Hello, I'm Dawn/Akari from both Diamond/Pearl and Legends Arceus!
I'm looking for anyone I knew from either game, and also Emmet + Elesa since I knew them from Ingo! I had some sort of ambiguous found family dynamic with Ingo (and, again, later Emmet+Elesa), but other than that all relationships match canon.
I'm 18, but willing to talk to anyone! Preferred method of contact is through my blog @hisuian-dawn, but I'll check the post for likes a few days after posting :)

Hello!
My name is Dawn (and also Akari, but I'll ask that you call me Dawn), and this is my kin blog!
I'm from both Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, and Pokemon Legends Arceus. Champion Dawn in one, Hero of Hisui in the other.
My pronouns are he/him (though my pronouns in-canon were she/her), and I'm 18, though I don't mind interacting with minors. It'll be kept entirely SFW either way!
Currently searching for anyone from either game who knew me! And also Emmet and Elesa, since I knew them through Ingo :) Also open to talking to anyone from Pokemon in general, whether you're a human or a Pokemon, so feel free to reach out!
Thanks for reading!

The origin of the Japanese names Diamond Clan and Pearl Clan and the origin of the Japanese names adaman and irida
I think everyone probably already knows 😂
bulbapedia tells the origins of these two names. But I will explain in separate words. which is very interesting Because the original is in Japanese and has been translated into various languages. Translation of Pokemon names Translation of trainer names Translating place names into different languages I think we should know the origin of the word's origin. It will make the doubt disappear.
Why do Pokemon translators name Pokemon this way?
Why do Pokemon translators name trainers like this?
Why do Pokemon translators name places like this?
It is also considered to be learning vocabulary. (For me too because it's my favorite character in this game)
I'm not good at explaining but I'll try to explain it to you. I know only a little Japanese. and my English is very bad 🥲
I'll start the diamond clan first and the pearl clan last.
Tumblr media
Image sources : 1 / 2 / 3
DIAMOND CLAN
The clan's name and character's name come from the kanji 金剛石 (Kongōseki)
The English name is Diamond Clan.
The Japanese name is コンゴウ団 (Kongō-dan).
コンゴウ (Kongō) is the katakana, which is derived from the kanji 金剛 (Kongō).
**The writing method is different, but the reading and meaning are the same. It means diamond**
団 (dan) means group,clan.
Separate Kanji 金剛石 (Kongōseki)
金剛 (Kongō) means diamond
石 (seki) means stone
When changed to katakana, it becomes セキ(seki), the Japanese name for adaman.
After combining the names
Written in Kanji 金剛石 (Kongōseki)
Written in katakana コンゴウセキ (Kongōseki)
**The writing method is different, but the reading and meaning are the same, meaning diamond stone**
The Diamond Clan's symbol is designed to resemble the kanji 金 (kin), meaning gold, that is irregularly shaped within a pentagon. This is reminiscent of the diamond on Dialga's chest.
Tumblr media
Image sources : 1 / 2 / 3
PEARL CLAN
The clan's name and character's name come from the kanji 真珠貝 (Shinjukai)
The English name is Pearl clan
The Japanese name is シンジュ団 (Shinju-dan)
シンジュ (Shinju) is the katakana, which is derived from the kanji 真珠 (Shinju).
**The writing method is different, but the reading and meaning are the same, meaning pearl**
団 (dan) means group,clan.
Separate Kanji 真珠貝 (Shinjukai)
真珠 (Shinju) means pearl.
貝 (Kai) means shell
When changed to katakana, it becomes カイ(Kai), the Japanese name for irida.
When the names are combined
Written in Kanji 真珠貝 (Shinjukai)
Written in katakana シンジュカイ (Shinjukai)
**The writing method is different, but the reading and meaning are the same. It means pearl oyster*
The Pealr Clan's symbol is designed to resemble the kanji 真 (shin), meaning true, which is a distorted design of the kanji. Inside the circle is similar to the pearl on the Palkia's shoulder.
My personal opinion
The group names Diamond Clan and Pearl Clan and the character names Adaman and Irida are based on Dialga and Palkia, representing time and space. These two were like the human forms of these two Pokemon Diamonds and pearls were used to create these two characters, whose personalities and preferences were very different from each other. and every time we meet, we always have to fight like Dialga and Palkia are the perfect combination.
I like these two using Leafeon and Glaceon. These two use Pokemon that the other one is losing to. (Besides, these two people don't get along. The Pokémon on the team are no longer the same😂)
It's very much a showcase for the shinoh region, as these two Pokemon debuted in their 4th generation.
These two Pokemon are similar to these two.
Adaman-Leafeon
adaman's eye color is like leafeon's brown eye color
The adaman's brow scars are like ears and the green tail resembles leafeon's tattered leaves.
adaman doesn't like cold places like leafeon.
Irida-Glaceon
Irida's eye color is the same as Glaceon's blue eye color.
irida doesn't like hot places like glaceon.
I like the design of these two characters. It's take-san's design. I really like his character design!
I admit that the game freak team collects very good information. There are a lot of interesting things in PLA games. Regardless of naming the character Naming the region If there's a chance, I'll collect information about this later (maybe).
If I provide incomplete information or provide incorrect information You can tell me! Or you can exchange ideas with me.

shea’s homestead lies in the flower paradise, an island claimed by the sinnoh region. it’s a vast & semi-isolated roughly five to six square miles in radius. the flower paradise was completely cut off from sinnoh until late in it’s industrial age. a pathway bridge created by conservationists as a better way to reach the island to help care for the fauna & pokemon that live there. during the hisui era, however, it was completely unknown to various villagers of the diamond & pearl clans, as well as the future settlers of the hisui region.
shaymin call this place home, this is where they were borne from & thrive from their creation. governing over the gracideas as well as the seasons. shea would eventually settle here a mere few years after the events that transpire with the tear in the sky & the battle with volo at mt coronet. her memory restored by arceus themselves & the realization that she will be static as the world around her changes with the future it marches toward as those who inhabit the region grow; she takes to the flower paradise to be with her kin.
nestled deep within a wooded area, surrounded by willow-like trees & grand floral gardens is small little shack, akin to a cabin, built out of a large tree whose trunk bursts from the ground into the high cliffside beside it. a nestled little nook. moss & ivy drape about the sides of the cliff, crawling up the tree. around the perimeter there is small gardens, tables. a collection of chopped wood & axe stuck within a tree stump. clothes on a clothes line tended to by little fairy pokemon picking at the threads. pots, jars pushed up against the home inside containing various brines that pickle vegetables or eggs. on shelves above such are smaller containers for dried herbs or tea leaves. surplus from what was grown that season & can’t fit inside. there are marks from pokemon that are not native to the island originally, but call the island home just as their trainer does. those who fought alongside shea as friends; the pokemon she caught on her journeys through hisui. the island is free to them but the shack, the cottage, the cabin; it is their home as much as it is shea’s. humble, cozy, warm. home.
the inside is much the same. naturally lit by sunlight during the day, peeking through windows open to let the fresh air in & the stale air from the night out. delicious smells wafting from within areas of the kitchen. a mix of teas, stews. incense on a table top in the center. a little nook area near a fireplace of which bookshelves loiter not too far off. old novels, worn books. so much so they look as if they may fall apart if one breathed upon them. one bookshelf stands out, up against a wall next to a desk. the shelves are filled with bound ledgers. the volumes of a pokedex long out of date. written by ink & brushstroke. the desk is littered with papers, letters never sent. newspaper clippings, torn book pages all mentioning the galaxy corps. old friends now live within written text & memory. a single hallway further into the home towards the cliff carved out by both hand & tree, houses a bathroom. a tub made from stone & a small stream of water. a personal waterfall. go further down the hall & one reaches a small room with a large bed. a room for sleeping naught else. built into the wall, rounded & filled with plush bedding pillows & fluffy blankets. ivy lines the ceiling, long ago had it burst through the cracks in the walls. on it’s small branches flowers bloom when shea enters, they bud when shea leaves. at night slumbering amongst shaymin that refuse to leave their side. young little ones not ready to be on their own sneak into the bed or where ever is soft in the den, elder little beasties find respite throughout the cabin. never alone, never alone.
this is how her days are spent. on paradise eternal. visited by the creation deities who call shea kin. visited by mythical, by legendary. by hurt pokemon, old pokemon. any who need a place filled with love & warmth in their trying days. human eyes have never once found the cottage cabin home. it is protected by god themselves. just is as shea; their boon.

Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Review
Tumblr media
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remain a great topic of discussion and division as well as tension among fans to this day. The games were both announced and released back in late 2021.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Two pre-release screenshots showing off the graphics for the game.
I will always remember being taken back at first by the graphic style of choice when the games were first announced in the Pokemon Presents trailer back in February 2021. The graphics stay quite true to the original games with the topdown 2D sprite perspective in the overworld but with full fledged 3D models ala Pokemon Sword and Shield on the battling screens. It is something that I can agree with many that I am not fond of. I feel like the game itself would of done a lot better if the entire graphical presentation was in the format, of you know, the primary Generation 8 games! It also would of done quite a bit nicer if some of the areas such as the Battle Zone and Stark Mountian retained their designs from Platinum too. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are a primary example of where staying too faithful to the original games is not always a good thing. The biggest takeaway I find is that not all, at the time of their release, 898 species in some way, shape, or form were included. At the same time, I kinda get wanting to stay faithful in that respect but it would of been very nice to at least have the other 405 to be included in the post-game if not all of them were there like Sword and Shield, where they only included 664 of the 898 at the time. I feel like the game would of done a lot better if it actually included many of the things that made Pokemon Platinum stand out and that enhanced Diamond and Pearl to the fullest. I always hate it when the developers of a Remake don't appreciate the value of the other special editions that made the original better over the years. A primary example of this is also Pokemon's other work of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, where it didn't include the fabled Battle Frontier of Emerald, the other third version successor before Platinum. Of course, wouldn't you know it, they didn't learn their lesson the first time and failed to include the Battle Frontier from Platinum into this game as well.
Tumblr media
Key artwork from Pokemon Platinum featuring the Distortion World.
The fact that they threw the Legendary Pokemon Giratina into a small room within a optional post-game area and called it a day is extremely upsetting, disappointing, & almost flat out unacceptable. I feel like including the many of the elements from Pokemon Platinum that made Sinnoh stand out more where the main antagonist Cyrus got a way stronger character arc and where Giratina was included at the Spear Pillar and even got it's own unique and special dungeon of the Distortion World from Platinum alongside it's other two kin Dialga and Palkia would of been amazing and would of made the two games leagues better than what they were! The other thing I have to also nitpick and take apart is the fact that they didn't bother for including some conviences such as the EXP. Candies that were introduced to 2019's Sword and Shield games. I think it would of made getting a 100% encyclopedia less of a chore. That's another thing I want to nitpick too! It would of been very nice if they included the expanded Pokemon Platinum Sinnoh Dex within the main adventure. While it is great that they bothered to include more Fire types before battling Champion Cynthia (which was one of the issues that Diamond and Pearl had), it would of been nice to have seen them have a place in the main story again as an official written Pokedex entry. While I feel there are several things wrong with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, I believe that there are some merits that need to be taken into account for this review. The fact that they didn't entirely go out to remove some of the beloved elements such as coveted Vs. Seeker and Poke Radar are a welcome and this in case, needed, addition that has been missed out on for many years! I also really like how the Gym Leaders and Elite Four can all be rematched at higher levels and that some of them even have their teams from Platinum after you defeat the Pokemon League for the first time. It's a really nice touch that I don't see a lot of people talking about when they review the game. The little things such as Autosave, showing Type effectiveness in battle, and adding the Rotom Catlog item for Rotom. Also being able to pull out Bibarel on the flick of a dime for the formerly annoying HM moves to do your dirty work and navigate the vast world of Sinnoh via the Hidden Moves app is amusing and very convenient! Catching Diamond and Pearl up to speed with these Remakes and modernizing some of the things to be in line with the rest of the series is a good thing they did. I just wish that it was executed more cohesively than it was and not the scrambled up mess that we got for the final product!
All in all, I feel Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are an example of corporate greed at it's finest and using the nostalgia of an older work to as well enticing marketing to make a quick buck. I feel like these games could of done so much better on many different levels. I give them an "OK" score on my Rating System.
My Final Score: ★★★★ - "OK" 4/10

“My dear lost one, how good to see you again.”
You’re coming out of Cyllene’s office in the Galaxy Hall, getting ready to leave on another survey mission, when Cogita’s voice surprises you, making you turn. You haven’t seen her since you fled to her Ancient Retreat—seeking help for your injured pokemon and your injured heart—many months ago. She does visit Jubilife somewhat often, though you think she probably spends more time with the Diamond and Pearl Clans than she does with the Galaxy Team, if only because they’re closer to her home; but you’ve been gone most of the past few months and haven’t run into her.
The hem of her long, black dress skims the floor as she approaches you, smiling enigmatically. “Have you been well?”
You wave to her, and you remember (with a touch of embarrassment) that the last time she saw you, you were sobbing. “Hello, Cogita,” you smile back. “I’m alright, all things considered. How’re you?”
“I am so glad to hear that,” she says, and you can see in her eyes that she means it. She always seemed to worry over you, while you were trying to close the rift, and later as you collected the plates. “Do you have time to take a walk, before you leave on your mission? I’ve something I’d like to share with you.”
You nod, and Cogita leads you out of the Galaxy Hall, her gloved hands swishing at her sides as she slowly walks with you down Floaro Street. “That young woman, Tsumugi, told me of the Togekiss you helped recently,” she says pointedly.
Your stomach drops. Though, you suppose, if anyone would be able to figure it out, it would be her. You shouldn’t have expected anything less.
“Yeah,” you say; and then, quietly, looking around to make sure no one is paying attention, “her trainer was hurt.”
Cogita lowers her own voice to match. “And is her trainer alright, now?”
You’re surprised at the concern in her tone. In all the times you had seen her and Volo in the same room, they had only ever seemed like passive aggressive enemies; or at least, she was toward him. He had seemed rather content to ignore everything but the myths she had to share.
She must sense your surprise, because she sighs. “I do not pretend to like him. However, I do care what happens to him,” she says. “I am not heartless toward my own kin, however distant.”
That gives you pause. “Kin?”
Cogita smiles sadly, looking up toward the clear blue sky. “You know that he is a descendant of the Celestica people, yes?”
You nod. He mentioned it, atop Mt. Coronet; and then again when he told you he wanted to stay in Hisui.
“I am, as well. It is a long story, and not one for today, I think. But we are both of the ancient people of this land.”
You think of the necklace he wore, at the Temple of Sinnoh, and you realize, belatedly, that it matches the charm on Cogita’s dress.
“Oh,” you say, a bit lost for words. And then, “he’s okay.”
Cogita nods, then pauses to wave at one of the old ladies in the hair parlor. When she looks back at you, her gray gaze is piercing. “Why do you still visit him?”
Suddenly, the ground is very interesting. You kick a rock.
“I apologize,” she says. “I know it is not my place to ask. I simply wish to make sure you are alright. You were in such pain after he...” she trails off and is silent for a moment. “There has always been a dangerous ambition in him.”
You suppose their relationship makes a bit more sense now, if she had suspected him of ulterior motives from the beginning. Still, you had always bristled at the way she dismissed him.
You have to will your voice to remain steady, the emotion of his betrayal still not entirely dampened by the time you’ve spent with him, the apologizing he’s done. “Did you know?” You ask. “What he was planning, I mean.”
“Good heavens, no,” Cogita replies with a wave of her gloved hand. “But ever since I met him, legends have been the only thing he cared about. Would that he cared equally about his duties...”
You give a short, bitter laugh. “His duties as a merchant, you mean.”
“Of course,” Cogita says. “Ginter of the Ginkgo Guild gave much to make sure that boy had a place, you know.”
That kindness doesn’t negate the fact that he wanted something else for himself, you think. Out loud you say, “he never had a choice about what to be, though.”
Cogita blinks, caught off guard by your sudden defensiveness. “It is rare that any of us does.”
“But we should.”
She stops walking, though she doesn’t look angry; only sad, the wrinkles beneath her eyes more pronounced than ever. “We all have a role to fulfill in this life. Fighting it, self pitying... those things will never help us. They will only hurt the ones who depend on us.”
You stop, too. Oh. She’s speaking from experience. You remember her saying how her duty was to pass along the knowledge of the myths and legends entrusted to her, when the time was right. And you remember her speaking of being left behind.
No wonder she disliked Volo so much. He spent so much of his time shirking what she perceived as his duty in favor of chasing his passions. Does Cogita have a passion she was never able to follow, in the pursuit of her sacred duty? Would she change the trajectory of her life, if she could?
You sigh, letting the moment go, and you both continue walking. “I’m not defending what he did, Cogita. But I also don’t blame him for chasing what he cared about.”
Neither of you speak for several moments, and it’s quiet but for the sounds of the village, and the crunch of the path underfoot.
“And, for the record,” you continue, “I’m still visiting him because... he regrets a lot of things. And I don’t want him to have to be alone.”
You both walk in silence for a while, ambling slowly toward the Village Gate.
“I have lived a long life,” she finally says. “Longer than you know. But after you came into this world... after you allowed me to put my duties to rest, at long last... I have choices ahead of me, for the first time in a very, very long time.” She smiles gently. “It seems that I still have much to learn, about life, about other humans, and about pokemon. And I will thank you, for reminding me of that fact. I simply also ask that you be careful with your heart. You are so very young, and so very bright. You are kind, and I do not wish to see you hurt because of it.”
You can’t help the blush that rises in your cheeks when she speaks of your heart. Does she know? Does she know the things that you can’t admit to yourself, late at night?
“Thank you, Cogita,” you manage. “I’ll, um. I’ll do my best.”
Satisfied, she nods. And then she claps her hands in front of her chest. “Oh!” She says. “I nearly forgot what I wanted to tell you about in the first place!”
Her tonal shift catches you entirely off guard, and you give her a quizzical look.
“Have you heard of the Forces of Nature?”
---
“Volo?” You ask carefully, sitting by the stove as he peels the sootfoot root, slices it, and drops it into the pot.
He hums in response.
You’ve been trying to find a good way to bring it up, but you just can’t. He deserves to know, though, so you’re just going to have to come out with it.
“I... spoke with Cogita, the other day. She knows I’m visiting you.”
His hands still, and you watch as several emotions war in his eyes. “I...” he starts, then sighs heavily. “What did she say? Has she told anyone else?”
You both know that secrecy is still of the utmost importance. Although it’s been months, by now, no one in the village—or the clans—would be happy if they found out that you were still buddy-buddy with the one who created the rifts, and caused so much trouble for the people of Hisui. You don’t really know what would happen if everyone found out. But it probably wouldn’t be good.
“She hasn’t told anyone,” you assure him. “She asked if you were okay.”
That gives him pause, confusion coloring his features. “...She did?”
You nod, looking down into your teacup, watching the steam rise into the air. “She figured out that you were hurt, and that I came to help you.”
He resumes his peeling, attempting to seem uncaring. “I’m surprised she’d care either way.”
There’s a bitterness in his voice, and you have to tread carefully. “She doesn’t hate you, you know.”
“She certainly never liked me.”
That, you won’t try to argue. But... you do think he deserves to know what you’ve realized about her. “She’s been carrying the burden of her duties for a long time. I think it made her upset to see someone chasing their passion instead. I’m not saying she shouldn’t have been nicer to you... but you also did try to use her knowledge to... um. Destroy the world.”
Volo looks at the ground, sufficiently abashed, and immediately, tears spring to his eyes. You think you might have gone a little bit too far... but if you can’t speak candidly about your past, you’ll never be able to be on equal ground again.
Unfortunately, you don’t know where to go from here.
You open your mouth to say something, anything, to comfort him and remind him that you forgive him for that, but his lower lip wobbles, and he very quietly says, “I didn’t want to destroy the world.”
Your mouth closes. And opens again. And closes again. And you blurt out, “then why did you say that?”
Atop Mt. Coronet, he had told you he would destroy Hisui, and everything you hold dear. If he hadn’t wanted that, hadn’t truly wanted to remake everything, then...?
His voice is so small as he stares at the peeling knife in his hands. “I didn’t... I don’t know,” he says, and tears gather and fall from his eyes. “I was just... so angry. I wanted—I needed you to fight me. That was the only path I saw forward. So I just started saying anything to hurt you. I was so jealous—” He shakes his head, and more tears fall to the floor. “I’m sorry, I don’t know why—”
You can’t help it, you set down your tea and move to his side, tears gathering in your own eyes. The knife clatters to the floor as you wrap your arms around him, and in his distress, he doesn’t hesitate to return your embrace. He rests his head against your shoulder, and you can feel the shaking of his shoulders as he cries.
“I’m sorry,” he says, muffled against your clothes. “I don’t want to hurt you, I’m sorry—”
“I know,” you tell him. “I believe you.” And you do. You do believe him. Even if he had wanted to hurt you then, you know that he doesn’t anymore. He had been so angry, when you fought. So desperate. So enveloped in that horrible fervor to meet Arceus. But if he regrets his actions now... if he will do his best to never get caught up in that fanatic’s fantasy ever again... then you’ll be here to help him. To stroke your fingers through his hair as he cries, to rub soothing circles on his back, to remind him you forgive him.
To remind him that you care about him.
It isn’t long before Arcanine comes inside to investigate the commotion, and, seeing the two of you entangled together, she comes to join you, nosing her wet snout in between your chest and his. You laugh, and Volo lets out a pitiful sniffling chuckle of his own before reaching out to pet her head.
“C’mere, Arcanine,” you say. “You can have a hug too.”
Tail thumping, Arcanine joins the group hug. The pot on the stove simmers, and the sun begins to set.
After a long while, Volo clears his throat, leaning back from your hug. His eyes and cheeks are tinged red, and he won’t meet your eyes, though his hair is mostly covering them anyway.
“Um,” he says eloquently. “Thank you. Again.”
You roll your eyes fondly, reaching out to brush a stray tear from his cheek. “‘S nothing to thank me for.”
He shakes his head with a small smile. “It’s everything to thank you for.”
And as he returns to the simmering pot, reaching for the carved ladle and bowls, you’re glad his back is to you—because the burning of your cheeks is far too obvious for your liking.

The tale of Gawain, the exiled King;
Life had been simple for Gawain. It had been routine, normal. It had been what his father, and his fathers father, and all of the kin before him to his ancestors had striven for when they made their pack. When things in the world they knew it, was simple.
Gawain had been an Alpha Pokemon as they called it. A taller and bigger specimen of his species. The how and the why this happened, even in birth was never sure or understood. But Gawain and his pack had known a simple fact. What was, simply was. There was no questioning it, so they never had.
Gawain had been just another part, another egg hatched by doting parents. One normal Eeveelution, and one very big Eeveelution. He had been raised with the pack, lived with the pack, and done as all should when being raised by some 40 odd Pokemon of various species. Played, spent time with, and even engaged in a cuddle pile or two. With him always getting swamped because he was a bigger kit.
Life had been grand. Until, well. It wasn’t. And it had been no fault of his own. He was bored. Like any youth, he was bored and he wanted to find his own way. Like any rambunctious kit growing into adulthood, he had wanted to be something more, something he could call his own, not just of the pack.
So, he had gone away, gone into the fields to explore and see. To find what he desired; An adventure of a lifetime.
And oh, did Gawain find such adventure. He had been caught. Blindsided by his own curiosity and a need for food. He had been caught by a human wearing strange clothing. Clothing that he had not seen before of the Diamond nor Pearl tribes.
What he had found himself involved with, was Team Galaxy. A group of adventurers, pioneers and daring due’s that challenged things bravely on! At least, that was the sense he had gotten in the months of stay with his Human.
His Human. A but a boy of brown hair, joyful eyes and a daring sense of adventure. Gawain had only been but one capture of many. He had been what the odd man with the white coat had described as a; “Very interesting specimen” or whatever that meant.
He just knew he had been exceptional. As he should be, as the future king of the forests of that region, he should be counted as exceptional!
Initially he was not supposed to have stayed, the human meant to let him go. But, this was so new! And this future King would not let himself be denied these new things! Absolutely not! So, Gawain had persisted, and he had stayed with this human that had captured him. It was his fault after all he was in this predicament, he should take care of it!
At least that had been the thought process back then. But then, things had changed. Gawain had gotten.. Attached. Attached to this human and his strange ways. To his Human. That was simply what he called him. His Human. Oh he heard them call the human by his name. But that would not do. Not now.
His human was his Human. And that was that. So on adventures he joined him. He helped where he could, and cleared what ways that needed clearing. Gawain even fancied himself as a prime role model for some of the Pokemon! Well, those that weren’t at least Alpha’s too.
Their Human though had treated them all well though, and with respect. He thought though that some of them had simply allowed themselves to be captured, because well. Their human was an odd sort.
He was brave, tenacious, and had guile. Though, at the time, he was no older then Gawain himself in many respects. That was until he had evolved into the Leafeon he was now!
That had been tricky, and had consisted of him grabbing his Human’s attention by well. Chewing on his hat! And biting at his leg! It had gotten his Human cursing and chasing! Good! He should follow his natural leader!
The chase had consisted of him going to the moss rock that every clan and pack knew of. It was one of the few places where Pokemon considered neutral ground for the sake of being able to evolve if necessary. There he had dragged his human by being a mean rascal. Well, mean for a good cause! And evolved in front of his Human.
He had wanted him there! It was important! It had been a decision that Gawain had long since decided he would do. He wanted to be a Leafeon, simple as that. Oh the scolding he had gotten. And the awe. It had been well worth it.
After that, Gawain had done his best to appear more regal, and more majestic. Helping his fellows where he could, like a good King should. Until. Well. Things came to an end. Like they all should.
His Human had completed all of his tasks. Done all that he had been asked for, even as daunting it had been for him.
And over time, Gawain had grown more and more in respect for his human. Grown closer as a good companion should.. Should he not? Though, there is one thing that had happened, that none had expected.
The moment it had happened, the words that his Human had once said came to mind; “You can’t put the genie into the bottle once its loose.”
It was an odd phrase. But then again, his Human was filled with odd phrases and odd things to say. He had gotten the idea that his human wasn’t exactly a local to their plane, as he had fallen from the sky. At least from what he’d heard.
He was drifting again in thought, wasn’t he? Well. He couldn’t be blamed. Because he had been on his own again. Now with his Humans tasks complete, there was a question what he would do now. And Gawain had those same questions. Maybe go back to the pack? He did not yet know.
Then, he had simply been gone from the plains again. Snatched up in something he had no explanation too. And found himself hurtling towards an unfamiliar forest.
He had barely time to scream as his wandering mind finally caught up.
Then he went to the world of black as he lost consciousness.
And it wasn’t until much later that he found out. He wasn’t in Hisui anymore. He was in a world where shining structures loomed, where strange metal birds that were not Pokemon flew over, and where humans, again in strange clothes appeared in. Confounded, the King had run to safety. Intent on finding his human and have him explain himself. But where the village had been, a bustling city now stood. That had been confusing and frightening, so he had gone to where the moss rock was. It was neutral ground, and he knew that if anything, he could find his pack again!
But. There was no moss rock. Instead there was this, rocky, solid road. It looked ugly. Black and with metal carriages that came and went. It was all so.. Confusing. There was no forest, at least not the forest he knew. No rock, no grounds he knew, nothing to find. Instead, he hurtled himself towards where he knew he’d find peace. The forest. Deep into the forest. To where his pack was. The land may have changed, but it still held its roots. He knew he was home because of how the land was still shaped. There were things you simply knew by instinct. And he knew he was still where he called home, yet..
Yet it wasn’t home. Was it? He knew this. And as he slowly went to where he knew he should find burrows and a hill full of Pokemon, playing and watching others go on their daily lives.. He found naught but shacks that the humans called home.
His home was long gone. And he did not know why. He knew only, that some genie had gotten loose out of its bottle. And he had no way to put it back, inside.
