I tried out gouache in black paper today, turned out pretty nice when I added the final touch with coloured pencils at the end

I luv your traditional doodles have you ever said what your fave type of paper is? (Cold press, hot press; watercolor, multi media, etc)
thank u! i've yet to explore many different papers
one of the reasons im trying to finish this old sketchbook is because it has super thin smooth paper that I can even easily see pencil drawings through...tried multimedia paper for my gouache paintings and its okay but it still fights me on coverage... the watercolor paper I got is a medium grain but it doesn't give me the effects of watercolor I enjoy/the water gets slurped up immediately/doesnt allow me to push it around much etc ! I've not done enough yet of art requiring special paper (like watercolor) to Know!
