player: Esmee Brugts
Esmee comforts reader after the game because reader got into a confrontation with an opponent on the pitch during el clasico
Conflict // esme brugts
You were never the type to starts arguing with the ref or player's.Yes you've had your moments here and there which would be rare.
but today of all day anthea decided that you would be her target.
you knew it was apart of the job but at some point she kept pushing and fouling you around like some ragdoll and you've had enough and weren't going to be pushed around any longer than enough.
It was like your teammates could read your mind around half time alexia lucy and Irene came up to you.
after esme had told them something you couldn't hear sometimes you loved your girlfriend but when she does stuff you don't know about it really gets to you.
"Whatever plan is going on in your little head don't do it just ignore athena it not worth running el classico for yourself". alexia told you which the other's agreed.
"Fine".was all you could get out.
"Don't let her get to you kid you got a brick heart so let's keeping playing like that". Lucy added.
"Thanks guys I'll try". You told them.
After the little chit chat the game had resume and it seemed liked the real madrid coach had told athena something. cause right now all she's been doing was bitching around and talking smack whenever she got close to you.
You ignored her for half the time and tried focusing on the game that would be before. Right now you had the ball as ona passed it to you with a clean pass.
which you got has you were about to kick it in the goal you spotted athena coming your way you quickly dribbled the ball around her. and as you we're kicking it into the goal it got to athena who also seemed to be flying in with the ball and obviously into net along with your goal.
You didn't know to celebrate or just stand there trying to think about how on earth you mange to pull that.
You wanted to get her ass but definitely not like that.before you knew it athena was marching past you and started yelling at you.
you both got into a very heated argument which lead to both teams having to pull there player.
The ref was thankful on your side after giving seeing the bull shit athena has been pulling.she got subbed off and you we're finally being able to enjoy the final moments of el classico.
Once the team had finished celebrating on the pitch everyone made there way to the dressing room.
"Ay amiga the trick you pulled on athena was badass". patri told you
"I wasn't even planning on doing that".
"as if we all know how bad you wanted to get a go at her".
"Yeah but not like that".
"Patri just drop it she's clearly not in the mood". esme called putting an end to patri teasing she wasn't the type to always speak out as she had a very shy persona.
"lo siento, amiga". She apologized.
"No worries you told her". es you ready to go,you called out to her.
"Yeah let's go".she said grabbing you're hand.
"Bye guys".you both told your teammates before leaving.
"Thanks for your help out there and in the changing room". You told her as you both arrived at your destination.
"No worries there isn't anything I would do for my favorite girl and what patri was right earlier theway you knocked her into the net was badass babe". She told with a bright smile on her face.
"If you say so now let's forget about it and enjoy our dinner at the restaurant".
The rest of the night was filled with a lot of love from esme she made sure to give you extra massages and kisses which made you feel better.
A/n: hope the fic reached your standards,I'm always opened to you guys sending in a player prompt and location or any type of request in general and as always feedbacks and comments are appreciated enjoy reading and hope you have a spectacular day ! 🫶🏾

Can you do individual ot13 thoughts/headcanons of svt getting with a reader that has a really good physique and is a pilates princess? Like abs so nice and defined it shows through her silk dresses and they have so nice arm/back muscles! I’m sure they would definitely love a partner to tag along with them at the gym.
Tumblr media
🏋️‍♀️Who; Seventeen (individually) x female reader (though I think most come off as gender-neutral) 🏋️‍♀️Wordcount; a little under 1k altogether 🏋️‍♀️Warnings; none, I don't think so at least.
-2024 Masterlist -
A/N- Let me just preface by saying that I am in no way speaking for the members and their preferences in regards to the female form in a romantic partner, as obviously, I am not them nor do I know them therefore I cannot speak for them. I'm just responding with the ~vibes~ they give me, okay Also, I know nothing about exercise so this is all general fitness
Thank you for the request, anon! I hope you like it 💖
Tumblr media
Seungcheol I think Cheol would quite like having a partner who works out a lot and who it's visible on. It's a sign that you take care of your body and physical strength as much as he does his own so although he wouldn't be loud about it, he'd be happy and always glance over at you in the gym with a proud smile seeing you focused on your task
Jeonghan He's a mischievous little imp so of course he'd be extra about it. Playfully swooning when you do things that require strength or flex your muscles. He'll love to buy you those silky low-backed dresses just to show off your muscles and will often have his hand appreciatively on your shoulderblades when you're in them
Joshua I am genuinely kind of stuck on Shua with this particular thought. I'm not sure he'd be all that into it but I don't think he'd exactly be against it either. Maybe he's sort of neutral about it. But he'll worship your body anyway and always give you the most sincere compliments and makes sure you know he loves every inch of you
Junhui I genuinely think that Jun wouldn't really care. So long as you're happy and healthy, he won't care how muscular you are or are not. But he will often have his hand on your abs over your clothes to mindlessly trace over the muscles. Like his own personal soothing/fidget toy
Soonyoung He'd love it. Always hyping you up and tracks your sets for you even if you never ask. He'd honestly spend most of the time at the gym standing by you and counting aloud with a serious, supportive expression on his face instead of working out. So now he goes to the gym twice as much, half with you and half alone to make up for focusing on you the whole time
Wonwoo Honestly, I don't think he'd really be into someone very muscular, a little definition, sure but not lots. Still, if that's what you choose to do with your body, he will do his best to support you while always making sure you don't go over the top and actually are doing it in a healthy way just for you, not for the sake of impressing others
Woozi Another one who doesn't much care. He'll like that you work out and you can share that together but it also wouldn't much bother him if you didn't either. But he also does like it for the fact that your regular workouts means he gets to the gym more regularly and doesn't get caught up in his work or lounging at home as much as before your gym dates started
Seokmin He's confused by how into it he is. He never thought he'd like a woman who isn't feminine but man, his eyes are always glued to the definition of your muscles at every chance. Full on big ol round eyes glued to the lines of your body, this man is utterly whipped He will definitely have his hands on you as much as he can to feel the natural flex of muscles under his fingers so you better be okay with copious skinship
Mingyu Number one hype man for real. As much as he wants to be that couple who works out together, you can't because he genuinely has almost scared you into dropping weights on your foot on more than one occasion from his sudden catcalls and yells of your name in support. He means well though, he just gets too excited seeing his baby killing it at the gym He regularly makes you flex for him then giggles and squeezes your muscles appreciatively before he flexes and makes you touch his in return
Minghao I'm kind of stuck between he isn't really into a lot of muscle on a partner at all and he doesn't really care either way. I think maybe he's somewhere in the middle where he will appreciate a certain amount of definition, like a flat stomach but when it turns to a six-pack he's not really into it. He'd love you regardless but it wouldn't be his preference
Seungkwan I don't think Seungkwan would be into a very muscular partner at all. He can appreciate the time and effort of course that getting such a physique takes. And he will be very impressed in general but I can't really imagine him being attracted to that in a partner though as a friend, he'd hype the shit out of you at every chance
Vernon Dude doesn't much care what you look like so long as you have a general sense of pride in your appearance to not look like a slob and eat relatively healthy. You got soft bits? Great! Got muscles? Great! Got neither? Great! Dude does not care, just wants to hold you and be held regardless of the type of body you have Though he will support you in your exercise routines and you might even be able to convince him to work out with you once or twice, though he mostly just makes you a workout mix, hands you a water bottle and sends you off with a "have fun sweating around strangers while I watch movies"
Chan This sweetheart will always support his partner in their interests. He's likely to even sign you up for classes together (with your consent of course) and do research into your preferred methods of exercise or sport. He'll very likely get very into it himself and proudly call you from across the gym when he hits a new achievement that he's learned because of you If you want to dress up in ways to showcase your muscles, he'll love it, but if you'd prefer to keep it to yourself for whatever reason, he'd still love it. He just really loves you and everything you do, you know. (I am a firm supporter of the simp chan agenda okay)
Tumblr media
A/N- I genuinely felt really mean on the ones I said wouldn't be into it, I don't want to offend anyone
If you have any ideas/suggestions of what I could write next, send an ask after checking this post where you can find the guidelines about what I will or will not write

THANK YOU for telling blackswan off. it's shocking how many replied to stroke her ego but not to point out her dogwhistles.
I honestly had no idea who she was until I saw the screens today. She has yet to respond, but I otherwise agree with her message. She has a right to be upset, anyone seeing their content put up anonymously to be mocked and laughed at is going to cause that very natural reaction. And it's her blog so if she wants to vent about it in the very place that anon got the screens that is her business. I would encourage anyone to speak up against rumors and negative comments if they need to get it off their chest. We are only human.
However, with all of that being said, I'm getting really tired of this coded language that is very obviously talking about black women sims art style in the game. This is not the first time a white simmer has used coded language like that and it won't be the last, but the responses will always be the same, because you weren't fooling anyone. I'm not playing this subtle micro aggressive racism with y'all. Regardless of how you try to hide your hands, myself and the other black simmers who made me aware including non black simmers saw who she was were referring to. She could've used any other example that didn't paint that very clear picture, and the comment wasn't even relevant to the criticism, as others pointed out.
Also, idk those other simmers who chimed in, and I don't want to assume. They probably have experienced that kind of negative comment towards their content and immediately sympathized with her without thinking about much else. My first instinct was to console her being upset until I took a double take on that "oversized lips and backsides" comment. I still think her overall point of being upset in general is valid, but she should redirect her anger to what the person actually said instead of shaming simmers (majority black simmers) who add more diverse facial and body features in their game such as larger lips and curvier body types.

Hi! Hope you're well :) weird question maybe, but how is it moving to Denmark and living there as a foreigner? I've been a couple times, loved the country and am thinking of maybe moving there. Are people welcoming? I've have great experience there, but I've heard from others that it may be hard to make friends/know new people, and I'd be moving there on my own so that's kinda something I'd need 😆 thanks for all the great content!
yo!
my feelings on denmark are complicated. before anything else, i love it here. the climate and culture (generally speaking) are just about perfect for what i want out of life. there's very little emphasis on hierarchy and a good balance between collectivistic and individualistic values. this is a great country for a queer person to live in. taxes are high, but i find that that's a very small price to pay for free healthcare, education, and subsidized childcare among other things.
as a foreigner... eh. the first thing to keep in mind is that denmark has some of the strictest immigration rules in europe, so if you're looking to move here, make sure you look into whether it's a realistic venture. a lot of people (especially those with danish spouses) actually move to sweden and commute to copenhagen from there because sweden's rules are less uh... tyrannical. lol.
and there are other issues, of course. i miss diversity a lot. there's a racism issue that very few people seem to want to engage with or even acknowledge. i love the summers because the days are so long but the winters are so so so dark.
as far as if people are welcoming or not, it's kind of a mixed bag. my experience is colored by the fact that i came here via marriage to a native dane who already had his social network (and i also don't really need many friends/social interaction). i think, personally, unless you were going to university, it can be very hard to make friends without an in-road. it's not that danes aren't friendly, because they definitely can be (particularly in nordjylland, where i live), but they often stick with the connections they had from childhood. they aren't really looking for friends past that.
that being said, i think once you truly manage to make friends with a dane, you have one for life.
that's not to be a hater entirely. obviously every country has its own problems. but if you're thinking of moving here (particularly as a poc), i would keep these things in mind. i've lived here for years now. i speak the language fluently. i would consider myself well-integrated.
but i think i'll always be considered a foreigner in denmark, even if i get citizenship someday.
all that being said, if you do end up here, drop me a line. there's a guest room in aalborg for you, if you'd like. <3

I wonder if the discontentment some people have with their gender stems from the contradictions in expectation for their gender.
I mentioned this in passing, but as a man, I've found there's this simultaneous expectation to be hyperindependent and hyperindividualistic while also being concerned about if the people around you accept your masculinity or manhood. It's an interesting paradox to both be expected not to care but also to care so deeply that it alters how you see yourself. It's the contradiction of hyperveneration and hyperscrutiny and, even, hatred of manhood.
This isn't even touching on the intricacies of nonbinary and intersex experiences with the way people enforce these (cissexist) contradictions of what you "should" be.

I honestly can't remember who my "first" monster crush was as a kid cause I didn't even know Monster Fucker as a thing existed until well into my late 20's so here I am analyzing myself and all the monster boyfriends I used to have trying to decipher who the first king was like

I keep seeing people claiming things that straight-up contradict canon about America and Canada's dynamic, so I'm going to clarify a couple of points.
What's canon: Canada makes America cry after insulting him at length during an argument. Once. (The other time, we don't get to see America's reaction, even though we can certainly surmise he doesn't take it well.)
What's NOT canon: Canada constantly bullies (or even abuses!) America, treats him horribly and believes to be above him.
As I have already stressed, Canada makes America cry at most two times in canon.
Now, this obviously isn't okay and I'm not claiming Canada's actions were right. However, people just love to dismiss the context. First of all, this isn't Canada just insulting America out of nowhere without a justification, they're in the middle of arguments. Not to mention, both times, America is the one who starts insulting Canada. (This is another thing people conveniently never mention.) Then, Canada answers and, with the spirits running so high, he definitely goes too far. Even so, there is a context that, without justifying it, does explain why he lashed out so.
Moreover, Canada insulting America definitely isn't their everyday dynamic. They're depicted at ease around each other numerous times, doing activities and spending time together. All instances in which both of them are nice and friendly, clearly enjoying what they're doing. To make this even clearer, in most of their interactions, Canada shows no hostility towards America and is, instead, very kind to him.
Lastly, regarding the assumption that Canada feels superior to America... that one is explicitly denied in canon. Canada does have some issues with America's behaviour, this much is true. However, he believes himself to be overall inferior to America, not superior. He explicitly says so.
With all this, I'm not trying to claim that Canada is perfect or that he never does anything wrong. Just like every person, he has his limits and flaws and even though he's generally nice and accommodating, he can reach the breaking point when put under a lot of stress and then, make mistakes. But not being perfect all the time doesn't make him a bad person either. Not when that faulty behaviour is so different from his normal one.

I'm watching Monkey King 2009, and I know a bit of what happens to Six Ears later so I can't help but look at things through that lens, specifically the ways the FFM troop are a hot mess in a way that's actually kind of interesting and addressed in the show (to the extent a kid's show generally touches on those things). Like! The fact it's only the second episode and the troop is now two-for-two throwing Six Ears to the wolves at the first available opportunity! I decided to look back on what happened the last time they did this and go ahead and outline the thoughts I was having on it because, apparently(!), this was not a one-off! And I was not overreacting!
The very first fight scene in the series in Episode 1. Analysis, go!
Specifically, the part where a child is the one facing down the leader of the enemy warband, a combatant who already mowed through the advances of two experienced, trained adults with minimal effort, and the show...actually kind of goes a semi-realistic route with it?
Six Ears starts off strong and confident. He's basically an adult, his king put him up to this, of course he can handle it! He won't let him down!
And he does a pretty good job! It's very kid's show fun and punchy.
But then the Demon King of Havoc - an adult, a trained fighter, a blooded fighter - starts buckling down. And Six Ears slips up. And then he keeps slipping up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's not fun anymore. Six Ears is in way over his head and he knows it. So you get this (honestly kind of heartstring-tugging) shot of him glancing away while the Demon King approaches to look for his mentor and idol for help or guidance or something. He's a kid, he's scared now, and he wants his grandfather.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...and finds him asleep.
Now in most media I'd expect this to either be the mentor-figure feigning indifference or carelessness to encourage their pupil to handle the problem themselves (and implying in the process that they never doubted their pupil's ability to handle it - that they were never in actual danger), or this would just be building tension before the seemingly-oblivious mentor-figure suddenly intervenes at the critical moment.
But, of course, Six Ears isn't the actual protagonist, and that's not what happens. Six Ears looks to his king for help, finds none, and that's it. The Demon King of Havoc goes in for the kill and all Six Ears can do is run.
And he does, and he runs and runs and runs, farther and farther from his troop and anyone who can help because apparently no one was paying attention to the kid who was taking on the leader of the entire opposing force by himself, and he barely stays ahead of the sword, the trees the Demon King sends crashing down on him, and he's blatantly not able to do anything more than survive moment to moment.
And then he can't run anymore.
Tumblr media
And the Old Monkey King doesn't show up. We find out he was never going to show up.
We get a shot of the Old Monkey King slowly waking up way back in the camp well after this scene, in response to Stone Monkey's hatching. (He also stands bolt right up, which is probably meant to be in shock at the giant stone rocketing into the sky wreathed in universe energy but I also like to think might also have been a "Where the FUCK is my KID" just so I can imagine someone was concerned about Six Ears during all this.)
Like, I cannot emphasize enough, Six Ears would be dead if Stone Monkey hadn't been hatching at this exact moment. An energy burst from the hatching blinds the Demon King long enough for Six Ears to bolt and start the chase again. That's what saves him. And then again when Six Ears manages to get the egg between him and a blow from the Demon King's sword.
Considering how eager the generals are to throw Six Ears to Stone Monkey when they're still convinced he's a legitimate danger in literally just the next episode, presumably just days after all this went down, and I...sort of think they were fully aware Six Ears was likely going to die to the Demon King. While I hesitate to say they didn't care at all, they showed in Episode 2 pretty clearly that they definitely cared way less about a child of their troop's likely death than they did about saving their own skins. Not enough to back him up, not enough to go after him when he's forced to flee, not enough to take on the fight in his place.
Which is tremendously messed up all on it's own, but it gets worse because these generals are all for treating him like a young kid when it's convenient for them. They see him as a child! But they're just as quick to throw him under the bus of adulthood as soon as that's convenient for them. Whatever requires the least effort from them, that's what they want him to be.
Seriously, who the hell is taking care of this kid? Because at this point it sure seems like the Old Monkey King - who is very old and very tired and whose body is blatantly failing him - is stuck not only trying to keep his troop in something vaguely resembling working order and secure them as much as possible for his imminent death no one but him seems concerned with, but is also somehow expected to be the primary (if not sole) caregiver of a young child. Something he can't be. Like, geez, guys. Let the man wither away in peace without piling on him more fraying threads of the things he can't possibly tie up properly before he goes, thanks!
Not to mention how this would blatantly conflict with the Old Monkey King's need to have a successor as soon as possible, since the most eligible adults in his troop are, apparently, all lazy cowards who are entirely unsuitable. He brings it up like two or three times in the first episode alone, so this is clearly something that's stressing him out, and his best option is still a boy. Meaning Old Monkey King is in a position of having to desperately (but trying not to show that he's desperate) push Six Ears to grow up just a little faster because he doesn't know how much longer he has left. There's just not a lot of room for him to just let Six Ears be a kid, in those circumstances. He needs a king. He needs Six Ears to make decisions and lead and take risks, even if the ones he's taking are far beyond the sort of things that should be on a kid's shoulders. He can't be his mentor and his grandfather and his king. No one person can be all three of those. Something is going to give. And so the Old Monkey King makes his mistakes. He piles too much on Six Ears too soon. He expects too much of him too soon. He nearly gets Six Ears killed in the first episode. (He accidentally leaves Six Ears vulnerable in the future to adults who want to use him.)
It's a fascinating little set-up. Obviously not really addressed in the show, since it's for kids and framed from a kid's perspective, which is also sort of genius? I'm thinking of the second episode where the generals are more than willing to dump Six Ears on the sacrificial alter, even physically carrying him out the door, an adult on each arm, like he might wise up and get scared and run (and if he did, like they wouldn't let him), and all Six Ears does is laugh. He's a kid. We've all been kids who think some of the most messed up things are perfectly normal simply because you don't have anything to compare it to. This is just the generals being the generals, obviously. They're so silly :)
But adults were writing this show, and I can't imagine an adult writing this not knowing exactly what they were doing. Especially knowing what happens to Six Ears.
Anyway, long story short: I want to fight the generals with my bare hands. I do not want to fight the Old Monkey King with my bare hands, but I do want to give him a long, disappointed glare over his cups that I feel like he would understand perfectly.
Also, someone needs to wrap Six Ears up in a burrito blanket and stuff him in a pillow fort with Stone Monkey where nothing can hurt them. That would be nice.
#images under cut#mhw09 personal#if this had a structure it went out the window real fast it's just me yelling about things at some point#okay look I guess I just had a lot to say after just two episodes. that's what blogs are for. (right? right. right.)#not even getting INTO how they talk about Stone Monkey#okay actually let's just not allow these guys around young teens at all. they can't be trusted.#you know what old monkey king how about you just point at one of the random background NPC monkeys we see hanging around and make THEM#your successor?#come on now#you're desperate and it's gotta be better than the literal child you are lovingly handcrafting SEVERAL major complexes for as we speak#and while we're on this topic how about you point to four random ones and make them your new Generals!#I mean sure the fact Ma Beng Liu and Ba are the Marshals/Generals probably means the others are somehow LESS competent or able#(maybe a cultivation level thing?)#but come on#actually I'm wondering if the Generals' lack of care for Six Ears comes from a similar place as their#fear and aversion to Stone Monkey#Six Ears is pretty blatantly noooot really a monkey “like them” either?#so wherever he came from I wonder if they had just as strong objections about HIM at some point#obviously they'd be mostly over them by now but...I dunno man#I wonder if they think of him less as a monkey kid and more as their king's weird alien pet project#oh! almost forgot! episode 2! the fact they off-handedly say they'll at least be hiding nearby in case Six Ears needs help#but uh...a whole-ass imp attacks him and they are nowhere to be found. Surprise surprise.#ugh they're the worst#they better get kicked into shape and grow better as people or they better get buried istg#that's a bit extreme#I mean it though#or at least replaced all right we'll go with 'get better or get kicked'

i was thinking more about asmodeus' waterdhavian sona in the car and decided that patience is
a) a lawyer because that was the funniest imaginable thing i could think of, for asmodeus to secretly have a law firm in waterdeep (the dm came up with the slam dunk name 'patience is a virtue legal solutions' for his practice)
and b) significantly shorter than celeste
literally no one who even remotely knows celeste can figure out why they're dating and everyone agrees he's astronomically out of patience's league

Context: After getting character hate on my gifset, I added a comment in the reply section kindly asking people to not put character hate in the tags of my gifset. (Which, I'm learning... may be a crime...)
Are you for real? I'm not out here making gifs like it's some sort of public service. lol! 😂 I'm nowhere near so magnanimous. I'll be as partial as I want. I can, and I am, and I will be.
I gif things I like.
For me.
I gif them for me.
I share them in case other people are interested. (I often like things in atypical ways, and if I can give another fan a drink of water in the desert, that's great.) Same principle with my art and fics. Sometimes they get attention and sometimes they don't. I'm fine either way because all of it is created, first and foremost, by me for me. (Unless expressly stated that it is a gift.) If I see it, then the target audience is reached. So when I make something (for me), no, I don't want to see negativity on it. And that's my right. I'm allowed to not like that when I spend an afternoon making a gifset and there are tags like "[favorite character] should die." I'm allowed to say I would prefer not seeing more of that.
But in your mind, I should grin and bear it and... Well, I'm not even sure what the upside is. I'm not much into suffering for strangers. (You know I'm not getting paid per gif, right?)
If you can't abide by one ridiculously tiny rule, just don't reblog my stuff. That means it's simply not FOR YOU! It's not for you to use as a conduit and canvas for character hate. If you are emotionally incapable of reblogging something without putting hate on it when asked, that is a you problem. Kindly keep your problems away from me and my stuff.
.............I say this, but sadly anon can no longer hear me. 🤧 Because I blocked them after I took the screenshot. (Thank you, tumblr, for the block anonymous feature.) RIP, anon. But since you are blocked, you won't have to worry about seeing my gifsets anymore, the ones that make you grind your teeth because the creator asked you not to hate on their favorite character on their own post. You shall not be missed.
PS:
I never said people have to like Fisk. I've been a fan of the character for 9 years. I'm quite aware of the fact people don't like him. I only asked that they not brag about hating him on my post. You understand these two things are separate, right? Tell me you understand they're different things. If they want to make their own post and cuss him to Hell and back, that's their prerogative. They can do it elsewhere.
"The show is about Maya." Big duh. But did you know... fans can favor someone who is... not the main character? (While still liking the MC, of course.) If this weren't your first fandom, you might know that. Honestly, someone's favorite character being the MC is often a rarity. If E-cho were longer and fleshed out their characters more, I'm sorry to say there would be even less focus on Maya. Because obsessing over secondary characters is what fandom does best.
Nope, don't believe you like Fisk. Maybe in an abstract way. Maybe thinking he's a good villain. But if you're getting this mad at me for not wanting to see hate about him on content I created specifically to showcase him, no way you like Fisk.

i keep seeing screenrant articles and stuff (most recently) that are all "*gasp!* the toymaker has fixed continuity in doctor who by saying that actually it's all a mash up of different timelines!" and every time i'm just like yeah???? that isn't new that's literally the entire show
#el speaks#doctor who#dw 60th#google has long since figured out what I'm into#(apparently it's doctor who and archaeology and quantum mechanics in case you were wondering)#and i am occasionally a sucker for that specific kind of clickbait that's like#NEW STUDY SUGGESTS UNIVERSE MAY ACTUALLY BE TWICE AS OLD AS WE THOUGHT#where you can just take one look at the headline and go#nah#nah that's preeeeeeeetty obviously a massive exaggeration of conclusions made by a single preprint#maybe a chance that the authors would agree with the headline because they're going a little out there#but probably even they would say it's an exaggeration#the REAL exciting stem headlines are like#we found the first aperiodic monotile (it's shaped like a hat)#that's when you know you've found the good stuff#(the actual headlines about that were much less funny but I don't remember any examples because they weren't very interesting)#sometimes less interesting headlines = more interesting stories#but also sometimes i just want to read some dumb shit that's completely nonsensical but also 100% completely benign#because you know what? sometimes ya just gotta get way too into string theory and that's fine#fringe physics beliefs generally have utterly no impact on one's actual relationship to the world around them#and anyway how big can the overlap between people who care about this shit and people who believe this shit be?#wait what am i talking about now? i started out talking about doctor who#oh well#that's what the internet is for

you can dislike and hate literally any character in existence for whatever reason you could possibly conceive of and it's fine actually
AS LONG AS your reasoning isn't based on their race, gender, sexuality, religion, etc. go forth and feel whatever the fuck it is you feel about them for whatever reason or no reason there is
because this is fiction
it's fandom
it's fun
the rules are minimal and simple and nobody is allowed to police how you feel about things. nobody is allowed to police your opinions on some babygirl, no matter how much they love them. they can disagree with you, hate you, block you, think your wrong, vent on their own tumblr about it, etc. but they CAN'T tell you how to feel or how not to feel.
we don't do that here, sir. and anyone who GENUINELY tries to has not touched enough grass in the year of our saint milo fahey 2023
