My personal headcanons on which ghosts know that the Captain is gay (as of season 4):

Robin: As of the episode where they try and figure out who Fanny has an affair with, it’s basically canon that he knows. I think he’s known for a while but is smart enough not to mention it.

Julian: Also heavily implied to know by canon. I’m 100% sure he clocked him within a week of being dead but he’s not quite enough of a dick to out anyone.

Kitty: Based on her thinking the Captain could be having an affair with Fanny, I think she doesn’t know. Honestly I don’t think it would even occur to her, I love her but there is not a lot going on up there.

Mary: I also don’t think it would have occurred to her to question it

Pat: He probably has his suspicions being one of the more modern ghosts and close with the Captain but he’s emotionally intelligent enough not to push it.

Fanny: I think she may have realised after the wedding. Being close to the Captain and generally intelligent, I think after getting over her prejudices she would be able to connect the dots. Also smart enough to not say anything.

Thomas: Honestly, I don’t think he pays enough attention to the people around him to notice.

Humphrey: He could go either way in my mind. On one hand, he doesn’t spend a lot of time with the others so there’s a good chance he hasn’t noticed anything but on the other, it could be the case that he saw something when the Captain was alive, like he did with Thomas, and no one thought to ask him.

Alison (not a ghost but still): Based on the group therapy episode, I’m pretty sure she had a good idea of what the Captain was going to say.
