Do you have a duo or set of characters that aren't quite siblings, but have a sibling-like dynamic? Whether or not they are actually related in any way, they are canonically just friends, or it's a silly goofy headcanon you just have? So they aren't quite siblings but they are practically are and are close enough to where they are such to you at least? Well then this is the tournament for you!

Some ground rules before nominations!

As much as I love canonical adopted or step-siblings, they do not count for this tourney! Those would fit in the catagory of YES THESE ARE DEFINATELY SIBLINGS. This is for sets that might not be canonically siblings but they have a sibling dynamic and that means the world to you and they are siblings to you!!!

Only nominate a contestant once per person! By that I mean each of you can only nominate one specific person one time, you can nominate multiple contestants in different submissions, No cheating!

That being said odds are I’ll only include up to 64 characters

Those being said I am going to limit it to 2-3 sets from one source

Any harassment or vitriol will be met with a a soft block for 24 hours before a permanent one if it continues and repeated vitriol towards an opponent will be liable to disqualification or being forced onto a team with their opponent.

Also being said. If anyone comes onto this blog and talks about shipping any of these sets, that means in the rbs or in asks and stuff, they will be blocked from this blog.

No marvel or dc bc they are as a whole too popular for this, as much as they are canonical jews and love that for them. odds are TOO HIGH of them sweeping and i want them not in there

They have to either be a character niche in their own property, make you go "oh THEYRE Jewish????" as in if you only saw small early on snippets you wouldnt know aka its not something talked abt a lot and you find out and it makes you go "OH????", OR they have to be from a niche property themselves

Only submit a character once! Please no cheating, I am going to do my best to include as many as I can

welcome to season two of qpr competition!

have you been here before? have you only found this now? regardless, the queerplatonic relationship submissions for season 2 are officially open! i dont have a date on when i will close them yet, but i will add one at some point.

rules:

no real people! also no real world countries, yes theyre "technically not real people" no they arent allowed in

no media that causes real world harm. this rule was added because of Stranger Things, but applies to others as well

the characters' relationship doesnt have to be canonically queerplatonic, but interpretation of their relationship as romantic has to go against canon or has to make canon make less sense. this is a very loosely defined rule, and part of the reason why the "tell me about them" field is required. here is a bit more of me talking about it; if youre not sure that it counts, submit it and explain.

id appreciate it if you consulted the list of season one contestants and their qualification status (based on how far they made it last time + rule 3) before submitting. note that the contestants i marked as qualified are not guaranteed entry

the character has to be a man. if the character has something weird going on with their gender (for example, its not clear if theyre a crossdresser or transfem), they might be allowed, but please tell me about what their deal is - thats one of the things that the last option in the form is for. edit: this applies to characters with which its not clear if theyre a crossdresser or transmasc!

the character doesnt have to be from a visual media, but they have to have a canon design. it can be a description, it can be official art, but it has to exist
