Then, in that memory, Todd questioned Black's "new friends" but he said it in such a way that clearly showed he was jealous

23.5 ep 2 initial reaction

Yes yes I know I’m late but I think that’s my brand now. Idk how I reacted in time to only friends me doing anything reliably is impossible.

Moving!!! On!!! As your internet lesbian big sister I’m here to react to this gl. So far I’m really enjoying it. Yes it’s slice of life, but it’s beautiful. It’s innocent. It’s so gay.

How many relationships have I had in my head with my friends who are girls? Idk a million. While I’ve never impersonated a man. I have felt getting in too deep and having to quit because A. Their feelings for me got weird B. My feelings for them got weird C. One or both of us started dating real human people. The statement “if you were only a guy we could” haunts me to this day. So Ongsa trying to ghost Sun then staring at her phone was intensely real to me.

Sun is so precious when it comes to her feelings for Ongsa. She’s seeking a real connection something that goes beyond into another world and someone be more accurate? She loves earth because he’s there and funny. She feels safe with him. And that’s exactly what she shows us is how she feels about Ongsa as well it’s so cute.

YES!!! I am so excited for the space obsession!! Was a little worried we’d only get metaphorical references to space and nerdy things. Luna is ready to get some younger students into the cult of science and reason. Did someone see my skeptic and space phase when I was 17-18? Luna is really 20/10 I love her so much. Also I love her name Luna… She has a connection with the earth and sun. The moon reflects the sun and Luna is beautiful, charming like Sun. I love these two besties on a mission to help their fellow outcast succeed it’s the best trope. I screamed when they both bought good luck charms for Ongsa.

Pit Babe ep 13 initial reaction

Okay let’s do the final photo review. Okay ep 11 10 12 weren’t for me but I think 13 was good. My initial rating has to be an 8/10. A very surprising 8/10.

I was EXTREMELY upset that the racing bl that I had been looking forward to was ABO I like race car driving in general so I really was said abo was gonna happen. However this show didn’t take ABO in the creepy ways I hate mainly the sexism and homosexuality of it all. Honestly it’s straight girl’s fantasy most of the time. As a lesbian I am turned off by the sexism and breeding 🤮. But Pitbabe was interesting and bearable idk if there are subsequent seasons will lean into those tropes but I hope not. I love the actor for Babe he’s extremely talented ep13 only cemented this for me. I really enjoyed JeffAlan, PeteKenta, and NorthSonic I thought they had a good amount of side character relationships. JeffAlan felt very natural and sweet. I loved the characters of Kim and Kenta just interesting. What I didn’t like was how clownery the plot was. It was a little cheesy hokey. I think the writing didn’t do any favors for Charlie either. Charlie is very V A N I L L A I don’t think it’s the actors fault. I’ve decided it’s writing. Although I think the motivation of Tony was cartoon villain the actor really brought the evil to life I enjoyed his portrayal of a cult leader really. Anyways let’s get on to the photo review

Babe in this scene is just chef kiss if people question can bl peeps act show them this. He’s hysterical to see Charlie again. I was worried Babe would just accept Charlie back or be Angry but this is better. You can see he’s hurt but so happy Charlie is alive and with him that Babe is healed in a way. Charlie was being weird but I think it’s the writing. So beautiful in his emotions omg.

Wow… the three of them beating up winner and NorthSonic uploading the video. So cool. Really these scenes had me sitting on the edge of my seat rooting for them. ALSO WE ALL KNOW I LOVE KIM. I’m on board with Kim being a third for NorthSonic. Kim is also very fashionable. He fits in perfectly.

I’m glad someone died. I do find it poetic and fitting that Way died saving Babe very full circle. I didn’t hate Way as much as everyone else. He was wrong for what he did but… I feel like he had the bones and the actor to make a compelling rejected love interest. I do think babe always cared about way in a true friendship which was beautiful.

Pete and Kenta bad ass bitches getting shit done. I think Kenta might legit be Tony’s child. Like biologically. That would be a good twist. I was said we didn’t get any PeteKenta reunion in the end.

Alan and Jeff are so…

Idk they have very high chemistry. Jeff really feels like a person who hasn’t been exposed to the real world really and he’s truly trying to comfort Alan. To be fair Alan has been through a shit ton but he does feel that pain and seeks comfort in Jeff. It’s very sweet even though we get the sexy scenes for them.

Quick note is way buried at the race track or something?! Why is his grave on his own?! Way’s ghost is going to be lonely…. It’s pretty but still.

The my kid is sick and so I need to sell him trope is sadly something I’ve seen before BUT!!!! I enjoyed the Dad’s acting he seemed really torn about it and he never ever gave up.

North Sonic’s contrast pants and hyping up Kim was perfect. Kim being happy to watch Babe and Charlie is very endearing. I hope Kim and Babe can be besties who push each other. I know Kim isn’t a special alpha but I like the dynamic of him being the best human? Idk. He’s 10/10 I love him.

Babe and Charlie crashing Alan’s intricate date so they can be found family couples together gahhh I really loved the family aspect to the series it wasn’t super loud or overdone but you knew Babe Alan North Sonic were truly family who added in Charlie Kim Jeff.

Today in Non & White/Phee & Tee parallels:

This disgust, which reverberates from White's hallucination into Tee's own hallucination, reminds me of Non reading slut-shaming Twitter posts:

Which highlights the stigmatisation of overt queer sexuality, and the idealisation of purity as opposed to "unethical" or non-monogamous sex, specifically between young, gay men. The connotation of "filthy" is obviously sexual here -- White is filthy, even diseased (the lesions...) because of the assumptions Tee makes about his fidelity. I don't think White cheated, but to me, that's not even the point. What is important here is White's anxiety about Tee's paranoia.

Tee's accusation in White's hallucination represents on a personal level what the twitter posts that Non reads represent on a systemic level -- the disgust, and the underlying fear, of deviant sexual desire. In DFF, there are several kinds of deviant sexuality: queer, non-monogamous, crossing the boundaries of hierarchy -- the latter with Keng and Non.

All three are conflated within this anxiety, there isn't a separation between Non's queerness, for example, and Keng's coercion of Non, even though there should be, because all kinds of non-normative sexuality and sex are seen as a threat against the status quo, against the importance of social reputation that mandates a certain level of "cleanliness". It's why those twitter posts at once condemn Keng for having sex with a student under 18 and, at the same time, shame Non for his perceived lack of chastity, and don't seem to see the contradiction.

It's not incidental that Non breaks so thoroughly after this video is posted, after his reputation and that of his family is irretrievably damaged, after he loses his boyfriend who is morally disgusted with him. Non, and White who is his mirror, absorb the anxiety about sexually active gay men, young gay men in particular who are perceived as especially filthy for their defying the purity associated with their youth. Phee and Tee who condemn them are also affected -- Tee's disgust is especially relevant because he fears being touched by White, by catching his disease.

The fear of being a social outcast is another reason, on top of personal betrayal, why Phee and Tee so viscerally reject Non and White, why they push them away and literally tell them to "get lost". Of course, Tee acts this way in White's hallucination because White is the one who has this once latent and now overt disgust at his own perceived deviance, which is only compounded by Tee's actual jealousy.

I don't have anything coherent to say, really, but it's worth looking into the fraught relationships among what is perceived as deviant sex/sexuality, stigmatisation of said deviance, outcasting from within and outside those spaces, and reputation/social standing/face.

23.5 ep 1 initial reaction!!!

Been waiting for this one!!!! I’m so excited!!! I love consuming queer media because I’m a lesbian. But there is very sapphic content that I have really enjoyed. Too often it’s unrealistic fetishized toxic red flag material. While high school slice of life isn’t my favorite genre I’m ready for this!! I’m very happy with ep 1 very relatable interesting stylized characters.

Let’s get into the photo review!!!! I didn’t take a ton so don’t expect this too get too wordy

I like how they play with anonymity getting to know someone without fully seeing them or the situation. Starting off scene one. I find it interesting that Sun is always moving to Ongsa it’s very sweet. She’s the one who gets up seeks Ongsa again and again.

Are you a true loser if you haven’t had a mental breakdown in the toilet? 😭 recently I had a panic attack made it to the restroom to hide the effects then accidentally left my BTS Wings tour hat in there. Panic fog is real. But been doing it since high school. Ongsa needs to perfect the quiet melt down lmao.

Sun is so precious. I guess it’s because the show is from Ongsa’s POV but I’m stunned and in love too. She’s really trying her best to be a good person. She finds Ongsa magnetic. It’s not overstated.

Gahhh Ongsa’s nerd happiness is so cute. She must be protected at all costs she can do nothing wrong. Just want to boop her and Latte’s nose.

Awwww Aylin’s advice and defense mechanism is very sweet her looks are Iconic. She says Just be yourself. But then she’s looking for aliens because her classmates says she is one. 😭 painful. But she owns it. I’m jealous.

Big sister squad assemble. The filming thing does make me feel old. I’m sure this is how high schools are these days. I mean people bullied using social media when I was in high school but it wasn’t yet invasive filming. But!! Bullying feels the same. Impersonal. For personal gain.

Also a little confused as to why Ongsa lived in Phuket while her sister was going to school here.

I adore how Sun is falling in love with Ongsa slowly by enjoying her personality and humor. Just as the thing Ongsa loves about Sun is how positive and caring she is. Although Ongsa does already find Sun B E A U T I F U L. Can’t blame her. But Sun intelligently connecting to Ongsa is finding a path to who she really is

Which makes the texting scenes so beautiful. Sun is in Ongsa’s world. I adore the other worldness they are together seeing who they really are. Two beautiful souls trying to connect.

Dead Friend Forever ep 12 initial reaction

It’s over am I happy? Not particularly. It is interesting though. Let’s go over it and then I’ll make my rating post for the whole series

Disclaimer upfront I get triggered by blood so I did watch some scenes with my hands covering the top of the scene so maybe I missed things.

Okay so let’s get into the ep

I find it interesting that Top, Jin, and Fluke all include their ‘friends’ in their hallucinations. While White, Phee, Tee are more self solo focused. I imagine if Por was alive his nightmare scenario would be group based because he wanted to be cool or if it was solo maybe it would be man he’s a really big asshole personality wise. Probably good he didn’t live to this last scene would have been redundant or abhorrent.

So Fluke was afraid of being bullied by Top and Tee. He never really felt a hundred percent with the group. I find it telling that Por and Non convince him to take his eyes out because people felt like he had no guilt for both of their deaths. Realistically if Fluke had stood up to Top and Tee when the camera got broken I do think because Fluke and Por were good friends Por might have believed Fluke over Top but maybe not. Por was an asshole. But him doing anything in the other scenes won’t have really helped. He didn’t have any power in the group dynamic. He wasn’t even particularly close to Jin the reason they both found non and the teacher was because they were in the same class.

I started to get suspicious we might be in dream sess for Top’s he’ll scape. 1 idk how he is still alive 2 he’s still very much on drugs anyways. Also the fear of being betrayed by his friends them not listening to him was an interesting motivation. We saying top was a people pleaser I guess? Idk I wanted more from his character. Did find it poetic he and Fluke offed each other when their fears were so routed in their friendships their bonds. Then that’s what threw them down the stairs.

Tee 😭😭😭😭 even in the nightmare trying to help Non over and over trying to give him hope. Trying to do all that he could. Trapped and trying his best. Shows that he deeply fundamentally didn’t want to be a bad guy. A caged animal tortured animal doesn’t run when you open the cage you have to show it the way out first. I think Tee was hoping seeing Non escape would mean he could go for his freedom too. I cried during his and White’s scene. Also how beautiful are they? I hope Tee survives

Once again I think something bad happened to White to make him feel like he’s dirty that he’s automatically a slut for making friends. Yes Tee gets jealous but I won’t say it’s abnormally so White puts that pressure on himself. He desperately wanted to be Tee’s above all else a very sweet motivator. I once again cried watching what happened. I’m glad Tan had second doubts about his death at least.

Jin stalker/unhealthy obsession? Idk it’s just what the TV imagery and the cell phones make me think of Because my mind goes to BTS Suga’s solo MV for Shadow. Jin’s certainly ashamed of what he did. He also had his friends in there saying he was scared they’d hate me. Very interesting. Jin is MAJORLY insecure. He values his perception and hates who he really is and the pleasure he desires. I was disappointed to see him still alive but then again if he had that injury I was curious if he would survive just based on blood loss to the hospital. Really really hated the visuals on that so… maybe I missed something

Found it heartbreaking that New’s Non was a good little brother. Ugh I can’t imagine losing my sister and this scene really hurts. That New has done all this shit but deep down he knows what New really felt about him and New’s scared he’s done the wrong thing.

Found it sus we see New die of a gut injury when the shot hit his shoulder. But was sweet that Non came back to thank him in his head. A good end although doubting it happened.

Wow Jin being the human one in this scene of the future. I guess he’d be an idealized version of Jin.

Uhhhhh yes? In that Tee would need to accept what happened and seek help. But also no? Phee showing his double standard here. Phee didn’t you just learn you would have been there for Non if you could? Well if Tee was suffering like that Phee you should visit him even if it’s hard it’d be his duty. Phee is partly responsible for what happened. Phee you can care about people you ain’t fucking and or their family members. It’s okay to have friends naturally and support them.

Season 2!!!! Big reveal? So how much of this ep was a dream?? Whole thing? From when new used the gas? I also wonder would New’s protections for himself actually work? Yes he has those cure smoke things but the nightmare stuff is still in everything. I would like it if maybe Non had survived and some how drugged them all? I don’t think he did but 9th person Mr Keng? Non? White? Steps in and all of this outcome has been Phee’s interpretation of the truth ep 12? Maybe idk. I can’t wait for season 2

Non listed all the ways these boys fucked him over: bullied him, tortured him, made him work the hardest; then, New listed all the ways they fucked him over: broke his family, released his brother's tape, lied. But unlike Non who couldn't complete his revenge, hopefully history doesn't repeat, and New can finish what he started.

Because as many people have stated, New is no longer acting on behalf of Non. This has gone beyond Non. These boys ruined lives, plural. And if anyone is going to follow through with what Non wanted, it should be his brother.

Nobody gave two fucks what Non wanted when they were using him. Not a single one of these jerks, so now is not the time to start thinking about "what Non would want" since it didn't matter before! Don't hit me with the "What Would Jesus Do?" when shit gets real because Jesus would have flipped all the damn tables and starved your kids, Phi!

Dead Friend Forever Episode 11 initial reaction

I’m so sad!!!!!!!!!! 😭

So many beautiful moments. Really the episode exceeded my expectations. I’m glad we got so much Tee. I’ve been rooting for him since the beginning. Poor baby. In an unwinnble situation he kept hope unlike New who gave in to the darkness.

Although don’t get me wrong I mostly still agree with Tan New more of the boys need to pay for what they did. Tee has paid he’s paid again and again. No wonder last ep White said to Tee “you told me you wanted to be friends with them remember?” Gahhh right in the heart Tee wanted to have a normal friendships.

Let’s get into it. How do we only have 1 ep left?!

The fact Tee did EVERYTHING in his power to save Non speaks volumes. He didn’t expect things to spiral out of control. He wanted to care for his dad who obviously needs help but Tee was working like crazy he doesn’t feel bad for non he feels guilt and works to make things better it’s better than any apology

Okay but are we sure he’s not White’s long lost brother or twin? Also I love him. What an icon

What’s cruel is Tee and his dad didn’t ask for this. There is nothing his dad could have done to protect Tee when your mind goes it’s hard to admit it and then it snowballs into no longer being able to care for others and then delves into not being able to care for yourself it’s heart breaking it’s like boiling a frog in soup and I hope it is a fate that doesn’t await me. Tee had no where to go but his uncle. Tee has very little choices in his life. I can believe he’s a bully when everything in his life is out of his hands.

The actor for Tee in the final Non scenes and his speech after this letter. It got me crying. Man this actor needs an award too. It really hit me to my core Tee doesn’t emote much but you could feel pain resignation injustice in his every move.

I’m DEVASTATED that Non is actually dead. I was hoping Non really did find a way to escape when Tee gave Non the money. Non had every right to not trust Tee and to be a little crazy. He still didn’t have access to medicine. I wonder if Tan/New suffers from the same mental illness. Ugh Non…. Believing no one would miss him at the end. Really hurts my soul.

I feel like if Non got to an afterlife and saw how tough Tee was working to atone for what he did I think Non sent White as a miracle for Tees life. If so it’d be beautiful if White was able to save as many as possible.

White and Tee are precious it heals what was broken from only friends with Boston and Nick.

No one deserves to be alone. Everyone needs the chance to change. To be happy.

Wow their kisses are so fucking amazing. I adore them I could have watched 12 eps of their relationship. I really don’t want Tee or White to die

Okay get em Tan/New but I still want Tee and White to live. I don’t blame him for acting this way he’s still my baby and he has every right to hate Phee being weak. Yes I know you shouldn’t kill people however if someone RUINS my family. DESTORYS them? I don’t care if my mom came down from heaven and told me to spare the person who choked my sister with their bare hands. I’d shoot them.
