#my dad deliberately pronounces words weirdly because of various people he knew who would say things weird #he has a whole sub-language of pronouncing Ps as Fs and Bs + some other letter substitutions #he'll say popcorn as ah-fubKARN and pineapple as finupple #if he's fixing to do something he's fits'na do it #pizza is fitsa and pickles are figgles #plain old is phlum ol' #all these and more weird pronunciations have snuck their way into my and my siblings' vocabularies #the frequency of which I have to stop myself from using them when speaking to my coworkers is unreal #my family

honestly you all are so annoying because motherhood IS interesting but fandom people are simultaneously obsessed with deciding that every woman has motherly qualities and completely disinterested in actually exploring motherhood as a role that informs a character. I do think exploring a character being a mother can be wildly interesting if they are canonically one, but because of misogyny, people just view motherhood as a totally unremarkable naturalized state that all women must inhabit!

Both Eddie and HR made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives to save the day, whose sacrifice hit you the hardest?

#H.R. #I was relieved that Iris made it but oh GOD the reveal that H.R. had switched places with her made me SOB #I still tear up a little just thinking about it #I kind of always had this idea that Eddie would go evil eventually so I couldn't get properly attached to him the first time around #but I did get attached to H.R. and Savitar telling him that he lived gave me a false sense of security #I also just...wasn't expecting him to do something so big and heroic #he was the comic relief for so much of the season that this twist caught me completely off guard #Eddie caught me completely off guard too but it was more shocking than sad for me at least the first time I saw it #I do get sadder about Eddie's death when rewatching season 1 but it doesn't devastate me quite like H.R.'s does #poll
