so pit babe has ended and i need to write a liebesbrief to the show. the unhinged vroom vroom omegaverse show did something nobody thought it was going to. it made us care. it made us care for every character, impatiently waiting for another episode. despite its absolutely ridiculous premise, it was a show that tried to convey so much - and it did, successfully.

im not the only one who shook his head when the racing show based on an omegaverse was announced (allegedly without the omegaverse trope). i was in if only for pavel bc let's be honest, if there is somebody unhinged enough to pull omegaverse perfectly, it's pavel. then the trailer dropped (still not omegaverse) and it looked actually promising. there were some well-known faces and the special effects looked good. and then, after so much waiting, we got our hands on the first episode. and look and behold, it was an omegaverse after all. alpha x alpha omegaverse nonetheless. after that, it just got better and better. with every new episode, we got more and more invested in these characters - for all of them because they all deserved our attention and love.

they made us care for the protagonists and hate the villains. the ridiculous vroom vroom show that we started to watch just for the fun and giggles became a show about being loved and to love in return, about finding your family and friends in a place you least expected it, about breaking the barrier and fighting against a fate that was decided for you. (they also give us a potential mpreg because there is no proof that babe is not pregnant)

yes, the show wasn't perfect. it had its flaws and its plotholes and loose threads that could be tied better (the most important being, where is kenta?) but overall, it gave us way more than we came for.

Pit Babe ep 13 initial reaction

Okay let’s do the final photo review. Okay ep 11 10 12 weren’t for me but I think 13 was good. My initial rating has to be an 8/10. A very surprising 8/10.

I was EXTREMELY upset that the racing bl that I had been looking forward to was ABO I like race car driving in general so I really was said abo was gonna happen. However this show didn’t take ABO in the creepy ways I hate mainly the sexism and homosexuality of it all. Honestly it’s straight girl’s fantasy most of the time. As a lesbian I am turned off by the sexism and breeding 🤮. But Pitbabe was interesting and bearable idk if there are subsequent seasons will lean into those tropes but I hope not. I love the actor for Babe he’s extremely talented ep13 only cemented this for me. I really enjoyed JeffAlan, PeteKenta, and NorthSonic I thought they had a good amount of side character relationships. JeffAlan felt very natural and sweet. I loved the characters of Kim and Kenta just interesting. What I didn’t like was how clownery the plot was. It was a little cheesy hokey. I think the writing didn’t do any favors for Charlie either. Charlie is very V A N I L L A I don’t think it’s the actors fault. I’ve decided it’s writing. Although I think the motivation of Tony was cartoon villain the actor really brought the evil to life I enjoyed his portrayal of a cult leader really. Anyways let’s get on to the photo review

Babe in this scene is just chef kiss if people question can bl peeps act show them this. He’s hysterical to see Charlie again. I was worried Babe would just accept Charlie back or be Angry but this is better. You can see he’s hurt but so happy Charlie is alive and with him that Babe is healed in a way. Charlie was being weird but I think it’s the writing. So beautiful in his emotions omg.

Wow… the three of them beating up winner and NorthSonic uploading the video. So cool. Really these scenes had me sitting on the edge of my seat rooting for them. ALSO WE ALL KNOW I LOVE KIM. I’m on board with Kim being a third for NorthSonic. Kim is also very fashionable. He fits in perfectly.

I’m glad someone died. I do find it poetic and fitting that Way died saving Babe very full circle. I didn’t hate Way as much as everyone else. He was wrong for what he did but… I feel like he had the bones and the actor to make a compelling rejected love interest. I do think babe always cared about way in a true friendship which was beautiful.

Pete and Kenta bad ass bitches getting shit done. I think Kenta might legit be Tony’s child. Like biologically. That would be a good twist. I was said we didn’t get any PeteKenta reunion in the end.

Alan and Jeff are so…

Idk they have very high chemistry. Jeff really feels like a person who hasn’t been exposed to the real world really and he’s truly trying to comfort Alan. To be fair Alan has been through a shit ton but he does feel that pain and seeks comfort in Jeff. It’s very sweet even though we get the sexy scenes for them.

Quick note is way buried at the race track or something?! Why is his grave on his own?! Way’s ghost is going to be lonely…. It’s pretty but still.

The my kid is sick and so I need to sell him trope is sadly something I’ve seen before BUT!!!! I enjoyed the Dad’s acting he seemed really torn about it and he never ever gave up.

North Sonic’s contrast pants and hyping up Kim was perfect. Kim being happy to watch Babe and Charlie is very endearing. I hope Kim and Babe can be besties who push each other. I know Kim isn’t a special alpha but I like the dynamic of him being the best human? Idk. He’s 10/10 I love him.

Idk why Babe is so shy about Charlie lol it was very cute.

How beautiful. I really loved this show and I enjoyed the ending. I wish Pete and Kenta had been there but I found this very beautiful and meaninful. Babe and Charlie crashing Alan’s intricate date so they can be found family couples together gahhh I really loved the family aspect to the series it wasn’t super loud or overdone but you knew Babe Alan North Sonic were truly family who added in Charlie Kim Jeff.

Anyways I had fun idk what I’m watching next. I need to catch up on 23,5 or I’ll lose my lesbian card hahahaha but I am quite busy. If anyone has a suggestion for what I should start on next plzzz tell me. Other people motivate me more than myself hahaha.

Two things about Pit Babe came to my mind after the last episodes:

One, this show could have been thousand times more enjoyable if we didn't have novel readers on our neck breathing every plot point and twist ever. Like, so many things could have been really shocking and the drama built tension around them for it to lost all meaning because of the spoilers already going around.

Two, the fake dead. Listen, fake dying when you have 20+ chapters and enough story to full in the meantime of the grieving and the plotting revenge of your lover (ex. Word of honor): YES.

Fake dying when you have a 13 episode run and more ads than actual story: you could try...but.............

Charlie "dying" isn't a problem at all; the aftermath is. The drama should have shown us he was alive at the end of the episode or built enough story in previous episodes for the viewer to entertain itself with other than said character dying. Is like the drama is fighting over who should have more protagonism: the romance or the plot. Because you either are a romance with a subplot of car races and daddy issues or you are a drama about werewolf with superpowers who coincidentally ended up being together. AND, you have to choose what characters are worth showing and what are more as a tell. Like, tell me why they decided to complete ignore the fact that Kim and Babe hang out once and had more evidence and more targets to work on against Tony? Kim is...sleeping in eating in Alan's house while Babe roots in grief and depression. OR, why they showed Tony so early when they could have kept this big man on the shadows and work around the idea that a lot of the lost brothers of Babe are also victims and each have their own plan against him? Also, each character has his own hidden agenda and I am getting a little frustrated about how no one talks to anyone about literally anything; this isn't even a miscommunication trope, they are communicating, just not what actually matters.

Anyway, I am a little scared of the root the drama is heading to but I am also excited to see what else they are going for

I am reading the Pit Babe Novel and for people the are anxious like me and want to know what the hell could be happening here come some spoilers:

Way is also a adopted son of Tony, he is an Enigma (super alpha that can impregnate Alphas) and were send to Babe to impregnate him 10 years ago. But he "fell in love" (became possive over Babe) and decide to wait for him to want it. He has the power of mind control and been using on Babe for years to never let him get close to someone. -- So in last episodes i think he was definitely using to make Babe left Charlie --.

Charlie and Jess are also Tony's sons, Charlie is an super powered Alpha like Babe, he has the power to steal other's people's powers and Jeff is a omega on the novel with the power of seing the future.

Charlie is the only one with a secret plan in the novel and involves protecting Babe from Tony since he heard his father talking about the rebelling son and his plans to still impregnate him. So Charlie starts following him and ends up falling for him and racing, he decides to use his power on Babe to steal his special abilities and make him useless to their father.. -- Now i think the series is going a little diferent since they probably won't do the impregnantion plot but i still think Charlie's reason is to protect Babe --

When Charlie first approaches Babe he really want to become a racer, his ideia was going into racing (what he discovered he liked while following Babe) and keeping an eye out for Babe. -- But we all know how this first encounter goes --

Way uses his power by touching while Charlie has to do the deed with the person.

Way tries to rape Babe in the novel more further along and Charlie saves him and steals Way's powers.

Charlie and Babe and Tony's "favorite sons" (possesions?) and will not leave them alone.

Stealling Babe's power makes Charlie his father target and he knows it.

If Charlie dies the powers return to the original owner, if the owner dies he loses the power. -- Do we all se Way trying to kill Charlie to get his powers back here? --

Babe founds out about Charlie when he sees him going in one of his father's car. He follows thinking that his father was going to threat Charlie and founds out everything.

I only read until here, chapter 13, i write more about the others chapters later, but now in the novel the danger goes from Babe to Charlie since he has his powers and their father want to get him.

Pitbabe episode 13 - final episode

I’m surprised Babe reacted that kindly to Charlie still being alive. Also, that man has been through ENOUGH. literally saw his boyfriend AND best friend die in front of him. He needs a break

And everyone was saying how they didn’t want way to die like in the novel, but the directors really went through with it. There was no PeteWay at all, the PR team fooled us. In fact, the pitbabe social media team fooled us with all the other side couples lol. Making me think they were gonna go full on couple mode😭 but only CRUMBS

I’m so sad it ended though. I love this show and I’m glad I was there for the whole Pitbabe journey. Hopefully the cast will come back again for a different BL. I honestly don’t want a second season. But we shall see 🥺 Pavel’s acting is very good and I can see him starring in many more things, not just BL. I also appreciated the Alan x Jeff moments in the final as well. 😏

ok so i can definitely say that we didn't have enough time, though we did at least touch on everything that was important - it's more so that we didn't get to expand on it. one more episode that's a little calmer and wraps things up would have definitely been perfect.

i was recently rewatching the eighth sense and thinking how a lot of movies especially, but also some books and limited series, feel pretty comfortable ending things on a "you kinda get what happens later anyway, right?" note, instead of actually settling the viewer/reader into what happens later. in the case of the eighth sense, that would have been episode 9, which could have easily been the moment it ended, because the characters reunite and "the rest is history". but instead we have a quite calm and slow (/pos) episode 10 that wraps the story up in a very comprehensive way. pit babe kind of ended on its metaphorical episode 9 though.

now with everything that happened in this finale, i can pretty confidently say what happens next. i know for a fact that both charliebabe and alanjeff will be solid. babe will slowly make up with his father. everyone will settle into a tony-less life and finally breathe out. sonic and north will properly get back together. kim will become a prominent and popular member of the x-hunter family. i can even say that i'm almost fully sure pete and kenta will get together. but this last episode kind of ended up being an intersection-less highway on the road to a final destination. there is really nowhere else for us to go but damn do i wish we actually got to the point, when the car stops and we're done with the road.

still, i don't particularly fault anyone for how this happened. they just got 13 episodes. and - looking back at the whole series - i don't think there are chunks we could do without. there is nowhere to get that extra time from. and they worked damn well with what they were given. and at the end of the day, i got the meat of what i wanted from this finale. so really, i'm good.
