Random BG3 drawing stuff that might be useful:
This BG3 Face Reference Library; I really only draw Gale, Halsin and Gale at the moment (Wyll's horns elude me, sorry beautiful boy), so that's who's in my library. Most of it is pulled from Tumblr, so please don't repost it. I am slowly adding the other companions, as well as Withers, Rolan, Rugan, Zevlor and taking requests for others.
Astarion (92 images)
Gale (45 images)
Halsin (72 images)
The high-elven font from the game - probably most memorable from Astarion's grave. First font I ever made, so it's not too fancy, but it gets the job done.
AdorkaStock on Deviant Art;
A pose library, one of the best IMHO. Formerly SeishiStock. Some fantastic group poses.
TheMaleNudeStock:
make sure you read that name before you click on it. No photos for this one, you'll have to use your imagination or click the link.
Daestock:
an inactive account with some AWESEOME action poses
Magic Poser:
Posable reference tool on iPad. My go to, I've been using it for six years and it's lovingly reliable. Plus it's fun to make their hips swish when I'm bored. I paid the $10 one-time pro charge to have a decent amount of the presents unlocked. It's super basic, but it does work on ipad, which is super handy!
Face Model for iPad:
a posable model for faces with a steep learning curve. It's glitchy, hitchy and all around itchy, but is very worth it when you're struggling with a particular facial expression that you couldn't find a perfectly angled reference for. Cost me $3.99, one time cost.
Procreate:
trusty, rusty Procreate, does it even need to be mentioned?
What tools do you use? What should I add to this list?

I'm still upset about the amount of notes on that one popular Arcane post that reveals a tendency from self taught artists to be shameful of their use of references, or to avoid them. So please check this out:
It's a blog post by Tommy Arnold, the artist who illustrated the omnibus version of the popular Murderbot series. And in it, he walks you through how he prepares his illustrations, beginning with a sketch :
Then taking his own reference images of himself and friends :
And banging up compositions, sometimes patchworking limbs from different shots :
Final result, which is, you know, a paid, professional illustration in a printed omnibus :
USE FUCKING REFERENCES.
References are professional tools. Also read the whole blog post it's enlightening.

[ID: Nine photos of a white hand holding a painted cane at different angles, with white walls and a fake wood floor in the background.
The cane is first shown from the side, with the black wrist strap off, then on, then from above at an angle. The cane is then held in the other hand, and shown closer up from the side, at a different angle, and a above, with the wrist strap off. The last three show the wrist strap on, and still in the left hand from multiple angles at close up to show the positions of the fingers.
The cane is painted with three pride flags. The first is the progress trans flag with stripes of purple, black, blue, pink, yellow, white, yellow, pink, blue, black, and purple.
Then the aroace flag, with stripes of orange, yellow, white, light blue, and dark blue.
Finally, a rainbow of brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and black.
End ID.]
Some more cane drawing references so you can draw disabled characters better.
More photos at:
Cripplepunk - Offset cane collection on Pexels. is missing some because Pexels is annoying.
Web archive collection
I'd post them all here to tumblr, but tumblr keeps eating them and i don't feel like having to sit here an upload them all one at a time.
You're encouraged to download these if you find them helpful. That's why I'm making them.

Are people okay to use your videos/photos as references for art? I have a character who uses a bow and dude, you're poses are just, like, perfect for him! Completely fine if not!!
Absolutely! A part of why I do these is to provide resources for writers and artists, so please do! And if you're comfortable sharing the results, please tag me- I'd love to see it 😁
And if anyone's ever looking for references for specific poses (either one I've not covered, or a close-up/ still image/ muscle reference), let me know! I'm happy to do references on request, either for my Patrons or on a one-off basis 😁

I'm posting this pose reference sheet here, because I will be doing few OC arts based on this. I will say that this is where they were referenced from.
It was made by @Magical Pouch as you can see at the top.
