Here is the charm design I made for the @planceeverafter zine! This one was super fun to come up with because what better thing to go with Plance than plants? I love the symbolism of tulips for Pidge/Meklavar - “deep and perfect love,” and bluebells for Lance/Pike - “loyalty, constancy, humility and gratitude.”

For the WIP game: craving

(I love you) (me to you) (but also if that phrase is in your WIP pls share)

I'm dying, "craving" shows up in the ZootAU chapter I'm working on and it's a fantastically hilarious scene.

“What, do you have an instinctual craving to eat me?” She half laughs. “That’s-” “Sort of.” She freezes, this time more out of shock than any kind of fearful response. “What.” “Ugh,” he sighs, facepalming. “I’m explaining this horribly.”

You know me in the fact that I'm notorious for loving characters saying "I love you" without saying the phrase. So for kicks I looked to see if there were any ILYs or variations in my WIPs, and the ONLY one I've got is in the DoA Honeymoon scene and it's not even a direct line of dialogue, just an allusion to dialogue said.

This is indescribable, irrefutable and it's theirs. Kissing his neck as he joins them again and again she can't help but whisper her "I love you"s against his skin and whimper as his hips lead the way to a place in which words will utterly fail her and the only thought that will fill her mind will be of him. She didn't even need to speak. Just the swells of her body, the gaze in her eyes, the tug of her lips, the brush of her fingertips... it was enough to let Pike understand someone in this world needed him to stay in it. That, instead of constantly destroying and living in fear of ruining all he held dear, he was able to feel purpose in his life and live in hope of protecting those closest to him. There was no greater blessing in his life he could ever ask for... He owed Meklavar everything.

Due to the insanity that is COVID-19, instead of doing a week event it’s going to be for the whole month so people have more time to work things into their crazy schedules. Instead of the usual 8 prompts there will be 12 to choose from and you can post at any time within the month. This year we’re doing a theme of emotion for the prompts, so there’s lots of room for creativity.

Well, now at least it all made sense, why Pike hadn't wanted to enter the village.

Meklavar can't shake the shame of not listening to her comrade when they'd first come here. Now they both pay the price, tied up like a present in the room they had paid for. She wiggles and squirms, reaching helplessly for the dagger she keeps in her boot but curse her short arms she can't reach it.

For his part, Pike works the ropes and she trusts him to get out of his more than she. After all, if a thief couldn't escape this who could?

Yet its been hours, Meklavar is sure of it, and they are still stuck. Pike pants, nearing exhaustion.

"Are you okay?" she worries.

"I'll be fine just... keep wiggling and loosening the rope."

There's a hopelessness in his voice that Meklavar wishes she hadn't heard, but his body language says otherwise, pushing and squirming to set them free.

It carries on for several more minutes until boots pound closer and closer to the room.

"Hopefully we'll get some answers now," she says, though she has little relief in the prospect.

Pike gulps. "Mek... whatever happens... just remember I love you. Okay?"

"I - I know," she responds. Stupid. Dumb stupid Meklavar. What kind of response was that?

The door opens before she can clarify. Meklavar gulps as their assailant walks in and closes the door behind him. The muscular dragonborn towers above them, grinning toothily as he approaches. Despite the unkind smile making her stomach curdle, she glowers as best she can.

"What do you want with us?" she hisses.

Her heart stops as he kneels and cups her chin, rising her gaze to his. "There is always a hefty reward out for Olkarian dwarves," their captor drags lowly, "dead or alive."

Meklavar's mind goes numb, terror shaking her limbs. He means to bring her to Daibazaal Mountain. She'd braved the journey to the wretched place to rescue her father and brother from the Galra quintessence mines, but had sworn to never go back.

Now she may not have a choice.

"As for the mongrel," the bounty hunter says as he stands - for what else could he be. He sets his massive hand over Pike's head and ruffles it, as if he were a child or a... pet, "just a bonus punching bag." He chuckles cruelly. "Been a while since I had the pleasure of declawing one."

Pike trembles. "I'll rip off your scales," he promises with an inhuman growl. Meklavar can't remember the last time she'd seen him so utterly terrified.

This bounty hunter will kill him if she does nothing. Meklavar takes a deep breath. The risk is calculated but... this is how she shows Pike she loves him.

"Let him go," Meklavar pleads. "If you do I... I'll go with you quietly. No struggle."

Pike gasps. "Mek, n--!"

The bounty hunter laughs, his claws pressing dangerously against Pike's throat. "A dwarf trading her life for her pet. Adorable, if anything. Very well. So long as you allow yourself to be handed over, I'll not kill the mongrel and even set him free. Until then, you'd best be on your best behavior."

Julance 2021 Prompt: Catboy

The seats on the Ferris wheel were narrow enough that Pidge ended up sitting very close to him. Lance didn’t mind. He stretched and slipped one long arm around her shoulders, pulling her ever closer to his side. Pidge looked at him askance as she held her stuffed lion in her lap.

“Is this okay?” he whispered.

She eyed him peripherally and grinned at him. “You do this all the time, and you’ve never asked permission before. You even do it while we’re playing Monsters and Mana.”

“Do what?”

“Drape yourself all over me like the cat-boy that you are,” she teased.

He grinned at her. “Well...I guess Pike’s been trying to put the moves on Meklavar, because—you know—he thinks she’s the cutest axe fighter in the three kingdoms.”

Pidge rolled her eyes. “They aren’t even the same species. But I guess that never stopped you before.”

“Ow! I’m wounded!” She laughed at him.

“It’s true. You’re the biggest flirt I’ve ever met, which is why I don’t know if I can take any of this seriously.”

“What do you mean?”

She studied him for a moment, then looked into his eyes as the Ferris Wheel rose higher. “Let’s just say that Meklavar isn’t the kind of dwarf that Pike can have his way with and then abandon. She doesn’t do casual relationships. With her it’s all or nothing.”

Lance’s heart was hammering in his chest. He knew they were approaching a moment of truth. He stroked her soft, thick hair, gently slipping a wayward lock behind one ear. “Pike doesn’t do casual relationships either. He’s a long-term commitment kind of guy.” His thumb gently caressed her cheek.

“Really?” she asked, barely above a whisper.

“Yeah,” he breathed. “When their quest finally comes to an end, Pike would like to settle down in a nice village with his cute axe-fighter wife, and you know, maybe raise a few kittens.”

Pidge’s eyes sparkled with glee as she leaned closer to him. “I think Meklavar would like that.” Their faces were mere inches apart, and Lance was entranced by how beautiful her golden brown eyes were. He was suddenly overwhelmed by a desperate desire to kiss her.

Our discord server had a really fun round-robin event; artists drew pictures and swapped with a different artist to color, and writers created fics to go with the pictures. 5 stars, would definitely participate in again! My offering was a Pike and Meklavar adventure date! Who doesn’t love dragons?? Maybe: Pike

@ashkazora​ did a fantastic job of coloring my linework and bringing it to life (I cannot get enough of the sparkles, and those clouds are just :hearteyes:)!
