So... Joel told Tommy about the two times he "froze" and couldn't do anything even though Ellie was in danger. And he feels so guilty about it that he "forgets" to mention that someone (or several someones) was pointing a gun at him at the moment. He made the right choices both times because he just would've gotten himself killed or (even worse) both of them.

But he's such a good Dad already, so blinded by unconditional love that he genuinely thinks he should've risked his own life, jump in front of her like a human shield, he thinks he should've gone against logic and reason and his own survival instincts that have kept them both alive to this point because he loves her so much already.

That's his daughter now.

Hi, thank you for your ask! (I think I should come up with some new greeting, cause these past few weren't exactly asks?...eh whatever, I've already commited to the bit)

Honestly anon? I keep myself asking the same thing. I've never expected this fic to be like this, or even go for this long, or have so many people liking it (I'm still suprised about the last one q-q)

I started it as "if nobody is going to write about them, I'm gonna do it myself", but before I was able to do it, somebody already posted dl! Pearl and Spider Gem on ao3 (curse you, chemistry exams!) and I kinda felt like "I mean...at least I know I'm not the only one thinking like that...and I won't be the first...eh whatever, let's post it."

It did took me a moment to find my rhythm for writing and posting (if you see the first chapters, my schedule was all over the place), but after I found it, it feels...nice to create something once again and it feels nice that there are people awaiting for another part of this story (believe me, there is still a lot and I hope I will be able to share it with you all <3).

As for the "no parts that got you confused"? I'm trying to make my fic and stories as clear as possible, even if it maybe doesn't give you enough space to ask about it.
