Anti-Israel folks often say that Zionists who think that a one-state solution will result in Palestinians oppressing Jews are telling on themselves because one side oppressing the other is the only way they can imagine things to work out. Personally I think it’s actually more based on the 70-year negation of Jewish self-identity, but that’s me.

Anyways, my actual point is that when anti-Israel folks object to elements of Israeli culture which have their influence in the Middle East and North Africa (food, music, slang, superstitions, that sort of thing) being categorized as “Israeli” because they claim it means that Jews are claiming exclusive ownership of these cultural elements, they’re telling on themselves.
