JANG MIJOO was born on February 20, 2000, in MOKPO, SOUTH KOREA to a religious family. She was raised with both her religion and school life as her top two priorities. However, during her childhood, she'd grown a love for singing. She would sing all the time, to the point the people around her would get annoyed of it. Though they couldn't deny that she had a beautiful voice. This is when her parents decided to make use of her talents by putting her in their services choir. Due to this, Mijoo and her family quickly became notable members of their church.

Although she enjoyed singing with her church, Mijoo saw something bigger for herself. She saw herself becoming a name that people would recognize. This was when she realized that she wanted to become a gospel singer. At the age of 13, Mijoo uploaded her very first video to YouTube of her singing a rendition of one of her favorite gospel songs. This would become a frequent for the young girl as she would go on to post multiple covers at least every two weeks.

Gradually, she would see a rise in views that would eventually lead to her discovery by HONEYMOON AVE Productions at the age of 16 years old. Mijoo went on to sign a contract with them and would gear up for a solo debut only a year later. She would release a few songs before going practically radio silent until 2020 when her contract was bought by FLEURY RECORDS. Following her new exclusive contract, Mijoo began her training with the Envie lineup and continued to debut as the group's MAIN VOCALIST

YING JIALI, formerly known as POPPY, was born on June 7, 2000, in Huangzhou, China, but moved to NEW YORK, where she resided in QUEENS. She was raised in a household with her two sisters--one older, one younger--by her cook mother and her father who worked an office job. Her childhood wouldn't be described as ideal by anyone, as her father was abusive to her, her siblings, and her mother alike. Even though she would stay quiet and to herself in the house, she would receive majority of his lashings.

Even in the strife, Jiali found her passion. She was in love with dancing and would use it as an escape from her challenging domesticity situation. With an idea of how she could get away from her father, she snuck out on several occasions to auditions for dance teams. Somewhere along the lines, Jiali found out about K-Pop and was inspired by senior groups like GIRLS' GENERATION and FLOE&HAIL. This is when she would stumble upon advertising for global auditions at FLEURY RECORDS, which excited her because it happened to be the agency that housed the group mentioned prior. She would sneak out once again and audition for the label and luckily was accepted.

In one night, she would quickly leave her family behind, writing notes specifically for her sisters and mother. She vowed to provide for them once she makes it where she wants to be in life. She began training with Fleury and was even sent to participate in the 2018 survival show PRODUCE 48 as POPPY where she would ultimately rank #18, unfortunately not making it into the lineup. Although disappointed, this would later work out in her favor when she would be able to debut as Envie's MAIN DANCER, LEAD RAPPER, and SUB-VOCAL.

It's safe to say that she was raised in a wealthy household, her upbringing never being one in struggle of finance and bathing in luxurious items. From the time she was 4 years old, she pursued a serious career in ballet. Her mother, in spite of being a psychiatrist proved to take a serious mental toll on her daughter as she seemed to live vicariously through Kiyeon. She was unhealthily attached to her life and often pressured her in her ballet career. Though at her prestigious studio a lot of her peers despised her, and the competition was dire, Kiyeon's own mother probably served as her biggest enemy.

Somewhere along the lines, she was deemed something close to a prodigy by her instructors and peers alike. She would go on to score lead roles in a large sum of the institution's productions, but this wouldn't come without heavy competition between her and one of her friends at the company that would last for years and be a detrimental to her psyche. Either way, because of her performance quality, she would be scouted by a talent agent at Fleury and become a favorite among the trainees. After training with the ensemble, she would debut as Envie's beloved MAIN VOCALIST, LEAD DANCER, and VISUAL.

KANNIKA SHINAWATRA, professionally known as YANA or YANA SHINAWATRA, was born on September 13, 2002, in CHIANGMAI, THAILAND to an acupuncturist father and an actress mother. From a very young age, Yana knew what she wanted to be: a star. She looked up to her mother as a little girl who was a popular actress in Thailand and often wished to be adored just like her mother. Yana began getting recognized once she got a little older and was often casted for small roles as a child actress for advertisements and tv series. However, acting wasn't really a passion for Yana. It was performing that inspired her most.

Talent agents recognized Yana's natural star power and often tried to scout her for multiple opportunities. But there was one thing that stood in the way of her dream, her mother. Her mother found her charisma and talent cute when she was younger but seemingly started to sabotage her own daughter. She would purposely ruin her chances to claim fame and get big. Yana's mother felt as though because she was getting older and receiving less attention, her daughter was beginning to steal all of her limelight. Her jealousy caused much conflict between the two, many extreme arguments conspiring almost every day within the household.

This led to Yana finding a manager of her own instead of her mother playing the role. Due to this, she was given the chance to seek labels that would be able to house her best. She would then audition for Fleury and ultimately be accepted, where she would begin her training with Envie, eventually debuting as the charming MAIN RAPPER, LEAD DANCER, LEAD VOCAL, and MAKNAE.

Personality & Attitude: Quick-witted and audacious, Nancy isn't one to shy away from a challenge—especially when it comes to unveiling the true natures of her acquaintances. If there is one thing that she despises, it's when things remain hidden. She is curious and playful, and while some may mistake her prodding nature for one of a mercurial disposition, she sees it more as a comedic privilege to be the subject of her questioning gaze. In spite of her seeming insensitivity to the privacy of others, Nancy does often know when and where to draw the lines of dangerous territory. When she discovers something too grand for public outing, her thoughts go down in writing.

To her, no idea is too sacred to be questioned, no idea is too fundamental to be scrutinized, and no rule is too important to not be thoroughly tested. She loves the originality of life and when people or things surprise her, as she can often become bored when things remain stale for too long. It is then that she will turn toward her writing, as the diaries that she keeps contain a great deal of intrigue. Nancy, above all, is surprisingly accepting of others and their shortcomings. In an almost twisted manner, she is more often drawn to those that have baggage or things to hide— the flawed people, the outcasts, and the tainted.

Friends: - Rowena Ravenclaw After her death, Nancy found comfort in Rowena and was the only one that she would speak to for quite some time. Rowena provided a mentor-like support to her, and in the many years to come was the constant friend that she needed - Zenobia Noke Nancy took pity on Zenobia as she often suffered malevolent behaviour from her peers. After some students went and hid the girl's gobstones around the castle, Nancy helped her search for them and even provided some light torment to those that participated. In turn, Zenobia also acted as a bit of a physical assistant to Nancy during her time at Hogwarts, helping transcribe her findings on certain things.

Allies: - Luna Lovegood In later years, Nancy spent quite some time with Luna Lovegood after growing curious about the "nargles" she seemed to always mention. Just as with Zenobia, Nancy also helped Luna in moments of experienced cruelty, and even provided some tips for her to navigating Hogwarts.

Enemies: - John and Lewis Faden Nancy used to be quite close John, though she only tolerated Lewis. Often disliking the way that Lewis seemed to take advantage of Castor, they did not get off on the right foot even though in other circumstances, they might've made good friends. After John ended up killing her with Lewis' help, that was the end of their relations. In moments when John would need to visit Hogwarts, Nancy would grow quiet....

S/O: - Castor Faden (ex) Nancy and Castor loved each other quite a lot, but not even the Fadens were exempt from Nancy's snooping. It was indeed how broken down Castor was as a kid that first drew Nancy to him. They were at first good friends, and soon that love turned into a romantic one. Unfortunately, their time together would not last particularly long as Nancy continued to push for discovering things about the brothers that they would've rather kept hidden. Castor was the most heartbroken over her death, dropping out of Hogwarts in shame.

࿐ History ࿐

Nancy’s upbringing was one of solitude. As the only child of a pure-blooded wizard and a muggle living in a house much larger than that which would need to accommodate primarily three people and a small staff, her childhood was largely spent in the comfort of her own imagination as she tried to find ways to entertain herself when her parents were busy—which was quite often. She found herself at first snooping on those that worked in the household and realized that she could get away with quite a lot when no one seemed to notice she was present. People-watching became her favorite game, and the lives of the people downstairs were much more interesting than staring at grass, or even dancing.

In light of the way that Nancy was kept separate from her parents to a degree, she recalled her youth only vaguely and with a perception that “nothing ever happened.” For her, this was undoubtedly true, but not for her parents. Nancy’s mother continued to work as a florist in spite of marrying into the wealth that high wizarding society provided, much to her husband’s dismay and the rest of those who had decided to subtly ostracize her from their collective functions. Arnold was always invited, but it was with a bout of reluctance when what followed was always and is Mrs. Maxwell invited?. Nancy was blissfully unaware of the marital turmoil of her parents as her mother struggled to be accepted and her father seemed to want the woman but not the muggle. Thus, unwilling to forsake the world that he was raised in, he slowly drifted away from her. And Prudence? She began a secret affair that would only just end upon receiving devastating news from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during Nancy’s fifth year of attendance. Nancy had discovered the affair when she was ten but instead of speaking to her mother about it, she decided to talk about it with the staff who consoled yet scolded her on her “blabbering.” Magic wasn’t anything particularly new to Nancy, as Arnold had prepared her quite early on for what was to come. Prudence on the other hand seemed less enthused about the whole ordeal when Nancy turned eleven and received her acceptance letter, seeing it partially as the ticket toward her daughter slipping into a life that she could never join her in, yet not realizing the rift that was already between them.

While at Hogwarts, Nancy’s snooping habits never ceased. The Sorting Hat actually laughed when it was placed upon her head, easily placing her in Ravenclaw but with the ominous warning of keep your spunk, but watch your back. As a parting gift, her mother had made her a diary with pressed flowers along the spine, and Nancy intended to put it to good use—albeit perhaps not the kind of use that her parents, nor the staff or students of Hogwarts would approve of. Her pursuit of truth, as she claimed it to be, had her spilling the beans on all sorts of trouble that students would get up to, relationship drama, and more. Everything would go down in her diary (which soon became diaries in the plural sense) and what was most interesting was circulated as hearsay. Soon enough, it became apparent that being the subject of Nancy Maxwell’s attention may not have been the best thing to be — especially if you had secrets to hide. John Faden was one such boy who saw her inside information as an advantage, however. As a fellow Ravenclaw, and a prefect, he would sometimes even help her in uncovering things or share insights, eventually acting almost like an older brother figure. Through John, Nancy became acquainted as well with Castor Faden and eventually Lewis, the latter of whom did not get along very well. Yet, Nancy had a certain interest in Castor and his interesting demeanor that she would often tease him was comparable to a wet blanket, yet a comforting blanket nonetheless.

The more that Nancy spent time with Castor, though, the more wary John and Lewis became, believing that it might’ve been an ulterior motive that Nancy had up her sleeve and that they had become her new targets. Unfortunately for everyone involved, they were not entirely wrong. It was no secret that Nancy was curious about Castor (and Lewis as well, but her displeasure with him was of greater standing), and as they grew older her platonic affections for him shifted into a romantic one. Would they have asked, Nancy would’ve kept their secrets private and only for her diaries’ inner pages…but they never asked.

Soon after coming back from Christmas holiday in her fifth year, Nancy caught Lewis performing a strange and dark ancient kind of magic in the Forbidden Forest with Castor and John alongside him. Thereafter, she was intent on uncovering more information about the boys. One day, as Nancy trailed them out to the forest once more, she neglected caution upon turning away and accidentally—and unwittingly—alerted Lewis to her presence. Later on when Castor wasn’t around, he told John what had transpired, much to both of their worry, and devised a plan to put an end to the dilemma. An exploding cauldron just barely missed her, attempting to steal the books didn’t work, and after a shocking hexed bludger came her way during a Quidditch match and landed her in the hospital wing for a time with a bad concussion, John began to have doubts that she would stop, and so he decided to take it a step further to a point he never wanted to go. While Nancy was not exactly unliked by her peers, it was clear that she wasn’t without her enemies and those that would sooner wish her gone. It surprised very few when her body was found in the Forbidden Forest, surrounded by the torn and burning pages of one of her diaries—the diary, that had Lewis or John bothered to read would have gained a greater respect for her loyalty toward them. After the announcement, whispers came about for how Nancy Maxwell died, but one nugget seemed to weave through many of the sentiments: Finally, someone got rid of that nosy, gossiping bitch.

Backstory

Aiden was born an only child in Tacoma to an otherwise seemingly happy couple. His father was a land surveyor and his mother a realtor, which meant he never had to want for a thing in his life. This also meant that he had been primarily raised by a nanny in his formative years when their jobs ate up all their time. Attention, of all things, is what he hoped for most, but it was hard to complain to anyone when instead he got every new game console and iPhone as they released.

When Aiden was in the end of fifth grade, it came to light that his father was having an emotional affair with a coworker. Although nothing physical had happened between them, it was enough to spur a divorce. After the ink on the papers dried and his mother purchased a new home, she took Aiden to Fairford and transferred him to the middle school there.

Moving to a new town meant leaving any of the friends he had behind, and in his new school Aiden quickly became a problem. Halfway through the year he already faced two suspensions from violence and destruction of property, but his mother did very little to rectify his behavior. A slap on the wrist, and some hush hush money later, not even getting into trouble earned him her attention. It never did look good for the realtor whose son was sending kids home with broken fingers and bloodied noses.

On weekends and every other Wednesday, he took a bus back to Tacoma to spend time with his father once he hit the age of thirteen. There was never an argument on his father’s end about not seeing his son, and his mother didn’t want to put in the effort of driving back and forth at the time. It was only after he was old enough to travel on his own. Although mentally exhausting, there was no animosity toward his parents, from him or between each other. It’s almost as if the marriage had been done long before that the sting of an affair in the making was easy to shake off.

This does not mean Aiden didn’t get into his own fair share of trouble throughout middle or high school either. Skating by with C’s and D’s in high school while in trouble for truancy and fighting any other classmates simply looked at him the wrong way. He also had no issues with destroying lockers or breaking beakers in the science lab, so on and so forth. He was known for running his mouth too much which led him to get into many physical altercations, so he learned how to fight to defend himself.

Around his sophomore year in high school, his father suffered a stroke that left him partially paralyzed. It put an end to his career, Aiden took it upon himself to help take care of him on the weekends he went to visit. He became a barback in a local dive bar, but also partnered up with coworkers to distribute and sell marijuana to leave money in his apartment after visits.

Despite his mother’s push for him to go to college, all chances were dashed when his math professor in his senior year refused to pass him. He didn’t want summer school, and in a reactive rage, Aiden got ahold of a bat from the gymnasium and shattered the wind shield to that teacher’s car. Instant expulsion left him the option of taking the G.E.D., which he did, so he settled in working as he had been and helped to support the house and bills for his father.

His mother been distant enough from Aiden she never caught on to where his money was going. His father passed when he was twenty-two from causes related to the stroke. The loss wasn’t horribly difficult to get over. Aiden did grieve for a brief period, became a shut in for a few months at all the resentment for not truly knowing his father as a person despite doing all he could to financially help, but in the same breath battling with the guilt over the relief he felt over it.

By the age twenty-five, his mother gave him the boot. Aiden relocated from where she lives on the Coral Coast to downtown Fairford. He has long since quit the drug selling scene and used his restaurant experience to become a line cook at Juniper Grill. He is going through the motions at this point, just to keep his head above water.

HPMA Appreciation Week 2023 → Day 2: Favorite OCs That Aren’t Mine

𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐲

→ Nate’s girl. She’s such a darling and my favorite HPMA Slytherin. She’s such a good complement for Nate. I love the complications in her story and the coincidental similarities between her life and Nate’s. She’s just a darling and has really helped to make Nate’s (and by extension, Finn’s) story come into a clearer focus, especially with some of the upcoming changes. She may not have been there from the start, but I love her and she’s such a good fit for Nate. @gaygryffindorgal

𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧

→ Jack’s girl. Probably Thea’s best friend. Benedict’s sister in every way but blood. Sage is one of a kind, hell bent on schedules, which makes her a brilliant complement for fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants Jack. Sage is the first in a series of Ravenclaw HPMA girls that I adore and the Whittens just wouldn’t be the same without her. @kc-and-co

𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐤

→ Benedict’s girl. Poppy is the second in the series of Ravenclaw girls that I adore. She’s the one who first truly gets beyond all of Ben’s walls and she’s a sweetheart. I love her, she’s just amazing and I can’t wait to see more of her! @cursebreakerfarrier (I also want to give a shout-out to Jasper because he’s one of the best MA professors and Camila’s favorite guy!)

𝐍𝐨𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡

→ Thea’s girl. Noa is great. I love all of her story and her relationship with Thea. I love that she becomes a quidditch player and all of her little details, as they’re all so interesting. I love her friendship with Poppy and Sage and am very amused by the way that all three Ravenclaw girls end up with a Whitten. She may be the newest to this little crew, but she’s one of my favorite Ravenclaw girls.. @thatravenpuffwitch (I’ll also offer a small shout-out to Rylie and Pat, who were part of why I ended making Declan O’Donnell-Lee a full-fledged OC.)

𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤

→ Declan’s girl. She’s such a darling and I love her backstory, it’s quite unique. I love her relationship with Declan and the ways in which their futures influence one another. She’s such a fun character and I love her. She may be the newest to my crew of HPMA love interests, but Callie is so great. @mjs-oc-corner

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚-𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐞

→ It felt appropriate to include a Hufflepuff (and a boy) as I haven’t focused much on that with this. So, after thinking on it and even with him being fairly new, Hermes still stands out as quite the interesting character. He also seems to be a great combination of his parents. @slytherindisaster

𝐆𝐰𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞

→ Gwen is such an interesting character, with all of her different interests. I like how all of her hobbies are all quite similar, yet different. She’s a very interesting character, with an interesting backstory and family. Plus Hufflepuffs are always some of the best characters. @magicallymalted

𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞

→ He was probably my first introduction to your characters and he’s quite an interesting one. I love his name (unsurprisingly, as I also have a kiddo named Declan who is also a Slytherin). I also love his faceclaim, which I’m also using but with a set of identical twin HPHL fankids. He’s got one of the most unique storylines amongst HPMA and he’s quite unique in general. I’m also not quite sure why, but he gives me similar vibes to my Lynch boys, like his vibe is a combination of Cillian’s and Tadhg’s, which is very interesting. @potionboy3
