I think if we were to get any form of remakes soon they'd probably be Johto instead of Unova, taking into account this is generation 9 we are currently in as well as what happened in Generation 7, Gen 5 is the main outlier in the usual formula, because for Gen 2 they didn't expect Pokemon to get so big so they weren't expecting to make more after Johto, so it makes sense that remakes started in Gen 3, with Gen 4 having Gen 2 remakes in HeartGold and SoulSilver, with Gen 5 being the only generation thus far to not include a remake of a previous game, because Gen 6 have Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Gen 7 have Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee(Which can be counted as Remakes of Pokemon Yellow Version), and Gen 8 have Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, looking historically, it would make more sense for Johto remakes for a new generation of kids instead if Gen 5 remakes right away, because that would allow Johto to get some spotlight once more as well as expand on the Team Rocket Storyline in the Mega Timeline, because that then can introduce the idea of in Gen 10 we have something similar to what happened with BDSP and PLA, Where we could get remakes by ILCA AND A legends game by Game Freak for Unova instead of fighting over which one we should get in this essay I will-
