grumpy professor. A man of many secrets. And tragedies.

So.. what's the deal with the cartoon network crossover? 👀

I'm glad you sent an ask I was originally going to make a separate post lol

The AU spawned from wanting to do my own take on FusionFall, which then became a fighting game, then the gameplay was reworked into an original idea and the designs of the CN characters were reworked into a comic. Since it started as a fighter that meant I had planned out separate stages for each franchise, as opposed to one uniform setting such as CN City or the popular shared school au. The fighter didn't really have a plot I just came up with the explanation that the kids are all KND (or TeenND) members and were just having a sparing match and the adult characters were somehow targets or smth. Now the current iteration is most the characters are just on the same planet and become involved in some way or another (probably the KND still). The reoccurring theme is just trying to find people like you.

The most clear idea I've had is between PPG and Ben 10; the girls are known around the world and Ben (and Gwen) feeling lonely want to meet other super hero kids their age. Grandpa Max reminds them they are still strangers and that Ben and Gwen have to keep their identities secret, but does some research into the girls and Professor Utonium and recognizes how he still value's their privacy. Max then tries to get in contact with Utonium to see if getting the kids together would even be a good idea. Utonium himself also recognizes the girls have tried to find other super hero kids to hang out with, but both he and Max spend like a year over email trying to see if they can even trust each other lmao. Eventually after the two meet up (and Max knows he can trust them with the alien thing) they agree to set up a playdate and the focus then moves to the kids as they interact.

Ben and Gwen are like uhhhh aged between the original and Alien Force. Kevin is also there but I want to write a different intro for him that involves Gwen more.

The girls I've pictured as this; Blossom handles the fame best of the 3 and also is the best when it comes to the press while Buttercup and Blossom prefer to stand back. While she is good at being the ideal Powerpuff Girl, she has ambitions in the same science as her father and struggles to balance the two. Buttercup still enjoys the art of fighting the most, and goes on the most solo missions, but gets treated unfairly for her more masculine behavior and has to deal with fitting in with neither girls nor boys. Bubbles also has to deal with unfair treatment by being undermined for being the most girlish (there is no winning) but lacks a hobby like the other two (though she has some artistic merit). She may be the loneliest of the three as a result. Although they all still share a good friend in Robin. Bubbles and Buttercup get along better than they did as kids, though Blossom doesn't want them to feel like she's ignoring the two.

For the sake of simplicity the ending of KND and the G:KND storyline with Nigel being shot into space is ignored. The KND as an organization is trying to expand the TND upon seeing the teen's potential for rebellion. They lack a way to regain old KND members back, so they go out trying to recruit teens while they wait for current KND members to just age up. Sector V was selected for TND and go out and try and recruit new members. The ideas I have for them involve the awkward wait between the V members going 12 -> 13 years and transitioning between jobs. My personal hc was that in the show at one point it's Kuki and Wally at 10, Nigel at 11, then Hoagie and Abby at 12, with Kuki being the youngest and Abby the oldest. During and after this transition phase they are sent out on recruitment missions which is where the crossover stuff comes in.

Hoagie is sent to see if either Dexter or Mandark is available. Mandark is a dick but Dexter get points knocked down for getting funding from the adult-run NASA. It turns into another ego battle between Dexter and Mandark while Hoagie has to deal with the two rich kids. Dee Dee is there to fuck with all 3 of them and is the one that gets recruited. Hoagie probably also treats this like a sports movie or smth.

The Time Squad sometime in the future are homeschooling Otto, they try to get him socializing with kids his age during missions but think that he should be spending time with kids from his century. Otto has been researching not just history but what happens after his time as well. He wants to meet heroes when they were his age.

I have A LOT of ideas for the Eds but most of it isn't crossover material. But I like the idea of them just accidentally walking into other shows, Courage or Foster's in particular.

The world in this AU is basically only limited by shows with hugely conflicting lore. That's vague but that mostly means like, the Land of Ooo conflicts with most shows. So to justify AT it's like. An alternate Earth and somehow Finn finds his way to this one and loses his shit over other humans. While he's glad to find kids like him Jake worries that Finn may prefer this world to Ooo and that he may leave. Jake is all ready to come to terms with this and Finn is like dude what we have only been here for 5 hours.

Billy and Mandy are mostly antags like in the KND crossover. I have a super vague idea for Billy somehow giving up Grim to other kids and they keep trading him for like a corn chip, and while other toon guys go on adventures with the reaper, Mandy drags Billy with her to get Grim back. At some point Numbuh 1 meets the Regular Show crew I forgot to draw and his world view is shattered. Gumball and Darwin are there. Etc.

I'd probably prioritize the first PPG and Ben 10 story as the clearest I got rn. But otherwise I'd love to see other people's crossover stuff and just old CN or cartoons in general.

«Anche ai genitori europei, perché non è che negli altri paesi la situazione sia tanto diversa: smetterla di tutelare i loro figli. Sa che cosa rispondo a quei padri e a quelle madri che mi chiedono un consiglio? Di fare l’esatto contrario di quello che stanno facendo».

Perché i genitori hanno questa ansia di tutelare i figli?

«Perché hanno sensi di colpa. Su tutto. Pensano di non avere difeso abbastanza le loro creature. E invece dovrebbero dire: arrangiatevi».

Tornando a Filippo e Giulia, pensa ci sia stata premeditazione?

«Non faccio il mago, ma credo che non sia nato tutto quella sera, i raptus sono solo nei fumetti. Non si diventa lupo in una notte».

Quest’implacabile e oscuro inquisirmi che mi fruga dentro e fuori, mi spinge a investigarmi il cuore alla malata ricerca di potenziali violenze passate e future. Mio nonno, uomo mansueto di sconfinata bontà, invecchiato in silenzio all’ombra d’un suocero dragone e una moglie arpia, è morto dopo esser stato corroso giorno per giorno dal Parkinson, roso sin dentro le ossa, fino a diventare un altro da sé. Quando la malattia lo lasciò, non c’era più niente in lui dell’uomo che era, non ne era rimasto più nulla, come scrive Flaubert: “il l’ouvrit et ne trouva rien”. Negli ultimi tempi s’era fatto estremamente violento, quasi ferino, tirava calci a tutti, schiaffi, pugni e spinte, parole al veleno, bestemmie e imprecazioni mai udite da quella sua bocca garbata, paranoie continue per cui era convinto che il fratello s’intrufolasse in casa di nascosto per scopargli la moglie, ben corrisposto, o che gli amici sparlassero di lui al bar. E giù d’insulti e botte. Oggigiorno non se ne ricorda più nessuno e di lui, fortunatamente, è rimasto solo il ritratto d’un uomo retto e buono, come effettivamente è stato per gran parte della sua vita. E se mio nonno, che era un uomo buono, s’è degradato in “nu diavl” (per dirla con le urla di mia nonna), io che non lo sono, che speranza avrei di restare umano? Solo la mia assoluta integrità morale mi permette di tener docile al guinzaglio il lupo in me. Se perdessi ogni freno, cosa mi distinguerebbe da un mostro senz’anima? Diverrei pari a un lupo mannaro, il povero professor Lupin morso dalla luna piena, Harvey Keitel che si tramuta in vampiro e morde a morte l’amato figlio, un maledetto zombie in un qualsiasi film di zombie. Tanto varrebbe sopprimermi prima. Non posso perdere me stesso, non voglio perdere me stesso, la mia mente è tutto ciò che ho. Un giorno, prima di perdersi per sempre, mio nonno mi prese per un braccio, mi fissò con la disperata urgenza della fine e disse: “La cosa più importante per una persona è essere padroni di se stessi. Ricordalo!” Non l’ho dimenticato, nonno, non l’ho fatto. Non posso prometterlo, ma spero solo di poterlo ricordare per sempre.

You know now that the disaster lineage has been canonically referred by Professor Huyang as "a long line of non-traditional jedis", I remember a scene from The Last Jedi movie.

So now this is now my head canon, mostly because it's funnier this way and i think it makes more sense.

The scene with Luke and Master Yoda and the burning tree wasn't about Rey or the Force or anything like that; it was about Yoda trying to stop the disaster lineage.

Luke Skywalker : So it is time for the Jedi Order to end. Yoda : Time it is for you to look past a pile of old books, hmm? Luke Skywalker : The sacred Jedi texts? Yoda : Oh, read them, have you? Page-turners they were not. Yes, yes, yes. Wisdom they held, but that library contained nothing that the girl Rey does not already possess. Skywalker, still looking to the horizon. Never here, now, hmm? The need in front of your nose.

This wasn't about Rey being a Mary Sue or the Force Messiah, Yoda was talking that the Master - Padawan Jedi Lineage that started with him (at minimum) has been an overall disaster for anyone involved and that him trying to teach Rey in the old Jedi Order way wouldn't end any better for her than ended how for him, or Anakin, or Obi Wan.

Lost Ben Solo you did. Lose Rey we must not.

Basically, Yoda was telling Luke that trying to continue the lineage would potentially end with Palpatine's Granddaughter falling to dark side and that couldn't be good for anyone.

That Luke should let Rey be because she already knew 3 important things:

She was aware that she was force sensitive.

She knew that being force sensitive allow her to do a lot of cool stuff.

She knew how to hold and activate a lightsaber.

So she was better off without those goddamned books, sacred or not, they were a waste of time.

Accidentally submitting her Galaxy Wars fanfic to Professor Organa instead of her term paper was probably the worst thing that ever happened to Rey. Oh god. She didn't know how to explain this.

And just when Rey thought she might recover from the embarrassment, Professor Organa invited her over to meet her son. Ben Solo. The world-famous director. The person who'd directed her favorite Galaxy Wars movie.

Fucking hell. What had she gotten herself into?
