Veterans Day Celebrations

Members of the Pierreland and Scots Royal Families gathered in their respective capitals to pay tribute to both veterans of their armed forces and those who have passed in the line of duty.

In Edinburgh, Scots King Alexander was joined by his family at the Cenotaph while in Windensen Emperor David and his family were at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior.

In Edinburgh, it is customary for female members of the Royal Family to stand on the balacony on the nearby government building. The usual trio of HM Queen Marie Christine, HM the Queen Mother and HRH Duchess of Argyll were joined by special guest HIH Madame Hortense of Francesim. Meanwhile in Pierreland, almost the entire Imperial was present minus the very noticeable absence of the Grand Duke and Duchesses of Anjou but with the addition of HRH Princess Magadalena of Lunaria, daughter of beloved Pierrelander HRH Crown Princess Minerva of Lunaria. Lunaria and Francesim are both allies of Scots and Pierreland and both guests also had wreaths laid.

The Royal and Imperial Families laid wreaths at their respective monuments before their entire nations held 2 minutes of silence and reflection.

The wreaths will remain at the monuments for as long as possible. In Scots, the wreathes from left to right belong to: HIH Madame Hortense of Francesim, HRH Oliver, Duke of Rothsey, HM the King & HM the Queen.

In Pierreland wreaths are laid in the following order: on the ground from left to right: The Grand Duke & Grand Duchess of Bordeaux, HIH Prince Henri, HIH Crown Prince Louis, HRH Princess Magdalena of Lunaria, HIH Princess Maria Aisha, and Major & Mrs Villa. On top, lay the wreaths of TIM the Emperor and Empress.

Ryland: I...I don't know how to face her and I can't stand to look at the product of her love with another man.

Ghost Donovan: Suck it up. Figure it out before you really loose them.

Ryland: How do you know I haven't?

Ghost Donovan: Because I know Eleanor, she's a forgiving person. Especially when she knows she's at fault too.

16. What is your OC's pain tolerance like?

I think that Elise has a very high pain tolerance and Andre has a very low pain tolerance. This may or may not be symbolic of their entire deal, idk.

23. What emotion is the hardest for your OC to process? How about express?

This question is deceptively hard to answer, because I think the honest answer for most of my characters is: all of them. Stoicism is very important to the St. Fleurs and their self-image, and as a result, they are not emotionally demonstrative people. I think this is best exemplified by Jacques in two different places: first, in this post, he insists that he doesn't cry, and when Vivi insists that he does, he changes the subject to how emotional she is. A little earlier, in this post, he says "half the time, I don't feel anything at all." When his therapist prompts him to dig deeper and think of the last time he felt a strong emotion, he claims not to remember, even after flashing through several strong memories, positive and negative. It's not just about suppressing the bad thoughts and putting on a happy face, my royals have completely deadened themselves to most emotional expression.

Coup de Majesté

A coup de Majesté is a brutal act or order dictated by the monarch, notably to forcibly subdue the beginnings of opposition, or even rebellion or revolt against him, and thus re-establish his authority or power.

Oliver

Age 24.

Born Oliver David Alexander James. He is the son of King Alexander III of Scots & HIH Princess Marie Christine of Pierreland.

He is Hortense's fiancé.

An intelligent, empathetic, passionate yet stubborn young man, he has entered into the heart of the Francesim court with his relationship to HIH Madame Hortense of Francesim, which has had a few mis-steps in the eyes of conservatives who think the young Prince may be a liability to the Imperial Monarchy's god-like veneer.

He is currently preparing for his own wedding celebrations and helping his bride to be prepare for life outside of Francesim. His views on transparency and relaxed attitude put him at odds with his future in laws.

The Way We Were,

In the First week of April, Her Illustrious Majesty and the Imperial Prince began their Two Week Intercontinental Tour. Their first few days were spent with her almost in-laws and definately, somehow, cousins on both sides followed by a short meet and greet with the heiress in Trenton. After which, they left for Armorica.

💞 : Do they treat sex casually or do they view it as something with a lot of emotional weight?

I'm going to go with Ben with this because a. He's been on my mind a lot and b. He actually might be the best one to answer this

Ben's a combination of the two. He hasn't really HAD sex outside of a couple of times with a one-night stand or two that Nico set him up with that lasted approximately 4.53 hours and that was pretty casual, but when he eventually gets into a relationship, sex is something that he views with a lot of emotional weight, especially the first time. He and his future husband won't really do it until a couple months into their relationship and it's something that they both view with a lot of emotional weight because they've been together for a few months.

Good morning

It is such a joy to be back at Palais de Saliceau after a brief period in the hospital. The palace does not seem to have changed much while I have been away, I'm glad

I wish to thank all of you gathered here, and all of you watching and listening from across Saliceau, and beyond. Thank you for your patience and support for the monarchy and all its constituents over the recent events of the past few months.

This recent period has been an extremely trying and difficult time for the country and the monarchy. And I suspect that there are very few people or institutions unaffected by these last months of uncertainty and controversy

No section of the community has all the virtues, neither does any have all the vices. I am quite sure that most people try to do their jobs as best as they can, even if the result is not always entirely successful

There can be no doubt, of course, that criticism is good for people and institutions that are part of public life. No institution should expect to be free from the scrutiny of those who give it their loyalty and support, not to mention those who don't

But we are all part of the same fabric of our national society and that scrutiny, by one part of another, can be just as effective if it is made with a touch of gentleness, good humour and understanding

This sort of questioning can also act, and it should do so, as an effective engine for change. As the famous was hero of Warborough, Winston Templeton once said "to improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often". This is true of everything, including the monarchy

In light of such reflections, the power-holding Duchies of Vitali, Casiraghi, Berger and Evannesce, along with the monarchy have come together in agreement to a change in the order of succession

Therefore, from this moment, I create Princess Isabella, Duchess of Marseille and Saint-Lyon, heir apparent to the throne.

With Prince Matthew beside her, our new Duchess and Duke of Marseille and Saint-Lyon will, I know, continue to inspire and lead our international conversations and bring the marginal to the centre ground where vital help can be given...
