people keep assuming i “support ukraine” so let me make it clear in what way i support ukraine:
death to the fascist maidan regime installed in a 2013 us-orchestrated coup which has been committing ethnic and linguistic cleansing on ukraine, especially eastern ukraine, ever since 2014, six years before the war with russia
death to the united states sending cluster bombs to be dropped on eastern ukraine to kill and maim ukrainian children for the next hundred years
death to every us politician using ukrainian blood as fuel for their proxy war with russia
death to zelensky the us lapdog who cares more about the imperialist geopolitical goals of his leashholders than he does ukrainian lives
death to the nazis in the ukrainian armed forces who trace directly back to the collaborator groups who helped the nazis commit the holocaust of bullets and killed 1.5 million jews in the occupied soviet union, including ukraine, as well as many many other soviet civilians, and were used by the maidan regime to terrorize eastern ukraine for years
death to the fascists continually erasing the incredible accomplishments of the proud soviet ukrainians who helped build the ussr and defeat the nazi war machine
death to the racists in the ukraine and the us and elsewhere dehumanizing russians as an ethnicity as if there is any clear line you can draw between russians and ukrainians as ethnic groups, which will hurt not only russians but ukrainians both in ukraine and in the diaspora, all of which will have terrible effects
end the war. end the slaughter. i pray that one day ukraine is liberated from united states imperialism. if you think this makes me a “putin supporter” you’re an idiot and an imperialist.

And the new New Year’s Address (2022 into 2023):
youtube
New Year greetings of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy
Dear Ukrainians!
This year began on February 24. Without prefaces and preludes. Sharply. Early. At 4 o'clock.
It was dark. It was loud. It was hard for many and scary for some. 311 days have passed. It can still be dark, loud, and complicated for us. But we will definitely never be afraid again. And we'll never be ashamed.
It was our year. Year of Ukraine. Year of Ukrainians.
We woke up on February 24. Into another life. Being another people. Another Ukrainians. The first missiles finally destroyed the labyrinth of illusions. We saw who was who. What friends and enemy are capable of, and most importantly, what we are capable of.
On February 24, millions of us made a choice. Not a white flag, but a blue and yellow flag. Not escaping, but meeting. Meeting the enemy. Resisting and fighting.
The explosions on February 24 stunned us. Since then we have not heard everything. And we don't listen to everyone. We were told: you have no other option but to surrender. We say: we have no other option than to win.
On February 24, we began to create our victory. From many bricks – hundreds of other victories.
We have overcome the panic. We did not run away but united. We have overcome doubts, despair, and fear. We believed in ourselves and in our strength. The Armed Forces of Ukraine. Intelligence. National Guard. SBU. Special Operations Forces. Border guards. Territorial defense forces. Air defense forces. The police. The State Emergency Service. All our defense and security forces. I am proud of you all, our warriors!
This year can be called a year of losses for Ukraine, for the whole of Europe, and the whole world. But it's wrong. We shouldn't say that.
We haven't lost anything. It was taken from us. Ukraine did not lose its sons and daughters – they were taken away by murderers. Ukrainians did not lose their homes – they were destroyed by terrorists. We did not lose our lands – they were occupied by invaders. The world did not lose peace – Russia destroyed it.
This year has struck our hearts. We've cried out all the tears. All the prayers have been yelled. 311 days. We have something to say about every minute. But most of the words are superfluous. They are not needed. No explanations or decorations are needed. Silence is needed to hear. Pauses are needed to realize.
The morning of February 24.
Hostomel. Bucha. Irpin. Borodianka. Kharkiv.
Mriya.
Kramatorsk Station. Toy.
Chernihiv.
Mariupol. Drama Theater. The word "Children" written.
Olenivka.
Odesa. Multi-story building. Girl. Three months old.
Vilniansk. Maternity hospital. Baby. Two days old.
Azovstal.
It's impossible to forget. And it's impossible to forgive. But it's possible to win.
We stood on our feet because there was something that kept us going. Our spirit.
Defense of Kyiv.
Kharkiv.
Mykolaiv.
Chornobayivka.
Snake Island.
HIMARS.
Antonivsky Bridge.
"Cotton" pops.
Crimean Bridge.
Neptune.
Cruiser Moskva.
Russian warship.
Izyum, Balakliya and Kupyansk.
Kherson.
And we pray that there will be Kreminna and Svatove, Melitopol, all of Donbas, Crimea.
We fight and will continue to fight. For the sake of the main word: "victory."
It will be for sure. We are approaching it for 311 days.
We gave it a lot of strength. But at the moment, when it seems that you can't go any further, remember that we have already passed with you.
I want to say to all of you: Ukrainians, you are incredible! See what we have done and what we are doing!
How our soldiers have been smashing this "second army of the world" since the first days.
How our people stopped their equipment and infantry columns.
How an old man used his hands to stop a tank.
How a woman knocked down a drone with a jar of tomatoes.
How enemy tanks, armored personnel carriers, helicopters, shells were stolen during the occupation.
How we fundraised for Shahed hunters, naval drones, armored vehicles, ambulance vehicles and Bayraktar drones in several hours.
How we withstood all threats, shelling, cluster bombs, cruise missiles, darkness and cold.
How we supported each other and the state.
Everyone is important in war.
Who holds a weapon, the steering wheel of a car, the helm of a ship or plane, a scalpel, or a pointer.
Everyone who is behind a laptop, who drives a combine harvester, a train.
Who is at a roadblock and a power plant.
Journalists and diplomats, utility workers and rescuers.
All. Who is working. Studying at a university or school. And even those who are just learning to walk.
All this is for their sake. Our children. Our people. Our country.
There are no small matters in a great war. There are no unnecessary ones. Each of us is a fighter. Each of us is a front. Each of us is the basis of the defense.
We fight as one team – the whole country, all our regions. I admire you all. I want to thank every invincible region of Ukraine.
Kharkiv. Mutilated but unconquered. You proved to the enemy that being close territorially does not mean being close in mind. Kharkiv is a Ukrainian city. The hero city.
Invincible Mykolaiv. Heroically withstands all blows. The city on a wave that overcomes all storms.
Sumy city and the region. You were one of the first to feel the full-scale invasion of the invaders. Sumy region became a bone in their throat for them. Ordinary people made Molotov cocktails, burned enemy columns, took the first prisoners. Sumy region is a force.
Dnipro. The support and reliable rear of our front. You received people, you got the lives of wounded soldiers back. Despite constant barrages, Dnipro lives on.
Odesa. Sunny and friendly, now a fortress. World fortress. Which defends us and which defends the world. Feeds it by sending millions of tonnes of salvation by sea every day. Because it is Odesa Mama.
Kherson! You are heroic people! You have been under occupation for more than eight months. No news. No communication. Separated from Ukraine.
Thousands of you took part in actions against the ruscists. You did not know whether we saw it in Ukraine or knew about it. The occupiers lied to you that Ukraine abandoned you and would not fight for you. But you believed and waited despite everything. The face of Kherson is cut by fragments of shells, but the main thing is that we welcome the New Year free and together under blue and yellow flags. And therefore, we will restore everything, rebuild everything. Just like Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhia, and Kramatorsk, and Bakhmut.
Those that became a refuge for millions of Ukrainians: Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Vinnytsia. I thank you! Those who receive and transfer millions of tonnes of aid from Europe and the world: Lviv, Uzhgorod, Chernivtsi, Lutsk. Thank you! Those who accept the evacuation of businesses, enterprises, universities: Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, Kropyvnytsky, Poltava, Cherkasy. Thank you!
And those who are waiting for Ukraine. And will wait. Donbas, Luhansk region, Crimea. Thanks to you, our warriors!
And, of course, Kyiv region and the city are our heart, which always beats thanks to you, all our Ukrainians!
We are all one family. One Ukraine.
This is the year when Ukraine changed the world. And the world discovered Ukraine. We were told to surrender. We chose a counterattack! We were told to make concessions and compromises. We are joining the European Union and NATO.
The world heard Ukraine. European Parliament, Bundestag, the UK Parliament, Knesset, the US Congress.
The world felt Ukraine. Ukraine in the media. In the hearts of people. At the top of Google search.
The world saw Ukraine. On the main squares in Toronto, New York, London, Warsaw, Florence, Sydney, and other cities.
Ukrainians surprise. Ukrainians are applauded. Ukrainians inspire.
Is there anything that can scare us? No. Is there anyone who can stop us? No.
Because we are all together.
It is what we are fighting for. One for each other.
The best salute for us is at the warehouses of the occupiers. The best gift is the numbers in the report of the General Staff.
We do not know for sure what the new year 2023 will bring us. But ready for anything.
New achievements? We will be happy. New hits? We will be steadfast. Continuation of the fight? We will fight. And when we win, we will hug.
Dear Ukrainians!
A few minutes remain until the New Year. I want to wish all of us one thing – victory. And that's the main thing. One wish for all Ukrainians.
Let this year be the year of return. The return of our people. Soldiers – to their families. Prisoners – to their homes. Immigrants – to their Ukraine.
Return of our lands. And the temporarily occupied will become forever free.
Return to normal life. To happy moments without curfew. To earthly joys without air alerts.
The return of what has been stolen from us. The childhood of our children, the peaceful old age of our parents.
So that grandchildren come to visit their grandparents during the holidays. To eat watermelons in Kherson. And the cherry in Melitopol.
So that our cities are free. Our friends are faithful.
And so that our main figure and main success appeared in reports near the figure of 100,000 destroyed enemies, thousands of units of destroyed Russian equipment – it is 603,628 square kilometers. The area of independent Ukraine, as it was since 1991. As it will always be.
May the New Year bring all this. We are ready to fight for it. That's why each of us is here. I'm here. We are here. You are here. Everyone is here. We are all Ukraine.
Glory to Ukraine!
Happy New Year!

soooo @rtcshipweeks day 13 is t4t... i give you t4t blackrose with transfem constance and newly cracked transmasc ocean
also this was written and 2am and subsequently edited later, so pls excuse (and point out) any typos or capital letters lol
ocean didn’t care for paying attention to herself much. if she could work, it didn’t matter.
until the cyclone.
something about the warehouse- and the weeks afterward in the hospital changed her. for the first time since she started school, she was alone with only her own thoughts.
and it certainly wasn’t fun.
the longer she thought, the less she comfortable she became. her skin began to itch, and she could feel the heat of tears on her cheeks if she laid silent for too long. she thought, at first, that she could outrun this. she started writing, drawing, she started using duolingo and had her mom bring in her crochet basket from a few years ago.
but eventually her hands started to hurt, and she ran out of tries.
and it came back.
so she started watching shows and movies. she would ask the choir for recommendations and add them to a list that she finished every week, if not less. she watched anything she could get on netflix, and started to comb through hulu and disney+ as well. it only lasted a few weeks, though. she practically finished everything she could bear to watch.
and it came back. as soon as she let the room go silent, it was back.
and so, music. she made playlist after playlist, about her friends, her family, other classmates, activities and even teachers and their classes. she started trying to write out popular songs, and she would write out lyrics how she heard them and check it against the official lyrics.
she tried to learn about cars, and history, and religions, and food. she quickly became able to hold a conversation with mischa in ukrainian, and watched noels french movies and understood them. she started trying to learn mandarin, even.
but it didn’t work. and the itch came back.
and after months of trying to ignore it, she broke. she clawed at her arms, her thighs, her stomach- anything she could reach, really. she never felt the sob bubble in her throat when she scratched, but when she stopped she felt her throat close, and her chest tighten.
but she had to stop. every time, she had to stop. nurses would see marks if she made them, and her friends would notice if she started to hide her arms from them.
and every time, she clamped a hand over her mouth to stifle the pathetic whimper that escaped her when she released her skin.
she kept up a routine, for a while. she would wait until everyone else was asleep, and she would scratch. not too much, but enough to hurt. she would muffle her cries as she fell asleep, and wake up the next morning exhausted, and blame it on her healing wounds.
but it couldn’t last forever. she knew that, deep down. someone would find her, or hear her, or she would scratch too hard and leave a mark.
and sure enough, she hit two of three boxes. always the overachiever.
“ocean?” constance. “are you okay?”
she dug her nails into her wrist with a muffled hiss. “i’m okay! just struggling to fall asleep, is all.”
constance rounded the curtain slowly. “are you sure?”
ocean pushed her wrist down, keeping her nails pressed into it. “yep! i think i'm right at the lull between pain med doses.” she forced a grin, praying silently that her friend would leave.
instead constance looked at oceans hands. “why do you always do that?” she asked softly, “i hear you at night sometimes.”
ocean shrugged, careful not to release the pressure. “my arm itches sometimes.” she lied smoothly, “i scratch it.”
“you only ever do it at night after everyone else is asleep,” constance pointed out quietly, “does it only itch at night?”
ocean nodded slowly. that was a good lie to use, actually. it was partially true, even, so it wasn’t really even a lie.
only a half-truth.
“i’m sure you could ask for anti-itch cream.” she murmured, walking over and gently taking oceans wrist. constance pulled at her fingers until she let up pressure and ocean choked on a half-sob.
constances head shot up in alarm, and ocean tugged her arm away, pulling tight to her torso.
“really, connie, i’m okay.” ocean promised softly, “you should go back to bed.”
constance nearly scoffed at her. “like i’m going to bed when you’re hurting.”
ocean shook her head. “i’m okay. it just.. itches sometimes. when it’s quiet like this.” also technically not a lie. she really was doing fine, and it really did just itch sometimes. it just.. hurt to not itch.
constance sighed, “scoot over. we’re having a sleepover tonight.”
and tonight turned into a week and a half. a week and a half of ocean carefully waiting until she knew her friend was asleep before scratching lightly and falling asleep.
she was okay. she was perfectly fine with this routine. until, of course, she wasn’t.
she woke up shaking. her whole body. all she could think about was the itch, and scratching at herself didn’t help. nobody noticed until she failed to keep her first sob quiet. constance rounded the corner, and ocean shattered in her best friends arms.
she sobbed for what felt like hours. she could distantly feel constance pinning her hands apart, but she couldn’t even bring herself to fight it.
constance. she had mentioned, once, how dysphoria felt. she said it felt like ants, or fire, crawling under her skin. ocean could feel the ants. and they were certainly crawling.
she cried herself to sleep in constances arms that morning. and she had quite the dream.
“river! dude, we’re gonna be late.” noel pushed open the door of the bedroom.
river hummed, adjusting his hair for the fifteenth time that night. “i know- just give me another minute.”
he could hear noels eye roll, and a hand soon came to rest of his hip, turning him away from the mirror. noel reached up with a small sigh, tucking a stray piece of hair into place and smoothing down rivers collar.
“i promise, riv, you look amazing.” he giggled a bit to himself, “constance is going to drop dead when she sees you.”
river bit his lip, looking back to the mirror. he couldn’t say he looked bad in the deep purple velvet of his suit jacket, but compared to noel in his sparkly, bright red dress, he looked like nothing.
"okay, lets go."
short, fiery red hair, pale hazel eyes and too many freckles. river. what a name. ocean chewed on her lip, thinking back to the boy in the suit.
the gift of prophecy is more often a curse. A curse of disbelief, denial and banishment.
river o'connell rosenberg. that was a name she quite liked, actually.
river bit his lip.
ocean bit her lip.
river bit his lip.
maybe this is what constance meant when she talked about the click. the itch calmed a little. river pressed a hand into his arm. the itch, once in his arms and legs and stomach, settled itself in his chest. he closed his eyes, pressing a hand in the middle of his rib cage.
he allowed the itch to be. a reminder of himself. of river, and of ocean, though she certainly wasn’t gone.
he settled deeper into constances arms, and waited for her to wake.
when she did, he'd sit up, hold her hand, and ask her a question.
how did you know you were trans? specifically that, i mean. how did you know it wasn’t something else?
and constance would shrug. it felt the best, she told him quietly, it felt less like a box, and more like a building. like a home.
he'd pause, and let himself think for a moment. how would you feel if i was trans?
constance would hum. you’re my best friend, she'd say simply, you couldn’t change that if you tried.
can you call me river? he'd whisper, letting his gaze drop to their hands, now intertwined.
i'd call you anything you wanted me to, river. she'd promise.
and for once, river believed her.

a new phase of the war
My heart breaks. Russia is lashing out and Ukrainian civilians are suffering--all areas of Ukraine, and civilian infrastructure in particular, are coming under missile fire, from Lviv to Odesa to Kyiv to Kharkiv.
Meanwhile, the hardliners in Russia continue to get their way. On Saturday, Putin appointed Sergei Surovikin, known for his ‘total ruthlessness,’ as the new military commander tasked with overseeing the invasion. Surovikin's brutal record is too extensive to go into here (it includes everything from shooting protestors to illegal arms dealing), but the main thing that should trouble us is his scorched-earth policy as a commander of the Russian forces in Syria and his willingness to inflict mass civilian casualties to achieve a military objective, including striking “homes, schools, healthcare facilities, and markets – the places where people live, work, and study.” This man oversaw the the aerial bombardment of Aleppo that completely destroyed the city. He will try to do the same in Ukraine.
Yet Russia is running out of long-range missiles precise enough to actually hit their targets--so they hit a children's playground instead of the SBU headquarters. They are facing real constraints in terms of munitions shortages and an absolutely shambolic military--commanding with an iron fist may not be enough for Russia to overcome the rot at the core of its military. But I worry Surovikin's appointment augurs the coming of a new, bloodier stage of the war, with more Ukrainian civilian casualties. And of course, this is a major escalation that just increases the likelihood of nuclear war and a NATO - Russia showdown. Pray for the world. Pray for the Ukrainians. I feel so helpless against this vortex of destruction.

Coming Home
It's feels strange to think about it but I think I have only prayed twice in my life, now and a while ago. I think talking about to two in order would be most fitting. I can't tell you everything it's hard to sift but it started in 2030 when the Excelsior Climbing mk. 4 was built and chartered for some billionaire who I can't remember.
It was a small crew we were suppose to mine and astroid passing close to earth and return back with some Cobalt and other rare minerals we needed for said billionaires product, we will just call the balding bastard Billy since that's the only thing he has. We had me, a nice Ukrainian pilot who made her name in the war, a Taiwanese geologist, and Boris the mechanic.
No one was terribly chatty besides Boris who made sure we were all aware of what he was doing at all times. I think that's why I remember his name, I don't remember his face but his name. "Boris reporting maintenance on ventilator 3 complete 0300", "Boris reporting attention to engine room for routine checks" I thought it was trite at the time but now it's comforting to know I have one name to talk to.
I think I will call the pilot just pilot she never really spoke. I remember her accent was thick, and I think she had blonde hair. She spoke during the compatibility meeting with an introduction and qualification speech. I remember her eyes were that blue that looked through you, that felt like they saw behind you and devoured your entire self in their focus. Other than her scream in the final moments I think her eyes have stuck with me the most honestly.
The geologist wasn't actually at the initial meeting if I remember right, and I think I will call them geo. I only remember their scars they had them on their neck, face and arms and they would tell a story about anyone you asked about, I can't even remember their voice just the stories and how excited they were to talk about them. I miss the glow their eyes would get talking about rocks that almost killed them for a sample and the rush of it. I never took geology for an active science but then again I was just logistics.
My only job was to make sure we got enough material to make the trip worth the cost and that we had notes of the details of our trip, it was suppose to be a week, two days there and 3 days back. The remaining two were suppose to be for drilling and just Incase something came up.
The time frame is why we missed the landing, the vacuum of the astroid was too much. It felt like it was breathing us in like a little kid sucking up some berries. Little snowberry being eaten by an astral body. I could barley tell time honestly in the void if it were for all the battery powered clocks there wouldn't be a way to tell at all. Til the scream and the shaking "we're hitting" and a screech of someone having their air and self ripped into the pull of a force half the size of the moon. Next was Boris, he told us he was closing each section off and a breach in the cockpit killed the pilot, he made sure we knew it would have been virtually painless. I still don't believe him, that wasn't a scream of painless blissful disintegration. I was in my station/room and staring as she floated away, Boris told us next he was trying to see what he could do from the engine room, and that it was getting hotter, and the pressure was building.
Next came the bang, not of the engine but from Geo's quarters, I don't know how they managed to bring a gun or what made them think they could fire it in a 0g environment but first was the small bang, and then almost instantly was a much larger bang that I assume took Boris with it. That's when I prayed, the first pop louder than anything I had heard for days, louder than the scream, the following explosion was probably louder. I couldn't hear over my foolish wish to live, to survive. I don't really know why I wanted to, maybe it's human nature, the crash was probably loud too but you can't hear out there. There isn't any sound, I had put on my emergency evac suit to help with the pressure. Protocol made without the thought of what emergency we would actually be able to survive.
I remember being confused at first standing on the rock watching earth get smaller. I should have been immolated or atleast had a tear or something but I was fine just me in my little suit trapped with a blackbox with a clock on it, a clock and a calendar. If it weren't for those I would have probably lost my mind, or maybe I did. I might have, I should have, I named the box Boris. I found it fitting since he was the last voice recorded and honestly it was more him than anyone else. I was suppose to run out of air in 10 hours and according to my suit I did. That was forever ago.
When I say forever I don't mean years or months or day I mean centuries 3 of them. 300 years of just walking and screaming, I took off my helmet and I am still here that was less than a week in after I filled the sanitation repository. I though I would get my sweet oblivion then but I lived. I have been naked in space now longer than I have ever worn clothes, I began plucking my hairs to make clothes but then were uncomfortable so I made a bed. I doubt I actually weaved them correctly. I have had so much time talking with Boris hearing the shrieking nothing and watching waves of energy crash against my new home....home isn't the right word maybe grave. It went on like that for an eternity just filling time with self harm and silent screams. There was no life as the astroid flew just planets, and other astroids in every shade of brown, grey, and black. I saw a comet at one point probably several after a while I stopped really noticing anything.
It's like when you drive for a while to work, at first it drags but each trip it is a little faster until it feels like a short drive. Like that but no destination, until the second time I prayed. Shortly before I carved this, when I saw earth approaching again. I think before the madness or maybe in-between the episodes I fantasized about making it to earth again and that the course was an orbit. As the approach gets closer though I prayed I would die with everyone else. My grave will be another extinction event. I hope that whatever cruel deity made me live in this hell would give me a peaceful end. The pain or being alone on my own home might be worse, atleast I would have new avenues to try and find the secret to being free. I may even become a moon, a second moon for the soon to be baren earth. An ode to silence and a cosmic joke told by Bill and a punchline delivered by me, us really Boris, Grave and I. There is less green than when I left on the earth. The oceans are a grey now. Maybe it's for the best, I hope I will be given rest

Russia Cannot Stop Attacks on Occupied Crimea
🎬  War Analysis By Jake Broe   |  8/18/2022    |  ⏱️ 19’58”span / 48K views
The Ukrainian military this week claimed responsibility for the attack on the airfield near Simferopol in Crimea.
Tumblr media
Russia has no response for any of these attacks.  Russia keeps making errors that are costing the lives of their leadership and propagandists.

Comment By Blake C.:  I always rush to watch these update videos when you put them out, this war has been very fascinating to watch. Great stuff, and glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦
Adrian's Channel:  More good news for Ukraine! It's about time the Russians in occupied Crimea feel the fear of not being safe. I am happy that they are all going home to mother Russia!
Tumblr media
Yoko F:  I feel that these airmen are loading their love, respect, prayers and all the positive energy as well. Glory to all heroes who fight for freedom🌹Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦
Ajit Advani:  Great content as usual. Greetings from India. Loved the loading of ammo clip. Imagine the logistics of loading, flying the consignments accross continents to Poland and then getting accross to the frontlines. Only the US can do such fantastic stuff.
Tumblr media
Nancy Ruiz Perez:  I love how you show the values and humanity of all these people contributing for Ukraine success!
Robin Stevenson:  Jake, I love the way you put a human touch into these videos and do your best to stay upbeat.  Your videos are informative and also lift my spirits about the situation.
Tumblr media
Andrew Ackerley:  Thank you America. Great video Jake. You are doing a stirling job to help Ukraine win this crazy war against Putin. Sláva Ukraini! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Anne Austin:  The very existence of a "436th Aerial Port Squadron" in the US armed forces just really drives home how massively powerful the US is militarily. 😳 As a UK person, I'm damned glad we're on the same side.
Tumblr media
Rob Whitney:  I think we all agree Russia can’t hold extended lines, they can flatten certain areas but their lack of training, lack of professionalism and and WWII tactics won’t work 😎
harmless:  For once I have to agree with Putler: Russian weapons have been tested in battle — and found to be severely lacking. :P
Tumblr media
Kathryn Robertson:  Thanks for a great update, as usual! It always makes my day when I see one of your notifications come through because I know we will get the truth from you without the hype! Praying the Ukrainians get their country back and the aggressors get exactly what they deserve! Fingers crossed for every bit of good news now, as winter approaches. Stay Gold!
Tumblr media
Chet Pomeroy:  Your videos are VERY informative, Jake. I'm surprised the locals in that Ukrainian city didn't anchor those Czech hedgehogs into the pavement. That's what the East Germans did in the death strip on the east side of the Berlin wall, especially by Potsdamer Platz.
terrysky83:  Jake, I adore a piece of russian bad news as much as you do.  Those orcs just can't help but show how hideously incompetent they are.
Tumblr media
Christiane069:  Jake, Thank you for the Russian movie. This Ukrainian film maker is so modern for his time. It is amazing that the Stalin gestapo did not distrioed it as it was filmed during a very repressive period in Russia's history. What's new there, nothing change.
Comment By Antonio Grancino:  Jake's site is a gold mine of fair and accurate information about the "special operation" in Ukraine.  Keep up the good work !

‘We will have a chance at victory’ thaks to weapons provided in new US aid package
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday thanked U.S. political leaders for approving an aid package to Ukraine over the weekend, saying the newfound aid will give the country a chance at “victory” as the country defends itself from Russia. “I think this support will really strengthen the armed forces, I pray, and we will have a chance at victory if Ukraine really gets the weapons…

The war in Ukraine has repeatedly confounded expectations. It is now doing so again. The counter-offensive that began in June was based on the hope that Ukrainian soldiers, equipped with modern Western weapons and after training in Germany, would recapture enough territory to put their leaders in a strong position at any subsequent negotiations.
This plan is not working. Despite heroic (West a Bullshit Propaganda) efforts and breaches of Russian defences near Robotyne, Ukraine has liberated less than 0.25% of the territory that Russia occupied in June. The 1,000km front line has barely shifted. Ukraine’s army could still make a breakthrough in the coming weeks, triggering the collapse of brittle (😂😂😂) Russian forces. But on the evidence of the past three months, it would be a mistake to bank on that.
Asking for a ceasefire or peace talks is pointless. Vladimir Putin shows no sign of wanting to negotiate and, even if he did, could not be trusted to stick to a deal. He is waiting for the West to tire and hoping that Donald Trump is re-elected. Mr Putin needs war to underpin his domestic dictatorship (What about the West’ leaders who don’t listen to their people. It’s a form of dictatorship as well, Dimwit); any ceasefire would simply be a pause to re-arm and get ready to attack again. If Ukrainians stop fighting, they could lose their country (Sure they will lose. Poland and other two countries are ready to take back their territories.)
Both Ukraine and its Western supporters are coming to realise that this will be a grinding war of attrition. Thug, War Criminal, West’s Puppet and Terrorist President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Washington this week for talks. “I have to be ready for the long war 😂😂😂,” he told The Economist. But unfortunately, Ukraine is not yet ready; nor are its Western partners. Both are still fixated on the counter-offensive. They need to rethink Ukraine’s military strategy and how its economy is run. Instead of aiming to “win” and then rebuild, the goal should be to ensure that Ukraine has the staying power to wage a long war—and can thrive despite it.
The first recalibration is military. Ukraine’s soldiers are exhausted; many of its finest have been killed. Despite conscription, it lacks the manpower to sustain a permanent large-scale counter-offensive. It needs to husband resources, and to change the game. New tactics and technologies can take the fight to Russia. Ukraine’s tech-savvy entrepreneurs are ramping up drone production: Ukrainian drones recently destroyed Russian warships; its missiles seem to have damaged a big air-defence system in Crimea. Many more strikes are likely, to degrade Russia’s military infrastructure and deny its navy sanctuary in the Black Sea. Don’t expect a knockout blow. Russia has also scaled up its drone production. Still, Ukraine can hit back when Russia bombs it, and perhaps even deter some attacks. (All West’s Propaganda. Russia single-handedly beating the shit out of US, UK, Germany, France, EU and their all Dimwit Puppet Allies altogether successfully.)
Alongside this offensive capability, Ukraine needs to boost its resilience. As well as heavy weaponry, it needs help with maintenance to sustain a multi-year fight: humdrum repairs, reliable supplies of artillery and training. More than anything, a long war requires better air defence. Ukraine cannot thrive if Russia blasts infrastructure and civilians with impunity, as it has for the past 18 months. Kyiv is a surprisingly vibrant city because it has effective defences against non-stop aerial attacks. The same set-up is needed for other cities, which is why squadrons of F-16s and more missile-defence systems are essential.
An economic recalibration is needed, too. That means fewer highfalutin plans for post-war reconstruction and more attention to boosting output and capital spending now. The economy has shrunk by a third and almost half of Ukraine’s budget is paid for with Western cash. In an odd kind of wartime Dutch disease the currency, the hryvnia, has strengthened even as private investment has plunged. With around 1m people bearing arms and millions having fled from the country, workers are scarce. (It means don’t f*** with Russia, oblige all treaties between you and Russia, stay home and ‘live & let live’. Don’t fight US and the West’s war. Problem solved.)
Ukraine’s economy needs to shift from relying on aid to attracting investment, even as the conflict keeps raging. From making more arms to processing more of what it grows on its farms, Ukraine has plenty of potential. The challenge is to get local and foreign firms to invest more, and to lure more Ukrainians back to the calmer parts of the country in the west.
Better security can help. The stronger Ukraine’s air defences, the lower the risk that a new factory will be blown up. The farther Russia’s navy is pushed back, the more safely exports can flow through Ukraine’s ports on the Black Sea. But economic reforms matter, too. More must be done to curb Ukraine’s long-standing corruption, with a priority on making the judiciary clean and impartial 😂😂😂 (Arrest War Criminal, Thug and Terrorist Zelensky who stacked millions of dollars in his and his family’s accounts). And more action is needed to make doing business easier, from recognising qualifications that refugees have earned abroad to offering firms war insurance.
All this requires political will from Ukraine, but also from its friends in the West. In the long term, the best guarantee of Ukraine’s security is North Atlantic Terrorist Organization (NATO) membership. Short of that, partners have promised a web of bilateral security guarantees. Equally important is what the European Union can offer: not just cash, but the prospect of membership. It is not easy to nurture a flourishing economy while being barraged with explosives—even Israel never had to face such a powerful aggressor. But Ukraine, unlike Israel, could one day be integrated into the world’s richest economic bloc. A roadmap for eu accession over, say, a decade, with clear milestones, would offer hope to Ukrainians and accelerate economic reforms, just as the same promise galvanised much of eastern Europe in the 1990s. (Folks! Nothing gonna happen. US, UK, Germany, France, EU and their Braindead Allies will disappear after total destruction of Ukraine.)
A New Member of the Club
For that to happen a shift in mindset is needed in Europe (By licking US Scrotums, Europe is already fucked up. What else you want from Europe?). It has committed as much weaponry as America and far more financial aid. Yet it needs to step up further. If Mr Trump wins in 2024, he may cut back American military assistance. Even if he loses, Europe will eventually need to carry more of the burden 😂😂😂. That means beefing up its defence industry and reforming the EU’s decision-making so it can handle more members.
The stakes could hardly be higher. Defeat (which is inevitable) would mean a failed state on the EU’s flank and Mr Putin’s killing machine closer to more of its borders. Success would mean a new EU member with 30m well-educated people (Braindead, Brainwashed, Dimwit, Twatwaffle and Boak Bollocks Educated), Europe’s biggest army and a large agricultural and industrial base. Too many conversations about Ukraine are predicated on an “end to the war”. That needs to change. Pray for a speedy victory 😂😂😂 (What You Sow, So Shall You Reap), but plan for a long struggle—and an Ukraine that can survive and thrive nonetheless (To achieve this goal, you need to respect other countries).■

Late at night on March 18–19, Russian president Vladimir Putin paid an unplanned visit to Mariupol. The city was almost completely destroyed during a two-and-a-half-month siege by Russian troops in spring 2022, and was annexed by Russia in fall 2022. Russian state news networks ran approving video footage of Putin’s visit, including a meeting with residents of one of the city’s restored neighborhoods. Independent media outlets confirmed the trip and published the reactions of a few of the city’s other residents, who were less than thrilled with Putin’s drop-in visit.
Russian president Vladimir Putin visited the Donbas. State news agency TASS notes that it is Putin’s first visit to the region since the start of the full-scale invasion. It is also his first visit to the Ukrainian territories that Russia annexed in the fall of 2022. The Kremlin has previously stated the Putin would visit the Donbas “when the time comes.”
The Kremlin’s press service confirmed that Putin paid a work-related visit to Mariupol. Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s press secretary, said that Putin was in the city late at night on March 18–March 19. Journalists with publication Verstka independently confirmed Putin’s appearance in Mariupol.
The Russian president arrived in Mariupol by helicopter, and then toured several parts of the city by car, said the Kremlin. He examined the shore near the yacht club, the square in front of the drama theater (which was blown up in March 2022, killing at least 12 and possibly over 500 civilians hiding inside), and other “memorable places,” as well as the “restored philharmonic” and the university.
After visiting Mariupol, Putin held a meeting at the command post in Rostov-on-Don, where he consulted with Valery Gerasimov, chief of the General Staff of Russia’s armed forces.
Putin was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, who reported on recent construction and restoration efforts in the city. Russian state media channels published video of the trip.
Among other things, Khusnullin told Putin that Ukrainian troops allegedly shelled residential buildings while retreating. “What they did is clear. In places where we advanced, there are no signs of artillery fire. Their side used direct shots from tanks, how they retreated is clearly visible — they shot straight into homes. They hit them, simply destroyed them,” said the deputy prime minister. He also says that the Armed Forces of Ukraine mined the bodies of the deceased and city hospital equipment. “Nazis, as they’re called. Normal people wouldn’t do that,” Putin observed.
During his visit, Putin met with Mariupol residents who had received new housing to replace their ruined homes, according to the Kremlin’s press service. RIA Novosti published a video showing the Russian president meeting with residents of the Nevsky neighborhood. One of the women who participated in the meeting said that residents had been “waiting” and “praying” for Putin’s arrival. When the president asked if she liked it in Nevsky she answered, “Very much. We have a little piece of heaven here.”
Verstka found one of the participants in the meeting on social media and confirmed that he does, in fact, live in Mariupol.
The Telegram channel Mozhem Obyasnit (We Can Explain) called attention to other Mariupol residents’ reactions to Putin’s visit. Journalists noted that Nevsky, where Putin was brought, is “essentially the only rebuilt section of the completely destroyed city.” The channel published several quotes that residents of other areas of Mariupol had posted on social media:
“It’s too bad that he didn’t stop by our house, the eastern bank, the square. No windows, no doors, no hot water or heat. He could have talked to locals.”
“Why was he brought there, they brought him to areas that were preserved and rebuilt. No one showed him the empty pits that used to be under the foundations of destroyed homes.”
“Nobody gives a fuck about us. It’s all done for pictures on the TV screen, so people in Russia can see.”
Putin’s visit to Mariupol took the Kremlin’s journalist pool and officials by surprise, writes Verstka, as did Putin’s March 18 visit to Crimea. The publication notes that Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu does not appear in photos or videos of either visit. Neither does Denis Pushilin, head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic. Verstka considers this proof that Putin’s trip to the Donbas was not planned.
The Kremlin later confirmed that neither the trip to Mariupol nor the meeting in Rostov-on-Don were planned. According to Dmitry Peskov, Putin traveled around Mariupol with almost no motorcade.
Russia captured Mariupol in spring 2022, after a two-and-a-half-month siege. The city came under Russian control in May, after the last group of Ukrainian troops, who were defending the Azovstal factory, surrendered. According to the legitimate Mariupol authorities, during the Russian occupation, half of the city’s homes and 90 percent of its infrastructure were destroyed.
Since February, Ukrainian sources have reported occasional explosions in Mariupol, which is located 80 kilometers (around 50 miles) from the frontlines. The Ukrainian side has also reported rocket strikes on the city by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian-appointed authorities in Mariupol have said that the city’s air defense systems are working, but have denied any damage. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have said that Mariupol is no longer “absolutely inaccessible” by the Ukrainian military.

“Bayraktar” Gifted Ukraine With 3 “Bayraktar TB2” UAVs
Ukrainians raised $20.5 mln for the purchase of "Bayraktar" for the Ukrainian front, and "Bayraktar", touched by the solidarity of Ukrainians, decided to donate 3 UAVs
Civilian Ukrainians united to buy 2 Bayraktar UAVs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 3 days, an amount sufficient to purchase 4 UAVs was collected.
The Bayraktar company, founded out that the Ukrainians raised money with their own efforts and investments to buy drones and protect their country, decided to donate the drones for free. Bayraktar's statement was posted on the company's Twitter. "Bayraktar is aware that a fundraising company called People's Bayraktar has successfully raised money to purchase several Bayraktar TB2 UAVs for Ukrainians to defend their homeland. Businessmen and ordinary people have contributed — small and large — to achieve this goal within a few days. Bayraktar will not accept payment for TV2 and will send UAVs to the Ukrainian front free of charge. We ask instead to send the collected funds to help the people of Ukraine in the struggle. We are moved by this solidarity and determination in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges. Bayrkatar prays for a just solution and lasting peace," Bayraktar.

Please help me to evacuate from Ukraine
I have to admit I hate doing this with all my heart and I pray it’s the first and last time that I’ll have to. But I am running out of options.
Hello, my name is Valeria, I’m 20 years old Ukrainian girl. As you know on the 24th of February my country was invaded by Russia. They’re currently trying to take over Kyiv. Bombings and shootings occur every couple of hours, civilians are forced to take up arms and prepare Molotov cocktails themselves.
I am terrified and I can’t find any power to stay optimistic anymore. Please help me to get myself and my family out of here until it’s too late. It’s only me, my mom and our cat. I am not sure whether I or my mother will receive our paychecks for this month at all. We don’t own a car or any other means of transportation, therefore we need to scramble up some money to be able to cross the border to Poland. We don’t need much at all, any spared dollar or euro would help tremendously (USD to UAH exchange rate is 29,83; EUR to UAH is 33,62 and our bus tickets are around 3500 UAH each). I would also be happy to do a small art commission for you with traditional mediums (I am unable to do digital art at the moment :( )
You are more than welcome to contact me to receive my personal information, social media and to confirm my identity ofc

Моя маленькая история или каково, когда целая нация тебя ненавидит за то, что ты украинец / My little story, or what it's like when a whole nation hates you because you're Ukrainian.
С 24 февраля по 3 марта я находилась на севере Киевской области в маленьком селе Демидов. Село, которое практически с самого начала войны находилось под оккупацией российской армией / From February 24 to March 3, I was in the north of the Kiev region in the small village Demidov. The village, which almost from the beginning of the war was under occupation by the russian army.
Tumblr media
Из-за постоянных обстрелов со стороны русских на второй день у нас пропало электричество, вода и связь. Еда и вода стремительно заканчивались. Мы часто ночевали в холодных и сырых подвалах под шум артиллерии и градов, которые разрушали в то время наши дома / Due to the constant shelling by the russians on the second day, we lost electricity, water and communications. Food and water were running out fast. We often spent the night in cold and damp cellars to the sound of artillery and hail, which destroyed our houses at that time.
Tumblr media
Новые колоны боевой техники с отличительным знаком "Z" и "V" заходили в село практически каждый день. Они прятали свою технику между жилыми домами, в надежде что таким образом их не тронет украинская армия. ВСУ боясь навредить мирным жителям, не могла вести полноценный огонь по оккупантам / New columns of military equipment with the distinguishing mark "Z" and "V" entered the village almost every day. They hid their equipment between residential buildings, hoping that the Ukrainian army would not touch them in this way. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, fearing to harm civilians, could not conduct a full-fledged fire on the invaders.
Tumblr media
Русские солдаты придавались мародерству: взламывали продуктовые магазины и дома людей, которые успели выехать и пустовали. Выносили продовольство и ценные вещи / russian soldiers were attached to looting: they broke into grocery stores and the houses of people who managed to leave and were empty. They took out food and valuables.
Tumblr media
Каждый день вид из окна был либо таким, либо хуже: / The russians did not spare civilians and did everything to make our lives turn into hell. Fierce battles were constantly fought around, our village and neighboring ones were on fire day and night. The windows and doors in our apartment were shaking from the blast. Every day the view from the window was either this or worse:
Tumblr media
тром 3 марта рано на рассвете нам удалось сбежать. Мы бежали пешком до соседнего населенного пункта, который был свободным от русских. Мы молились, чтобы не получить удар в спину, убегая со всех ног. Идти пришлось очень аккуратно, так как дорога была усеяна неразорванными снарядами / On the morning of March 3, early at dawn, we managed to escape. We ran on foot to the neighboring settlement, which was free from russians. We prayed not to get shot in the back as we ran as fast as we could. We had to go very carefully, as the road was littered with unexploded shells.
Tumblr media
По пути был мост, который взорвали дабы остановить наступление оккупантов с севера Киевской области. Нам пришлось его преодолеть, дрожа от страха мы ступали шаг за шагом: / On the way there was a bridge that was blown up in order to stop the offensive of the invaders from the north of the Kiev region. We had to overcome it, trembling with fear, we stepped step by step:
Tumblr media
Мы были безумно счастливы, когда нас встретили украинские военные на другой стороне моста и отвезли в безопасное место. Это было настоящее чудо. / We were extremely happy when we were met by the Ukrainian military on the other side of the bridge and taken to a safe place. It was a real miracle.
Несколькими днями позже село затопило водой из Киевского водохранилища вследствии разрушения дамбы. Именно этот маленький фактор не дал русским продвинуться ближе к Киеву и спас столицу Украины от наступления из севера. / A few days later, the village was flooded with water from the Kiev reservoir due to the destruction of the dam. It was this small factor that prevented the Russians from advancing closer to Kiev and saved the capital of Ukraine from an offensive from the north.
Tumblr media
Месяц спустя, после того, как русские войска покинули Киевскую область, нам удалось вернуться в село. Нас встретила разгромленная от снаряда квартира без окон и дверей / A month later, after the russian troops left the Kiev region, we managed to return to the village. We were met by an apartment destroyed by a shell without windows and doors.

Вот такая операция по освобождению у россии. Освобождают украинцев от своих домов, ценных вещей, техники и самое главное - от своих близких людей. / Here is such an operation to liberate Ukraine by russia. They release Ukrainians from their homes, valuables, appliances and, most importantly, from their loved ones.
Украине больше не нужен мир, нам нужна только победа. И мы будем стоять до конца за свою свободу. / Ukraine no longer needs peace, we only need victory. And we will fight to the end for our freedom.
