I just would love to see what Colin is thinking while the rest of his brothers are beating up Phillip
" I left my sexy wife for this"
" how would Eloise feel if I got myself kidnapped on her honeymoon? Why she so rude to me??"
" this is the most time alone I've had with Penelope in ages and Eloise can't even let me honeymoon in peace"
"wait a minute... Dots connected... Kidnapped Eloise = more Penelope for me"
" if Phillip keeps Eloise, then I won't have to share my wife with her"
" New plan, befriend this Phillip guy, convince him Eloise isn't annoying, bribe him to extend Eloise stay at his house, possibly forever, no, no, Anthony's way is better, force them to marry"
"Argh Pen would have better ideas, Pen is so smart, and witty...and sexy"
" I MISS MY WIFE"

You know, with people mentioning that series Colin could possibly be a virgin or just far less sexually active than our s1 & s2 rakes, (Simon, Anthony & Benedict). This made me wonder about Philip too. Hopefully, the show won’t have him attempting any marital rights with Marina, which from the way she talked down to him, I’m going to guess not. Seriously though, PLEASE NO!!!! So it’s reasonable to believe that it will be even longer since he’s had sex than what was in the book. Because book Philip didn’t cheat on Marina & was against seeking sex with the women in the nearest town because he didn’t like the idea of running into them again. So unless he visited a brothel while he was in London during s1, series Philip could be even more ravenous than book Philip.
Honestly though, pretty tired of the rakes, so COLIN & Philip will be a nice change because we got at least 2 more rakes, Michael & Gareth, not sure about Gregory. Haven’t fully skimmed his book yet.

I was thinking ...
In my opinion they should do Bridgerton like this ...
Season 3 - Colin and Penelope, Francesca marrying her first husband, and Benedict meeting Sophie
But I think they should merge some seasons, because there is no way Netflix will give us all 8 seasons so I think they should ...
Season 4 - Benedict and Sophie, some crumps of other ships
Season 5 - merge Eloise's season with Francesca's and Michael's
Season 6 - merge Hyacinth's story with Gregory's

Bridgerton Spouses Ranked on How Prepared they Were to Join the Bridgerton Family Chaos:
1. Penelope - This girl chronicled the life of this family for a decade. She half lived in their house. She canonically spent actual brain power wondering what it would be like to be part of this family. Nothing any of these assholes can ever pull will surprised her. 10/10 on preparedness right here.
2. Kate - The Pall Mall scene is all the proof you need. She will keep up with anything they throw at her. She saw them all at their most bloodthirsty and still committed. She didn’t know them longest, but she did a lot with the time she had to get ready. 9/10
3. Simon - Known Anthony for 10 years before joining the fray. He knew how many siblings there were, many of their names, and also met Benedict pre-narrative. He didn’t know exactly how much they could be in advance, but once he knew what was what he got the lay of the land real quick and was down to kill it.
4. Michael - Had at least 4 years of full Bridgerton exposure before committing. He had time to know what he was getting in to. He’s a charming SOB and they will all feel it. He and Frannie can always bail to Scotland when overwhelmed, and when they’re with the clan he’s more than capable of navigating the chaos.
5. Gareth - Knew of the family at the very least. It takes him a bit to adjust to just how many people there are and how closely knit everyone is, and he takes time to wrap his head around how much they all like each other, but he at least knew them by Whistledown/reputation before he showed up so not utterly unprepared.
6. Lucy - Again, knows them all by reputation. Is not prepared, but does jump right in on the chaos. The woman has 9 children and names most of them after Bridgertons, that willingness to take on mayhem suggests at least 9/10 adaptability if only about a 4-5/10 for preparedness
7. Sophie - Only knew anything about the family from Whistledown and exactly 8 days of exposure before she and Benedict did a backflip in to married life in the country. Was not prepared. Was thrilled to be there.
8. Philip - Knew nothing. Like seriously and absolutely nothing. He had to think hard about if he knew how many brothers Eloise had and only knew from her letters. The clan descends and his introvert self has no internal monologue apart from Kill Bill sirens. -100000/10 preparedness. Honestly shocked he survived.

listen, i love eloise, but can someone please explain to me why they like philoise and their book. I'm genuinely curious and not trying to judge, I just literally have never seen someone explain why they love philoise and I want to be educated.
i gave her book 1 star because of the abuse stuff and it completely lacked plot. but i genuinely would love to hear other perspectives on it. i feel like im missing something.
pls understand i am just curious, not trying to judge at all.

Had some random thoughts in the shower about the Bridgerton couples lmao. What if they were placed in K-drama tropes?
Anthony would be the brooding CEO chaebol type who'd meet his match in spirited self-made entrepreneur Kate. Sparks and tensions fly as they compete, one-upping each other in terms of business. One night they get stranded together as a storm raged around them. They come to a truce and end up talking about their lives and dreams, falling in each other's arms as the night progresses. They fall in love and get married in the end, merging their companies. A power couple drama with a slow-burn romance.
Artsy Benedict keeps his chaebol status under wraps. He meets Sophie in art college and they have the classic "me and you against the world" romance; a rich guy falling for the poor girl despite everyone's judgments. They later learn Sophie is a long-lost heiress thrown out as a young child by her scheming stepmother to take her inheritance. Sophie gets what is rightfully hers and marries Benedict. A somewhat cheesy melodrama that we all love and need in our lives.
Colin and Penelope are childhood friends who lose contact when Penelope moves away due to her family getting embroiled in a scandal. They reunite in their adult years. They become friends once more, and romance blossoms between them. Things get complicated when Colin learns that Penelope is the brains behind an anonymous hacker his IT company had been hunting all this time. They manage to put everything behind them and collaborate as a dynamic duo instead. Cutesy romance at first but becomes angsty and glorious at the end.
Daphne is a celebrity who gets tainted with internet gossip. She goes into a contract relationship with Simon, an old money chaebol who swore to destroy the family legacy due to daddy issues. They fall in love, but Simon's self-made oath hurts their romance and results in one of the most scandalous celebrity breakups ever. They end up together, with Simon selling off the company and starting his own business. A drama that will make everyone swoon.
Eloise is a rebellious heiress who runs away from her responsibilities. She and Philip had a meet-cute in a foreign country but do not see each other again until years later. They end up living together in the same house due to a mix-up; Eloise signs an ironclad lease around the same time Philip inherits the house due to his brother's sudden demise. Add Philip's new wards (a cute nephew and niece) to the mix. A fun romcom with just the right dash of drama.
Francesca is a good girl from a rich family who accepts her duty and arranged marriage with John, who she has known all her life as a friend. Unfortunately, John dies before they get married, and the arrangement passes on to the next heir, Michael, who she met in their younger years but does not know much about. Michael, on the other hand, fell in love with Francesca at first sight but is disheartened by the arrangement made by their families. He stays away, only to be pulled back into the same arrangement he resented when his cousin died. This could be a sizzling period drama, with lots of pining and angst.
Gregory falls in love at first sight with Hermione and enlists the help of her friend Lucy. Over time his affection turns to Lucy instead, but Lucy is arranged to marry a chaebol who helped her family's ailing company from crashing to the ground. Gregory interrupts the wedding at the last second, revealing that the chaebol's family intends to create a hostile company takeover through marriage to Lucy. He saves the girl and they live happily ever after. This one has rom-com vibes all over, with a splash of action at the end.
Hyacinth is a law student who dreams of becoming a prosecutor. Gareth, her frenemy in law school, is the only remaining son of one of the richest men in the country. His father stripped him of his inheritance due to unknown reasons. They collaborate to find the truth, falling in love with each other during their investigation. They learn the truth of his paternity. Gareth is his uncle's illegitimate son, who left all of his riches in trust for Gareth. His father took over that trust to fund his failing company. Hyacinth files a case for Gareth, and wins. Legal romcom drama? Sign me up.

Every day I get frustrated by how similar criticisms against JoFritz and Philoise are. Like seriously. Also, using "old" as an insult is absolutely ridiculous when talking about men in their 20s/30s. They are in their prime years.
Philip is only 2 years older than Eloise in the books! He's even younger than Daphne!!!! He may be a bit older in the show, but he's still in his 20s.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, and if you think Greta made Fritz younger... news flash, Louis Garrel was 36 at the time. That's Fritz's age in the book! Like, he's the worst Fritz but that's how a 36-year-old man looks.

Adolphus talking to Charlotte in the carriage in the beginning as he’s taking her to England gives major Anthony-Bridgerton’s-big-brother-dealing-with-being-head-of-the-family-has-to-order-his-younger-sister-to-marry vibes.
Eloise’s corset likely won’t be made of whale bone though so she can’t threaten to bounce and impale herself… she’s probably going to try to jump from the moving carriage and have to get married with a broken foot.

I am curious, what role would you like Sophie to have during the raid on Romney Hall?
So I think in the show, if they're going to feature 'My Cottage' then they're gonna have to give us some Benophie.
I think with Phillip/Sophie's shared trauma and the bond between Ben/Eloise, Benophie are a great pair for Philoise to bounce off on dring S5. E.g. I have a really sweet scene between Phillip and Sophie about Bridgertons loving complicated people, and one btwn Benedict and Eloise about marriage/love.
So, in my S5, I would love for Sophie to accompany Benedict and the boys to Romney Hall. I picture Sophie trying to be the calm head of reason.
But ofcourse none of the boys take heed of her cautions and go full throttle. Amongst the chaos, Sophie is desperately trying to calm everyone down...
Until she sees Eloise's black eye.
And Sophie is furious.
Benedict has to hold her back as she tries to knock Phillip while screaming,
"I don't care what your father did to you, you don't hurt my family!!"
"Sophie, darling, I think he got the message."
"Well, I don't mind making sure he has!"
And all the other Bridgerton bros, including Eloise, are just looking at Sophie like 👀.
Because ofcourse we know Sophie has a great right hook and has as much of a protective streak as Anthony-i'm-gonna-duel-my-bf Bridgerton. The rest of the family have yet to learn that.

The spouses are all moronsexuals cause the Bridgerton family are smart together, stupid separately.
Here's the funny thing. They all think that someone else has the family braincell. I mean they can't all be horny idiots right?? right??
Simon, Sophie and Gareth think Francesca is the one who got the brains of the family. Untill they get talking with Michael and nope, she's..she's also a horny idiot.
Penelope and Phillip think Anthony has got to be the one person in the family who holds the braincell together, and then they get talking to Kate and nope, he's out, Anthony is super stupid. certified stupid
Kate, thinks Daphne is the holder of the Bridgerton braincell, Simon is quick to disabuse her of the notion while laughing hysterically.
Lucy and Gareth, think it's Eloise, Phillip lets them live under that delusion, but he is always one "well actually...." away from breaking their bubble
(note: nobody in the family thinks that Benedict, Colin or Hyacinth have ever used the family braincell, it's a general consensus that one of them was the first horny idiot to infect the others.... Lol jokes on them, Violet knows the first cute but Stupid in the family was Edmund)
And that's the tea

The men of Bridgerton support women’s wrongs. That is, frankly, the most important and attractive thing about them.
