On 9-6-23 I fished my favorite spot at Arc park in the evening. From 7pm till dark I caught four. Three Bass and one Red Eared Sunfish. I used my 3wt rod. The bass were caught on an orange size eight Morphin Mighty Micro. This fish came in first place at 15.5" in length. It made a few nice little runs. It even took enough line to get me on the reel. The drag on my Piscifun reel worked great.

I am working on fine tuning some cane pole fishing so I can teach my three nieces and nephew this summer. I found using a combination fly and bit of back fat works great. It has all the things you need. Size 10-2x shank hooks, color chartruese (I am going to try others), texture and smell from the fat. You have to let them take the bobber under and give it about a 3 count, then gently pull the rod tip to the opposing side. You miss some since they are small but I think the kids are going to have a great time. The fat goes on the hook easily and frequently stays on the hook after most catches. I am going to try again tomorrow and dunk the bait in some gulp for added smell. Caught 5 in about an hour tonight. I was trying different spots.
