i think i don't really get the seasons discourse cause i've never really used them?? i think using the name of the arc is just more useful to me personally

#for starters there's always debates on when the seasons actually start and end #then someone inevitably tries to apply narrative structures to them? #like the seasons were like. properly planned and not decided after the fact?? #and THEN you end up using the name of the arc anyway! #also depending on who's pov you're operating on the seasons can just be completed pointless or actually straight up annoying #if you're talking about the egg arc the seasons don't work at all lol #it's much more useful to talk about post possession pre banquet post banquet i think #lmanburg has it's own timeline with lmanberg manburg pogtopia new lmanburg doomsday you know #the prison arc by itself can be a good metric and it tends to be used for the seasons but also it spans 10 months lol? #also the daedalus arc is so important to it but i don't think the seasons take that into account at all so like #YOU KNOW! #it doesn't really make sense for me ;--; #to talk about cgeorge i'm going to mention completely different events than when i talk about csam like do you get me

ummmmmmmmmmmm. Fundichu? Niki and Fundy. Got an ask about them a bit ago so the idea s been rattlin around my brain

It’s one of my favorites hands down. I don’t draw stuff for it often (at least stuff I post. Oops) but it’s so near and dear to me. Despite not gelling with canon im always thinking about Niki saying she “grew up” in lmanberg and I want to believe her. To me it paints such a vivid picture of their relationship. I think they were a lot of each other’s firsts. kisses, touches, yknow normal preteen things. Niki so definitely had a giant crush on Fundy pre transition im always staring at the election arc about it so sorry. There’s a sort of sweet familiar intimacy there I don’t pick up on from any other groups in the election. They don’t work together perfectly but they’re so charming she knows how to push his buttons and he does genuinely care about her even if he’s a kind of a-personal goof. I think there was a period of time where their partnership could’ve gone on so much longer if they cultivated it right. But I don’t know if they were either really mature enough to make it work. Their whole lives up until the flag burning they were the one most comfortable for the other to hug and kiss and hold onto at night. When she was a kid I think Niki spent so many nights sneaking out with him to try to catch fire flies around the river and Wilbur would wake up to the both of them tied around each other the next morning in the camarvan’s bed. It’s always meant so much to me that when fundy wanted to start over in dry waters he wanted to bring Niki with him. Id understand ranboo because ranboo is someone he hadn’t wronged at that point ranboo knew so little about him. But I don’t think Fundy could ever let Niki go. he can’t envision a new life without her. During and post doomsday it’s more complicated. She hates him and is so angry at him but above all else she wants to be able to trust him again. She wants him to be there eith her too. I don’t care what anyone says I know in my heart they fucked on doomsday ok goodbye

So what are ur hair headcanons then? 👀

i already draw it mostly (even made a ctommy hair timeline :P)

but basically both have natural hair color (ctu natural brunette and cto natural blonde). during pre dsmp ctu had messy outgrown hair because he never learned to cut it in 2b2t, while cto was mostly shaved head because labkid

during early dsmp to lmanburg they had regular haircuts, ctu usually being slightly longer than cto's

during pogtopia neither of them had time to cut their hairs, so it just slowly grew out beyond their usual

entering new lmanberg, ctu would regularly cut his hair to a length, sometimes he'd randomly cut it in very small amounts just for a distraction. in exile cto's hair grew out to his shoulder, as he never cut it during that time

when cto was with ctechno, he had a bit of his hair in a braid

doomsday caused cto to unbraid that part. and in the finale neither ctu or cto changed their hairs

during the very small hotel time interval cto wore his hair in a high ponytail

ctu started to let his hair grow out and took less care of it, sometimes just using hairbands or hairclips to get them out of the way

sometime after his death cto started wearing his hair in pigtails.

after cranboo died ctu had flowers in his hair, maybe from ghostboo? it was a messy kind of flowers in his hair. one of the flowers tied a part of his hair

post dsmp cto switches between a ponytail and a pair of pigtails, no longer cuts his hair except for his bangs. and ctu only uses one flower in his hair, and cut his bangs a bit

While I get that it’s not a Great Message with the fact dsmp is a series, I kinda like that people are mad at wilbur for “leaving” bc it feels messy and realistic. Anger is a legitimate part of grieving— for a death so dramatic and sudden, as well as one that caused surrounding damage (where lmanberg had to be completely rebuilt) I like that people have those bad messy feelings. It’s something we’ve never had otherwise with any other dsmp deaths. It’s just…. Frankly unfortunate that it also coincides with the only character who’s also killed themselves and that being upset at someone for committing suicide is a pre-existing larger issue

yeah but the thing is they dont acknowledge it was a suicide. they dont acknowledge that cwilbur was on a mental spiral and did bad things because he was also hurting. they just paint him as a guy who hurt others for fun. and they never acknowledge the suicide they just say he "left" them. also in any other media maybe id be on board but not on the dsmp because we already have plenty of victim blamey shit on this server and fandom. i dont want this to be another one.

bro this was genuinely a very good ending I think, despite it having kinda a silly vibe near the end, because it was exactly like those earlier streams, those streams and videos where everyone was just kinda fucking around. I remember watching the pogtopia and lmanberg streams live after school and it was almost the exact vibes but just a little "older" ig. I think everyone's come to expect every single stream to be perfectly written and acted out and pieces of art, and I still do think they're artful, but it's silly. We've always found meaning in whatever silly and nonsensical things they've thrown at us. Schlatt's alcoholism and supplements bits were just for shits and giggles, but we all connected the dots to build a slightly different version of that character and maybe lead to him dying in that way. Sally being a shapeshifter, and many others things that I can't think of rn. That's how it all started, it was silly, and then we all said hey that can actually be really impactful and it spiraled from there. It ended where it started, and it's really getting to me. Wilbur was a character that cared so much about appearances, about what people wanted from him. He most like felt he disappointed Phil in some way back in utah and left to find something or become something more, and what he found was Tommy, and Tubbo, and Niki, and Jack, and Fundy, And Eret, and a family pretty much. And I've seen a lot of talk about how he became obsessed with trying to play his role in the story and it drove him insane pretty much. Cause I remember every single stream every single person in chat was pretty much telling him day after day to push that button. He spent so much time feeling like he had to be this villain, that he had to live up to this role people put him into. I think pre death that's entirely what he was doing. He played the role of the villain which is what he thought he had to do, and then after the revival his story was about how that ideal ruined him and he had to get out of it. Because he was always a person who loved to the extreme and those expectations of him I think clashed with his wants as a person and maybe sometimes even fueled them. But he got out, he took the steps to apologize, to break out of that role, he loves, he cares, and he still fucks up but he’s not that character anymore. He’s just some guy. He’s just some guy from Utah who worked at a gas station and felt like a little bit of a disappointment but cared more than he could ever realize. He left and he changed and he lost himself but now he’s back home, he went back to the roots so he could grown into himself, and maybe we’ll see him again. Maybe he’ll be better, maybe he’ll be more himself. But e came in a storm and he left in a storm, and now he’s free, he can grow. I think this is a great spot for new beginnings and it was perfect in it’s own little way and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

Toy soldiers anon here! Yep! Tommy, tubbo, Wilbur, eret, jack (manifold), fundy, and niki.

I think for humor purposes, it would be funny if the headmaster at eah just assumed the adults where like, actual teachers because I’m assuming their ages don’t change, and these literal veterans are being told to go teach a school full of students.

I also feel like some people might think they’re from wonderland? Mostly because of the war uniforms, and Wilbur making references to literary motifs, but they can’t hear the narrators and also don’t know what the fuck the wonderland war is. I think eret would just be entering the phase of “oh shit, I fucked up” of their redemption arc, but would still be regarded as a villain by lmanberg.

However! I think eret and ravens mom would have really interesting parallels, with eret selling out lmanberg to dream for power mirrors the actions that ravens mother took to assure her becoming the evil queen, obviously this is going to change because it’s a redemption arc for eret,

thinking about how both karl and quackitys houses in new lmanberg and karls old house with quackitys basement room underneath are sooo underutilised as locations in fics and stuff. probably because theres so few fics about their relationship pre-el rapids to begin with but idk. i just think both of those places are very nice and cute and theres a lot of untapped potential
