I never hated fans before but oh my god dc fans really love to kick hal and barry into the ground and treating them like irrelevant pieces of shits that don't deserve to be a dc characters
they already suffered enough since dc loves also to treat them like shit and their failed movies don't help anything at all
man being a dc fan sucks and I hate the dc fandom this is probably the most fandom that I don't enjoy on
hal and barry fucking deserves better dc and their fans don't deserve such a good characters
I had to look this up because I dont usually read comics (I really want to tho) but apparently in Hal Jordan And The Green Lantern Corps #28, Hal almost entered the speedforce.
I was wondering if he ever told Barry or Wally or any speedster.... Or anyone for that matter that he almost did?
(You might be asking yourself why im asking a flash fan a GL question? Its because, if he didnt, I want to know how the flashfam would react to that and given the fact that you know the family so well, I feel like youd be giving their reactions justice)
(Cant believe Im saying this but I learned about this through a halbarry fanfic where Hal tells Barry about that and Barry has a mini heart attack)
Hmm, off the top of my head I can't remember Hal telling any speedsters about that or any speedsters talking about that in general. So I don't think Hal has spoken about this to them in a comic.
However, if Hal did tell Barry about this it would be fairly accurate to say that Barry would have a heart attack. So hats off to whoever wrote that fic, that is extremely accurate.
It's actually not unheard of for non-speedsters to go into the speedforce. It's actually so common that there is a mini city inside the speedforce and there are several plants, animals, people and machines stuck in there.
This is because the bolt of lightning that struck Barry wasn't really that unusual. Barry forming a connection with the speedforce and developing superspeed was the unusual part. But there are several documented cases of the speedforce attempting to form a connection, failing, and either exploding/killing everything in the area or sucking everything into the speedforce instead.
(This is like a once every 50 years kinda thing but it adds up when you remember that the speedforce encompasses all of time)
So, yeah. Not super strange to enter the speedforce. The speedforce is always looking to make new connections. The real danger lies in what would have happened to Hal.
Falling into the speedforce as a non-speedster is like falling into the middle of the ocean without knowing how to swim. There's a chance you could find a floatation device or a friendly dolphin to grab onto, but it's an extremely slim chance. The most likely result is death.
Keep in mind that most speedsters don't even survive the speedforce.
(the risk also depends on what 'level' of the speedforce but that's a whole different thing)
And then, even if Hal did miraculously survive, he wouldn't be able to escape without the help of a speedster. Only highly skilled and extremely powerful speedsters with strong lightning rods can escape the tight grip of the speedforce.
Anyone can enter the speedforce, few survive it and only speedsters can leave.

⚠️Warnings⚠️: Sex, Cursing, Forced Contact, Hyperventilating, And Kidnap
Barry is TOTALLY a cuddle monster. He won’t only cuddle you, but would by you mountains of pillows, stuffed animals, chocolate, etc. He won’t ever let you refuse his offer.
Barry is the kind of guy who would use his vibrating hand trick (we saw him do on Damian) and just stop his hand in the middle of this persons chest. It feels extremely painful for the person, but it gets the job done fast. That’s how Barry likes it.
Barry totally baby’s you from the start. Any reaction you have towards him is completely normal, at least he thinks so. He wouldn’t mock you, but if you did do something ‘stupid’ he’d try and talk ‘sense’ into you.
He would probably try and get you to socialize with his Justice League friends. He isn’t really jealous when it comes to them, so as long as you talk to only HIS friends, he doesn’t really care. But if you become scared he’ll try and have the most gentle one of them ( cough, superman, cough) talk to you the most.
Barry totally coddles you, and he’ll rip his heart out to you and bare all of his feelings. Though, he never burdens you with the bad ones. He is super vulnerable and has no shame whatsoever.
Barry totally understands. You’re scared, but, in his mind, you’ll pass the ‘faze’. The only thing he’ll get more worried about is you purposely or accidentally hurting yourself. You mean so much to him, he wouldn’t know what to do with himself if something happened to you.
This is not a game. I repeat, this is not a game. He loves you so much! And to believe that you think of this, of him, as a game, crushes his soul more than anything! You leaving him is the worst thing ever! It is not a game, and you will not make a habit out of it.
He may or may not have killed someone who was ‘getting in the way’ of your ‘relationship’, in front of you. He understands that it scared you, but theirs no harm in that when you may or may not have that part of your memory erased (blame Cyborg).
Barry kind of once you guys to live in a fairytale. Raise a beautiful kid. Fall in love. And have a happy ending. He wants you guys to live like a normal couple. Going to work together (witch strict supervision), shop together, get married, have kids, etc.
Barry would get jealous on very rare occasions. It would take A LOT to get him riled up. This person would have to be touching you while talking to you. And it had to be in a very inappropriate spot. If that’s the case, Barry will steal you away for a ‘quick’ second. He takes you home and makes sure you don’t ever return to that place again. Though, he does give that man a very excruciating death.
As I’ve said before, Barry is a literal cuddle monster. He’ll sit with you on his lap and will not let you leave. He especially gets smiley when you fall asleep on him with about fifty stuffed animals surrounding you two.
When he first meets you, you were probably working together. He probably took a very serious liking to you when you both began to share your love for certain things. And eventually he had asked you on a date and his confessed his love to you.
Barry is one of the softest people on the Justice league, but he doesn’t show physical affection as much as he does towards you. But none the less, he still a big softy in general.
ℕ - ℕ𝕒𝕦𝕘𝕙𝕥𝕪, ℍ𝕠𝕨 𝕎𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕪 ℙ𝕦𝕟𝕚𝕤𝕙 𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕚𝕣 𝔻𝕒𝕣𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘?
If you were being bad he’s probably try and talk ‘sense’ into you. He’s try and convince you that it wouldn’t end pretty if you were to do something irreversible. If you still didn’t listen he’d probably knock you out and tie you to the bed/chair till he can trust you more.
Since he doesn’t really take away your freedom, he expects you to give him the one thing he wants. Attention and affection. Personal space is no longer a thing in his world, and you will HAVE to live like that.
Barry isn’t really patient. He wants you to love him sooner than later, so he feels like in order to get there, he needs to MAKE you love him in every shape, way, and form.
If you die, Barry defiantly can bring you back. He’s a member of the Justice League and has all the ties to bring you back. If you escape, I promise you will not get far. With Barry’s super speed you couldn’t get away from him, like ever.
Barry deeply wants to think that what he’s doing is right, but he knows that it’s not. He did few guilty when you first woke up and started hyperventilating because of how scared you were. Though, he tried to explain to you that this is why you need him. To make sure you’re cared for. So, he ultimately wouldn’t let you go.
After Barry lost his mother, he swore that he wouldn’t let his future wife leave him. Sure, you two weren’t married, but Barry was certain that you too were destined to marry and spend the rest of your life together.
If you were to scream at him, he’d come over to you and bury your head into his chest to muffle your noises. You shouldn’t have to scream at him just to show how upset you are. If you cry he’ll always cuddle you and sit you on his lap gently bouncing you up and down as well as rocking you back and forth. If you isolate yourself he’ll drag you outside of your room and cuddle you and apologize till you tell him why you’re hiding yourself away.
Barry super speed makes you unable to escape him. Unless you kill him, which I doubt you would do. Though, he can also use his speed as a good thing. If you two have sex together he can make his dick and/or fingers vibrate. He can also bring you whatever you want, whenever you want!
As I’ve said before, Barry’s speed makes it impossible to escape him. The only true way you can get away from him is killing him fast. Maybe while his back is turn or while he’s sleeping.
Barry is literally your biggest fan. He gets really awkward when it comes to praise, but he would literally do anything for you. He thinks of himself as hero, obviously, and he expects you to be as clingy to him as he is to you.
Barry defiantly could snap, but he has enough self-control to give you time till he takes you. I’d say after three months he’ll convince you to move in with him, and if you refuse he’ll just take you later that night.
ℤ - ℤ𝕖𝕟𝕚𝕥𝕙, 𝕎𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕪 𝔼𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝔹𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕜 𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕚𝕣 𝔻𝕒𝕣𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘?
He would never break you. If he accidentally broke you, expect to wake up with no memory’s and entirely different life.
The closest thing I have gotten to an actual Central City was mostly centered around Portland, Oregon where the show was shot or in Kansas City, Missouri where it seems like it was indicated in the comics (feel free to correct me here). I went online on websites for the occupations of both Iris and Barry’s jobs along with some of their friends and family as well. We don’t know how much revenue Fake Wells (Eobard Thawne) has made off the real Wells life so it would be a safe bet that he is some multi-millionaire.
No, I will not be including Chuck or Allegra’s salaries into this because something in my suspicions is saying that Barry wouldn’t make them help out with the cost, especially with them being recently new members of Team Flash. Another thing, he would also let Cisco transfer out of paying once he started working for ARGUS. Also, I am not going to include Ronnie, Frost, or Blaine in this.
Now this is out of the way we can start looking at how much they would’ve made yearly and averagely. We are going to be starting Oregon, Missouri, then other parties.
Portland, Oregon salaries:
Barry > 42,000 - 84,000/yearly
job: Crime Scene Investigator
63,000 average
Iris > 49,000 - 77,000/yearly

Caitlin > 55,000 - 140,000/yearly
Biomedical Engineer (Bio-engineer)
97,500 average
Cisco > 95,000 - 150,000/yearly

122,500 average
Cecile > 150,000 - 240,000/yearly
job: District Attorney/Lawyer
195,000 average
Joe > 82,000 - 200,000/yearly
previous job: Detective/Police Captain
141,000 average
TOTAL: $97,417
Kansas City, Missouri salaries:
Barry > 42,000 - 78,000/yearly
job: Crime Scene Investigator
58,500 average
Iris > 52,000 - 94,000/yearly

job: District Attorney/Lawyer
180,000 average
Joe > 66,000 - 190,000/yearly
previous job: Detective/Police Captain
92,500 average
TOTAL: $103,500
Averages from both salaries:
Barry > $60,750
Iris > $68,000
Caitlin > $100,000
Cisco > $118,500
Cecile > $187,500
Joe > $116,750
Total > $100,458
Other party members:
Oliver Queen, Ray Palmer, possible city funds (for Barry even though it’s highly unlikely), Eobard’s estate that he left to Barry once he “died” as Harrison Wells.
In season 9 episode 2 reveals that Caitlin Snow is dead
Khionne/Snow has the physical body of her but no memories knowledge etc of Caitlin or even Frost as she didn’t know anybody and had no ice powers or medical knowledge
Meaning Caitlin is effectively dead
The thing is partly due to the nature of the episode of trying to bring her back they didn't grieve this character of 9+ years
And part of it, besides the writing and that the actress wasn't leaving or anything like that
Is that I think the technicality is that this is just Caitlin 2.0/3.0
As they say, this is basically what her father wanted in his initial experiment to make a Caitlin 2.0 but he ended up with basically two daughters (Caitlin and Frost) instead
So in a way, Caitlin is Khionne just without the memories, and such as her body is still there
Which brings up the question of if someone loses their memories are they still them? As in if you lose your memories but you don’t know your parent's siblings' friends' skills likes dislikes etc and you don’t get them back are you still you?
As before they made the split Caitlin and Frost were kind of like new Caitlin
And when Frost was in control for a while it was treated as Caitlin before they got more understanding of the two different personalities
But again I think the problem is how the characters reacted
Caitlin can be killed unceremoniously that's not the main problem (still a problem)
But the characters reacting the way they did was weird, like when it was time to vote a majority picked Frost over Caitlin when this should have been a Caitlin death episode
And when they decided to keep Khionne it’s not like they finally grieved Caitlin they went partying
Again they wrote it in a way that it’s less Caitlin is dying and more this Caitlin 2.0 but it just never felt right to me (and from what I see online others as well)
And when you add Hartley’s and Red Deaths' plot it never felt real
Granted it’s episode 2 they can make this feel right as the story goes on
Like people are already theorizing they’ll bring Caitlin back somehow which is why they didn’t treat it as a permanent goodbye as she might come back
And I think narratively there is something here
Over the whole show, Caitlin has been this tragic character, dead fiancé twice, evil boyfriend, jerk boyfriends, dad died, twin sister died, never really found love, etc she was hurting the whole show then finally found love in her “new” sister but when her sister dies she spirals
So when this character essentially decides to kill herself to bring back someone she loves or in this case to give a new one a chance to be happy it’s a sad happy ending as the tragic character can finally rest and this new character can have joy that she couldn’t
The thing is the characters didn’t see Caitlin as a tragic character
Chester and Allegra are newer and didn’t experience most of it and were closer to Frost in all honesty
Similar with Cecile
Iris despite stuff like Caitlin being her maid of honor weren’t like best friends
But Barry (and Joe) knew her story and they didn’t really see her as a tragic character if anything outside of the recent death of Frost they kinda saw her story as normal stuff for the most part still sad but it’s not like they saw Caitlin as this character that was struggling or stuff like that the whole show
This is where I think the disconnect is, it seems the audience cared and reacted more appropriately than the characters as we’ve known her for 9 seasons, whereas Chester Allegra Cecile Mark didn’t and Iris and she wasn’t the closest to, and so on
They treated her as if she was on the same level as Allegra for example but to us, she’s basically on the same level as Barry and Iris
I understand that Caitlin isn’t dead the same way Frost died as Caitlin technically transformed into Khionne but when they constantly use the word dead and the machine hurt Khionne it’s hard to see it differently
They can “fix” it with a funeral or memorial or something but yeah just felt odd to think Caitlin’s dead and when they were trying to bring her back most wanted her sister more and when neither happens they didn’t take time to grieve her properly and even went partying afterward
I don't know I'm just confused and my thoughts are incoherent right now
Given that most of the lantern emotional spectrum stuff as assigned in Blackest Night are "emotion everyone feels" or "generic heroic traits", it's pretty easy to construct an argument that whichever character should be whichever lantern color you want.
... thought mostly spurned on by the logic for Barry Allen being the Blue Lantern notes in the back of the book
