The family made space among the very limited numbers at Prince Philip's funeral to include Max of Baden's son (and descendants of his other sisters). Charles, Anne and Edward asked other German cousins (descendants of Philip's other sister) to represent them at Max of Baden's funeral.
I suspect that the German connection is not more widely publicised and actual members of the BRF were not sent, because the BRF is still trying to pretend that it's not extremely German. That is why it was deemed preferable for heirs to marry into the British aristocracy (Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon and Diana Spencer) rather than Prince Philip (Glucksburg and Battenberg). There are videos out there of Philip speaking perfect, unaccented German (Google Prince Philip speaks German) but hardly anybody knows about them.
Thank you.

Polar Bear
Pit: Woah! This polar bear's wearing sunglasses! He's looking pretty cool. Viridi: How did you beat me, again? Palutena: Now, now, Viridi, let's not give him a cold reception. Viridi: That's- Ugh, fine, there's snow-thing like your jokes, Pit. Happy? Pit: I don't get it. Palutena: That was a joke? Viridi: You- Ugh! Pit, listen, that Polar Bear is a creature that can show up if the Ice Climbers are taking too much time scaling the mountain. His main purpose is to pound on the ground, making the ground shake and the mountains move, so that they hurry up and get off of his slopes. Pit: That's really mean of him, Viridi! Can you ask him why he does that? Viridi: I don't busy myself in the affairs of bears. Not after last time. Palutena: Pit, I know you don't like eating your vegetables, so watch out for the produce the Polar Bear throws. Each one has a different effect, so an eggplant will have a different trajectory from a napa cabbage, for example. Pit: Eggplant... Blech.
Philip
Pit: Aw, poor kid. Is he doing alright? He looks so sad... Palutena: Well, his world is sort of... Corrupted? I suppose is the right word. Pit: What?! Lady Palutena, can we aid him in any way?! Palutena: I'm afraid not, Pit. It's his duty, along with Leg Horse, to find the City of Forms and restore his world to its proper state. Viridi: There's something incredibly off-putting about him. Is this really the form he's supposed to be taking? Palutena: Well... Pit: So, uh. He IS a fighter, right? Any word on his moves or... Anything? Palutena: Oh, yes. He has something called a MYSTERY Command, but that'll do one of several things at random, so you shouldn't worry too much about it. The more pressing thing he can do, however, is BLOOD RAGE. Viridi: Blood Rage? Palutena: BLOOD RAGE. If Pit's hit by it, he'll become more physically powerful... Pit: Wait, seriously?! That sounds amazing- Palutena: ...At the cost of sealing away all of Pit's special moves. No arrows, no Upperdash Arm, and, most importantly, no Power of Flight. So... Maybe think carefully before getting debilitated by him, huh? Pit: ...Noted.

The Duchy of Cornwall owns Llwynywermod, Wikipedia now calls that William’s Welsh residence because it is the Duke of Cornwall’s Welsh residence… But idk, they also list Highgrove as William’s house and while technically true, it’s still Charles who lives there. It would be nice to see the entire family spend time there, same as they’ve spent time on the Isles of Scilly the last few years.
yeah, that's why i don't count it as his really, if that makes sense
like it's such a special space to charles and where i think he finds a lot of peace (he went there after philip's funeral) and i can't imagine william just going "oop that's mine now pa sorry lmao"
i agree, it would be nice to see them spend time in wales. there's a wealth of family stuff to do, but if i were them, i'd avoid the easter break too. i've already vetoed about 20 requests from my kids for days out because ungggggg no thank you, not in tourist season

For years, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton were so close that they could easily have been mistaken for brother and sister.
He jokingly called her 'Cath' and declared she was 'the sister he never had,' while the pair were often seen giggling and sharing cheeky jokes at public events.
Pals praised the royal duo's 'strong bond,' adding that Kate helped bring out Harry's 'fun side.'
It was even the Duchess of Cambridge who helped engineer a conversation between warring Prince William and Harry at Prince Philip's funeral, seemingly not taking sides.
Tumblr media
But royal commentator Duncan Larcombe told OK! Magazine that the once unshakable bond has been broken.
"Kate was, as Harry said, the sister he never had and clearly that is not the case any more," he said. "Those days are long in the past."
So what went wrong?
The first signs of trouble surfaced in the run up to Harry and Meghan's 2018 wedding amid reports of a tearful row at a bridesmaid dress fitting.
Tumblr media
Sources initially claimed Meghan had made Kate cry. Three years later, Meghan refuted those allegations, insisting to Oprah Winfrey that it had been 'the other way round.'
"She (Kate) was upset about something, but she owned it, and she apologised. And she brought me flowers," said Meghan.
"There wasn't a confrontation and I don't think it's fair to her to get into the details of that because she apologised, and I have forgiven her."
"What was hard to get over was being blamed for something that not only I didn't do but that happened to me."
But the Duke's new memoir reportedly claims Meghan Markle was left in tears as The Princess of Wales wanted Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid's dress remade.
Tumblr media
And it appears that for the first time, Harry has opened up about what happened in his new memoir, Spare.
The book isn't out until next week, however, an extract seen by Page Six details Harry's account of the now infamous row.
According to the US site, Kate messaged Meghan to tell her Charlotte's dress was "too big, long and baggy" and that the youngster "burst into tears when she tried it on."
The book reportedly claims that Kate was told to bring Charlotte and the dress to a tailor but the then Duchess of Cambridge said that the dress needed to be remade, with her wedding dress designer agreeing with this.
However, it is reportedly later claimed that Kate did take Charlotte to the tailor, with Harry writing he later found wife-to-be Meghan in tears following this.
However, he is said to add that Kate later apologised and gave Meghan flowers and a card.
Tumblr media
Then there was an alleged disagreement between the pair over Meghan's alleged treatment of Kate's staff at Kensington Palace. Meghan has denied all accusations of bullying staff.
And in a leaked extract from his new memoir Spare, Harry shifted some of the blame for his Nazi outfit scandal to his brother and sister-in-law.
He writes about asking for William and Kate 's advice on choosing between two outfits - a pilot's costume or the Nazi uniform.
In a segment of the book, obtained by Page Six, Harry writes: "I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought. Nazi uniform, they said."
He goes on to say that when he went home and tried it on for them, they "both howled."
Tumblr media
"Worse than Willy's leotard outfit!", he adds. "Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point."
Meanwhile, in Meghan and Harry's Netflix documentary, they again took aim at Kate, accusing her of being overly-formal on their first meeting.
Meghan said: "Even when Will and Kate came over, and I met her for the first time, they came over for dinner, I remember I was in ripped jeans and I was barefoot.
"Like I was a hugger, I've always been a hugger. I didn't realise that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits. I guess I started to understand really quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside."
For Kate, sources say those comments were a painful reminder of the space that's grown between her and Harry.
"Kate feels hurt and betrayed that Harry would do this to her, too, especially as the pair used to be so close," a source told Us Weekly.
The bombshell memoir is set to be released on Tuesday - just hours after the airing of two interviews Harry has given to ITV in the UK and US TV show 60 Minutes.

Only Princess Charlotte's dress was "too big, long and baggy."
Catherine was upset and Princess Charlotte burst into tears.
Catherine brought the dress to the tailor.
As if they have not been used to dressing up for official events? Keep trying, Meg. Haha!

Something I wrote off discord, ran out of space, so, got 2 birds with one stone with this
Tw: Cancer Loss, blaming if ones self, depression, all that shit.
Y'all I got a really sad yet heart warming au idea! So, yes, it's another swap au, but here's what it makes it sad.
So, Philip and Calebs parents died when Philip was really young, so he barely remembers them. Caleb basically raised him, and Evelyn only came into the picture when pip was around 8. So fast forward a few years, where Pip is around 10. Caleb and Evelyn are engaged. Pip and her don't really get along, but they tolerate each other for Caleb.
One day, Evelyn seemed more frantic then usual, and pip started noticing: Caleb getting shirt if breath, looking paler, and worst of all, Philip overhead Caleb crying to Evelyn. Caleb was coughing up blood. The doctor ran some tests, and:
Caleb was stage 3 lung cancer.
Caleb and Evelyn tried to hide it from the 11 year old, but Philip is smart and sharp. Caleb was going kemo, so Evelyn became Philips caretaker while Caleb was going through treatment. Philip would visit the hospital every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon after school, and would sit for hours, being held in Caleb's arms, or sitting next to him talking about his day.
One day, Philip didn't know this, but Caleb had stop responding to treatment. He kept it from Philip easily. He knew he would only have a few months left. So he tried to make the best of it.... He didnt last long thanks to one, terrible afternoon.
Philip had been in a pretty nasty fight. And, he was suspended from school. Caleb was upset and gave him lecture. Philip blew up and started screaming. As they kept screaming, suddenly, the heart monitor started going haywire, Evelyn bursts through the room, catching her dieing soulmate.
The doctors around tried everything to save him. But at Caleb was announced dead at 4:34pm on Saturday. After the funeral, Evelyn was legally now Philip's guardian. It was one of the worst times for each of them.
Evelyn tried her best. Putting in a brave face, helping (well... Trying) Philip with his homework. Cleaning and working 3.
One of her jobs are taking care of Philip.
But she's really depressed. But she needs to be strong for Philip. Philip is the only thing left she has of Caleb...
Philip on the other.....
Philip's anger problem got bad. He would scream at teachers. Throw chairs and stabbed pencils at his class mates. He even screams and throws things at Evelyn.
Now to cannon....
As in the start of the series, Philip is sent to the principals office because he had beaten up one of the bullies with a metal bat.
So Evelyn sends him off to anger management camp, all that fun stuff.
Now, fast forward to Yesterday's Lie.
Near the end, Evelyn would hold on to Philip as he is being pulled up. She would say:
"I already lost Caleb, I'm not losing you too!"
Ask me some questions cause I can't write no more

I have an idea regarding Eloise Bridgerton!
This idea is how we can fix her storyline for the TV while retaining elements from the book.
I suggest for her season to go down the path of Jo March of Little Women/ King and I/ Sound of Music etc.
So Eloise is a strong willed girl right? And Philip is kind of an ass (esp in the book. Pls. Don't defend this a**hole pls.)
Show Bridgerton have us getting Bridgerton sibs into love that they do not expect.
So Eloise, the strong willed independent one and forward thinking one will find love with Philip who is the exact antithesis of the love she expects and hopes for herself.
For this to happen Marina will have to die. Perhaps Eloise befriends Philip by attending Marina's funeral or she may have a prior correspondence with Marina due to Penelope's betrayal etc.
Perhaps Philip maybe a bit traditional and he will be the type to be stern on his children. He will probably employ strict rules on behavior etc. Or maybe have servants raise these children more than himself. He will be stern. But not abusive.
Because in his head this is how it should be for them to be "enough" for society. He do not want them to experience how he was "never enough" how he was the "weirdo geeky second son" bullied by his own father and the other school boys for not being as strong and as handsome as George.
He has good intentions. He does not want them to be trampled down by people of higher standing. He is a mere Baronet. Basically a commoner with a title. He is also a second son. A spare to the heir.
But Eloise, having been raised in a loving environment which allowed her to be herself. (Sure the Bridgertons may roll their eyes at her but they never really prohibit her from her forward thinking. They don't really stifle her. They just really worry for her a lot)
Because of this Eloise realizes how good she have it with her own family and thus appreciates them more, all the while helping Philip understand how his "parenting" is damaging to his children.
she will be the one who will make him "loosen up" and "chill" and actually enjoy living instead of just being with his plants all the time.
After all, Eloise is a spontaneous character
Philip soon realizes ( thru the drama with an actually abusive governess) They may not be his own bio children but the children see him as their own father.
He was abused as a kid right? And was lonely. Eloise will make him realize how he is doing exactly what was done to him to the twins.
Eloise will have grown up from the Third Season, thus preparing her to be the Boss of her own season.
Systematically tearing down Philips walls and insecurities and internalized machismo etc.
What does Philip offer in exchange?
Well he is smart. I can give him that.
I hope they portray him to be an academic. And someone who does not rely on his title to be respectable.
He will entertain Eloise rants and and actually challenge them etc. He will not be opposed to the idea of feminism etc. Having gone through the wringer with expectations of "manliness" himself. but he will challenge Eloise to refine her ideas "the academic way" teaching her methods of inquiry.
Teaching her how to stick it to the man ala Mary Wolstonecraft. After all she is rich enough to have the same level of influence (despite the glass ceiling).
He will teach Eloise to play the game. To maximize the space she has been given as a gentlewoman ala Jane Austen. He will be the professor she was never allowed to have.
He will always attempt to do the right thing. And that will be the most admirable thing about him.
The trait Eloise will fall in love with
He always tries. He did not need to adopt these children as his own but he did and he is trying his best to be a good father. (While really having the worst possible foundation)
Meanwhile, Eloise now in love with Philip. Will also struggle to reconcile the idea of herself and motherhood. Eventually though, she will realize that motherhood is not contrary to feminism, to her ideas of freedom etc.
Raising children can be intellectually rewarding. Especially when she bonds with Amanda and Oliver who are both very intelligent and wary/questioning of authority. This bond will help her discover how they are being abused by their governess.
Then she becomes like "Jo March" character.
Finding her purpose was to be a governess. Raising very intelligent and open minded children.

Britain and the world to lay Queen Elizabeth II to rest
Britain and the world are laying Queen Elizabeth II to rest on Monday at a state funeral that is drawing presidents and kings, princes and prime ministers -- and up to a million people lining the streets of London to say a final goodbye to a monarch whose 70-year reign defined an age.
A day packed with funeral events in London and Windsor began early when the doors of 900-year-old Westminster Hall were closed to mourners after hundreds of thousands had filed in front of her flag-draped coffin. Many had waited for hours in line, including through cold nights, to pay their respects in an outpouring of collective grief and respect.
"I felt like I had to come and pay my final respects to our majestic queen. She has done so much for us and just a little thank you really from the people," said Tracy Dobson, who was among the last to join the line.
Complete coverage of the Royal Family
In a country known for pomp and pageantry, the first state funeral since Winston Churchill's promised to be a spectacular display: 142 Royal Navy sailors are set to pull the gun carriage carrying Elizabeth's coffin to Westminster Abbey, where 2,000 people ranging from world leaders to health care workers and volunteers plan to mourn her. Ahead of the ceremony, one of the Abbey's bells is tolling 96 times -- once a minute for each year of her life.
Monday has been declared a public holiday in honor of Elizabeth, who died Sept. 8 -- and hundreds of thousands of people descended on central London to partake in the historic moment. Long before the service was set to begin, city authorities said viewing areas along the route of the funeral's procession were full.
Millions more are expected to tune into the funeral live on television, and crowds are flocking to parks and public spaces across the U.K. to watch it on screens.
On the evening before, King Charles III issued a message of thanks to people in the U.K. and around the world, saying he and his wife Camilla, the queen consort, have been "moved beyond measure" by the large numbers of people who have turned out to pay their respects to the queen.
"As we all prepare to say our last farewell, I wanted simply to take this opportunity to say thank you to all those countless people who have been such a support and comfort to my family and myself in this time of grief," he said.
Following the funeral in the medieval abbey where Elizabeth was married and crowned, her coffin -- ringed by units of the armed forces in dress uniforms and members of her family -- will be brought through the capital's streets to Wellington Arch near Hyde Park.
There, it will be placed in a hearse to be driven to Windsor Castle -- where Elizabeth spent much of her time -- for another procession before a committal service in St. George's Chapel. She will be laid to rest with her late husband, Prince Philip, at a private family service.
Royal Dispatch newsletter: Sign up for exclusive insights on the monarchy
U.S. President Joe Biden was among leaders to pay their respects at the queen's coffin on Sunday as thousands of police, hundreds of British troops and an army of officials made final preparations for the funeral.
Biden called Queen Elizabeth II "decent" and "honorable" and "all about service" as he signed the condolence book, saying his heart went out to the royal family.
Mourners started arriving to take their seats about three hours ahead of the ceremony, and Biden entered the Abbey about an hour before it began.
People across Britain paused for a minute of silence at 8 p.m. Sunday in memory of the only monarch most have ever known. At Westminster Hall, the constant stream of mourners paused for 60 seconds as people observed the minute of reflection in deep silence.
In Windsor, rain began to fall as the crowd fell silent for the moment of reflection. Some camped overnight outside the castle in order to reserve the best spots to view the queen's coffin.
Jilly Fitzgerald, who was in Windsor, said there was a sense of community among the mourners as they prepared to wait hours to see procession carrying the queen's coffin.
"It's good to be with all the people who are all feeling the same. It's like a big family because everyone feels that the queen was part of their family," she said.
