it makes a sad amount of sense that Kira Manning would continue the tradition of the women in her family developing mummy issues and not being as close to Sarah as we maybe hoped. At least in not being able to tell her things like everything that went down in Echoes

bc while I am sure Sarah was there for her (and we know everything she did was for Kira, she made sure to be in her life more than she had) everything she went through was still also because of Sarah (like not her fault she can’t help there was an evil cooperation trying to commodify her and her clone sisters but still) even down to S dying and obviously that doesn’t mean she blames her completely, but I think there will always be a part of her that does. And S dying when she was so young means S never got to make mistakes and let Kira down really. She will always hold an image of S that Sarah probably can’t live up to. Because I am sure the teenage years were hard if Kira was anything like Sarah. I feel like there is still so much love there but, just like Sarah and S, it’s probably complicated

anyway tldr mummy issues in the Malone/Sadler/Manning family is genetic at this stage
