I really enjoy the dynamics of size difference in whump, especially when there's a smaller whumpee and a larger whumper. The contrast of a small and fragile whumpee, easily overpowered or defeated by a larger whumper—like a pathetic, sad wet cat they are.

i had to put in some contrast i like size differences too much

perhaps sun mages have a bit of a skewed perspective on sizes

Waylon has a tendency to resist the urge to put on weight but I'm thinking he doesn't really mind being bigger until he outgrows his clothes

James doesn't mind putting on weight but he gets flustered if his clothes are tight and/or he's got some skin showing

As for them like, canonically knowing each other I have thought in my head that they live in the same city/town so I don't see why they couldn't know each other
