***LIFE-UPDATE TIME*** I spent the last few months getting myself together. Besides growing in my career and becoming a Marketplace Manager, everything else just fell apart. Life happened. Lost my precious Avozinha on Christmas Eve. Close family was doing poorly health wise. Ended up going to Goa for a week which was just a blur as the time just flew by so quickly and this is the first time I don’t have any food pictures to share from Goa during my trip except for a day when I fried some nice mackerel recheado and a random picture I shared with my sister on Snapchat to tell her what I was having for lunch that day. The last blog post I’d shared on the blog was that of Tuna Vindaye back in August 2021 and then after that 5 months just went by and I really don’t want that time again in my life. Life is just so unpredictable. Sometimes you have to give up the things you love dearly to spend more time with family because they mean the world to you. You have to work hard at a job which isn’t your ideal career only to be financially independent and support those you love so that their burden is lessened. While the past 5 months changed my life forever, I’m glad I’m more stronger than ever. Earlier last year I was diagnosed with type-2 Diabetes and now I stand at a place where I’m very close to beating diabetes forever. So that’s been a positive silver lining amidst the storm. Sometimes you have to put family first and I’m so grateful I’m blessed with the best and I’d do anything to make sure they’re okay. What was the incident or time that changed your life forever? ⚠️Deliciousness Warning @dumplingshack 😍😍😍 Yesterday, there was no way I was going to stay indoors with the weather outside being so bright and sunny!! Summer vibes are so real atm, here in London. I hope it stays that way. We enjoyed a few hours at the @oldspitalfieldsmarket and found ourselves enjoying these lovely juicy dumplings. Our choice: 6 Pan Fried Pork Soup Dumplings and 4 Prawn Wantons in Sichuan Chilli Oil. The Pork dumplings were so so flavourful and juicy with a burst of meaty soup. The prawn wantons were just perfect with a rich prawn bite and flavour. The Sichuan chilli oil was heavenly! Someone who has tried Sichuan chilli oil please leave a comment below to confirm how good that is. There’s many other options to choose from on the menu but we just wanted a small little snack and this was just the perfect mouthful. Eating Tip: The soup inside the pork dumplings can be very hot. Don’t burn your mouth like I did.
