Arts a lil old but I have um some guys for you,, i hope u enjoy,,,,,
i originally wanted to finish my jordan design + my design for the initiate robe + maybe the choir robe so I could post it all together but that would have meant not being able to talk about these fuckers as much so... yeah.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not 100% on how Catherine came out but I can work on her,,, ANYWAY- MY CLERGY CREEPS
Lawrence the Archivist and Catherine the Exorcist!!!! Info about them under the cut
I do a lot of stuff at the temple with my OCs, so I figured it'd be fun to start making a couple FREAKS to inhabit that place with, so I have more personalised horrors to subject lil guys to... ALSO because it's fun to just write an absolute piece of shit. That too.
Lawrence's deal is that on the surface, he's a kind person that you are Safe around. Initiates like him, he sometimes does some tutoring when he's not busy with his other work, he'll even help initiates out of Sticky Situations with other members of the temple! He's a nice, sleepy man that looks after scrolls and books! However, under that, he is just as disgusting as most of the others. He just targets people he considers too oblivious/pure/otherwise innocent to Realise what he's doing (I think gameplay-wise as an NPC, he'd target players with high purity or low awareness) ,,, BASICALLY he's a pathetic little man that needs so so so badly to be liked, so he doesn't want to be caught, but. Not badly enough to just not molest people.
Catherine meanwhile is Openly Terrifying! Her job basically involves various forms of purification, including Exorcisms and Punishing People Who Break Their Vows. Also looking after the temple-sanctioned weaponry. I think people avoid her, because she's kind of giving off constant bad vibes lmao. Thinks a lil highly of herself. She is Pure and Moral and Better Than Other People. She is also stubborn in this belief! So when she starts having lustful thoughts about people, obviously she can't be to blame for that! It just means whoever that is, they are Evil and Tempting Her! Better vent her sadistic tendencies onto them about it. Weirdly, when she does snap and do a rape and get what she actually wants though, she tends to change her tune and start babbling weird praise at her victim out of seemingly nowhere. Essentially, she is SOOOO gross and pathetic. I think as an in-game NPC, she'd react to your allure, but she'd have different flavour text depending on your Grace and Purity. Also might torture some demons...

i wuv ganyu so much even if the game has done nothing but make her entire personality overworked ‘waifu’ (😵‍💫) that only worries abt her weight but like the potential is There i can taste it and i am obsessed w it even if her outfit is so godawfully ugly. why did they have to do that to her
#x#gi posting#it’s genuinely so bad i havent seen a single redesign that didn’t immediately make her a million times more appealing#i love her horns and i like the stupid bell around her neck but everything else…. 🫢🫢🫢 girl. please#it annoys me bc she like xiao and zhongli is one of the few playable charas that were alive during the archon war n stuff#n both of them have significantly more interesting/culturally significant design choices that sorta show how importantly genshin thinks of#them… but nothing for my queen 😭😭😭#the disrespect… i think she would’ve looked soooo good in some kind of fit inspired by modernised hanfu….. instead she wears those fucking.#leggings n a weird ass leotard thing EUGHHH#anyways. was saying this bc i Just saw a redesign i rlly liked. SHE HAD GOAT (ig qilin) LEGS IN IT LIKE!!!#i still love her tho ig…. my baby#i think other than kaeya (bc he will always be my number one LOL) she’s the one that i’ve done the most heavy lifting for in terms of like.#creating my own characterisation and understanding of her sbdksjd bc they give us Nothing for the most part n then there’ll be a handful of#snippets that r Just interesting enough to make me go crazy n want for more#i also think it’s really entertaining to use her meta mechanics within her characterisation n story. again i kinda do this w kaeya too but#specifically for ganyu it rlly fascinates me that she’s canonically partially a creature known to be incredibly docile and benevolent and#goes out of its way to not hurt living beings meanwhile gameplay wise she’s like. arguably an absolute beast of a hypercarry n one of the#strongest dps’ in the game. like that’s just such a funny contrast to me i love playing w that idea in my head#BUT YEAH. Anyways. i feel like i’m always talking abt kaeya (LOL) so have some ganyu my beloved rambles now instead…

a doctor turned serial killer turned doctor again, an actor who paints, a gang leader, a mining baron, and a vice overseer walk into the room.
oh yeah and they lead karnaca now.
dishonored 2 is my fav game but i think it's mid, story-wise. here's why dh1 works and why dh2's overarching story sorta misses
tl;dr: story integration is critical for gameplay that offers audience payoff, but emily's personal arc from dishonor to honor is inconsistently demonstrated in the story, and is not an interactive part of the gameplay.
essay/long version under cut >
recap: what's dishonored's deal
[skip if you want] dh1 is an underdog story: corvo is an honorable man swept up in the machinations of a callous city, so his canonical ending being 'this child will rule over an empire' isn't about the child's rule but rather about corvo's reputation being restored in a more hopeful city, due to his & the player's rejection of the violent connotations of the tagline 'revenge solves everything.'
similarly, in dh1 DLCs, daud's story arc is that of an anti-hero: a dishonorable man who realises too late he has done irreparable harm. he sees the error of his ways after a single monumental death, and eventually a single life redeems him when he/the player stepped in to circumvent a terrible fate for a child, enabling her to rule unfettered.
daud & corvo come to a satisfying conclusion within the extent of their narrative arcs. it doesn't matter that a child on a throne isn't really a fix for a decaying empire - the player's actions throughout the city of dunwall was what mattered - and these stories could be framed as parables. in that sense, young emily as a ruler is a metaphor for a hopeful future for the city & empire.
dishonored 1 & its DLCs are also great examples of storytelling with perfectly integrated gameplay - you, the player, worked towards the outcome that redeemed the protagonists.
in your efforts to save young emily, you either achieved a good outcome (corvo) or prevented a worse outcome (daud).
bringing us to dh2 -
what's emily's arc
emily's arc is a coming of age: we're introduced to a reigning empress who questions her role & skillset ("am i the empress my mother wanted me to be?"), then her titular fall from grace occurs. from there, she learns to reject the violent, selfish connotations in 'take back whats yours' tagline (a la daud & corvo!) while rediscovering why her rule is critical to the empire.
emily's rule is no longer metaphorical, but:
a literal thing for audience assessment (is emily a good ruler?) AND
the crux of her storyline.
at the beginning of dh2, emily is introduced as a disengaged leader ("i wish i could just run away from all this;" "i dont know if whether i should sail to the opposite side of the world, or have everyone around me executed"). the antihero has a precedent for the dishonored series in daud, so it's not at first glance an issue*, however, the fact that emily has ruled poorly reframes corvo & daud's endings as being less than ideal (a moralistic retcon) *we could talk here about how ready an audience was in 2016 for a flawed women as a protagonist, hell, even in 2023,,,
throwback to the beginning of this essay when i said:
'this child will rule over an empire' isn't about the child's rule but rather about corvo's reputation
emily's story arc, unlike for daud & corvo, is literally about the quality of her rule. we're no longer in metaphor territory (ironic phrase): a parable-style ending doesn't work.
does emily become a good ruler
we know she becomes a good ruler because the game says so. it is narrated to the audience via a (literal) word of god in the space of 30 seconds, after the final boss. the outsider tells us that emily becomes known as Just & Clever.
drawing a distinction here - this narration is not the same as the player actively being involved.
the player does not throughout the game become aware that emily has made political allies. during the game, she doesn't talk to these characters about saving karnaca or being a better ruler to the empire (there's a few lines might imply it, but you need to be actively looking and being careful to wait for every voice line. it's a far cry from daud & corvo's fight to save emily being unmissable - even though daud doesn't know at the beginning that's the goal).
how does the game show it
you can coincidentally not kill most of your subjects and never be aware that emily is looking to restore karnaca by means of instating a council - it's never brought up. it *couldn't* be brought up, because that council serves under the fake duke (armando), who is the last person she speaks to before she leaves for dunwall. its her suggestion that he rules karnaca, but armando's condition is that he will rule as he sees fit.
to back up a bit, emily's canonical method of restoring karnaca is by banding together key allies - hypatia, stilton, [byrne &or paolo], pastor, under a council beneath the duke's body double. they are passionate people who would each individually make worthwhile advisors, but if you think about those characters sitting at a table trying to reach an agreement, it feels like an assortment of people that emily didn't kill along the way and doesn't feel organic (up to interpretation). it's not stated if emily herself banded this council together, but logically she must have (worth a mention these are mostly characters that you as the player had reasonable rationale to kill during a high chaos run, except pastor). the underlying concept may be that karnaca's power is returned to its people - which is interesting given that the monarchy remains and armando's decision is final.
this overarching solution could also be taken as a critique to dh1's 'put your kid on the throne,' which is another reason its worthwhile looking at how emily was shown to be a better leader. obviously my point isn't that her solution was bad given the circumstance, but i mean she has very little agency here in all. if emily was shown to be more controlling as a leader, this could be interpreted as character growth, but that's not the case.
coming of age
how do you learn & grow when you can't specify your failings? emily doesn't really touch on her shortcomings as an empress. she non-specifically worries delilah makes a better empress than her. it's hard to argue her worries are meaningful when someone good at their job will still worry when lives are in the balance.
emily's best 'aha' moments (eg. crack in the slab comment about gaining perspective) are consistently undercut by a conversation with sokolov or meagan afterwards in which she demonstrates she hasn't learned anything (before the grand palace, emily condemns 'toadies sucking up to me' and is reminded by meagan that she's part of the problem). the story is confused about what it's trying to say about emily's progress, and when she's meant to show progress, if she was meant to show any progress at all. it could be argued that emily was never even a bad ruler, she had just been fed misinformation about the problems in karnaca and been the victim of slander by her political enemies. the game doesn't make this clear - it's easier to argue that the opposite is true given that her allies only have criticism.
worth a mention here that the heart quotes about armando - a fake ruler - interestingly mirror emily's character concerns. "see how he sighs? his life is a gilded cage." but this essay is already long.
while corvo & daud spend their games (and through the gameplay) 'earning' their redemption, emily is being led by the NPCs around her to a conclusion and a fix for the political mess in karnaca: meagan & sokolov guide emily to her missions, and there's no recurring quest for emily to investigate possible allies. she is able to gather the people she hasn't killed to herself by manner of... post-game narration. during the game, she's primarily concerned with getting her throne back.
an easy fix: if there had been less dialogue & narrative focus on emily's failings perhaps the ending would have felt more satisfying. it has the feel of cut content, but i don't know what was cut to be able to comment on it.
so what went wrong?
i can't help but wonder if arkane were worried they would lose a certain demographic if corvo wasn't playable (may have been deemed too much of a risk - 2013 was a different time), and so they had to take out story elements that were unique to emily's growth as a character/empress, because the usual storyline/gameplay integration had to work for both characters - in other words, gameplay that made sense for both corvo & emily was prioritised before emily's story & character development. which is a silly problem to have in a game that added character voices for the sake of improving characterisation - maybe emily's tale would have felt more akin to a parable if she had less lines that betrayed her ignorance (to the disdain of those around her).
i wish more care had been taken with emily's story. most players will never really notice the large variety of different endings - they're not particularly satisfying in and of themselves.
it's ironic that one of Emily's complaints is about her father/protector being overbearing, when his (parallel universe) presence in the gameplay may be one of the reasons her own narrative arc falls flat.
what are the upsides here
changing tune from what didn't work - don't you think the concept is fantastic? it's a great idea overall - can you imagine if the coming of age storyline was better integrated into the game?
it's valuable to talk about the integration of story and gameplay and characterisation from a craft perspective. dh2 genuinely is my favourite game - it's beautiful, the imm-sim design philosophy makes the world a delight to explore, the combat gives endless creative options for tackling any fight, there is a far greater diversity of cast in an in-text canonical way. there's loads to love!
i love emily as a dodgy leader, to me it adds interesting dimensionality to the outsider's narrations - of course in dunwall there's never a neat happily ever after! emily, like the outsider, both work well as characters who hold ultimate power but aren't necessarily worthy of it - and this makes perfect sense for the dishonored universe's morality & critiques of power. however, within this grey area there's still plenty of room for a satisfying ending, which isn't what we ended up with, whatever the true reason for that was. and also, damn, emily's a marked assassin empress, if she can't lead well then who can?
while dh1 was criticised for its narrative simplicity, dh2 in contrast and in hindsight shows us that simplicity isn't so bad - there's satisfaction in gameplay achieves a clear, simple narrative goal.
#are you a dh1 enjoyer but less so a dh2 enjoyer?#have you ever wondered why you don't love dh2 as much?#here's 1.8k words that might articulate some of that.#light reading.i guess#this essay wasn't meant to cover everything - just the core of the plot and why its important to integrate story & gameplay#and to compare dh1 & 2#dishonored#dishonored 2#dishonored 2 spoilers#emily kaldwin#daud#corvo attano#this week i'm cracking things out of my drafts!#<333 don't get me started on doto.#some of this might be contentious. idk i try to live in a bubble#the meme version was easier to read i know i know#this essay would have been a lot longer had i integrated more references from the game#i know a few others have said this but imagine if they went a different way with emily#like she realises shes not fit for the job and maybe no one is and says fuck the system cause shes got a rebellious streak#and does a kickflip on the monarchy and institutes something else. i dont even care what. make it funny#and then for the sake of continuing the trend we spend dishonored 3 undoing the horrible leadership emily instates <3#i think they really loved emily as a character. i FEEL the love i believe its there.but didn't think enough bout how she would be perceived#there's a good couple comments from baldur's gate 3 devs about how much work goes into writing women to account for sexism#there's more that i could have added to this essay but for brevity's (ha.ha) sake i'll leave it there#other textposts about this game that i see around tend to romanticise dishonoreds story a little more

Hiii !! Have u played this hidden gem of a game called "Degrees of Lewdity" ? Been playing it for weeks now and honestly I NEEEED games that are quite similar to it. May I ask for recommendations :3 ??
Yeah, sure! Degrees of Lewdity is a fun game though it has been a while since I've kept up with updates. I'm still waiting to see if they ever add some new content for Great Hawk.
It's hard to recommend exactly what you might like since it sort of depends on what part of DOL you like. Do you like the darker aspect? The game play? The romance options? The fact that it explores a lot of different kinks? A combination of them? Hard to say. If you like the darker aspects, try looking at this list for games that are similar to Boyfriend to Death since they often do overlap in a lot of ways and I will probably repeat some from that list as well.
Still, I'll try my best to give you some good recommendations.
The Snake's Taken a Spouse - from recent memory, this is probably a game that has a closest resemblance to Degrees of Lewdity, though it is not nearly as expansive, as you only have one love interest. The artwork isn't the best but I do appreciate it a lot for what it is. Shimil is also just adorable.
Courtin' Cowboys - I'm still in the middle of playing this game, but it is pretty fun to do. There are a lot of options and minigames and you can cause the deaths of certain npcs if you're not careful. Also follows a more darker and more gory feel to it. Also has a more walking around town and doing a bunch of
Forcefully Yours - definitely has the feel of a lot of choices since you can make Riker hate you or love you and even change his appearance. He can be really sweet or really violent towards you depending on your choices.
Yandere Love: Chains of Fate - even though I'm not the biggest fan of how the yanderes are in these games, there's no denying that they're pretty dark and have more of the DOL type feel to them.
Rotten Dinner - dark thematic wise, it does remind me a bit of DOL. It's more surreal and follows a visual novel aspect to it more than the game aspect to it, but it's still a good game.
Saccharine -pretty much all of this creator's game tends to have this kind of dark undertone to it, but I think Saccharine has a bit more of the gameplay elements that are in DOL such as earning money, baking and talking to people. Good story though.
Dead Wishes - specifically Mateo, Vincent and maybe Shizuka or Ophelia's routes. The range from pretty sweet and wholesome to downright gruesome and disturbing, but overall I think it's a pretty well made game. I think other routes like Lucian as well tend to be on the darker side too.
Triania Academy - not nearly as dark, but still a fun interactive fiction where you go to an academy to meet a bunch of other people with super powers. You can choose the route that you're on as well as the genders of the datable/non playable characters, and change your personality based off of them. What fun!
Samurai of Hyuga - another interactive fiction which I only played the prologue for so far (I'm sorry Flaine, I swear, I'll get back into it at some point) but it does have more of a dark story and a yandere in it, which is always good thing. You can also choose your attitude and gender, which affects different parts of the story.
Here you go, there are some things I think are similar to DOL. If you aren't satisfied with those answers, send me another ask! I think it helps if you're more specfic on aspects you like since it will help me create a better list for you.

I think another reason why I'm of the opinion that 3H's writing falls flat due to superfluous exposition, is that... it actually does what I think is great gameplay-story integration.
And that's the character paralogues!
Every character has a paralogue which ties their personalities and backstories into that mission's plot, without exception. Certain gameplay elements are also introduced to suit why the characters are doing what they're doing in those missions.
They're not flawless of course (map reusal is a bitch), but they are nonetheless stellar ways to tie in the characters to their world.
So what's the issue? The problem then becomes, why the hell is there so much else then?
I'm not advocating for everything else to be cut or for character backstory/development centered supports to be shelved, of course. But when you have paralogues-missions that are very well crafted to engage the player in the game flow and the writing simultaneously-why do the characters reveal the same things and go through similar developments in other places, like supports, the monastery, sometimes even in story as well?
Because you can miss out on paralogues? Well this game makes it so you can skip the monastery, supports can get locked if you don't do them in time, and those sparse story moments don't exist if the side character dies. There's no functional reason why you need multiple avenues to dive into the same few character plotlines, especially when one method does it consistently better and more involved than the others.
And logically or writing wise, there's even less of a reason other than they really wanna make sure you know these characters really well. Which is in no way bad of course, it's great to make a cast that you're proud of and want people to fall in love with every aspect of each of them. But there's nudging your audience to a position, and then there's outright making the line between player control/influence/preference and authorial intent too blurry.
Inevitably yeah, people did love this cast. That's why 3H is so popular and why their characters rank so highly in polls. But I reiterate from previous posts: 3H doesn't do anything special that previous FE games didn't as well. The cast isn't particularly deeper than most FE casts on average, nor is its world/story writing any more impressive. There's just more of it being delivered and put in your face than normal. And because many finer details unique to 3H's plot construction end up irrelevant (or outright contradictory to the main plot when thought about for too long), most of what's pushed is the character writing and backstories and Fodlan's primary backdrop... over and over and over again.
To me, that becomes tedious and ironically makes me care less for the world as I find incessant need to reiterate major aspects of the story near verbatim to be artificial and suffocating. But I'm not most people, and I can't fault others for finding great joy in it. I just thoroughly hope that the gameplay-story interaction is taken as priority like it was with Engage for future FE games, because these are still video games at the end of the day. When your game is being talked/argued about more than it's actually being played (for reasons that don't specifically have to do with archaic design elements as a result of its age)... shouldn't that be seen as a bad sign in the eyes of a video game designer?

Have you ever even heard of…
youtube
BECAUSE OH MY GOD SEARCH FOR THE LOST IS SUCH AN UNDERRATED GEM OF A FAN-MADE SONIC SHOW
Okay, allow me to give you some additional context before just bombarding you with all the many reasons why you need to watch this show.
Search for the Lost is a fan-made production created by Creative Planet Entertainment on YouTube. This shit has been around for 6 whole years, and it is such a good show! Made entirely out of g-mod screenshots/screen recordings and Sonic gameplay, Search for the Lost is a show about Silver the Hedgehog and his friends figuring out what Melhiles of all people is doing back in action, and why the fuck he’s working with Eggman of all people. Also, why is Infinite back… AND WHAT’S ALL THIS TALK ABOUT A PROPHECY!?
OH AND BLAZE IS HERE TOO!?!?
AND THERE’S THIS NEW GUY CALLED FORGE WHO IS LITERALLY THE BEST IN THE ENTIRE SHOW HANDS DOWN 100000P0/10 BEST BOI BEST ROBO BUDDY EVER HE’S SUCH AN IDIOT AND SUCH A HILARIOUS GUY HE’S LIKE THE ONLY ONE WHO MAKES GOOD JOKES HE IS LITERALLY THE BEST EVER I LOVE FORGE
Aight lemme just give a quick spoiler-free explanation about Forge because I know yall are looking at this like “Who tf is Forge?? Some kinda fan character or something??” Because… Yeah, he is a fan character, BUT A VERY GOOD ONE AND HIS DYNAMICS WITH EVERYONE WORK LIKE A CHARM I TELL YOU HE IS NOT JUST SOME RANDOM SONIC RECOLOR.
Cuz he’s a Metal Sonic recolor! 🤩 Haha, well to be fair, they literally call out Sonic recolors in the show with this fact. It’s in Forge’s story! Basically, Forge once worked with Silver in his bad timeline in Crisis City, but the ashes and the chemicals were too much for his small little itty bitty bird lungs. So, to keep himself from slowing everybody down, he managed to shove his consciousness into an old Metal Sonic model. A black-and-yellow one, kinda like the one from Archie except a lot less like Sonic personality-wise and a lot more like Sonic visually. With all these new robotic upgrades, Forge became a force to be reckoned with, and became one of Silver’s bestest friends after the whole Iblis thing. Oh, and he ships Silvaze like it’s nobody’s business, so that obviously gets an A+ from me lmao
I may have gotten carried away with that explanation and maybe there’s some spoilers in there but it’s late and I’m sleepy so you’ll only know if you watch the show~! ✨🙂
Seriously tho. This show is very underrated. I’ve been keeping tabs on it for years now, ever since episode 5 came out! Trust me, that’s a long time. They have their plates full when it comes to personal things and it’s a big project so episodes come out after a long time in production.
There are only 7 episodes so far, but each episode is jam-packed full of lore and giving us more questions on top of every answer! It brings back characters we haven’t seen for a long while, and it always provides a reasonable explanation as to why some of them have been gone and why some just like. Cut contact or something. There’s characters from previous games, from Sonic X, from Archie, from IDW, BRO WE GOT GAMMA IN HERE BAYBEEEEE IF THAT AINT FREE REAL ESTATE IDK WHAT IS.
AND DON’T FORGET HEAVY AND BOMB FROM KNUCKLES CHAOTIX. PLEASE. PLEASE DON’T FORGET ABOUT THEM THEY’RE HERE TOO AND THEY’RE LOVELY
So. Please. Please just watch this show. Please look at all the additional content with Forge on their channel too, it’s fucking hilarious! Just… I wanna talk to someone about this show who isn’t just my lil bro. Like I love getting to bombard him with bullshit about characters he’s never even heard about until watching this show but I gotta know I’m not the only one. Please. These people are working so hard on Search for the Lost and I’d really appreciate if you even saw just one or two episodes. The story is very intriguing, the characters are all so well-written, TEAM DARK IS THERE, FORGE GETS A WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION, so I say it’s all totally worth it!

no hate
no disrespect
not trying to be an anime power scaler or anything
...
but Gaius been looking kinda sorry ever since the heel turn
Tumblr media
like let's look at the record
look at the record
gameplay wise yeah Gaius is a pretty big deal. If this was pokemon he'd be a stable in OU tier
storywise ~~~ I dunno
like The Esper Seven are the strongest of the strong
they're this story's Kages/ Warlords of the Sea/ Captain level Shinigami or what have you
And of the 7 he is one of the 3 that have shown off their power in the story and that's where he's looking kinda iffy
In his character trailer he's struggling to solo Cube Miracle
and I get the part where he was by himself but also he was struggling against a slightly bigger miramon
Tumblr media
like Leora can take down a giant miramon. Mateo did it too
Gaius? Hannah had to go Android 16 for him to do it
2. Bro ain't all that knowledgeable. he kinda just... knows people
and ya sure being popular is a great skill to have...But you need some more smarts my guy. You got outplayed and outsmarted by doom prepper with amnesia in a world they don't even know anything about
Tumblr media
like you had everything on easymode but still fumbled that
3. How are top 7 strongest people in canon and have not killed anyone you have set out to kill
Raven- Okay she's also an Esper Seven so sending her to a coma is fair but also...bro you blew an entire building floor, but she still alive? come on now
Tumblr media
Abigail / Alexa / Xuan Pin - These are not strong people. Abigail is just a neppo baby that commited stock manipulation that one time, Alexa runs the entertainment sector of a city and Xuan Pin is a strategist. None of them are built for what you are about
Tumblr media
Abigail had to go snitch to the Esper Union to come and help her and Alexa jump Jin Yuyuo, a Shadow Pillager. That is how much they are NOT built for what you do
yet you sent lighting through their bodies and all three of them are alive to this day
Tumblr media
The Main Character - like bro ARE you even trying. All you ever do to this man is monologue at him. Yap yap yap yap yap yap yap Gaius may in fact been trying to talk him to death
Tumblr media
like quit posing and get it over with already
Sachiko- Like not only did you not kill her after shooting her with lighting but she revived with a second form
Tumblr media
and one shot YOU
Tumblr media
the absolute fraud behavior on display disgust me everytime I see it
Get it out of my face. I don't want to see it anymore
In conclusion, Gaius
Do Better

The Memory of You; Beginning / Mean / End
Tumblr media
“You are so bad at this.”
“What did you say?”
You laughed, repeating your words with a louder voice, “I said; you’re so bad at this!”
You were not even looking at him, but you could tell that he was getting irritated by the second, more so at his phone, his screen showing the graphics of the same game you had been playing these past few months—oh yes, good old Genshin Impact.
“Why is he even so weak? Is he really this useless?! What a joke!”
You peaked on his mobile screen and inquired “Who are you even talking about?” you paused, peeking your eyes to his game, “The traveler?”
“Yeah! The stupid—” he pauses, clearing his throat and hiding his face away, “Isn’t he supposed to be such a strong character? There’s no way the traveler could have defeated the enemies with this kind of level.”
You raised a brow, wondering where this animosity towards the MC came from when he just started playing the game.
Maybe he doesn’t like games in particular? Or just Genshin? Well, it’s not like you two had played other games so maybe you should let him try the others too.
“Well, you’ve got a point, the traveler is indeed kind of weak when it comes to the gameplay, compared to other 5-stars. Lore-wise, though, they made them really strong.”
“What a load of trash.”
“Yep, I agree.”
“Good-I mean, you do?” he now then faces you, head tilted to the side and brows furrowed.
“Mhm” you hummed as you nodded, pursing your lips as you leaned back on the couch and crossed your arms, “It’s so unfair that they made them so different from the lore. But every company does what every company does—they want to earn money. So of course, they’ll make the other characters more desirable than the free ones.”
He smirks then.
“Why? Why are you smirking?”
“Nothing.”
“That doesn’t look like it’s nothing.”
┌───────── · · · · ꒰⚘݄꒱₊
“It had been a while since you’ve gone outside for that long. Whoever that man is, I’d like to see him and thank him for that.”
You laughed at your friend with a hand over your face, softly biting your lower lip, “Stop it. He’s not.”
“Didn’t know you’re a tsundere, Y/n.”
You were giggling when a knock resounded from your door, opting you to hurriedly stand from your bed and rush to answer—who was it? Surely there’s no one else who would—
“Oh, it’s you,” you were faced with Mouche, the very same person who you were talking about to the friend you are still on the phone with. Wait-
“Hey, hey, hey, who’s that? Is that him? Hand him the phone!”
“Yeah, nope, goodbye. Talk to you later.” You immediately hang up without even waiting for your friend to say a single word more before raising a brow at the man in front of you, ready to question him about what he was doing here when he interrogates you first.
“Who was that?”
“What?”
He crosses his arms over his chest as he repeats with a firmer tone, “I asked you who was that.”
“My friend…?”
“What do you mean your friend? You don’t have one. Is that a lover?”
“What do you mean I don’t have one? Of course, I have a friend! I have friends!”
You wanted to assume that he was merely teasing you but he genuinely looked like he meant the question with that serious look on his face—you don’t even know if you should feel judged or not.
“If you’re only going to judge me, you should tell me first why you’re here. At my house.”
His facade fades too suddenly, his shoulders easing up despite still keeping his arms crossed, facing you more and his eyes avoiding yours simultaneously. This is not the first time he had done such a thing that you so very well knew what he was thinking even without him answering.
You sigh in defeat before opening your door wide, “Alright. Let’s play today. I’ll forgive you if you order food for us.”
┌───────── · · · · ꒰⚘݄꒱₊
“What? Are you seeing him again today? What is this, a date?”
You breathed out a sigh as soon as you leaned on the back of the bus, shrugging to yourself as you had your friend on the receiver, “I mean, I don’t know anymore. We’re just going out. As friends.”
“As friends.” You could hear your friend scoff, “As if. Y/n, what if you like him just because he looks like someone you like? From 2D all the more!”
You chewed on your lower lip as you close your eyes and heave out a sigh.
It was a question you found you couldn’t answer.
By the time you got off the bus, you immediately saw his figure, and as if he had such high senses, he meets your eyes.
He really does look like Scaramouche, you frown to yourself. One time, you actually told him about this, and he was rather… odd.
(“You know what? You look like this guy over here.” You brought your screen right next to Mouche, watching him blink at you confusedly before snatching your phone to see who it was.
“His name’s Scaramouche, he’s from the game as well. Weird, right? Your name’s Mouche too!” You giggled, but instead of hearing his usual scoffs or snides, he merely took a look at the screen and swatted it away from him–“Hey!” It was a good thing you caught it.
“Nothing like me. The real one obviously looks better.”
“Hey! How dare you say that to my favorite character like that!” you whined with a pout.
You brought the screen back beside him and he swats your hand away, you were about to tease him more when you saw how his cheeks and his ears were tainted with a red hue, eyes looking away and avoiding your gaze.)
“Wow, never envisioned you to be a gentleman,” you send him a look, to which he only glared at and scoffed as if he hadn’t just pulled a chair for you before he took a seat on his own.
“You got me wrong all along then,” he flashes you a smirk with his chin up and crossed arms. Ah, the nerve—
“Yes, such a perfect person you are,” you mocked, earning a raised eyebrow from him.
You kept to yourself as you pondered over your friend’s question earlier, (“What if you like him just because he looks like someone you like?”)
Because… what if you were?
┌───────── · · · · ꒰⚘݄꒱₊
“You’re sighing once again, what is it?”
You couldn’t help but glance over at Mouche, his brows knitted and his lips pursed downwards, “Oh, nothing. Just… thinking.”
“Hm,” he looks away, seemingly uninterested but still adding on “You’re worrying for nothing, whatever that is.”
It was your time to raise a brow, “What do you think I’m worried about?”
He shrugs, “Just something useless.”
You hesitated before facing away from him, stopping in your tracks “But what if it’s about you?”
He follows your suit and stops walking as well, his gaze boring into you as if he was piercing your soul with them.
“What about me?”
“Ah, nevermind-”
He steps your way and leans forward, “What? What is it? Spit it out.”
“No, no, it’s nothing-”
“It’s not nothing if you couldn’t even remember what I was saying before I called you out for spacing out on me.”
“I-” you stagger, hesitating for a long while, looking him in the eye only to sigh heavily in defeat, “alright, alright, fine! You win!”
You looked around the area as he smirks on his own, placing his hand on his waist and leaning on his side, “Just spit it out. I’m quite curious what it is you’re worried about, for me, nonetheless.”
He is definitely teasing you, but you can’t really back out now that you’re pulling his arm to follow you down on a bench nearby,
“Ha, so you are worried about me.”
“Shut up.”
“But it’s true,” he smirks wider.
“Stop it-I just… I’m not worried about you,” you look away from his intense gaze, feeling the back of your neck heat up, “I’m worried because of you.”
“Hm?” he raises a brow, “go on.”
You chew on your lower lip, fidgeting with your fingers, only for you to feel your chin be raised with his fingers, letting you meet his eyes once again—the same eyes that you’ve always wondered if they were contacts or not but hey… they look pretty. Really, really pretty (you already forgot what you wanted to say at this point).
“Go on,” he says.
Ah, shit, you cursed in your mind, your face heating up—how are you so close to him? How is he making your heart beat like drums? How is he making you feel like this if you–
If you only like him just because he looks like someone you like in a stupid game.
Stupid heart.
Stupid you.
You like him already.
“I like you.”
Stupid.
You could hear your heart beating in your ear the whole time that you two were engulfed in silence, only for him to chuckle, showing off a rare smile you doubt you ever saw from him—he looked…
“Amusing,” he says, tilting his head to the side, “You’re very amusing, Y/n.”
You wanted to pull away but he still have a hold on your chin (and you kind of did not want to get out of it-).
“What? I… I like you as a friend! Yeah! T-That’s it!”
“Mhm, I hear you,” he pulls away and crosses his arms, looking at you with that smug look on his face.
You leaned back as well, trying to hide your face away from his gaze. You can’t even come up with a comeback at this point.
“U-uhm, I think I should go home-”
“Wait, what are you doing?”
You stop on your tracks before you could even stand, feeling his hand on your wrist.
One thing you noticed from him and never really expected were how soft his hands were, and how gentle he holds you with them.
Damn.
“You haven’t even heard what I want to say yet.” he stands as well, but this time, you could only silently watch and listen, because for some reason, your throat is all dried up and you couldn’t find either a voice or words to say anything. At all.
“Y/n,” he leans forward and before you could even brace yourself, he begins a conversation that you probably couldn’t remember anymore.
“Unfortunately, I like you too,” he smiles, but funny enough, it wasn’t as bright as the previous one earlier. But now, you can't see his face as he leans next to your ear, his voice low and his breath so warm you could barely feel anything else.
“But I don’t think we really should feel that way to each other.”
He leans away and just as you regained your breathing back, he takes a hold of your hand.
“W-wait wha-“
“I lied to you,” he cuts you off, his eyes on your interlaced fingers. You could feel his thumb massage your skin gently, soothing you down and also making your heart raise all the same.
“My name, I mean.” He meets your eyes, “My name… is Kunikuzushi, but there’s really no point saying this because… all your memories that has me here, you’ll forget all of them.”
“What-“
“You will forget me, and you will forget everything.”
“What’s your name aga-“
“You know me. You already know me.”
You grasped his hand tight and pulled him closer. “Did you just say your name is… Kunikuzushi?”
He flashes you a smirk—or tried to, anyway.
“You really are amusing.” He squeezes your hand and raises them, pressing a kiss on it. “It was nice hearing you say my name. It was nice… meeting you, Y/n.”
He lets go of your hand.
“Stay amusing, will you?”
And he disappears.
From your sight;
From your mind,
All the way from the start;
But not from your heart.

What the fuck is blue archive if you know. I got 3 friends trying to pull me into it. Game looks pretty but not a fan of it being literally schoolgirls.
If you're not a fan of that then you're really not going to like it, yeah.
I played it a few months as a side game, for reference:
It's an autobattler that's nnnnnot really fun or good in terms of gameplay and I'd say it's boring, to be frank. However, the main draw of Blue Archive is not its gameplay, it is in fact everything surrounding it, it's got production values up the wazoo, including stellar music, great graphics, excellent animations, crisp and smooth effects, and overall it's a truly gorgeous package and wrapping. Basically, BA doesn't really care about having gameplay worth talking about and instead focuses on everything else presentation-wise and when it comes to its cutscenes, bond cutscenes, Live2D animations for characters, and all that. I'm told that it has a solid plot but I've also been told gullible is written on the ceiling so I'm just relaying that info but I'm not putting my name behind it. From what I played, I can tell you it had fun writing in a wacky way (I still hold Aru and Problem Solver dear, they are Team Rocket, basically), but that's the extent of my praise for (and my knowledge of) its writing.
It is unapologetically catastrophically horny for school girls so if that's a no-no for you, then that's THE no-no for you and you should not even consider it, yeah. You'll hear "um there's teachers too", which is true in the same way that the cheap delicious sandwich you ate at that joint last week was totally not rat meat because it had 2% ground beef in the patty.
So if you're looking for a game with great presentation, worth a look, if you want a game with fun gameplay, ActRaiser for the SNES is right there and it's very easy to emulate, you can play as an angel in that one and it's real fun and ambitious for its time, also it's got a real Castlevania-ass vibe going on with its music, and if you want a game in which you don't go googoogaga over schoolgirls, then you already stopped reading a few paragraphs ago, because, again, BA's absolutely not the game for you, so I'll take the chance to say that maybe look for a guide for ActRaiser before starting for the builder sections but JUST to see what things do, try to figure things out yourself from there on, trust me, it's a fun game. Super Castlevania IV is also good tbh you could try that one too, it's challenging but REAL solid. Listen to ActRaiser Stage 1.

me when i don’t know the difference between storytelling and game mechanics
Tumblr media
story wise, yeah, the colonized people in re5 are all victims of the real antagonists. from a gameplay perspective, they are enemies you have to defeat in order to progress. it’s unavoidable. and technically, since most of the info that gives people genuine sympathy for the victims is hidden in files that plenty of players won’t read, even that sympathy is optional.
sorry i just ugh i wanna tear my hair out and you’ve always got good and normal takes about re5 and the (unfortunately) inevitable remake i just needed some sanity
omfg why do people refuse to critically think about the things they consume?? is it that hard??
people always wanna be so weird whenever shit like this happens. ur right the game makes it clear they’re victims but when you have to gun down a bunch of africans who are literally caricatures its not a stretch to say that its a little weird.
its like what i was talking about in a past post of mine how one thing i DISLIKE ab resi is how bad they are at giving humanity to the zombies and other default creatures, and this is another example of that. doesnt help black people are dehumanized to an absolutely awful degree.
and the ign article went into more detail than just “the black people are antagonists,” its incredibly bad faith to present it as though its just some “overdramatic liberal pandering” or whatever on igns part.
people who refuse to critically analyze racial depictions in media want to think we live in a world thats perfect and we can just have the same depictions of everyone and its all sunshine and rainbows. no, unfortunately thats not how it works and capcom needs to be careful about how they depict other cultures. digressing, but im also not too happy with how they treated the spanish villagers in 4, the chinese j’avo in re6, and the romanian villagers in re8.
idk its annoying seeing these everywhere like please think for more than two seconds about implications

Was talking with Bim about the ER cast in AC6 and then this happened.
The rest of Malenia's kids as ACs:
(Polyanna is in this post)
Maureen:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maureen in ER uses the Treespear, which has a bit more varried moveset than other spears, so I opted to use the laser slicer cause I think it has the most moves out of all the melee weapons in AC6. And its one-two is kinda similar to the R2 chain of the Treespear.
Amy:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can't dual wield melee weapons in AC6 (Amy uses two flowing swords in ER), so the best I could do was one of the light wave blades. Cause two light waves is equal to two different blades..? Yeah. I went with the Coral one cause red fits the Rot better.
Mary:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A scythe... Scythes are pointy. Check. Sometimes you swing them in an upwards arc. Check... Yeah, I don't know, the pile bunker was the best I think to do here.
Millicent:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She got a fancy sword and the "heroic" frame look. There are no curved swords in AC6, other than the one I used for Amy (I could had used the other one but it'd feel too similar), and my only way of mimicking the waterfowl dance is with the slicer, which fits better in Maureen's hands. So. Fancy sword it is.
~
The frame choices are purely vibe based.
Also, gameplay-wise, they are all worse than the Poly build, cause the Poly build can handle itself just fine with the fist and the dagger, while all of these rely a lot on the turrets for actual continuous damage. Sure they can all pack a punch when charged, but their "reload" times generally suck and you can't really stun-lock enemy ACs the way you can with the Poly build.

Sane and normal behavior is wanting to pursue Harper as an LI but I was contemplating the plausibility of which in terms of DoL as a game as well as the role of the PC and Harper to the best of my knowledge. If anyone happens to be interested in this utter insanity, disclaimers are everything below the cut is from my POV as a player; that I do, in fact, have biases due to personal preferences; and while I tried my best to get my hands on most Harper stuff there is, I play DoL Very Safely (< focusing on being a functional member of society despite everything's going on while grinding stats And avoiding pregnancy) so there surely would be things I missed.
Additional warning for being too Long for someone with thoughts on an NPC with next to no disclosed lore. TL;DR at the end if anyone just wants to know the conclusion I reached :) Also! Open to any discussions or questions that may arise! I'd be happy to talk to anyone about anything DoL here lol.
So, Harper LI. There are two possible ways I can come up with this, either a Stockholm route or uh, half-way functional ig??? The former is clearly more likely than the latter (laughs) but I find the hypothetical gameplay to be less interesting. The problem with either of these is requiring the player to be able to spend time with Harper—like, plenty of it—which the current game doesn't even remotely allow the same way they do for us with the named NPCs we can work for. Letting the PC see Harper whenever would either destroy the elusive nature of Harper's character and/or undermine their established workaholicism, both of which I happen to be very fond of. Of course, the PC can become Harper's assistant etc which I categorize into the second way this can happen, but I'll expand on it as the secret third thing between the two.
Another point about Harper's character I wanna bring up is that, despite 90% of Who They Are exactly being complete whiteboard theory and personal tastes, one thing I can be Pretty Sure about is that they love their work more than they'll love the PC (the canon scenes proving this ranges from So Normal people probably don't think twice about it Or dearly hilarious, namely the encounter at the park if you're jogging naked there). A lot of Vrel's Q&A answers also point to this, which is something we can fall victim to or, you know, thoroughly exploit :)
Stockholm Route: Rather plausible, relatively speaking, but if no major changes can be made re:non-asylum Harper content this would most likely be locked behind the asylum with the addition of the Stockholm stat. Considering current Stockholm LIs sans Kylar, I don't consider it completely impossible ig?
Unlike (what I've seen) with Eden, BW, and GH however, I feel like this would be a one-way street into a different game mode altogether—yielding to Harper consistently locks you in as their "patient" brainwashed little toy for good and maintaining the power difference that, considering Harper's overall position and status in town, would largely influence the gameplay altogether both for the better and worse. Story-wise though it's surely consistent with (gestures) DoL is about so it's more about the technicalities of stuff.
I'm not exactly partial to this (personal tastes) (dislikes being almost entirely passive) but plenty of power to those who do.
Half-way Functional or I'd also like to call the Kylar-like Route: Possibly applies to Eden and a bunch of other non-LI NPCs too but I'm not exactly well-read on them due to the tunnel vision. This can be asylum-locked but I can see it with more frequent Harper visits available. The tldr of this is resisting their dodgy treatments to establish dominance (exploiting their workaholism and emotional repression) while aggressively coming onto them on your own terms.
"How would that even work?" Yeah, about that.
As much as I would love it in terms of the story I severely doubt that can ever happen because that is Not the point of DoL. It is Not written to primarily be a dating sim and neither is the PC supposed to be the protag of a romance in the truest sense. The school LIs are written to be otome game-like since you're more or less equals with them but that doesn't extend to the others, highlighting the PC's position relative to those higher than them in the hypothetical hierarchy—you can't very actively flirt with Avery or Eden before you can take them as an LI, ie to start with it's mostly Them seeking You out than the other way around, which is, unfortunately, the case with Harper here.
I can go on a bit more about how this undermines DoL and compromises the PC's role/function in general but I might have to start actually citing texts which... yeah no I'm not insane enough to do that yet. But! You can read about it in this interview. This is not to mention the numerous new gameplay mechanics that will have to be added and how they consequently influence existing content, but it's fun for me to think about. Pissing Harper off Then working the fact that they can't just Drop you because you're their patient and they're so committed to their job to your advantage. Charming.
The mentor-mentee/assistant route potentially falls into either umbrella plotline I mentioned, maybe even as a possible aftermath to Stockholm. The second one would slightly diverge since I think if you actively match their energy without straight up trying to straight up bully them it Might end up as actual criminal romance but, again, the PC's nature and the gameplay withstanding).
I can't remember if I have anything else I'd like to add so here's a thank you to anyone who actually read any of these LMAO and if you're a fellow Harper—or any other character, really—liker in a "I want to claw them apart and see what's inside" way (like me) there's this neat site that compilates the Q&As with Vrel (godspeed OP where would I be without them).
TLDR: Not very, Very plausible but if it does happen they'll likely be a Stockholm-inducing LI locked behind the asylum. If it's LI (conventional sense) then that's more likely than not never happening since it compromises quite a bit of what DoL is as its core. Wanna be their little underling? To me it falls into one of the aforementioned generally speaking, so it's a (wave hands) thing there.

So I was listening to SMT V soundtrack again on Spotify and I was listening to Jouin High Theme and Tokyo Daybreak (song that plays when you are on map of "humanity's Tokyo") and it made me realize how pointless that elements of the game were. Like... Besides reporting to Bethel and talking with your classmates on rooftop or going to shrine (where you couldn't interact with almost anything anyways) you literally couldn't do anything there lol. Like sure, you unlocked Leiline Fount to Tokyo and you could techically go back there anytime you wanted even during main missions but it was pointless cause there wasn't anything to do there.
So yeah, while listening I got some ideas how this area and segment of the game could be improved and given its own flavor (and actually making us to use that Leiline Fount to Tokyo once in a while), without making it too much like a Persona:
[and before any hardcore SMT fans come at me with "so you just want another Persona game" a disclaimer that it was Atlus' idea at the first place to give us ability to come back home between acts and I'm just giving my ideas how could they improve this segment that is already in the game and again, it was already Atlus' idea to make it happen, not mine]
- I think this area of the game would improve greatly if we got some sort of a small shopping district in the humanity's Tokyo where you could buy HP/MP/battle items that you can't normally get in D'aat, and also we could have some sort of a demon that likes collecting human things like Collector Manikin was in Nocturne that could give us some quests to retrieve something from human's world for them in exhange for items and maybe we'd have to do actually something in human's world in order to retreive them (I can totally see the Trauma of Puzzle Boy: Electric Boogaloo happening lmaooo)
-In addition to point above: I can totally see a problem happening with: "okay SMT games are using Macca but in humanity's Tokyo they are probably still using Yen as money", so here's my idea of a solution of that problem: Either at that Collector Demon or Chironnupu, or in Gustave's Shop, you could have a "money exchanging service" feature where you could exchange Macca for Yen and the other way around, so you could buy the items in humanity's Tokyo as well
-okay that one is kind of a silly but: A demon rescue quests :P Like we could find and bring back to D'aat some not-so-bright demons or demonic kids that wandered to humanity's Tokyo and don't know how to come back. Example of a demon rescue quest: We would meet an adult Jack Frost in D'aat that is worried because his lil' Frostie hadn't returned home yet and he heard Frostie mentioning how he wants to see human's Tokyo before, so he would ask Nahobino to go look for him in human's world, and as a reward, he would agree to join his party etc. I think it could be a interesting use of this area as well.
-(This one is more my personal wish, not a gameplay idea I have) I wish we actually were able to explore Jouin Dorm fully, not just the rooftop. Imagine how much of a headcanon/fic potential we would have if we would be able to see V-kun's dorm room (like in the previous games we could see how Kazuya's room looked like in SMT I and also we saw some glimpse at Naoki's room in Nocturne's Freedom ending so I don't understand why we couldn't see V-kun's room as well) and/or other character's rooms - that way we could learn more about them just by being able to see what they keep in their rooms. Also I believe it would be a great opportunity for Atlus to hide some easter eggs to their previous games- like perhaps someone had some Phandom merch on their shelf, maybe V-kun had some drawings on his desk and one of them depicted Magatama from SMT III, maybe someone had manga with characters from Catherine on the cover etc etc. That is totally pointless idea gameplay wise but it would be cool for storytelling/worldbuilding or just headcanons/fics purposes in my opinion
Yeah, so that was just my ideas that in my opinion would improve "humanity's Tokyo" fragment of the game greatly, cause I think it was massive lost of a potential from Atlus's side. Hope you enjoyed my idea dump haha

Noe Bodi Gameplay: Day 34, Part 2
It start off so innocent. Darrell Parker (@simsinfinitylt) and Donna Richmond (@elysiantrait) were having a date at the bar.
Tumblr media
Darrell waved the bartender over for some drinks immediately. You'll notice that this bartender is none other than Martin Davies (@starjira), but that's because he is currently undercover working a case.
Tumblr media
When their food came out, I tried to get Donna to sit next to Darrell, but at that moment Maike Zambrano (@fl0pera) strutted her way in and plopped right next to Darrell instead!
Tumblr media
The nerve! I just KNOW she was trying to flirt. To her credit, she didn't know he was on a date and took his disinterest in stride, but damn, if Donna was a jealous type of girl, this could have gone ugly!
Tumblr media
But it didn't. It went beautifully. They talked, they laughed, they drank, they ate, and they did it all with a smile. Their date was rising so high in the rank I was sure we'd get full marks by the time it was done.
Tumblr media
Oh, was I wrong.
At some point I didn't even have to do anything; their autonomy kicked in and the flirting leveled up to steamy looks and thinly-veiled innuendos. Look at Donna's goddamn face here.
Tumblr media
If only I had known what that meant.
I was just too innocent. "Oh look, they're getting up to leave, I wonder why?"
Tumblr media
Sex.
It was to have SEX.
Insert SFW glimpse of what these two HORNDOGS were doing right outside the bar.
Tumblr media
No regard for safety hazards, public decency, NOTHING. They just kept fucking.
Meanwhile everybody in the bar is mingling like NORMAL SIMS. Rain Drop (@riverofjazzsims) was talking to Maike, Kash Monet (@saruin) took a seat to search the menu, and Rhea MOya (@fl0pera) was glaring at a base game townie who I guess was in her way.
Tumblr media
And still they kept fucking.
Dirk Dreamer dropped by and got everyone's attention! As a CELEBRITY! With big clout and exposure!
Tumblr media
And still they kept fucking.
Dirk Dreamer, Wolfgang Wilder and Kalamainu'u Iona were in a weird spiderman meme stand off for no good reason!
Tumblr media
And STILL they kept fucking.
Ronan O'Flannigan (@blackfern) enetered the building looking to get drunk after a long day of experimenting with potions in the Magic Realm.
Tumblr media
AND. STILL. THEY. KEPT. FUCKING.
I didn't know what to do. Actual tea and drama was brewing inside the bar (Like Kash seemingly flirting with Dirk Dreamer when her soulmate is off to who knows where), and the Two D's made NO indication of caring!
Tumblr media
Mind you, I kept clicking "next" on the WW menu to make it go faster, and every time I thought it was the end, it fucking WASN'T. They so much energy for each other I wondered if it was a soulmate stamina buff I didn't know about.
It took Kash and Rhea to leave the bar (luckily Kash didn't try to take Dirk home) for my two horndogs to cease and desist.

Look at em standing there, facing opposite of each other. Like they didn't do what they did for an hour and change.
Then I looked at the top menu. THEIR DATE WAS NOT OFFICIALLY OVER YET. There was still a sliver of time left.
And they used that time wisely, I guess.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, that's right. All that fucking and they did not kiss ONCE. Unless the official game says they kissed, they didn't fucking kiss.
At least then the date was officially over.
Speaking of fucking, apparently the side of the bar is a hotspot I didn't know about. Because guess who started FUCKING randomly when they walked over to where Darrell and Donna was?

Apologies for the zoomed in shots, I am NOT saving that filth for posterity lol.
I guess now that the date was over, Darrel and Donna found their sense of shame, because they instantly walked away from the situation. In opposite directions.
Tumblr media
Oh, but that's not all.
Someone else joined in.

WHAT IS GOING ONNNNNNN
IT'S FREEZING OUT HERE
WHAT ARE Y'ALL DOING
Noemy (@beebeesiims) baby I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry that WW's autonomy settings put you into this public threeway like you don't have common sense.
I just stared at the screen. MORTIFIED.
And so was Darrell I guess, because he started RUNNING AWAY.
Tumblr media
FUCK YOU DARRELL YOU STARTED THIS, YOU AND DONNA SET THE TREND AND NOW WE GOT AN UP AND COMING FUCK SPOT ON THE SIDE OF THE BAR! THERE IS NO TURNING BACK. THERE IS NO ERASING WHAT WE'VE DONE! WHAT I HAVE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN FOR THE SAKE OF THE STORY! GET YOUR ASS ON HOME!
And that's the story of how a First Date with Soulmates ended with an Orgy. Save me.

I know I've talked about the polygon review ad nauseum but it's what inspired me to buy Bayonetta 3 for myself tbh because absolutely positively no one except for 2 mutuals is ever like. Yeah Bayonetta 2 sucked because Bayonetta was like a side character in her own fucking game and also everything with Balder was bad and a retcon and also more importantly bad and Rosa kind of sucked and was a missed opportunity.
Like I see enough complaints about Bayo 2 gameplay wise and I see enough Loki haters for it to be like, a thing, even if it feels like a minority, but virtually nobody talks about how Bayo 1 is firmly Bayonetta's story (and a fucking good one at that stop talking about how incomprehensible it is) while Bayo 2 is. Extremely male centric? Idk it's still so insane to me that anyone would complain about Viola being too masc while Bayo 2 mostly revolved around Balder's reconned manpain like maybe you should think about why you find masc women more threatening than actually misogynistic men who can't help but say misogynistic things in game ("Your impudence will cost you your life, witch" > men who feel bad about the witch hunts don't say this) (HOW WERE THE WITCH HUNTS AN ACCIDENT FUCK YOU THIS MAKES NO SENSE WHY DOES ROSA GET SPEAKING LINES AND MOST OF THEM ARE ABOUT ABSOLVING BALDER) ("You are no left eye but you may still hand it over like a lady" don't you miss when god was a woman and mostly did Grey DeLisle noises)
Uh anyway Viola feels like she has less screentime than Loki and is certainly less plot relevant (LOKI BEATS THE FINAL BOSS FOR US MOSTLY WHAT DOES VIOLA GET)
Obligatory this is the butchest character y'all can handle etc. Etc.
