Into the Owl's Nest (Preview)

Damian's eyes snapped open and he jolted up in bed, gasping for air as if he had been drowning. His skin was clammy and his heart raced in his chest. As his senses returned, the cold, musty scent of damp stone and earth filled his nostrils. He strained to see in the darkness, but could only make out the faint outline of a room surrounding him. The distant sound of rushing water echoed through the space, causing a shiver to run down his spine. With a sinking feeling in his gut, Damian realized that he must be deep underground, and he realized where he must be. This was the Owl’s Nest.

The faint clicking of heels echoed on the stone ground, growing closer with each step. He strained his eyes against the darkness as he searched for an escape. Too late. The door creaked open and a woman glided in, her form encased in a skin-tight nylon suit, feathers adorned the top of her cape. Her blonde hair was pulled back tightly, emphasizing her fierce features, while a mask obscured her eyes. Damian maintained a stoic expression as she spoke, her words dripping with disdain, "so, you must be Talia's brat," she spat. Her eyes roamed over his form, obscured by the mask she wore. The coldness in her voice matched the chill in the air, sending shivers down his spine. Her eyes narrowed behind the intricate mask, scanning him from head to toe with a mixture of curiosity and contempt. The silence between them was thick with tension but Damian maintained his composure.

When he did not speak she continued, “your father wishes to see you.” Damian's muscles tensed at the mention of his father but he remained still, not daring to give her any satisfaction. Not even when she glided across the room, her movements fluid like a predator stalking its prey did he move to get up from the bed. With a swift motion, she pulled him up by his arm, her long nails digging into his flesh. He gritted his teeth against the pain, knowing better than to show weakness. She dragged him along, her grip unrelenting, until they reached a large open space. A wall was lined with computers and equipment, and there, behind the glow of computer screens, sat a man clad in all back. The Owlman.

The man slowly turned to face him, his expression unreadable. "I hope you don't mind," he began in a smooth, almost mocking tone, "your mother and I decided it would be best if I took custody of you." Damian felt a surge of anger rise up in the pit of his stomach, a rage that was only met by the man's cruel smile.

"You killed my mother," Damian growled through gritted teeth, his hands clenched into fists at his sides.

“I suppose that’s true,” he shrugged carelessly, “it pained me to do so, I loved her-”

"Obsession is not love," Damian spat out bitterly, his control slipping as memories from last night flooded back. "That's not love...and when you couldn't have her..." His voice trailed off, trembling, as tears threatened to spill from his eyes. Damian had loved his mother more than anything, and this man had taken her away from him without a second thought.

The man's eyes hardened and for a moment, Damian could see the darkness lurking behind them, "let it be a lesson to you then," he sneered. "You may share my blood, but if I have no use for you, you can join her."

Damian was smart enough to know when someone was bluffing, and this man was not, he was well aware that this man would snuff him out the moment he stepped out of line. Refusing to show any weakness, Damian stood tall and pushed aside his emotions. "What use do you have for me then, father?" he asked, maintaining a calm and collected façade despite the turmoil within.

His features twisted into a smirk, “I’m glad you asked,” he stood from his chair to tower over the boy, “As you may or may not be aware, Ultraman was our esteemed leader until his most recent and unfortunate demise. His twisted obsession with his other selves was finally his downfall. Ironic.” The glint of joy in his eyes betrayed his words. “There are a few would be successors but of course I have my preference.”

Owlman paused as if waiting for Damian to ask a question but Damian knew there was only an answer he sought. And Damian was nothing, if not adaptable. “Naturally, it should be you, father," he replied smoothly. He’d play along for now, he’d tell the crazed man whatever assurances he needed to hear. Afterall, he was somewhere underground surrounded by enemies, and if he hoped for any chance of survival, he’d have to be smart about it.

“Smart boy,” he scoffed, then continued, “Ultraman leaves behind his wife and son, Lois has already begun pushing for Jor-El to claim his father’s seat but he is just a child. Barely 19. He needs…” he paused again as if searching for the right words, “a friend more than a title.”

Damian raised an eyebrow in question, “you wish me to befriend him?”

“Sure…and who knows what may happen once you two become close.” Owlman shrugged, a wicked smirk spread across his features, contorting them into a menacing expression.

Damian racked his brain for meaning. Did his father want him close to Jor-El to distract him, to manipulate him, or to kill him? Did his father even care as long as he could take power? Finally, Damian broke the silence with a slow, measured voice. “I can only assume you have some means for me to arrange a meeting with him?”

“Of course,” he motioned toward the blonde woman who had been lurking in the corner. “Beth, please ensure that Damian is presentable for this evening's introduction to the rest of the Syndicate. Make him look…enticing.”

Damian suddenly became aware of another possibility.

I just had the thought about how often Shaggy Rogers gets stuff from his incredibly diverse family, his got a Knight from Arthur's roundtable in his bloodline, Egyptian royalty, a nobel with a werewolf curse(scooby doo and scrappy doo show), the mansion from the Boo Brothers etc. What if, he ended up Inheriting a dang Miracle Box. Just, imagine if he ended up going to Paris after that because, "aw man, those hero are probably, like, kids! They could use some help, right gang?" So he and mystery Inc go to Paris, with their own Miracle Box, basically sibling adopt the Heroes, and help stop Hawkmoth, thwarting his attempts to get the other miraculous, so we'd go into the later season without the ugly Monarch suit. We'd have Daphne and Velma get the School inspected, because lets be honest, They should really either check their cameras(if they even have any), and have proper background checks on students, plus Marinette would've needed a Hearing before they'd even attempt to Expel her. The principal would probably be arrested for stealing school funds for his Owlman stuff.

"That Really Happened?!" DC Comics Tournament Entry #23

Wally Mobius Manhattan West

What Happened?

Alright. So. The Mobius Chair. In post-Flashpoint continuity, the Mobius Chair wasn't made by Metron, but by Mobius the Anti-Monitor (which I have beef with, but will set aside for the time being). So it was already all powerful. Then Metron took it across the multiverse in his pursuit of knowledge, and the chair gained basically all the information that's ever existed in past, present and future, as well as in realities that didn't end up coming to exist. Then one day when some other shit was going down, Wonder Woman lasso'd Metron out of the chair and Batman took it for a while. Then finally Metron got it back and made a deal with Owlman on the moon to give it to him. So at this points it's changed hands a number of times, and all the while has absorbed a shitton of knowledge in the process. Next thing you know, Metron and Owlman are steaming piles of dust. The End. Or is it?

Cut to everyone's favorite, Heroes in Crisis. We're not going to get into all that because it's not the point here, but it matters because it's why Wally was in jail at the start of Flash Forward and was at a pretty low point in his life. But not to worry, the Mobius Chair told (?) Tempus Fuginaut to do some shenanigans to convince Wally to sit on it (and also save his family and this and that, you know how it is). Though reluctant, Wally does decide to sit on the chair. When this happens, he is imbued with ALL the knowledge the chair has absorbed. So like, that's a lot right? Yeah. But what we weren't shown because it was implied, is that Dr. Manhattan was the one who took the chair on the moon, so not only does Wally get everything the chair already had, but ALSO Dr Manhattans powers. Wally immediately becomes blue and starts sitting like the biggest douche in history because I guess that's just what the chair does to people lmao. And he becomes not only the fastest man alive, but also the most knowledgeable and arguably most powerful. He literally fixes the multiverse.

And then it's like "To be continued in Generation Zero" which didn't even get put out because free comic book day got all hecked up due to Covid. But it did get printed in the Flash Forward trade paperback, and idk the Batman Who Laughs shows up, and tbh that's about where I lose steam on this whole thing.

BUT the point is... even though continuity got kind of rewritten, Wally in his infinite ability to transcend reboots, has been hinted at (or maybe even outright said) that he still retains the Mobius Chair/Dr Manhattan knowledge in current times. So that's pretty darn fascinating.

Can you tell me something about Talon Dick? Anything really, just want to know more about him and I love to read your posts where you talk about DC characters and whatnot

That's such a heartwarming compliment anon, thank you ♥ I don't have all that many info about Talon Dick Grayson (and as far as I can see there isn't much about him on the internet in general), but I'll do my best to let you on what little I know about him.

So Talon is, as you might know, a name used by many characters in the DC universe. Dick is by no means the only one. The iterations that interest us in this case are the Talon of the Court of Owls, an undead assassin who can be pulled in and out of hibernation as it suits their masters, and mainly Talon as in Owlman's sidekick.

But who actually is Owlman? In the DC Omniverse there's multiple "Earths" (in the sense that there are multiple dimensions, and so multiple versions of Earth as we know it), and one of these is known as Earth 3. What's special about it is that most of what we know about the DC Characters is reversed - the Justice League is instead the Crime Syndicate, a group of superpowered individuals who got together and villainously rule over the world; Jim Gordon is a mafia boss instead of a cop; the Joker (here he´s called Jokester I believe) is still mental but he devoted his life to fight crime, and instead of Bruce Wayne, who survived that fateful night in Crime Alley was the eldest son of Thomas and Martha Wayne, aka Thomas Wayne Jr. Now as far as I understood, there are two versions of the Talon Dick Grayson who operated as Owlman's sidekick.

pre-crisis Owlman had a sidekick of unknown name, but they were killed by Jokester. So Thomas recruited Dick who was already a criminal, gave him the identity of Talon, and they worked together for a time as a criminal lord and his henchman. Only at some point Dick fell in love with Jokester's daughter and they both had to run away, ending up joining the Teen Titans. I'm not sure what happened to both of them after that.

post-crisis This one is my favorite version. Thomas, being the deeply fucked up individual that he is, went one night at the circus and saw how good this Grayson kid was at swinging the trapeze and flying like a little bird. He decided that he wanted him for himself, and so the next time the Flying Graysons performed Thomas rigged their equipment, causing them to fall to their deaths so that he could step in, and adopt a devastated and orphaned young Dick. Dick went on to be Thomas' loyal shadow and in the following years he helped Owlman build his empire of crime. Only at some point and for unknown reasons (I like to think it's because he thought Talon entirely belonged to him at that point) Thomas revealed to Dick to be the murderer of his parents. It backfired and caused Dick to run away, but he was captured and then killed by Jokester (who was seeking revenge for the death of his partner at the hands of Owlman), and gruesomely chopped up and sent piece by piece to Thomas.

Prime Earth Or post reboot if you will, keeps the post-crisis backstory for Talon Dick Grayson as far as I understood. If you read Forever Evil (which I recommend - everyone and their mom acts completely out of character but it's such a fun read), you'll know that Owlman has taken quite the special interest in a captive Dick Grayson. He's lost his Talon (after making the mistake of revealing to be his parents´ murderer), and now he's decided that Nightwing!Dick will make for a suitable substitute. Dick is obviously not thrilled about it, and the interesting(?) part is how Owlman's attempted manipulation and physical violence is mirrored by how Bruce himself is violent and extremely manipulative with Dick, soon after the whole issue with the Crime Syndicate is solved, when he needs to force/convince him to do what Bruce wants him to do.

When it comes to the Court of Owls, keep in mind that Scott Snyder (who's the one who came up with the whole thing) was mainly inspired by Earth 3, Owlman and Talon Dick Grayson. Indeed the Gray Son Of Gotham and Lincoln March, who might or might not actually have been Thomas Wayne Jr, were conceptually reminiscent to their Earth 3 namesakes. Dick was supposed to become a Talon - as mentioned before, an undead assassin used by the Court of Owls whenever they needed him - but he obviously never did. Details on that are another story for another post :)

This is more or less all I know. Everything else is my personal headcanon, like how Owlman on Earth 3 is actually the Grandmaster of the Court of Owls and uses his Talon as a weapon to do his bidding, and doesn't really perceive him as a sidekick or anything like that. They have a verily abusive relationship where Dick is not allowed to directly interact with anyone save for Thomas and Alfred (unless it's a victim Talon has been sent to threaten, torture or kill), and he's generally treated in between a prized possession and a powerful but ultimately disposable weapon. There's a lot of stockholm/lima syndrome and brainwashing involved, and lots of angst. Yep, I'm writing a fic about it. Yep, there's Sladick in there too. I guess I can't help myself lol.

Role Reversal AU

Basically, the heroes are villains and the villains are heroes or civilians.

There's a lot of information that I packed into this post.

Beings that aren't included in the swap are: Captain Marvel/Shazam/Champion Teth/Black Adam Captain N*zi (because fuck no is any n*zi going to be anything but evil. No Marvel mistakes with this au.) The Seven Deadly Enemies of Man Literally all of the villains trapped on/in the Rock of Eternity Orange Lantern The Blue Lanterns The Indigo Lanterns White and Black Lanterns Demons maybe Constantine? what do you guys think? Some Heroes: Amity Park - Plasmius, Technus, Skulker, GIW, Maddie & Jack Gotham - Joker, Two-Face, Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Ra's Al Ghul (the LOA is more like a secret watcher's society but more infighting in a friendly way) Metropolis - Lex Luthor, Cyborg Superman, Metallo, Parasite London - Cheetah, Giganta, Circe(part-time) Justice League (leaders) - Talia Al Ghul, Lex, Professor Zoom, Cheetah, Star Sapphire (Carol Ferris), Black Manta, Cyborgirl Justice League (general) - Poison Ivy, Gorilla Grodd, Captain Marvel, Red Lantern(Guy Gardner), etc.

Most villains who don't commit any violent crime are simply civilians in this au. (ex: Catwoman, Box Ghost, or Kite Man) Some villains - like Sivanna - become civilians while their family members become villains.

Some background info:

Danny dies and it pisses him off that his parents don't notice. Sam and Tucker agree and they become menaces to Amity Park. Maddie and Jack notice and decide that someone needs to reign in the troublemakers, which makes things worse. Then, the ghosts start noticing and they start sending a ghost to take care of the rogue ghost. Eventually, they find that Skulker and Technus are best suited to deal with the trio. Wolf and Cujo join the trio. Plasmius joins Skulker and Technus and they start trying to clone Danny to try to create an equal to fight against him. The clones are mostly viable because of the help of Technus and the Fentons. Team Phantom kill the clones except for Dani, who joins them. Jazz, while not evil, isn't good either. She just wants to prevent her brother from killing their parents. Because all the good guys are much less concerned with keeping civilians safe, there are a few casualties, which includes Jazz. Jazz notices that Team Phantom might be right about her parents, so she leaves Amity and eventually teams up with Zatanna. TLDR; Danny's mad at his parents and makes Team Phantom to cause chaos around Amity Park. Jazz leaves after she dies and joins Zatanna.

Zatanna (and her father) were low level thieves that were performing as stage magicians before Nabu's helmet turned Giovanni into Dr Fate. Zatanna became enraged at how he wouldn't give her father back and started murdering and stealing other magic user's powers and tomes in hopes of one day returning her father to her. After she found Jazz, who offered to help remove the helmet, she stopped murdering as many people. The two often help Klarion get in the way of Nabu's plans to get rid of anything he perceives as chaotic. While they happen to befriend Klarion, they never stop stealing.

Bruce becomes Owlman and is in charge of the Court of Owls. Tim, Dick, and Jason become Talons. Alfred is known as the Executioner. Barbara is a jewel thief until she loses the ability to walk thanks to falling off a roof while being chased by Joker. After, she becomes a cyber security threat that constantly steals, releases criminals from jail, and hacks into whatever tech the heroes use. Kate becomes a mob boss. Signal starts out stealing, but accidentally turns into a small time mob boss that works on the opposite side of the city. Commissioner Gordon is a corrupt cop who is firmly in Bruce's pocket. He sometimes fills in for Bruce during CoO meetings when Lucius can't. Cass is an assassin called Orphan that inspires more fear than (canon) Deathstroke. Steph got annoyed by how often her dad (cluemaster) was out of the house and became Spoiler - a villain similar to (canon) Riddler. Selena, while she's a civilian, also happens to be Bruce's street level informant.

Clark, while still having been raised by Martha and John Kent and becoming Superman, decides that being a hero is rather boring. While ruling the world sounds intriguing, he's seen many other villains that are just as competent as he is that want to rule. So he decides that he wants to be a complete (rather dark) nuisance. He ruins buildings by tagging them with his heat vision, freezes major water sources, cloned Lex and himself (technically it's a test tube baby but whatever) once, finds ways to steal everyone's stashes of kryptonite, and sometimes murders people. Kon or Conner lives with Lex part time and has two loving parents, both of which don't understand why he enjoys randomly jumping into their battles and fighting them both (causing as much property damage as possible). Lois helps keep criminal activity out of the papers and clocks Clark as Superman right away. She regularly publishes smear campaigns against the heroes and paints Superman in good light. Kara and her clone - Powergirl - regularly fight against Parasite and Cyborg Superman who constantly thwart their plans to take over the world (they're taking Lex's route).

Green Lanterns are like corrupt cops whose mission is to exert their will over others. Hal kills his dad's previous employer while Sinestro tries to stop him. Sinestro creates the Sinestro Corps and is much more like "our and others' fears fuel us and drive us to be able to save people" rather than "fear is true power and should be used as a way to control people". When Parallax takes over Hal, they become the ultimate hero but over time Parallax starts to become corrupted by his willpower and Specter jumps in to keep Parallax from becoming the ultimate evil. After a while Parallax decides that Sinestro is a much better host and both him and Specter leave Hal, who decides to take a long break doing petty crime before breaking the Green Lanterns out of prison. Carol, in the beginning, stops Hal and other Green Lanterns from committing crimes but eventually stops and focuses mostly on taking care of her business and the Star Sapphires. The Green Lantern's main enemies are the Yellow Lanterns, Red Lanterns, and the Manhunters. Blue Lanterns tend to avoid the Green Lanterns and work with the Manhunters.

Barry is super cruel and Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash or Professor Zoom) came from the future to prevent him from destroying everything. Barry's backstory is either he killed his mom and pinned it on his dad, or he ran away from home a few times and his parents died while trying to find him. Thawne is very careful about avoiding Barry while he's a civilian, but is aware that he needs to be close in order to prevent Barry from destroying the timeline or murdering everyone.

Diana has plans on taking over the world of man and eradicating the men while leaving the women in order to create a perfect world for women. Cheetah, Giganta, and (to a lesser extent) Cerce understand that men are needed just as much as women are in order for the world to continue on.

Synopsis

In the city of Bludhaven, Nightwing crosses paths with a runaway teenage girl named Mary Turner. She is being hunted by a masked villain from Gotham City called Owlman. The vigilante must protect Mary from becoming a pawn of the Court of Owls.

Characters

Richard "Dick" Grayson/Nightwing - A former Robin, sidekick to Batman. He was the founder of the Teen Titans but left when he turned eighteen. Since then, he became Nightwing and acted as the main hero of Bludhaven for years.

Koriand'r/Starfire - Dick Grayson's fiancée and former teammate on the Teen Titans. She is a Tamaranian who escaped enslavement to Earth. Her heritage has given her fiery powers.

Mary Turner/Strix - Mary was a normal girl who lived during the Cold War. At a young age, a doctor secretly working for the Court of Owls determined she was a good candidate for the Talon program. At age six, she was kidnapped to make sure she had no attachment to the outside world. For ten years, she was subjected to procedures to make her fit to be a Talon and then she was frozen in a cryogenic chamber. In the present, she runs away to find freedom.

Lincoln March/Owlman - The head of Wayne Electronics who is secretly an agent of the Court of Owls. He wears a high-tech suit of armor that makes him invulnerable to most weapons and her can even fly.

Other Information

The Court of Owls was chosen to be the antagonist of Nightwing in this universe because of the Grayson family's ties to the Court in the comic books.

although you cant actually heard anything, you can still felt Nightwing.

gentle, soft but powerful.

he took care himself first before reply Bruce (and this is super important in ANY relationship)

he knows Bruce, Bruce's lie didnt work to him

and he didnt force Bruce, just let him tell the turth till he is ready.

he knows, he cares, he waits, he listens, finally, he cheers his old man up

he was saved by the bat, and now he saves him back.

Bruce seem saved the circus boy, actually he saved the helpless boy who lose his parents in the alley years ago also.

While he saved these two boys, he gave himself a safety net.

some said Bruce and Dick are yin and yang, I think Dick is Bruce' s inner child more.

Yin and yang rely or against each other to create balance, such as darkness and brightness, batman and superman, owlman and batman.

And inner child supports a man*.

if batfamily was coverrd by darkness, Dick is the moonlight, and which behind moonlight is always the sunshine.

plus, i think Jason and Dick are more suit yin yang than Bruce and Dick.

How does one sue a vigilante for copyright infringement when your organization is supposed to be secret? This is inspired by a fun au @adriaticmidnight and I have where Thomas and Martha Wayne were invited to join the court of owls and they decide that they love their aesthetic and desire to make Gotham better so they steal it and become the vigilantes Owlman and Owlwoman.

It is still a baby au but these are the few headcanons that we've come up for it.

Thomas and Martha Wayne are dramatic as hell and have fully committed to the bit.

It is unclear if Martha and Thomas are actually part of the Court of Owls. They never gave them a clear yes or no they just showed up to the next meeting in their Owlman and Owlwoman suits.

No one know how or where they got their suits but they refuse to respond to anything other than Owlman and Owlwoman when they wear them.

They have taken notes on the architecture of the secret Court of Owls hideouts and modeled their Owlcave off of it.

Eventually they bring Bruce along and he goes by Owlet.

When the three of them are together in costume they introduce themselves as the Court of Owls which makes the original Court of Owls very angry.

The Court of Owls tried to get them killed but they are Owlman and Owlwoman now and they cannot be stopped.

They hear talk of the court taking in Dick Grayson and making him a talon. So the Waynes adopt him and he takes on the vigilante name Talon.

Evil!Young Justice 98: The Juvelines (a concept)

I haven’t exactly read Young Justice 2019 yet, but I always thought the idea of them fighting against their evil counterparts from an alternate dimension was entertaining. I’m thinking of making some redesigns of their evil counterparts but with the YJ98 gang instead.

It would also take place in Earth-3 where the evil Justice League (known as The Crime Syndicate) exists. This version of Young Justice would be called “The Juveniles”. Other names I had in mind was the Young Juveniles, Young Syndicate or Teen Tyranny but for the last one, it felt more in tune with an evil version of the Teen Titans/Titans who in this universe are called “Tyrants”.

Right now I have their alter egos somewhat figured out:

Kon-El = Jon-Lex/Jon Lane Luther (Supremo): I was debating on the name Ultraboy since evil!Superman in Earth-3 was called Ultraman, but I thought Supremo sounded much cooler. Also idk how Kryptonian names work. I didn’t like the name Luther-El from YJ!2019’s version of evil!Kon so I decided to name him after Kon’s New52 counterpart. Apparently New52!Kon was called Jon Lane Kent so I decided to mix the two names together so it wouldn’t confuse with Jon Samuel Kent. I envision Jon-Lex/Supremo with a costume and design similar to New52!Kon, tho I’m debating giving him a mohawk instead of that tame white boy haircut New52!Kon had.

Tim Drake = Tim Jackson (Draken): Basically New52!Tim but more evil and with a dragon themed costume design inspired by his YJ!2019 brown suit but more cooler looking. I was debating on calling him Heron instead since it sounded just as cool (Owlman and Heron vs Batman and Robin) but I wanted something other than a bird themed alias. I was thinking of giving him a spear or a long mace to contrast the bo-staff. ((I’ll save the Heron concept for another time))

Bart Allen = Bar Torr (Instance or Altros): New52!Bart but with inverted color scheme for his suit. (I know I’m getting most of my insp. from New 52) I’m thinking of giving him a blue color scheme so as not to confuse him with Inertia. Also maybe give him ginger/red hair too. I know his alias is silly but out of all the synonyms for Impulse, Instance clicked the most. The alias, Altros, is a close second (named after Altros Prime where Bar Torr in the New 52 came from). My other option was calling him Dasher but that didn’t appeal to me as much and YJ!2019 evil version had the alias Speed Zone which I thought was kinda lame.

Cassie Sandsmark = Cassidy Sandsmark (Amaxon Thunder): I thought YJ!2019’s version of evil Cassie was the most appealing in concept compared to the others. I actually liked the alias Amaxon Thunder though her design looked like just a mini Wonder Woman. I’m thinking of giving her a suit similar to her New52 design but less revealing. For her hair, I’ll either keep it black like the 2019 version or make it dirty blond.

Cissie King-Jones = Suzy Ann Jones (Bowstringer): I’m still brainstorming what this evil!Cissie would look like. I’m thinking of giving her a green color scheme, similar to Artemis’s design in YJA, with a sporty double dutch braid. As for her name, it derives from her first name “Suzanne”. For the alias “Bowstringer” I read that Cissie’s father was nicknamed “Bowstring”. In this dimension, Evil!Cissie’s/Suzy’s father is alive instead of her mother and Suzy takes more after him.

Greta Hayes = Gretel Hayes (Clandestine): I’m thinking of making this version of Greta a demonic, vengeful ghost. Gretel would either have an even paler color scheme with a cooler tint or a darker color scheme that resembles a shadow ghost. I’ll have to use horror movie ghosts references for this design, though I want her to look eerie instead of downright terrifying (idk how I’m gonna achieve that😅)

Anita Fite = Iwana Fite (Imperatrix) I have a vague idea of how I want evil!Anita to look like. I’m thinking of giving her a silver halo crown that obscures her eyes with a royal blue color scheme. The alias “Imperatrix” is a synonym for empress, and Empress vs Imperatrix sounds so badass.

Slobo = ? : Unfortunately, I couldn’t think of an evil version of Slobo. Technically, Slobo is just a mini clone of Lobo who’s an anti hero/villain, so what I was thinking was having Slobo be the one to encounter evil!Young Justice/The Juveniles from a dimension traveling mishap, with Young Justice having to rescue him from their evil selves or smthing like that

These concepts are subject to change once I actually get to drawing them tho.

NEBRASKA- Metal-Winged Demon

On a late evening in 1956 “Mr. Hanks” (a pseudonym used by the witness to protect his identity) was traveling down a rural lane near Falls City, Nebraska when a being out of a hypnogogic hallucination sailed over his head. The creature, so Mr. Hanks claimed, was held aloft by fifteen-foot-long metallic wings covered in multicolored lights. These wings remained rigid, yet the being appeared to somehow be guiding its flight with a control panel strapped to its chest. One might naturally conclude that this apparition was just some eccentric human inventor testing a new glider. But then what does one make of Mr. Hank’s description of the entity’s twisted, leathery demonic face and nine-foot height? Though the encounter was brief- the entity flew overhead and disappeared into the dusk in only a few seconds- it would leave Mr. Hanks deeply shaken.

This was not the first recorded encounter with strange, technology-assisted flying humanoids in modern times. In 1948 Bernice Zaikowski from Chehalis, Washington also claimed to have witnessed a man gliding above her house on a pair of giant, unmoving metallic wings. That same year, several people in Longview Washington reported three men in “flying suits” sailing through the air with the aid of unseen motorized equipment.

Going even further back to 1880, visitors to New York’s Coney Island witnessed a man with “bat’s wings and improved frog’s legs” and a “cruel and determined expression” sailing over the amusement park.

What could these bizarre, mechanically-assisted flying humanoids be? Perhaps, as some have suggested, they were aeronaut inventors testing out novel glider technology. The idea is not unprecedented. In the late 1800s German engineer Otto Lilienthal made extensive studies on the physics of wings (his data served as inspiration for the earliest test flights of the Wright brothers) and even built several gliders that he personally flew. Follow-ups on the Chehalis sighting strongly suggest that what Ms. Zaikowski saw was just such a man in a hang glider.

But then what about the demonic face and massive nine-foot height of the Falls River creature? Was it a mask? Or maybe Mr. Hank was simply misinterpreting what he saw in a panic. If one wants to take a supernatural approach, perhaps these metal-winged creatures were another iteration of otherworldly winged cryptids such as the Mothman, the Cornish Owlman, and the Van Meter Visitor. Supernatural investigator John Keel suggested that cryptids and other strange phenomena such as UFOs, bigfoot, ghosts, etc. might be manifestations of ultraterrestrials- beings from higher dimensions beyond the four we know. According to Keel, humans cannot fully process the true appearance of these hyper-dimensional beings, so our minds piece together approximations that we can comprehend. Maybe Mr. Hank and the tourists at Coney Island got brief glimpses at beings from the other world that had cloaked themselves in forms mortal minds could process.

Haha, now im like, reading and searching as much tf2 fics that i can find. Since… maybe Wednesday???

U remember that one post where i said this idea of a kinda monster AU??

I had some troubles with what demo could be, and thanks to this i think i might make him a werewolf. Ficss with Demo!werewolf where quite nice!! And i felt that it really suited him for some reason, but at the same time someone said highland Minotaur and it just sounds so damn good. I may just doing both drawings of him

And thanks to the persons that commented/reposted, the idea of a Zombie/gosht Solly sounded really good!!!

So by now is like this

Medic: white dove Harpy!!

Pyro: small dragon, someone said salamander, so i gotta search about if

Heavy: still cant decide, but someone said Djerman, idk whats’s that so i gotta search it

Spy: skin-walker… yea cryptid. I don’t care at this point, but if y’all have more changing form creatures/monster then please tell me

Solly: i was thinking on a mix between a Zombie and a gosht, gotta make the sketch and post it so y’all have a image of it

Demo: werewolf or highland Minotaur, I’ll do both

Sniper: there were suggest of, mothman, owlman, and the hercules stymphalian birds, tbh i like this idea at first but then i thought about his “human” form u know?? And to make sniper a single bird… is not the best. BUT!!, u know the mr hoots cosmetic?? What if mr hoots is a stymphalian birds instead of an owl and work as its rifle?? stymphalian birds are supposed to have a great aim, if im not wrong they shoot their feathers to their objective

Scout: suggestions of him as a satyr, i have also seen this but tbh i don’t really like it, i feel that it don’t actually fit scout, so still gotta search, i was thinking in some fast creature, having in mind he is the faster class in all the game

Engi: i got icarus, talos and dwarf suggest for Engi, i loved all, sadly i don’t know how to draw meca so a talus!Engi might not end up looking so pretty, but dwarf and icarus Engi??? I might end up drawing both

And sadly i might not be able to do the drawings as soon as i would like to, is exams week and then i gotta get a job cuz of personal reasons, if u want to draw this ideas then just do it!!, there is no problem with it!!!

Edit:

so a friend of mine reminded me that sniper actually had a cosmetic owl head, consequently, im going to draw him as an owlman.

ever think about how the joker is supposed to be a clown but looks almost nothing like a clown? his design has basically become a game of telephone with all previous design choices. green hair purple suit white skin red lips. man dresses like its still the 1940s, he's been in the photocopier for 80 years, let him out. at least joaquin phoenix's joker actually looks like what he's supposed to be. and gives him a name and backstory which everyone is scared to do for some reason. look i don't care if hiding his identity is supposed to make the point that it could be anyone. he's still a character and still has to be at least someone. i don't know i guess batman stuff is cool but is so incredibly stagnant and stale. this is why i like owlman better honestly
