the dutch mental health care system is so stupid I want to go back to my old psychologist but because its been over a year since i last saw her i first need to talk to my gp and then if they agree its necessary to see a psych then i can make an appointment for a screening to check if that psychologist (who, again, has treated me before) can help me (she can. she did before.) and then after that i can make an appointment with my therapist. also waiting lists are very long so this whole process will likely take me around 2-3 months. whoever came up with the concept of bureaucracy is my worst enemy

I am just somehow OBSESSED with Takeru DRIVING. Like is he a bad driver? He speeds past the gang waiting outside of Daisuke's restaurant (or the restaurant where Daisuke works, whatever), so maybe? Is that his mom's car? Or is it his car? Why does he NEED a car? What is he doing that requires him to drive? Is it going to be a plot point in the movie? Is Takeru being a BAD DRIVER going to be a plot point? I need to know.
Ken and Miyako are also visibly startled when Takeru speeds past (Miyako JUMPS!!!!), while Iori and Hikari don't even flinch. What does that say about DYNAMIC?! Are Iori and Hikari more used to Takeru's (presumably bad) driving? That would make sense, no, cause they are (canonically???) closer with him? Just such a small interaction and I can interpret so much and draw so many conclusions!!! How fun!!!
There's just something really so fun about watching characters you've loved your whole life continue to grow - to see new details about them spring up, new traits, new things to add to canon.
It's the most delightful thing about the Digimon Adventure franchise to me. Sure, the stories they have told over the last decade have mostly been all various shades of mediocre, but the character moments - goodness, the character moments just don't hit the same in any other media for me. It's so special to me.
ETA: WAIT, looking at the screencap, Iori looks slightly concerned. Only Hikari looks calm (though she does turn her whole body to look at the car once it stops). Does this mean HIKARI is the only one comfortable with his driving? Cause Hikari is closest to him? (I don't even think their closeness is something that is debatable - I feel like it is PRETTY CANON that they are closest with each other???????????)
HERE'S HOW TAKARI CAN STILL WIN.

Leverage AU!
I have figured out how to get the team together in the Leverage AU I'm not writing. It turns out that Keeley has a little hair shop called 'Cuts by Keeley' that she uses as a front to launder money and pay taxes and (occasionally) give haircuts and makeovers.
(Her mother was a hairdresser and she basically grew up in her salon reading magazines after school. Her and her mother don't talk anymore, but it's the perfect cover for her and she's really good at it.)
She has an online booking system that is primarily false entries, but it can also be used to contact her for specific meetings regarding heists (highlights), diamond thefts (dye jobs), and other services.
So Ted books a meeting (haircut) and invites Keeley to join his team. Keeley is not opposed - it's a good score after all - but she usually works alone. You can't blame a girl for being cautious.
She makes a phone call.
"Hey babes, you working right now? Yeah, I've been offered a gig. Seems legit, only you know how quick these things can go south. Was thinking if you weren't busy, maybe you could swing by - in case I need the backup."
So when the first job goes south partway through and Roy's outnumbered, Keeley's backup makes an entrance.
And that's how Jamie ends up on the team despite the fact that Ted and Beard originally passed him over : )
